Black Light: Roulette Rematch (Black Light Series Book 20)

“Well, duh. Who doesn’t?”
He bit his tongue to answer his ex-wife. Well, technically she liked it, she just didn’t eat it as it was too fattening or some bullshit. How refreshing it was to watch his submissive for the night enjoying the simple joy of a few bites of chocolate.
As he opened his mouth to ask a question, The Brat had the audacity to pop a square of chocolate onto his tongue. It was a tiny, but intimate, gesture he found endearing.
After several bites, she handed the remaining snack back to him before burrowing deeper into his arms. A small shiver confirmed she had a chill and he found himself wishing he’d thought to pick up a Black Light robe for her to put on between scenes.
On second thought, he rather enjoyed the quiet intimacy of their embrace. As they had met a mere hour before, he worried things would get awkward, but they spent a few silent minutes enjoying watching two couples horsing around at the opposite end of the pool.
“I know we each signed up with our club names, and it’s totally optional if you don’t want to share, but my name is George. My friends call me Geo. I’d love to know your first name so I can call you something other than Brat.”
She looked up into his eyes and mischievously answered, “Ironically, my name is Hot Pants.”
George let out a short bark of a laugh. “You really are cheeky, you know that? Most Doms don’t put up with such total insubordination. I can see I’ve been much too easy on you.”
“Yeah, I really am lucky. I don’t know how well I’d get along with one of the more high protocol dominants.”
Geo liked hearing she thought landing him was lucky but was disappointed she still didn’t share her name. There were many things he could demand from his sub for the night, her real name wasn’t one of them.
“I’ll tell you my name, but you have to promise not to make the joke everyone makes when they hear it.”
“I can’t picture making fun of you.”
“Harley.”
“As in Davidson?” The question flew out without thinking.
Her exasperated glare confirmed he’d hit the nail on the head.
He tried to recover. “I’m certainly not making fun of you. I love that name. It’s unique and it sort of just fits you.”
“Yeah, it’s not so bad now, but it was a bitch in high school.”
“I bet. Is that where you met Madison? It looks like you guys are friends.”
“How did you…” She paused. “Oh yeah, you must have met her during the renovation.” A huge blush colored her cheeks. A part of him still bristled at her earlier criticism, but he was a big boy. He could take it.
“Actually, she got hired right at the very end as we were wrapping things up, so I didn’t get to know her well. But she runs a tight ship around here. You mentioned arranging events so I just assumed you guys might have worked together or maybe gone to school together?”
“Both, actually. We worked together on a bunch of high-profile sporting events until I broke off to focus only on VIP and celebrity wedding planning. I ended up getting enough clients that I was able to start my own business two years ago.”
“Weddings? In Hollywood? No wonder your business is good.”
“Right? Sadly, many of my customers are repeat clients these days. But I’m hopeful for Madison. It seems like she found one of the good ones.”
For the first time that evening, Geo heard a cynicism in her voice talking about marriage. “Let me guess. You’ve been burned by a bad one yourself?”
“Haven’t we all at some point? And anyway, I just call it a job hazard. After watching dozens of couples that I could have sworn loved each other crash and burn later, I might have become a bit jaded on the whole marriage thing.”
He internalized her words, part of him thinking he should steer their conversation back to lighter topics, but another part wanting to dig deeper into what made Harley tick.
He went for broke. “As a recent divorcee myself, I don’t deny being a bit jaded myself.”
“Well shit,” she said, burying her head into his chest to avoid looking at him any longer. It made it harder to hear her next words. “That’s twice tonight I’ve stuck my foot in my mouth. I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to…”
He raised his fingers to her lips, shushing her before using the same fingers to lift her face toward him. “Don’t sweat it. I’m a big boy and anyway, it takes a lot for me to get butt hurt.”
Harley looked conflicted, so he gave her time to decide what she wanted to say. “Well, that really sucks.”
“What? That it takes a lot to get me upset?” He felt a small smile tugging at his lips. “You planning on trying to really piss me off?”
“No. It’s just…” She paused before surprising him with her answer. “It just means your ex must have done some really shitty things to make you want to call it quits.”
Geo was definitely getting uncomfortable talking about all this heavy crap. Ironically, it wasn’t because she made it feel awkward, but more because they were in the middle of roulette. In fact, he glanced around the club for the first time in several minutes and saw one of the DMs across the pool waving at him and then tapping his watch as if to say ‘get going.’
“We need to get back to roulette. You don’t need to hear…”
“No, I do, actually,” she insisted.
He hesitated for a moment before telling her the truth. “There was a lot I overlooked over the years, but when she started banging our insurance agent that was the final straw.”
“I’m sorry… Sir.”
“Don’t be. I’m ten times happier now than I have been in years, and if I’m honest, I think she is too. We have two kids, but they’re old enough to be happier too.”
“So, you really are a Daddy?” she teased.
“Stop. We are not going there. Now, I think it’s time for us to head back to see Madison and give the wheel another spin, don’t you? I’d hate to get us disqualified for talking too long.”
