In Wulf’s Clothing

“I dreamed about this all the time I was gone.”

“I did too. It would wake me up at night in a sweat.” Not a cold sweat, either. “This is better.”

“Now you’ll have new memories.” Trey hummed softly, measuring his dick, base to tip, over and over again.

“I will.” A sharp pang hit him; Trey thought he was leaving again. That at the end of this trip, they would just part ways.

Cory didn’t think he could live through that. In fact, he didn’t intend to.

His wolf knew his mate had come home; there would be no losing the connection now. They would just have to find a way. His thoughts kept circling like buzzards, and that was not a fun image. So, he let Trey kiss them away.

The constant slide of Trey’s hand on his cock made his eyes cross, and it didn’t matter anymore—nothing did except that pressure and the slide of Trey’s tongue against his. He spread his legs a little wider to support their weight against the slight pull of the current and leaned against it, taking more of Trey’s weight.

“So fucking hot. I could ride you for hours.” Trey bit his shoulder, just enough to sting and make his asshole clench.

“I would let you. Maybe not here.” He was sweating, straining a little, but it was the best kind of workout ever.

“It’s a little slick.” Trey leaned back, watching as he jacked Cory. “You’ve grown up.”

“Mmm. You’re amazing, baby.” Trey was very much the same, but those eyes told stories he couldn’t even imagine.

He wanted to, though. He wanted to hear them all, one after another, until they were told and every story left had him in it.

“Cory.” Trey moaned, tugging at him, biting his neck, and he had a feeling his thoughts had gone through loud and clear.

He was nipping and biting the air, his balls drawing up hard and aching. If he could dance in the water, that was what he would call it.

“Come for me, mate. Show me how you want me.”

“Oh fuck. Fuck!” Cory did just that, shooting hard enough to rattle his teeth.

Trey groaned again, breath soft against his neck.

“Baby.” He rubbed Trey’s back, holding onto that tight butt with the other hand. The muscles there amazed him. What the hell did a clothing designer do to get butt muscles like that?

“Yeah. Fuck, that was hot. You were hot.”

“You needing, Trey? I won’t let you go hungry.”

Trey nodded, dragging them deeper into the heated water. “Hold me. I can wait.”

“Anything you want, baby.” He lifted Trey, just letting the buoyancy hold most of the weight. Not that he couldn’t keep Trey afloat. Trey was small next to him.

“I’ve been thinking about this since I came. It’s glorious. Still.” Trey just beamed, so happy that Cory couldn’t stop staring.

“It is, huh? I love to just come out here and float.” The water held magic. It washed away a host of problems.

“I bet. I’m glad—” That you shared it with me again. “—you have it.”

He tilted his head back to look at the sky, nodding. “I am too. It’s been a good thing in the gray. A lot of stuff has been kinda like oatmeal. Tasteless.”

Trey sighed softly, petting his skin, hands moving restlessly. “It’s going to be dark in a little while. Can we stay out here?”

“We can. We’ll just hang out, baby. The towels make nice blankets or we can go really au naturel.”

“I don’t shift very often anymore. I should, I know, but I just don’t have the urge.”

“Well, maybe your wolf will want to play with mine.” He wouldn’t push it. They all grew differently. Some of the elders never shifted anymore, some spent all their time as wolves.

“Do you think anyone would be bitchy? I am an outcast.”

“Let it go, Trey. For once. For tonight. Let it go. There’s no one here but us.”

Trey searched his face before finally nodding. “In a bit, then. We’ll try it. I want to stay right here for now. You’re getting hard again.”

  “You’re inspiring.”

  “I’m surprised I’m not sore.”

Cory wasn’t. Trey was meant for him. They fit together like a hand in glove, to use a cliché. He grinned. Well, no gloves were required, which he did love. He wanted to be buried in his lover again. He wanted to watch as that little ring of muscle stretched.

“Oh.” Trey’s eyes widened, his lips parting. “Mmm.”

“You’d have to turn around.” They could do it, though. Trey’s knees on one of the little ledges.

