The Fallen Angels Academy Trilogy: Paranormal reverse harem romance

In the midst of the uproar, I should really be panicking but I felt nothing but numbness. That’s what happened when you were being cooped up in here for too long, watching your peers being taken away one by one. You slowly lost your emotions for anything.
Debbie, my current roommate, rolled her eyes and dropped into a crouch next to me. “I really hate it when you smoke that shit.” Her long brunette hair washed down her shoulders. Her brown eyes filled with concern as they darted between the door and the crowd.
I craned my neck to look over the mass of terrified inmates gathered up in the lecture hall where we usually had our lessons. The usually spacious chamber felt so stuffy and small. The wooden door was vaguely secured with a plank of wood which wouldn’t hold the Agents of Darkness back any longer.
The Agents of Darkness were the ex-Fallen Angels who were abducted and brainwashed by Andrajvah, the king of the Underworld, to join his side. Their main purpose was to recruit more fallen angels to join Andrajvah until he would have enough hearts of gold to battle against the Divine Principal.
Next to it, the ever so gorgeous and handsome Professor Mafento sat at his usual desk, but without his usual calm and grim look. Instead, a concerned expression cast on his sharp angular face that was as dark as the cloak he clad. It had to be the first time he looked so perturbed by the attack. That didn’t mean he’d lost any of his attractiveness. I’d still ride him like a bull if I could.
“You think that door’s gonna hold any longer?” I scoffed. “The Agents of Darkness will soon pour in and turn all of us into Andrajvah’s mindless slaves. So let me enjoy my last incense in peace. On the flip side, at least, we’re all in this together, right?”
Debbie sucked in a deep breath. She looked so fed up but luckily for her she wouldn’t have to suck it up any longer. My first roommate was on her last straw in fifteen days. The second one was slightly better, she called it quit at the end of four weeks.
Lamora was a special case since she got out of it in less than three days so I couldn’t tell. Now, Debbie. From the disapproved look on her face, I could tell even if we survived this wave of Agents of Darkness, she wouldn’t want to breathe the same air with me any longer. I took pride in my inability to make people stay. At least, I lived up to my status as the Angel of Death. Always a messenger, never a friend.
When a sad look cast on Debbie’s face, I nudged her on the arm. “Hey, you okay?”
Debbie shook her head. “How can you be okay when you’re stuck here waiting to die while your ex’s gone to save his new girlfriend?”
I nodded and took another pull at my incense. “I sympathize with you.”
A sigh escaped from Debbie’s chest. “He never really cared about me. Not the way he cares about Lamora. I guess I was just there to fill the void in his heart until he found a match. We never even went past first base. Oh god, that’s so pathetic.” Debbie buried her face in her palms.
My eyes widened. “Wait, what? You’re saying that you guys never fucked?”
She shook her head and let out a muffled, “No.”
A sigh escaped from my chest. “Well, that makes two of us.”
Debbie looked at me wide-eyed. “You? A virgin? No fucking way. You look like you suck dicks more than those goddamn incense.”
With a scoff, I blew a puff of smoke in Debbie’s face. She infuriatedly waved her hand and spluttered. “That’s what people think of me. I like giving people the wrong impression. It always surprises them.” Debbie let out a sigh and sank to sit next to me with her head propped against the wall, watching the door getting assaulted by the Agents of Darkness, wondering how long would it hold.
Every second felt so long and real. You could feel the fear vibrating in the air, emanating from every soul in the room. Friends huddled together, comforting each other. I should be really scared right now, but instead, I was savoring the moment. Taking the last stare at the gorgeous Mafento for as long as I could. The dirty thoughts whirled in my head, making my pussy squirm with need.
Oh god, how nice would it be if he just threw me on the desk and fuck me in front of everybody? Part of me was so tempted to do it, especially when I was going to take my chance and escape from Fallen Angels this time.
Even Debbie didn’t know it but when the Agents of Darkness would spill into the classroom and start claiming souls, I would be slipping out like a shadow, leaving the Fallen Angels for good. A sudden nostalgia fell over me when I realized I had stayed here long enough to witness the fall of Fallen Angels and the Divine Principal. Part of me was ashamed that my plan had never manifested until right now…
A loud crack boomed across the chamber, turning air into solid. A shrill silence fell over the crowd as all heads turned in the direction of the punctured door. You could hear pins drop. The tiny hairs on the nape of my neck bristled as a gust of chilled wind blustered into the stuffy room followed by eerie footsteps.
My heart thundered in my chest as a long shadow stretched on the ground. The first Agent of Darkness stepped into the room and swept his crimson blind gaze over the chamber. A terrified gasp ripped from Debbie’s lips as she sank behind me and clutched tightly onto my arms, bruising me.
I forgot how to breathe when the face of the Agent of Darkness came to light, shadows highlighting his sharp features. My heart almost stopped when I recognized the face. “Oh my god, that’s Ryphen. The Heart of Gold who got abducted a couple of days ago.”
A pained expression flitted across Mafento’s face as he got into a fighting position. “Ryphen, repent now. You’re under the charms of Andrajvah. You know you don’t want to do this.” It was so surreal the timid and kind boy sitting two benches behind me let out a maniacal laugh that didn’t feel right. A smirk quirked the corner of his lips.
