He glared at her then smiled. “A first for both of us.”

  ****

Ten minutes later, Adam pulled into the parking lot of the motel. He wanted to be alone with his wife. No, he needed it. Thank goodness they had vacancies. Nicki couldn’t seem to keep her hands off him. She’d caressed his neck, chest, and thighs as he drove.

Not that he minded. His cock was hard, and he wanted to bury himself in her. He got out of the car, helped her out, and they walked into the registration office hand in hand.

“Newlyweds?” the buxom woman behind the desk asked.

“Not really,” Adam said as Nicki laid her head on his shoulder while her free hand caressed his ass.

“Oh.” The woman’s face fell. “Then you won’t be wanting the honeymoon suite.”

“Yes, we would. Perfect.” It would be. A nice big bed to have fun in.

“Great. I’ll just need a credit card.”

  “Sweetheart, I need my hand.”

Nicki’s fingers loosened only to latch on to his waist. Adam didn’t remember Nicki being this touchy-feely except when they were first married. But he liked it and wanted more. He craved more of her caresses and kisses.

Adam pulled out his wallet and found his credit card. The transaction was completed quickly, and they were on their way to their room, luggage in tow.

Once inside, he dropped their bags, shut the door and threw the lock. Then he grabbed Nicki by the waist and spun her around until her back hit the door. “Witch,” he muttered before capturing her mouth with his.

God, she tasted good. Adam’s hands slipped down her arms to her waist as their lips parted. “You taste like sunshine.”

“I want to taste.” Her fingers unbuttoned his shirt, her lips trailing down his neck to his chest. Her lips closed over his nipple. Pleasure swept from his chest to his dick.

“Nicki!” He threw back his head. Her tongue circled around his nub, causing his heart to pound.

  “Salty but manly,” she whispered.

“Two can play at that game.” He hauled her into his arms as it was his turn to tease her.

“I hope so.” She giggled as he tossed her on the bed.

“I know so.” Adam quickly stripped his clothes off. His cock was hard and wanting as he knelt onto the mattress. “Someone is over-dressed.”

He slipped off her shoes and tossed them to the floor. Then came her socks, his fingers dancing up her leg until he found the waistband of her pants. Within seconds, he’d stripped off her pants, shirt, bra, and underwear. Nicki squirmed on the bed when he was done.

Taking her hands in his, he raised her arms over her head. “Someone has been a bad girl.”

“Very bad.” She wiggled beneath him. “What are you going to do about it?”

“Let’s see.” He glanced to his play bag. “Don’t move.” He slid off the mattress and went to the luggage. His hand shook with desire as he unzipped his toy bag. It only took him seconds to find what he wanted.

Nicki was on her side, leaning on one elbow like some erotic painting. Anticipation filled his blood. His goddess was waiting for him, and he wasn’t going to disappoint her.

“I told you not to move.” He dropped several toys, a pair of safety scissors, and condoms on the nightstand. He kept the rope in his hands.

The raw silk rope was soft against his skin, but it was also very strong. He knelt on the mattress, and Nicki rolled onto her back. Thank goodness, the bed was on an old-fashioned frame complete with a spindled headboard. He pulled on the wood and grinned. Good, heavy wood.

“You’ve been a bad girl,” he whispered.

“You like bad girls.” Nicki let out a small giggle. A tell-tale flush of excitement made her skin rosy. Satisfaction hit Adam low in the gut at making his wife all hot and bothered.

“Yes, I do.” He slid the rope through his fingers, halving it, and then he twisted the rope. Within minutes, he had the rope around her wrist and across her palm. “Not too tight.”

“No, it’s perfect.” Nicki wiggled on the bed as he did the same with her other hand before raising them above her head and tying them off to the headboard.

  “Safeword?” he asked.

  “Firebrand.”

Adam nodded, straddling Nicki’s lean stomach. Her eyes were bright with excitement, her breathing quick. He leaned forward and began kissing his way down her face. “You are so beautiful,” he whispered between kisses.