“I can do that.” Trey turned, and Cory eased one leg up, spreading the lean legs wide.

“Baby, you make me crazy.” He touched right where he wanted to be, fingering that sweet hole. So heated against his skin, much hotter than the water to his way of thinking. Trey leaned forward, stretching out long and letting him look to his heart’s content.

He touched, pressing his thumb inside, feeling Trey’s body snap closed around him. Holding him. That would soon be his dick in there, and he moaned at the idea.

“Still hot to you, Cory? You still want me?” How could this brave, fierce man be so vulnerable for him?

“I think you’re the most amazing, sexy, sexual thing I’ve ever seen. I want to fuck you, and I just came a few minutes ago. My wolf wants to bite you.”

He ran his other thumb over the spot, the traditional place where he would bite his mate and seal the bond. As he touched it, Trey clenched, going so tight around his thumb that he gasped.

“Damn. Oh, damn.” He shook a little, his cock pressing up toward the sky, the muscles in his belly clenching. “Can’t wait too long, baby. Say that’s okay.”

  It had to be okay.

“Take me. Give me what I need.”

He intended to—now and for the rest of Trey’s life.

Cory pulled his thumb free so he could move into place, his cockhead pushing at that hole which was still open for him. Waiting for him. Trey rolled his hips, which was breathtaking, and he slid inside.

His mate was receptive and slick, ready. He hilted himself, gasped as he stared up into the darkening sky. His body moved without need for thought, homing in on what it wanted, making his balls draw up, so Cory began to move, knowing he needed to give Trey pleasure too.

“Mate.” Trey rocked back against him, body fluid and undulating.

“Yes. Fuck, I feel you. All over.” His whole body was tingling, in fact. His skin felt hot and tight, his cock swelling even harder.

“All over.” Trey gasped and leaned into him, trusting him unquestioningly.

“Yes. Fuck yes. Perfect.” He grabbed those hips, knowing he was leaving marks. He couldn’t give a damn.

“I need you.” Trey bent his head forward and the moon shone down on that spot, lighting it up, and he couldn’t resist. He leaned down and bit hard, teeth sinking in deep.

“Cory!” Trey howled, the sound huge, wild, and wonderful.

He felt everything in his life just click into place. Just like that. Trey was right there with him, in his mind.

They thrust and rubbed, Trey’s hands stroking his as Cory plowed into him. This time he could last, could really give Trey what he needed. And his mate craved him—He held on with his teeth, pinning his writhing lover down.

Trey was just moaning now, low and guttural, the sound going straight to Cory’s balls.

In Trey’s mind, they were one, the lifeline between them visible and throbbing.

Cory threw his head back and howled his triumph, his pleasure, to the spirits. He’d waited for this his entire adult life and his mate was home!

He moved faster, wanting Trey with him this time, wanting them to go over the edge together.

Trey barked and growled, the sounds feral, the humanity lost.

The body he held was still all man, and he reached about to grab that stiff cock and jack it.

The world went wild then, both of them rutting, howling, slamming together with a
fierce passion. The water shook around them, and the earth probably would too, if it could.

Trey clamped down on him, entire body going tight, milking his cock.

“Goddess! Fuck. Trey.” He sawed back and forth.

“Love!” Seed poured over his hand as hot at the water.

Yes. Love. This was the fucking love of his life. Cory came again, seeing stars, and he was pretty sure he wasn’t looking up.

They slumped together, Trey draped over the ledge and supporting him. Cory put one hand down on the bank, just wanting to make sure Trey didn’t get smooshed, but he was just damn happy.

  “Mmm…Tell me this isn’t a dream.”

“No dream.” He squeezed Trey’s dick. “Feel me. Not a dream.”

“I do. I feel you.” Such a dream.

It is. One I’ve waited and waited for. Now he had it, though.

Cory just had to figure out how to hold on.

  10

Trey woke up at the crack of dawn, trying to understand why he was wrapped in someone’s arms. He didn’t have to worry about it long, because his mind was happy to provide a replay of last night.

  In excruciating detail.

He was insane. He knew it, but he was willing to do it again.

