Black Light: Roulette Rematch (Black Light Series Book 20)
Page 75
“Good afternoon, everyone,” he said, opening the meeting with a polite smile. “First, Chase, Emma, and I would like to say how impressed we were with how well everyone did with this year’s Valentine Roulette, and we want to thank all of you for your hard work. This is a massive event to pull off, and all of the members’ feedback was extremely positive.”
“We’ve already had people reaching out about tickets for next year!” Chase added, flashing his grin at everyone as a few cheers popped up on the audio.
“Yes, we have, which is great news. The word of mouth on this exclusive event always results in a spike in guest passes, which is followed by a spike in memberships, and we all benefit from that.” Jaxson glanced down as Emma slid a sheet of paper in front of him, but he nudged it back to her. “Before we get into the scenes from both events, Emma is going to give all of you the totals for sales and the silent auction.”
Tilting the laptop toward his wife, Jaxson angled himself out of the camera to sneak another drink of the bourbon. Chase’s hand landed on the back of his neck, his sub pressing in with his thumb to work at the knot of tension lurking at the base of his skull.
“Thanks,” he mumbled, trying to stay quiet while Emma read out the numbers, but he tuned back in when she started to announce the official charities the auctions would be benefiting.
“On the East Coast the silent auction proceeds will go to Casa Ruby,” Emma continued. “If you’re not familiar, Casa Ruby is a multicultural LGBTQIA organization providing educational, health, housing, and social services to individuals facing poverty in the nation’s capital. They focus on the needs of transgender, queer, and gender non-conforming gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals, as well as youth and LGBT immigrants. They do a lot of good in D.C. and we’re thrilled to be able to support them.”
“That’s fucking awesome,” Terry shouted, turning to high-five Garreth who was sitting next to him.
“Thank you!” Emma beamed. “We really did a lot of research before we chose them.”
“We love you, Emma!” someone else shouted, but Jax couldn’t tell who it was, and Chase’s slight tug on his neck was enough to quell his urge to remind everyone on the call exactly who Emma belonged to — not that it was necessary, but sometimes it was just nice to remind people.
“What about us?” Tyler called from the West Coast feed.
“Right, on the West Coast we’ve selected the Los Angeles LGBT Center.” Shuffling her papers, she found the next one she needed and slapped it on top. “This is one of the largest organizations operating in L.A. to provide support to LGBTQIA people in the area. They offer health services, social services and housing, and education to the greater Los Angeles area, as well as advocate for progressive policies to support the community. We’re so proud to have found organizations on both coasts doing such fantastic work, and we know they’ll be thrilled by the donations your teams helped raise during Roulette.”
“Yeah, that’s all awesome,” Spencer interrupted, talking over the people clapping and cheering Emma’s announcements. “Can we just get to who won?”
Swiveling the laptop back to show all three of them, Jaxson glared through the screen at the East Coast’s Dungeon Master. “Shut up, Spencer. Being a dick to my wife isn’t going to earn any last-minute points from us, and FYI, having your team harass us by e-mailing the same shit to each of us doesn’t help either. It just pisses me off.”
Elijah busted out laughing, but Jaxson’s temper was off the leash with the two men and their ridiculous pissing contest.
“Hey, Elijah, don’t think I forgot about you not letting me leave to play with my submissives Sunday night because you were too busy trying to pump me for information about your event,” Jax snapped, effectively shutting down both of the testosterone-fueled dominants for at least the next thirty seconds. Groaning, he didn’t bother to hide the drink anymore and just took a sip of it on camera. “Now, if all of you are done slowing this shit down, we’ll get to the winners at each location.”
Both teams cheered at that, but the Dungeon Masters were notably quiet, and he was tempted to strap the two of them to a St. Andrew’s Cross until they learned to drop their fucking attitudes.
Later, Jax. You can plan their torture later.
“Emma, please announce the East Coast’s winner,” he prompted, catching her mid-swallow on her rosé, but she recovered quickly, laughing as she leaned back into frame.
“Hey, Black Light East!” Emma paused for their cheers before continuing. “There were a lot of great scenes like the whipping that featured a cat o’ nine tails, the suspension with electricity play, the fisting that resulted in quite the splash zone from what we heard, and more than a few very sexy flogging scenes. But the winner for this year’s East Coast Valentine Roulette was obvious. Almost every vote turned in was for Mark and SweetGirl’s exhilarating suspension that took advantage of a violet wand, several tens units, and even a kink-safe cattle prod!”
“Fuck yeah, I told you that one would win!” Owen shouted, his words almost drowned out by the cheering and clapping filling the small meeting room.
“Can I be the one to tell Mark?” Chad asked, glancing at Spencer, who waved him off, muttering something the microphone didn’t pick up.