“You think your mere magic can stop me–” A growl ripped from Ryphen’s chest when a clear ray ricocheted through the air and hit him on the right shoulder. He staggered back and shot a fiery glare at Mafento.
My heart skipped a beat at the intimidating look on Mafento’s face, looking so hot and sexy. The tension in his muscles made the thick veins on his neck bulge and stretch his skin. It made me wonder if the hardness on his face was reflected on his cock as well. Against my better judgment, I chewed my lip raw and glanced down.
Heat roared through me when I saw the massive bulge pressed up against the crotch of his pants. “Holy shit…” I squeezed my legs together, feeling like I was going to melt from the heat. It didn’t help when Debbie was clutching tightly onto me, her body heat emanating against my skin. I wriggled her off and tried to catch my breath. “I need to breathe, Debbie.”
Debbie whimpered, “Sorry.”
Mafento and Ryphen were in a glaring competition when three more Agents of Darkness poured into the room, taking Ryphen’s sides. “Luck doesn’t seem to be on your side this time, Mafento. If I were you, I would step aside and let my men do our jobs.”
For the first time, I saw fear in Mafento’s eyes and couldn’t fathom how much it hurt me. Clenched fists and gritted teeth, I was fighting my urges to jump out to Mafento’s rescue. But I kept telling myself, No, Tessa, you can’t do that. You have to stick to the escape plan. You’ve been waiting your whole life for this day. You can’t just risk it all.
Mafento said nothing. His jaw clenched savagely, his face contorted with anger. Ryphen traded looks with his companions before they nodded meaningfully and advanced towards the crowd.
In a swift movement of an arm, Mafento whipped out his sword. The sword of an archangel. After all, Mafento was a veteran archangel. When an archangel would retire, they would be relieved from their usual duties to become teachers to the new angels. He lifted the sword across the chest of the Agent of Darkness, stopping him on the track.
Mafento’s brooding deep-set eyes spat fire when he said, “No one is going to touch my students.” My stomach fluttered at the charismatic tone of his deep masculine voice. The professor who couldn’t
give a fuck about students talking in his class, who didn’t seem to be interested in his student’s learning suddenly became so possessive and protective, it felt so freaking hot.
Guilt pricked at my conscience for thinking about leaving. Maybe I should stay longer, if I survived, to get to know Mafento better. Who knew what adventures would this naughty idea lead me to?
A gasp tore from my lips when I saw the familiar green neon glow on Ryphen’s sword that he drew from his side. “I don’t think you’re in a position for negotiation.” My heart stopped beating when Ryphen swung his sword at Mafento, who blocked his attack with his own. Their blades clanked loudly, reverberating through the tensed room.
The other Agents of Darkness spilled into the crowd and started grabbing their first victims. Shrieks rang high into the air as the first Agent clutched onto one of the girls in the front row and started kissing her roughly, branding her with his spit. The chamber fell into a state of chaos. This was my chance.
“Oh my god, I’m going to die.” Debbie sobbed behind me while tugging at the hem of my skirt. Annoyed, I wriggled her off. As soon as she unhooked from me, Debbie sank and got lost in the sea of bodies. My heart pounded so loudly it drowned out all the cries. I watched unblinkingly at the fight unfolding in front of the class.
Mafento might be in the autumn of his life, but he didn’t look a century older than two hundred years old with his agility. I should be running, the adrenaline burning through my veins. The door where the Agents of Darkness had burst in was wide open in welcome. But I couldn’t tear my eyes off from the oh-so-fucking hot scene materializing in front of me.
Mafento’s bulging biceps stretched the fabric of his shirt as he swung his sword mercilessly against his relentless opponent. Sweat drenched his face, making the stray lock of black hair stick on the side of his neck. His Adam apple was bobbing in his throat. His forehead and neck were glistening.
A couple of inmates slipped through the door and more were heading towards the exit when the Agents of Darkness caught them. They surveyed the crowd like hawks. I muttered a cuss. There was no way I could get out, unless…I groped the side of my thigh to feel the dagger in my pocket. A haze of fear bounced around me as my eyes darted between my alpha male professor and the door to my freedom.
How would Mafento think of me if I used black magic and escape from this goddamn prison I was dying to get out? Would he really care? I tasted blood on my tongue when I realized I bit my lip too hard. Did anyone actually care about me after all?
“Alright, fuck it.” I jumped and slid across the bench when I whipped out my dagger. Everything became slow-motion. I could feel every thumping of my heart as I muttered the cuss, turning the silver blade into a bright neon matching with the color on Ryphen’s blade. In the brief second, the two men in the midst of battle turned their heads in my direction.
My stomach lurched when Mafento’s eyes were interlocked with mine for a brief second. His brows furrowed and a look of shock and disappointment flashed in his eyes. There had never been a time that I wanted to scream ‘Fuck my life’ more than anything. Mafento had never even fucking had eye-contact with me until this moment when I was about to do something so wicked.