Her skin was so soft against his rough lips. She arched her neck as his lips traced her pulse then he slid lower.

His lips closed over her right nipple. She cried out, and her back arched. He laved the torrid peak before shifting to her left one. When both were dusky rose and hard, he reached over to the nightstand.

“It’s been a while,” she said when he held up the nipple clamps.

“I’m using the adjustable ones.” He slipped the first one on and slid the small ring up, making the opening tighter and tighter. He only stopped when Nicki’s breathing increased. Then he did the same with her other nipple.

Nicki’s skin was suitably flushed, and he hid a grin. She was aroused and totally focused on him and the pleasure he could give her.

He nudged her legs apart and knelt between them. Her hips shifted as he gazed down at her dewy sex. Adam placed his fingers on either side of her pussy and parted her lips. Without hesitation, he lowered his head.

“Adam.” The headboard shook as Nicki tugged at her bonds. He grinned, knowing how to drive her wild.

He licked from her the bottom of her pussy to the top, playing close attention to her clit. The bud came alive, hardening and pulsing under his tongue.

  “Oh God,” she cried out.

Adam smiled. He put his hands on her hips to stop her thrashing as he loved her with his lips and tongue. His tongued slipped into her channel, mimicking what his dick wanted to do, and then he sucked that sweet clit between his lips. Warm honey cream flowed from her opening, and he lapped it up, loving how she tasted.

His heart grew warm, knowing he was doing this to her, making her squirm and beg… Oh, yes, she was begging for him to let her come.

He glanced up. Her eyes were closed, her stomach tense. Yes, she was close. Very close. He toyed with her clit for a few more seconds before plunging two fingers into her wet core.

  “Oh, fuck. Yes.”

This time, he couldn’t stop a chuckle. She was always very vocal during sex, and he loved every second of it. “Feel good, sweetheart?”

“Fantastic.” She pushed her hips toward his fingers.

“More?” He really didn’t have to ask, but he wanted to hear her response.

  “I want your cock.”

“Soon.” His dick pulsed with its own needs and desires. First, he wanted her pleasure. He wanted her to come.

“Please, Adam.” He added a third finger, and this time, she whimpered in pleasure.

The tensing of her legs, the grip of her pussy muscles on his fingers, and her labored breathing told him she wasn’t going to last much longer. Curving his middle finger, he found that special bundle of nerves and lowered his head to her clit.

As he manipulated her G-spot, he used his tongue to flick her clit, twisting his fingers and tongue faster, and faster.

“Yes, yes, yes,” she kept repeating.

Her body started to go ridged. Adam pressed hard against her G-spot and lightly bit her clit.

A strangle cry escaped from her lips as her orgasm took over. The sound was music to his ears. He laved her clit until her pussy stopped clenching at his fingers. He finally raised his head. Satisfaction flowed through his veins, not only in making his wife come, but because he hadn’t lost his touch with her.

Her body quivered from her climax, her eyes clouded with pleasure, her lips parted, and her breathing erratic. He pulled his fingers from her pussy and reached for a condom.

Once he had his dick sheathed, he poised himself at her entrance. He shifted his hips, allowing the head of
his cock to penetrate her pussy. So warm, so welcoming.

Her eyes opened and their gazes clashed.

“This is for you. Only for you.” He thrust forward and buried himself within her welcoming depths.

Her body welcomed him with open arms as he thrust in and out of her pussy. Nicki squirmed beneath him.

“That’s it. Give it to me.”

Adam took a deep breath, then his lips found hers as he continued to make love to his wife. Her body quivered, her muscles tightened as another climax overtook her. Yet he continued to pump in and out of her.

He’d missed this. He missed the closeness of his wife. Of her passion, of her sexual submission. A tingled started up his spine. He ground his teeth. He wanted to last longer, but it had been too long.

Nicki mumbled something and he released her lips.