He stood, slowly dropping her feet to the ground to set her upright before grabbing his toy bag from the floor. Linking their hands together, he moved them in the direction of the theater.
As they passed several scenes on the club’s platforms, Harley squeezed his hand, slowing them down so she could get a peek at a needle play scene and then a pretty intense wax play scene.
Only when they got beyond the velvet curtain did the music get soft enough for them to talk again.
Harley grabbed his arm, almost bouncing on her toes as she said, “This is so exciting. I can’t wait to see what we roll next.”
“Me either, but fair warning, this scene I expect to hear a few more Sirs and a bit less sass, got it?” he instructed.
She just grinned. “We’ll see… Sir.”
Chapter 6
Harley
“There you are! I was starting to get worried about you.” Madison called out to them before they even started up the first step to join her on the stage. “Is everything okay?”
While Harley appreciated her friend looking out for her, she wasn’t prepared to provide a blow by blow of her evening so far, although she was grateful they’d found a Black Light robe to put on while heading back to roll again.
“Everything’s great,” she said, letting George pull her to a stop next to the roulette wheel loaded with dozens of kinks.
She was relieved when Daddy carried the conversation. “I heard the good news that you’re engaged. Congrats to you and your fiancé, Madison.”
“Like, thanks! Trevor is off grabbing us some snacks, or I’d introduce you.”
Harley was ready to roll for their next activity, but Madison wasn’t taking the hint as she kept talking.
“I think you’re the last couple to come back to spin for your next activity. You must have really had a lot of fun with your flogging roll.”
George gave her hand a squeeze before answering. “Yeah, we sure did.”
Harley squeezed back, teasing. “Ea
sy for you to say. You got to come. You left me high and dry!”
His deep, rich laughter caught her off guard. “I can assure you; you were far from dry in that last scene,” he teased.
Madison threw her hands over her ears in exaggerated embarrassment. “TMI! TMI!”
“Oh, come on. It’s Roulette. You’ve heard or seen way worse tonight,” Harley joked.
“Maybe, but we’re friends. That makes it different.” Finally ready to get things back on track, Madison handed Harley the white marble and gave the wheel a spin. “Roll a good one, now,” she added.
The marble bounced around as Daddy leaned in to watch the outcome with her.
The second she was able to read the wheel’s slot where the marble now rested, she couldn’t wait to see what George might come up with.
“Dom’s choice! That’s great. We’ve only had one other of this roll tonight,” Madison added.
Harley looked up into his eyes and could already see mischief dancing there.
“You’re going to be in trouble if I choose to edge you for the rest of the night, aren’t you little girl?”
“You wouldn’t,” she whined, quickly tacking on a, “Sir,” for good measure.
The grin that lit up his face was contagious. “Lucky for you I can’t wait to watch you come unglued as I push you into an orgasm. The real question is… how long can I make you wait before I give in and let you come?”
Heat suffused her cheeks as they said their goodbyes to Madison and took off hand in hand through the theater and bar area. It was ridiculous how giddy Harley felt. She’d been in the lifestyle over four years now, most of that time spent with her no-good ex, Ken. But she’d played at Black Light enough times in the last year to know that George was unique, at least from the Doms she’d scened with in the past. She liked that he wasn’t afraid to have some fun along with his brand of BDSM and dominance.
Beyond the velvet curtain, the music got louder, the space got more crowded, and the smell of sex permeated the air. Not sure what her Dom had in mind, she followed as he led her up the few steps and into the crowded and dark Red Light District hallway. He weaved them between the sweaty bodies enjoying themselves in the enclosed space.
Once they’d finally made it through the thickest of the crowd, they had to stop again, this time in the small line waiting at the Costume Shop door.
“Don’t even say it,” he groused when they stepped forward as the line moved up.
“Say what?” she asked.
“How crowded the Red Light District is and how it leads to such poor traffic patterns in the club.”
It took a lot to embarrass Harley, but she really regretted that she’d opened her mouth and stuck her foot in it earlier by criticizing the floor layout of Black Light.
“I know you won’t believe me, but I really am sorry I said that. Especially because I was wrong.”
“Don’t lie. Anyone can see how packed it is in there.”
“Exactly, and that’s awesome.” She paused before leaning closer to be sure to be heard over the loud din. “I stand by what I said if I were planning a wedding event here, but I’m not. I think it’s perfect for a BDSM club because it offers more nooks and crannies for couples to disperse and play. Not everyone likes to be the center of attention on the main floor and having the smaller playrooms and viewing areas in the hallways give everyone a space they can feel comfortable in.”
“You’re placating me,” he groused. “I told you, I’m a big boy. I don’t need flattery to stroke my ego.”
The stark difference between George and her ex in that moment hit her over the head and it got her attention. In fact, so many of the men she interacted with regularly seemed to have such fragile egos that she’d just come to expect it. It was refreshing to meet someone who just seemed comfortable in his own skin.
“You okay over there?” George asked.
She must have been lost in thought longer than she’d intended. “Oh sure, fine… Sir.”
