From the corner of my eye, I could see our reflection in his bedroom mirror. His hard, sleek body, covered in ink on top of me. Hips thrusting. His long cock driving in and out of me. My breasts forced to move to his fast, violent rhythm.

I let my arms fall to my sides and gripped the sheets. My legs spread so he could get even deeper inside of me. The messy sound of our bodies colliding grew louder than the moans pouring out of my throat.

I stared up into his eyes. Blue eyes, so focused, so intense… I could see right into his soul.

  “You like it?” he grunted.

  “Yes,” I sighed. “Harder…”

The words barely escaped me before another pathetic whimper spilled out of me. I shut my eyes tight, bracing myself from the pleasure. He felt so damn good that I couldn’t keep up.

I pressed my feet into the mattress. My toes curled on their own. I was still in full control but my body was slowly beginning to slip away from me.

I pushed my hips up and arched my back. Sebastian placed his hands underneath me, picking me up so he could drive his cock up and into me.

  “Holy…”

I couldn’t finish. He was giving it to me so damn good. My insides were on fire. His hilt slapping against my clit made it even worse for me.

  “Come here.”

He sat me up completely on his cock. I whipped my hair back and brushed my bangs out of my face. Lips smacking with a sloppy kiss, we slammed our bodies together with even more forceful thrusts.

I hung back on him just enough, hanging onto the back of his neck and broad shoulders with both hands. I stared at him while I grinded on top of his cock.

Sebastian kept me in place, squeezing my waist while he met each one of my thrusts.

  “Kristen… I can’t…”

“Come inside of me… Give it to me…”

He flipped a switch, pounding his cock up and into me even harder. He worked his length like a piston. My mouth hung open but nothing came out. One eye open, I grimaced in embarrassing agony as my orgasm was just in reach. I could feel my climax building inside of me, bubbling over until there was nothing I could do stop it.

  “Sebastian…”

I held my breath for a moment then tightened every muscle in my body before letting go. I fell over the edge with a loud, quivering groan.

My whole body quaked with pleasure. Warm spasms spread from my core and vibrated through the rest of me. I dug my nails into the back of his neck, holding on for dear life. My climax was so strong that I thought I would pass out completely.

Sebastian kept pumping his cock into me, thrusting so hard and deep into me like he wanted to break me. His cock pulsed and thick spurts of cum filled me up. I tightened around him involuntarily, milking his cock for every drop he had.

I slowly grinded against him, savoring the last moments of my climax before letting the feeling slowly subsided from me.

I moved forward enough so that I could rest my head on his shoulder. Bodies sweating. Hearts racing. Sticky, messy bodies pressed against each other. I stayed in Sebastian’s embrace before he eventually set me down.

I let out a contented sigh and smiled as post-orgasmic ecstasy continued to tingle through the rest of me. A few seconds went by before I could finally open my eyes.

Sebastian stood next to his window. His hard body glistened from the sunlight shining in. Ink shining in the light highlighted all of his muscles. Tan skin that looked good enough to eat. To think that I was with a man like Sebastian was nothing short of incredible.

He puffed on a cigarette while he continued staring out into the distance.

  “What’s on your mind?”

I crept up next to him and wrapped my arms around his waist.

“Nothing is on my mind,” he said. “Just you.”

“You got any plans for today?”

“Nothing in particular. Just finishing up club business. Running this place is my job, you know? It’s a bit of a hassle.”

“I’ve been to Hades enough to see how much of a hassle it can be. But you made a little bit of cash. You can always sell the place and relax.”

  “There’s an idea.”

He leaned forward and kissed me. The smoke was still fresh on his lips. His facial hair brushed against my skin, another reminder that he was the only man who could satisfy me.

  “What about you?” he asked.

  “What about me?”

  “You got any plans?”

“Just work. It’s strange being back. Being able to do what I want to do without having to deal with Emerson or worry about what Whitaker was having me do. I can… I can just be me. I feel kind of… ordinary now.”

  “You’re anything but ordinary, KK.”

“When I’m with you, I feel that way.”

He finished his cigarette then pushed the butt down in an ashtray.

“What do you think I should do?” he asked.

  “What do you mean?”

“I’ve still got some money from Emerson. I could sell the joint and retire like you said. Or I could do something else.”

“Don’t ask me what to do. Do what you think is right. Whatever it is, just know that I’m always by your side. No matter what.”

I pressed my head against his chest and stared out the window.

“Strange,” I said. “I’ve been looking at these streets all my life. This has been my home for so long. But it feels different now.”

  “In what way?”

“I don’t know. It just… It just feels like I belong here, being with the person I was meant to be with.”

I turned up and smiled at him.

  “I love you,” I whispered.

There was the subtlest smile on his lips as he leaned forward. I savored the taste of him for as long as I could before he pulled away.

  “I love you, too.”

  Chapter 29

  SEBASTIAN

The mood was a shit-load lighter in church but that didn’t mean there wasn’t work to be done. Every man in the MC was focused as the club treasurer went over our final finances.

“One million to the Desert Rebels,” Ezra said. “Another million to the Yakuza. And another million to the Black Reapers…”

“Who only sent one fucking man,” Hunter grumbled. “We should’ve just kept the fucking money.”