  And again.

Although he really did have to do fittings today. He stretched, glad to be in a bed. They’d fallen asleep out by the water.

He ought to get coffee, a shower.

If he shifted and ran to Stephen’s he could be there in a few minutes, but…he wasn’t feeling like being a dick.

“Mmm? Supposed to stay with you.” Cory rolled on top of him.

“You’re dreaming.” He grunted softly, Cory pinning him down.

“Huh? Oh, sorry.” Cory didn’t move though, did he? Well, not off him, anyway.

The bite on the back of his neck throbbed with his heartbeat, and he wiggled side to side, trying to soothe it.

“Shhh.” Cory licked at the skin along the side of his throat. “Just breathe. I’m going to keep telling you.”

“Telling me?” He arched, lifting his chin.

“To breathe with me.” Cory inhaled and exhaled against his skin. “All the elders worked with me on it. Like they knew I was waiting.”

“I don’t understand. I’m the cool one.” He was never out of control. Wild? Sure.

  But in control.

“I think you’re used to a different pace. Time moves… slowly here. You don’t even know how slow.” Cory laughed a little, but the sound tore at him some.

“No, not anymore. I used to. That’s why I got in trouble.” He sighed. “You know it’s me, right? You are the one that belongs.”

Cory went still, then levered up off him. “Yeah. I get it. You want some coffee?”

“No, thank you.” He stood up and slid off the bed. “I need a shower, I think.”

“Sure.” Cory gave him a ghost of a smile, and he was dizzy from the mood swings going on in the room. “Towels are in the cabinet by the bathtub. I’ll get the clothes out of the dryer, huh? I put them in last night.”

He waited for Cory to leave, and he scribbled a note.

Going to Stephen’s. I’m sorry for everything. I didn’t mean to hurt you. T.

Then he slipped outside and shifted, telling himself to run, to go, to fly. He knew the way, even after all these years, and he never got to really open up and run anymore.

He felt strong, if not happy, and he stretched out, jumping the small arroyo he knew was just off Cory’s property. Trey ran as fast as he could, so it was a huge shock when another furry body slammed into his, knocking him off his feet.

Panic flooded him, and he scrambled to his feet, fighting furiously to escape.

Cory’s bark rang in his ears, the tone enough to stop him right in his tracks. He stood there, sides blowing, shaking.

Mate! You scared me! He headbutted his lover, trying to play in a form that had forgotten how.

You ran from me. I had to catch up. Cory rubbed along his side, then nipped at his ear. Those sharp teeth told him that Cory might not sound mad, but he was a little bit peeved at Trey for running off.

  Just a teeny tiny bit.

You can’t run every time we hit something hard. We have history to work through.

History. His nose twitched, and he forced himself to sit still, puff himself up. Remind himself he had his own pack.

Cory blew his lips, a lupine sort of sigh.

Then Cory bit his nose before dancing away a few feet, head down, butt up.

Oh… His tail started wagging, the damn fool thing having a mind of its own. Play. With Cory, who looked so young and hopeful, his tongue lolling out.

He resisted manfully for maybe a heartbeat, and then he pounced.

Cory barked, sliding away under his mouth and paws. Cory’s wolf was so much more coordinated now. So strong, so fine. His. His mate.

They danced in a circle, both of them growling playfully. Then Cory came in again, touching his flank with a cold nose before running.

He gave chase, following that tail like a flag. Cory zigged and zagged, leaping back across the arroyo and heading up along the river to the mesa.

He barked happily, joy flooding him as he followed, his strong mate like a beacon. Cory was like a sunspot, a flare of light even in a bright day. He bounced and leapt, landing on Cory’s butt.

Cory barked his surprise, skidding and losing his back leg purchase for a moment. They tumbled down, but they both popped up like puppies.

Cory stood tall, and he found himself whining, the urge to bow, to offer his neck huge and overwhelming.

A soft sound came to him, then Cory padded over, nosing his snout. Shhh.

  I don’t understand. Help me.

