  Regan grinned, happier than she’d ever been before. “Since you asked so nicely…”

  Chapter Twelve

  Two months later

  Regan bounced on the balls of her feet. She stretched her neck, searching the crowd of passengers making their way toward baggage claim.

  She needn’t have bothered. Her man stood half a head taller than the average person and damn, he looked good walking toward her.

  His gray T-shirt moved with him, a second-skin that barely contained the well-honed muscles underneath. His jeans hugged his powerful thighs and she couldn’t stop herself from dropping her gaze to his package. She wasn’t the only woman checking him out, but she wasn’t jealous. She knew he was hers. That she was the only woman who got that.

  Unable to wait a minute longer, Regan broke into a run. A smile lit up his face when he saw her. He opened his arms and she leapt, laughing as she slung her arms and legs around him.

  Ketcher chuckled, his hands cupping her backside. He gave her a light squeeze. “Hey, baby. Did you miss me?”

  Regan hummed a response and buried her nose in his neck. She breathed him in. She loved his spicy male scent.

  After she’d been released from the hospital and Ketcher had been stitched up—again, much to her dismay—they had spent a week at the cottage, relaxing and making love, before he had to return to Florida.

  She rubbed her cheek against the short, rough hair on his jaw, loving the feel of him.

  “Damn it, Regan.” He squeezed her butt cheeks hard. “People are staring. Stop rubbing on me or I’m going to give them something to see. I’ll drag you to a dark corner, strip those sexy-ass jeans from your hips and fuck the shit out of you. My dick is already as hard as concrete just from the sight of you.”

  Bursting with happiness to have him there, Regan hugged him tight. When she loosened her grip, Ketcher did the same. He growled as she slid down the front of his body, giving her a little thrill. She couldn’t wait to get him home so she could drag that sound from him again and again.

  Her feet hit the ground. “Did you wrap up all of your loose ends?”

  “I did.” Ketcher grabbed her hand and together they walked toward baggage claim. “Grey wasn’t happy I decided to leave, but I told him I’d be available on a case-by-case basis. At least until I decide what I want to do next.”

  “Brandon said he had work for you, if you were interested.”

  “He mentioned that to me as well, but I’m not in a hurry. I’d like to get us settled first. What do you think about going house hunting this weekend?”

  While neither of them were in a rush to get married, they did want to live together.

  “I’d love it.”

  They stopped at the edge of the crowd gathered around the baggage return. Ketcher slid an arm around her and pulled her against his side. “I would ask how your shoulder is doing, but it seemed fine as you were molesting me back there.”

  “I’ve never been better.” She tipped her head to rest against his chest. “You’re with me now.”

  Ketcher glanced down at her with those wicked eyes and she saw her heart reflected there.

  “Baby, I’m with you forever.”

   