  “More,” she whispered.

Her whisper inflamed him, and he plunged into her pussy, taking them both higher until there was no place to go. She screamed as another orgasm overtook her, and with one last, hard thrust, he joined her.

His body quivered as he shifted his weight not to crush her. He was finally home.

  ****

Nicki woke the next morning with Adam draped over her back, one hand possessively covering one breast. His warmth radiated into her skin. She let out a contented sigh and melted into his embrace.

Bliss ran through her veins at being in her husband’s arms. To taste his passion was like an aphrodisiac. She wished they could be like this all the time.

“Good morning,” he whispered, his lips pressing against the skin of her neck.

“Morning.” She turned and kissed him.

“What would you like to do today?”

Her first response was to say stay in bed, but they needed more than just a physical relationship if they were going to get their marriage back on track. Her body rebelled at the thought of climbing out of the cozy bed away from the sensual heat of her husband.

“I think we should get dressed and explore, considering we don’t have a clue to where we are.” She rolled out of his arms and sat up. A slight twinge in her shoulder reminded her of Adam tying her up last night. Her blood heated.

“Good idea. I barely paid attention to the road signs yesterday.” He stood up.

Her gaze wandered over his masculine form, stopping on his half-erect cock. She licked her lips. Did he still taste good and salty?

“Keep that up, and we won’t get out of this hotel room to see where we are.” He winked at her.

Nicki picked up the pillow and threw it at him.

He caught it with a grin, tossing it onto the bed before strolling into the bathroom. “I’m heading for the shower.”

She didn’t even pause to think. Nicki ran across the room and into the bathroom. So what if they were a little late in exploring the hotel and area?

  ****

Two hours later, they realized the hotel was much more than a place to sleep. It was a resort of some sort. It had a golf course, clubhouse, gardens, and miles of walking trails.

They were strolling through the gardens when Adam stopped. “I should call Pete and check on things.”

“Don’t.” Nicki put her hand on his, stopping him from pulling his phone out of his pants. “You told Pete yesterday we were going to be gone until later tonight or tomorrow since the new cameras wouldn’t arrive until later today. If there’s a problem, he’d call you.”

  “True, but…”

“No buts.” She touched his mouth with her finger, and his eyebrows went up. “This is our time. Forget about work for a while.”

“Do you know how difficult that is for me?”

“Yes. But do this for us. For me.” She didn’t want to ask him to do it. She’d hoped he would do it on his own.

He nodded, and they continued to walk the trail in silence. She was relieved she’d convinced him not to call Pete.

Nicki couldn’t stand the silence between them. “What happened to us, Adam?”

He stopped and stared down at her. “What do you mean?”

  “What happened to our marriage?”

His fingers tightened around hers. “You tell me.”

Nicki sighed and glanced around. “Let’s go sit.”

She guided him over to the wooden bench next to the trail. She wanted them to talk, to get down to the nitty gritty. He didn’t seem receptive to it, but then, gauging Adam’s mood was difficult even under the best of circumstances.

Once they sat down, she faced him. “I want us to figure out why we stopped talking.”

“We didn’t need to talk. Our bodies did that for us.” He raised her hand to his lips with a hopeful look on his face.

She shivered when his tongue caressed her knuckles. “In the beginning, I would agree.” Back then, a single glance from Adam would send her up in flames. And when they were first married, she did figure him out a bit. “But later in our marriage, we stopped talking. Even our bodies stopped. What happened? What made you turn cold?”

  “What?” He frowned.

“You became cold and distant from me.” With a pounding heart, she plunged on. “You resented my job as a scream queen.”

  “I didn’t.”

“Please. You were always trying to convince me to give it up.”

Adam grimaced. “Because you’re capable of so much more as an actress.” His fingers tightened around hers. “I saw the natural, raw talent in you that most actresses would kill for. I wanted to see you do something with it. Being a scream queen doesn’t show off your abilities.”