“Nothing wrong with building a little goodwill with the other MCs in town,” Roman said. “The Reapers have been around a good amount of time.”

“I know Garnet,” I added. “The motherfucker won’t put that money to waste. Reapers do a lot of good work in Ivory.”

“Whatever,” Hunter said. “We still could’ve put that money to good use ourselves.”

Ezra cleared his throat and got everybody’s attention.

“Another few hundred thousand to Aden’s friend Yates for setting up the fight,” he said. “And yet another few hundred thousand to the Yakuza for the cleanup.”

“I’d say that’s money well spent,” I said. “We made a mess. Takahashi and his boys cleaned it up pretty damn well. Haven’t heard about any cops sniffing around. Feds neither.”

“What about the deal?” Aden asked.

“It’s done. Emerson was the head of the snake. With Alvarez gone, too, everybody else scattered like roaches. The big city up north is being divided up by all of the dealers trying to stake out their claim.”

“Drugs,” Roman said. “Shit’s more complicated than they’re worth.”

“The more important thing is that all of that shit is out of Ivory,” Aden said. “No manufacturing in this town. No major distribution. The biggest drug kingpin in the state… Vanished without a trace.”

“Yeah, I suppose that’s nice and all,” Hunter sighed. “All of that fucking work just to piss all of that money away. How much cash do we actually have left?”

Ezra looked down at his notepad and scribbled with his pen. At this point, I didn’t care too much about how much cash was left. But I’d be lying if I said th
at I wasn’t listening as close as everybody else was.

“That night of the job, it was just like you said,” Ezra said. “We pulled in just about five million. With all of the people we had to pay off dealing with Emerson, that leaves with about 1.5.”

“Not bad,” Roman said. “Three hundred per man.”

“You said it’d be a million each,” Hunter said as he looked at me.

The rest of the club eyeballed him and he put his hands up.

“But whatever,” Hunter said. “All that work for 300,000. I can’t complain.”

“That’s a lot more than you’re worth, brother,” Aden said.

  “Shut up.”

Everybody else at the table laughed at Hunter’s expense. He was still in a good mood though, considering he was getting paid.

“What are you gonna do with your money?” Hunter said.

“I don’t know,” Aden said. “I think I’m gonna buy a nice big house.”

  “Really?”

  “Of course not.”

I got up from my seat and got everybody’s attention. I looked at each man one by one. Roman. Hunter. Aden. Ezra. I couldn’t help but smile thinking about all the shit we’d been through. Just knowing that we were all still here was enough for me.

“There are always drugs moving around this town,” I said. “People depend on MCs to transport shit back and forth. Nothing moves faster, quieter, better… than a club. But Murph always said the real money was in taking jobs that never took much commitment. You move weight, you’ve got a lot of shit on your shoulders. Cops. Feds. Private investigators. Other dealers and gangs. In all his years as a Devil, Murph said he was always trying to get away from the drugs…”

The club didn’t seem to care that I was getting emotional thinking about the old man. Not surprising, since every man in the room had some connection to him. We all wore the same patch.

I sighed and shook my head to maintain my composure.

“…He was proud of us,” I said. “He was proud of the job we pulled. Not because of how much money it was but because of who we did it to. Emerson was a piece of shit who got what was coming to him. But if we take this money, knowing where it came from, and use it like he would’ve used it, we’re no better than he is.

“I’m not telling you what to do. Every man was in on that job. You’ll get your cut. Just remember that we… I fucked up. We lost one of our own because of it. Do something that would make Murph proud.”

“…Yeah,” Ezra said with a nod. “I get what you’re saying. Hell, I’ve already been there before. With what Lacey and I have already been through, this was never about the money to me. This was about doing what’s right.”

“I read you,” Aden said. “I can do a lot of good with that cash. I think I’ll do it.”

I looked over at my VP and he nodded back to me.

“Make Murph proud,” he said. “I gotcha.”

“You guys can do all of that nice shit with your money,” Hunter said. “But I knew Murph as well as anybody. You saw the way the motherfucker dressed. He was a hustler. And hustlers know there’s only one way to spend this kinda cash.”

Hunter laughed to himself while everybody else rolled their eyes. I sighed a deep breath but eventually laughed right along with Hunter.

“You do whatever you wanna do, brother,” I said. “You earned it.”

  “Thank you, Pres,” Hunter replied.

“Was there anything else we needed to talk about?” Roman asked.

I looked down at the ground and thought about it. It was hard to believe that everything had been settled.

“Emerson is gone,” I said. “The man responsible for killing Murph is dealt with. The police aren’t anything to worry about and neither are the feds. Everybody we love is safe. There’s nobody out there looking to start shit with the Devils…”

“Damn,” Roman said. “It looks like the Devils are back.”

He smirked in a way that made me smile just the same as him.

“We’re back, all right,” I replied. “We’re back for good.”

  Chapter 30

  SEBASTIAN

  One month later…

“Blackjack is a simple game. You take the cards you want and give the dealer the cards you don’t want.”