It’s okay, baby. It’s okay. Cory bit gently at his ruff, then let him go. Run with me. All the way up to ceremony rock and back.

He licked and lapped at Cory’s lips, more than willing. Run with you. Yes.

Cory nudged him before taking off, running flat out up the mesa. So fine. They ran together, finding a pattern with him a step behind, loping at Cory’s shoulder. Cory was a fine leader, slowing when the terrain got steep, then bursting into a flat-out race when they reached the flat top of the cliff.

They stopped together, breathing hard, and he bowed to his mate, tongue lolling.

Cory licked his face and his ears, loving on him.

He leaned into the caresses, letting Cory have him. He was on a roller coaster, but that was okay. He liked those well enough, and he loved Cory.

Cory growled softly, the sound melting him, deep in his bones.

  Mate.

Yes. My mate. Love you too. Cory bit his neck gently, then let go, shaking out his coat. We should get back. Laurel is going to want to see you.

Yes. Her dress. Your pants. We can stay together tonight?

We can. Even if we have to stay at Stephen’s, but I bet we get to come back here. Cory gave him a huge lupine grin.

He nodded and dragged his muzzle along Cory’s, then followed him, padding slower this time. They had both run off a lot of energy, especially since they hadn’t eaten. In fact, he thought he heard Cory’s belly rumble. His lover was just so much bigger than he was.

Bacon bacon bacon, he sang, making his mate chuff softly.

Yes please. Lots of it. We’ll put it in the oven then take a shower.

Which was what he’d wanted to do in the first place.

Don’t make me beat you. Cory nipped at him again.

Promises promises. He danced away. His heart began to beat faster, because it was lighter now.

  Always. Anything you need.

  Wait. Was Cory teasing? Huh.

He focused on bacon, on coffee and kisses, and his mate.

  His Mate!

He trotted right into Cory’s kitchen when they got back, then sat, trying to remember how to shift back. Cory did it in no time, like he shifted every day.

Cory knelt next to him, h
ands moving over his fur. “You’re beautiful, mate.”

He panted, telling himself not to panic. He could shift back.

“You can. You got this, baby.” Cory petted until his heart rate slowed some, and he could feel the human nudging at the edge of his mind. Yes. There he was.

He stretched and popped back into his humanity. “Whoa. Wild.”

“There you go.” Cory hauled him up to kiss him. “Morning.”

That kiss rang his bell, making him want to hum and wiggle.

  “Morning. I’m sorry we snarled.”

“So am I.” Cory grinned, then rubbed noses with him. “It’s going to be a minefield sometimes.”

“Yes. Totally. It’s so hard.” He heard what he’d said, then they started laughing, cackling together, and holding each other.

Cory snorted, the sound sending him into another paroxysm of mirth. It always had killed him when Cory made that sound.

He panted, fighting to catch his breath, wiping his eyes. “Damn. Damn, Cory.”

“Yeah. Oh, baby.” Cory pecked one more kiss on his mouth before washing up so he could toss bacon on a sheet pan and put it in the oven. “Shower. Come on. I remodeled that part.”

“Together?” He reached out for Cory’s hand. “Please?”

“What fun would it be alone? That’s why we’re baking the bacon.” That set them off again, Cory dragging him to the bathroom while they laughed like loons.

They got the water started, the steam filling the room. He hummed and slid in, the heat pounding into him. Cory had done a good job on the shower, with tile that looked like river rock and wood. It was like being outside, and it relaxed him even more.

He loved this, and he’d thought his bathroom was the best. Dammit.

“I want to see it,” Cory murmured. “Your house.”

“I want you there. More than anything. I want to take you out dancing in Santa Fe. I want to sit and watch the Balloon Fiesta with you.”

“Oh.” Out of everything, that seemed to draw a deep, happy sigh out of Cory. “Balloons. Is it gorgeous?”

“Beautiful. I want to show you everything.”

Cory held him, washing his back, his hair. “Okay.”

“You mean it?” Even though it was forbidden?

“Yep.” Cory sounded so certain, and the heart in that big chest never went any faster under his ear, so Cory was telling the truth.