“But I enjoyed it.” Part of her was surprised at his insight, and she had to wonder why he’d never expressed his opinion in this way. They still had a lot to talk about regarding whatever was going on in the car, but she wanted to hear his opinion.

He shook his head. “Only because you don’t have to think about it. How many times on my film have I made you think about your part? Forced you to dig deeper into yourself.”

“Almost every day.” She wouldn’t lie to him. Each day’s filming had become a challenge to her, a goal to strive for excellence. A way to prove herself worthy of being in Adam’s movie.

“I don’t think you realize what an incredible actress you are.”

“I’m nothing special.” Her heart warmed at his praise. Acting for her was an easy way to pay the bills until she could get a break in costume design. That was her heart’s desire.

“Yes, you are.” He cupped her chin, tilting her face up to his. “I knew how special you were the first time I met you at my party.”

Her eyes widened. He couldn’t have thought that. She’d made such a fool of herself that night. “I was scared out of my wits at your party.”

  “Scared? Of me?”

“Not of you, but of what you made me feel.” She shook free of his hold then reached up and traced his scar with the pad of her finger. “The famous Adam Bainbridge was talking to me, a nobody actress.”

He laughed. “All I could think was how beautiful you looked. You were perfect for my next movie, but you ran away.”

“I’m a nobody. You’re the big, hot director. There was no way you could have known what kind of talent I had that night.” Thinking back, Nicki remembered the way Adam’s gaze had followed her around the room as she’d mingled.

“You’re wrong.” He ran a finger down her nose. “Your strength shines from you every second of every day.”

“I’m just another pretty face.” She ignored his words. She wasn’t strong. If she were, she wouldn’t have broken down after their baby died. “Which is why I never really cared about going on to bigger and better roles. There’s always someone prettier to replace me.”

His fingers skimmed her neck, over her shoulder and down her arm. “You’re not a nobody.” He brushed his lips against hers.

“If I stopped making films tomorrow, no one would notice.”

  “I would.”

“So, you would notice.” Her blood ti
ngled at his smoldering gaze.

“More than just me. All your fans would, too.” He nibbled at the edge of her mouth. “I saw the fans at the convention. They waited hours in line for autographs. All the panels you spoke on were filled to the brim so they could get a glimpse of you. Don’t underestimate them.”

“Those same fans set you on edge.” She remembered his possessiveness at the parties they’d attended together and then at the convention. How he would glare at any man who dared to look her way. He never understood she only had eyes for him. No other man could hold her attention or love but him.

“It’s the way men acted around you that sent me off the deep end.”

“It’s because of the movies I make. That’s how people act around stars. If I weren’t an actress, they wouldn’t look at me twice.”

“It’s more than that. Men are constantly undressing you with their eyes. Wanting you with every breath they take. They look at you like you’re a rare, imported cigar, and they can’t wait to get you home and unwrap you.”

Nicki started laughing. She couldn’t help it. An imported cigar. She never noticed anyone looking at her like that except maybe for Adam.

“It’s not funny,” he ground out.

“I’ve honestly never noticed the way men look at me.”

“What about the kid at the convention? You’ve had to observe the way men’s eyes follow you.”

  “Only yours.”

  “What about Chris?”

“Chris is a friend, nothing more and nothing less.”

  “He makes you smile.”

“Of course he does. He’s my friend. Friends make you smile.” Nicki brushed a lock of Adam’s hair back off his forehead. “But Chris doesn’t incite my passion like you do. You’re the only man who can make me feel like ice cream dissolving under a hot sun.”

“You share things with Chris.” His tone was soft, but his features were tight.

Nicki took a deep breath. “That’s what friendship is about—sharing.”

“That’s how our marriage should have been.”

His comment shocked her, that he recognized the failing in their marriage. But he was talking to her. A good sign. “I wanted to share with you. I tried to share with you, but you were always too busy or didn’t want to talk.”