“I don’t remember blackjack ever working like that… Last I checked, the dealer gives you cards and you don’t have a choice.”

“But you do have a choice… See here now… Twelve… Ugly hand… But the dealer is showing a five… I could take this card. But I’m gonna give it to him. I stand.”

  “Hunter, I really don’t think you should…”

The dealer flipped over his king and then drew a six.

“Twenty-one!” the dealer announced. “Sorry, sir.”

I watched as he took Hunter’s chips away. Even though I loved the guy, I couldn’t help but laugh that he’d just lost some money.

“Sometimes the cards don’t fall the way you want ‘em, too,” he said. “But you keep pushing and taking chances and eventually they’ll land your way.”

“Is that your philosophy on life?” I asked.

“Sure is. Take a look at me and Faye.”

We looked over in the distance at his old lady. She stood at the bar with Kristen by her side. The two of them laughed and spoke to one another like they’d known each other for years.

“I don’t know what I did to end up with a girl like her,” he said. “I thought I’d never see her again. But I kept pushing. I was grinding so hard up in the city. And then she just… kinda fell in my lap.”

  “We can’t escape our fate.”

“Yeah, it was destiny,” he sighed. “Kinda like this.”

He tapped the patch on his chest.

“I got your back,” Hunter said. “No matter what. I’ll always remember what you did for me.”

“Just rep the patch proud, brother. Keep doing what you’re doing. Though I gotta admit, I thought you were fucking joking when you said you were gonna have some fun with your money…”

“Just a few bucks. I’m not gonna go crazy. Can’t rob the place.”

“Why not? Eden Casino makes enough cash.”

“Maybe if Emerson were still in charge. Or Alvarez, too. But with Takahashi running this place now… You can bet I’m not gonna try to cross him.”

“You can win a few dollars. It’s not like we’re robbing the place.”

  “Not yet, anyway.”

Hunter gave me a wink then turned his attention back to his cards. I got up from my seat and interrupted the conversation between Hunter’s girlfriend and mine.

“How is he doing?” Faye asked.

“Losing,” I said. “He’s got a lot of money to lose before he’s out of it though.”

“Hunter always finds a way to bounce back. It doesn’t matter how deep he falls. He’s the kind of guy who can make his own luck. He’s been that way ever since I’ve known him.”

“A casino though?” Kristen said. “Eden is a nice place but losing all your cash isn’t the best way to celebrate.”

“I’ve been back from school for a month now. I figured I would give him his choice.”

“The bastard’s definitely enjoying himself, considering how drunk he is,” I said.

“I’m letting him have his fun,” Faye said with a laugh. “Things will be different now…”

She swallowed and looked away from us. It was like her mood had switched so suddenly. I knew it was serious because Faye wasn’t the type to joke.

  “Is something wrong?” I said.

“No, nothing’s wrong,” Faye said. “It’s just… I talked to Hunter about keeping it a secret but there’s really no way around it. I figure you two are as close to him as anybody.”

  “What secret?”

“Oh, my God,” Kristen said under her breath.

“What?” I said, still confused. “What is it?”

Kristen looked at me with a growing smile on her face then back
to Faye.

  “You’re pregnant…”

  “Yeah,” Faye scoffed.

  “Congratulations!”

Kristen hopped off of her seat and squeezed Faye tight.

“Wow,” I said, trying to take it all in. “Congrats.”

  “Thank you.”

  “You don’t… seem too excited.”

“I’m excited,” Faye said, a soft smile on her lips. “I’m definitely excited. It’s just a little overwhelming, what with school and my sister.”

“We’ll be here for you,” Kristen said as she put her hand on top of Faye’s. “All of us. Isn’t that right, Sebastian?”

“Definitely,” I replied. “Your son… Your daughter… They’ll get everything they need.”

“I know. Alice already loves you guys.”

Kristen kept gushing while Faye’s enthusiasm continued to grow. I looked back over at Hunter at the blackjack table.

  “Excuse me for a second…”

I walked to him just as the dealer finished scooping another stack of Hunter’s chips to his side of the table.

“Son of a bitch,” Hunter muttered. “Can you believe this luck?”

“Nobody’s lucky a hundred percent of the time.”

I put a hand on his shoulder and he got up from his seat.

“Bad dealer,” he said. “Bad table, too. I think I’m gonna try somewhere else… What are you doing? Why are you looking at me like that?”

  “Faye told me.”

  “Oh… Right… That…”

“You don’t seem all too happy about it, brother.”

“I don’t know if happy is the right word. I mean, I just told you there was a time when I never thought I’d ever see Faye again. Being with her and being able to provide for her and Alice is special. Knowing that we’re having a kid though… We’ve got a bond now. For the rest of our lives.”

Hunter had a look in his eyes. Despite how much he’d been drinking, it was like he’d become completely sober.

“I love her,” he said. “I’m ready to do anything I can for our baby.”

“I know. You don’t have to tell me that. The MC has got your back. You’re a Devil, Joker. You’re family. That includes all of us.”

  “Yeah… Thanks, man.”

I pulled him in tight for a hug. He squeezed his arms around me and patted me on the back. When he pulled away, he shook his head and started laughing.