The few seconds when our eyes interlocked stretched into eternity. I could feel the mix of hatred and disgust for me rising in him in a brief moment. I hated myself more for betraying him. A sudden urge for him to punish me brewed within me, making the space between my legs tight and tingling. Part of me wanted to stay, to get caught. But the stakes were too high.
This was my chance of finally escaping from the confines of the Fallen Angels Academy. I had to do what I had to do. My nerves rose within me when Mafento’s brooding eyes tore from me and I hopped off the edge of the bench and was met with the Agent of Darkness’ blind gaze.
“Where do you think you’re going, little girl?” growled the Agent of Darkness as he reached his scrawny arms out to grab hold of me. In a quick movement, I pounced at him, feeling the hardness of his skinny build as I swung around, wrapping my arm around his neck. Even I was impressed by my own agility and how smoothly my plan had turned out.
“Argh!” With the remaining strength in me, I raised my arm, feeling my fingers trembling around the shaft of my dagger as I stabbed it hard in the Agent of Darkness’ throat. My face was twisted with disgust. I gritted my teeth and pursed my lips as the glowing dagger punctured his throbbing Adam apple.
I heard muffled gasps from the crowd and felt blood spit on my face. My whole body was shaking with fear and disgust as I let go of the body that fell face down with a thud on the ground before turning into ash that danced away with the wind.
Sweat dripped down the sides of my face. I didn’t realize that Mafento and Ryphen were having a break and were watching the whole thing unfold from where they were standing. In the chaos of the moment, a couple of inmates took the chance and slipped out before the other Agent of Darkness could stop them. I couldn’t read Mafento’s expression but the apparent disapproval was etched on Ryphen’s face. His nostrils flared as his crimson eyes pierced straight into mine.
“Who the fuck are you?” growled Ryphen.
I couldn’t help it when the smirk quirked the corner of my lips. I wiped my dagger on my black leather skirt and said, “Tessa, the Angel of Death. I guess I live up to my name.” I blew the nails on my free hand.
Ryphen gnashed his teeth as his eyes turned into brighter red at the instance. A low growl rumbled from his chest as Ryphen was about to pounce on me. My stomach lurched. I sprang into my fighting position when Mafento grabbed him from the back and pulled him away from me. Ryphen snarled and turned around to resume their battle.
My bones melted inside by the way Mafento had rescued me from Ryphen. Guilt pricked my conscience for forsaking him at the time of his needs. But I had to do what I had to do…
I didn’t realize I was clenching my fists as my gaze darted between the door and Mafento. My mind was running wild I couldn’t think straight. I couldn’t even tear away from the fighting scene where Mafento was looking so fucking hot and masculine. I squeezed my legs together as my pussy wept harder. If I didn’t get the fuck out of the chamber right now, it would smell like my pussy soon.
“Sorry,” I muttered and tore my gaze from Mafento. I couldn’t even bear to look Mafento in the eyes. I felt a sick feeling burning in the pit of my stomach as I bolted through the door. I wrestled to purge out the mental images of the other inmates being turned one by one into Agents of Darkness. I tried not to think about the fall of Mafento.
“Nah, he’s a veteran archangel, he’ll be okay.” I tried to convince myself as I broke into a run from the hallway. The usually quiet campus had an eerie aura to it. As if the campus was alive and knew that the end was near. “Oh god, Tessa, just fucking stop thinking about the fall of Fallen Angels already and instead rejoice my newfound freedom.”
I tried to focus my mind on the long due escape plan that had been sitting in the back of my mind since fifty years ago. All I had to do now was to get to the back entrance of the campus and filter through the forest.
It almost felt as if I was dreaming. I wouldn’t be surprised I was dreaming about my escape if I did sleep. I’d never slept since I was an angel. I’d been using black magic to restore my energy. I was surprised no one caught me yet–
Just as I turned around the corner, I felt an arm wrap around my neck, knocking the breath out of me. My stomach lurched when my eyes were interlocked with another pair of crimson eyes. Oh god, what were the archangels doing? Why were there so many fucking Agents of Darkness lurking on the campus?
Panic engulfed me when the Agent of Darkness tightened his clutch on me, suffocating me. I pinched my eyes closed when he leaned closer, the stench of his warm breath seared my lungs as if his clutch on my neck wasn’t enough to choke me. “Eugh,” I snarled when he started kissing me on the cheeks, wetting my face with his spit. I felt bile rising in my throat as I trie
d to grope for my dagger.
“Hmm, what is this pretty little brat doing here?” groaned the Agent of Darkness as he tried to slip his hand under the hem of my skirt. His fingers skimmed luxuriously up and down my thighs, making the tiny hairs on my arms stand on ends.
“Definitely not wasting my time with you.” I snarled and kneed him in the crotch. The Agent of Darkness let out a muffled groan. I took the chance to whip out my dagger. In the midst of muttering the curse, the Agent of Darkness grabbed hold of my wrist, twisting my arm tightly until I let out a cry and the dagger slipped out of my grip and clattered on the ground. The blade that was turning neon green turned back into silver.
I bent over to pick up when he slammed my back against the wall and grabbed me by the jaw. Pain spread down my spine. This was it. I thought this was the end of me. Maybe I should stay back and help Mafento. Maybe this was my karma.