“I’m gonna see if I can get you to upgrade that fine to great in our next scene,” he teased as they took a step closer to the front of the line at the Costume Shop.
“You gonna tell me what you have planned for Dom’s choice?”
“You’ll find out soon enough.”
She was going to press for more info, but it was their turn. She’d never needed anything from the Costume Shop on her previous visits, so she’d never met the flamboyant man working there.
“Well, hello there, my sweets. I’m Dominic. What can I do to help you tonight?” the man who looked like a cross between RuPaul and Jack Sparrow asked.
Harley had to admire Dominic’s eccentric outfit from afar when George stepped around the counter and a few feet into the compact room to talk with the costume guy privately.
So much for getting a hint of what he had up his sleeve.
The men conspired for several long minutes, giving Harley time to watch the other lady working in the area helping another couple while she got more nervous by the minute.
What could George have in mind that it would take this long to conspire with Dominic? The more she tried to figure it out, the more excited she got until she finally tried to distract herself by thinking about something else.
Unfortunately, the only thing that kept floating to the top of her brain was how she’d vowed to just use roulette to scratch her itch. She’d come to feel a bite of pain and get her sexual itch scratched and that was it.
It was just three hours. She didn’t have time to get attracted to her Daddy for the night. That would just lead to complications at best, heartache at worst. No, she needed to stay focused on the sex, and only the sex.
Well, and she could admire some of the ornate costumes she could see from her vantage point. Racks and racks of them, from floor to ceiling. Shelves filled with accessories and sex toys. It looked like a costume design shop for the adult film industry.
Dominic handing George something white and folded got her attention just as Geo turned to walk in her direction, a grin on his face.
“Dominic’s gonna get you dressed for our next scene while I go out and get things ready. Stay here, follow his directions, and I’ll come back to pick you up when I’m ready for you. Got it?”
“But…”
“No buts. We’re back in scene. What do I need to hear?”
His yummy dominance came through loud and clear, yanking a quick “Yes, Sir,” from her reflexively.
“That’s my good girl. I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
Good girl, indeed. So why did being his anything make her tummy flutter with butterflies?
“Okay, chop chop! We need to get to work, or that delicious man of yours is gonna get mad.” Dominic clapped his hands together, and Harley opened her mouth to tell the guy this was roulette. Not a regular night where they could be something more.
During Roulette no submissives belonged to their Doms for more than a few hours, but she bit her tongue because Dominic was already frantically flicking through the hundreds of costumes on the racks and shelves, clearly looking for something.
“You’re a size eight, right?” he asked, not bothering to look her direction.
She wished she could let the comment stand, but she couldn’t. “Better make it a ten,” she corrected.
“No problem, girly. I’ve got you covered,” he said as he almost gleefully pulled a hanger from the rack.
The outfit didn’t make any sense while on the hanger, and as Dominic pulled the robe off her shoulders and started to help her into the skimpy clothes, she was still unsure what she was supposed to be.
As Dominic pulled the white corset-styled peasant top over her head, making sure to pull the ruffled mini-sleeves off her shoulders, she tried to press him for answers.
“What am I supposed to be?”
“Never you mind. Let’s get you into this skirt.”
The minuscule ruffled fabric had elastic at the waist for comfort, but the few inches of mat
erial barely covered her ass. She was relieved when he returned with a pair of panties until she realized they were almost completely transparent.
“Em… these are see-through.”
“Exactly. I wish I could be out there when that man of yours rips them off you in a little bit.”
“But… I look like a cross between an old-fashioned barmaid and a girl in an old whorehouse.”
Dominic’s grin lit up the whole space. “Then, girl, I did my job well.”
“I’ll say you did.” Her Dom’s deep voice made her jump as he answered in his deep voice. Their eyes met as she turned to face him and she saw the heat stoking there as he added, “You look perfect.”
Harley let her own gaze rake up and down her Daddy for the night, liking what she saw. He still had on the dark suit pants he’d been wearing, but he’d changed out his more formal shirt with a casual white linen tunic that was open at the collar and slit half-way down his chest. The salt-and-pepper chest hair peeking out reminded her he was all man—confident.
Sexy as fuck.
“What were you just thinking about?” he questioned.
“Nothing,” she said too quickly. She didn’t want to admit to him just how attracted to him she was. It felt like it would be breaking the rules of Roulette.
“Hmmm. You want to keep secrets? We’ll see about that.”
Playing along, she teased. “Oh? And whatcha gonna do about it?”
Putting on a previously unseen tricorne hat that looked straight out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, George grinned before answering.
“I’m Captain Geo and I’m about to take you hostage on my pirate ship. I have my ways of whipping the truth out of sexy captives like you. I plan on having fun punishing you in front of the entire crew, and then I’ll be sure to claim you as my own until you scream my name.”
His words were from an X-rated bodice ripper novel and her pussy reacted accordingly. Never in a million years would Ken, or any other Dom she’d ever played with in the past, propose a fun scene like this. Harley’s brain wanted to think it was a foolish game, but her body’s reaction called her a liar.