“From what we heard it was a pretty amazing scene. Congratulations for helping them pull it off, guys!” Emma cheered, smiling into the camera as she slid the stack of their notes across the keyboard toward Chase. “Now, the winner on the West Coast was a bit more contested, and Chase is going to take that one.”
“Thanks, baby.” He scooted his chair a little closer to Jaxson’s, flashing that photographer wooing grin of his. “As Emma mentioned, the votes from our voyeurs on the West Coast were much more mixed, and we had our own disagreements too. Some liked the bondage wheel blow-job scene, some liked the puppy play where the girl was paraded around the club. The knife play that resulted in a blood rose got a lot of shout outs too, as did the artistic needle play, and we had Harley Quinn scaling an actual giant.” Glancing down, Chase started laughing. “Oh yeah, there was a Sybian orgasm torture scene that had more than one of us craving some relief, along with pirates, and schoolgirls, and cops and criminals, and—”
“Holy shit… stop listing stuff and just get to the winner already,” Spencer grumbled, but he was close enough to the microphone for it to come in loud and clear.
Jaxson was about to rip the man a new asshole when Chase squeezed his thigh under the table. “Well, after taking all of the votes and feedback into account, the winner for our West Coast Valentine Roulette is Master Jafari and Special K’s dom’s choice needle play scene.”
“Yes!” Tyler shouted, grinning as he leaned back to smack someone in the arm, a rumble of other voices talking about the beautiful display Jafari had created with the needles. Of course, since Jafari and Kacy were somewhere in his SUV, Jaxson would gladly make the call to notify them just to get an update on if they were still alive.
“And, as Spencer so delicately pointed out,” Jaxson started, flashing a sarcastic grin at the jackass in question. “The West Coast did have a wide variety of kinks this year with multiple scenes that exemplified what we try to do with Roulette each year, and therefore we’ve selected the West Coast for the overall winner. Congratulations, Black Light West!”
Elijah’s team erupted into whistles and cheers that were loud enough to make the audio distort and crackle. Tapping the volume down on the laptop, the whole trio took the opportunity to sneak a drink. Jaxson knew more bullshit was coming, he just had to wait for the West Coast team to quiet down… then it would hit.
Their celebrating went on a little too long though, and since he could see the East Coast team sulking, he went against his sadistic instincts and decided it would be better to just step in and cut off the torture.
“Yes, yes, great job, guys. Congrats,” Jaxson repeated, signaling to everyone to calm down. “We’ve got to start wrapping up the meeting, because I know several
people have other places to be this evening since we’re not open.”
“This is such bullshit, Keaton!” Spencer shouted. “It’s no one’s fault here on the East Coast that the fucking wheel kept choosing such plain kinks. We had the same shit on our wheel as you do over there, but everyone was spinning mainstream shit.”
“Come on, Spencer,” Jax said, sighing. “It’s not every year you’re going to get something like the fire play you had last year.”
“Not that fire play would have saved your ass this year,” Elijah quipped, earning a slap on the back from Kaiden, one of the DMs.
“Yeah? Well, I saw the report on your event,” Spencer growled, pointing at the camera. “And I’m not surprised you had all those role plays. You’ve got a bunch of actors over there, not real kinksters.”
“Well, apparently we had more real kinksters than you this year!” Elijah shouted, the West Coast team erupting into laughs and cheers, while the East Coast team began arguing, until everyone was trying to talk over everyone else — and no one could hear shit.
“Fuck, this is so dumb,” Chase grumbled, leaning back in his chair to whisper to Emma. “Psst, can’t you mute everyone since we started this meeting?”
“Ooo, good idea.” Leaning forward, Emma grabbed the laptop for a second, and a moment later both the East Coast and West Coast feeds were muted. “Much better.”
It still took another minute for the mute to actually register, but Jaxson enjoyed sipping drinks with his husband and wife while they soaked in the peace and quiet — along with the hilarious view of a bunch of dominants and feisty women gesturing wildly.
“Hey Emma,” Chase whispered, and both Jaxson and Emma turned to look at him. “I know I already said it, but I really am sorry about the fuck up in front of Kelsey this morning.”
“I already told you the conversation went fine. It’s not like she didn’t already have a good idea that we were unique based off our marriage alone,” Emma replied softly.
“As long as she doesn’t quit,” Jaxson grumbled, not wanting to go through the nightmare of vetting candidates for a new nanny.
“No, I don’t think that is a risk at all.”
Raising an eyebrow, he looked over at his wife. “Does that mean there is a risk?”
“Well…” Emma blushed a little, that guilty smile plucking at her lips. “She might have asked how someone gets into BDSM, and if there are any clubs in the area?”
Fuck.
Having his nanny joining Black Light would be a nightmare, but the idea of her seeking out a different club in the area didn’t make Jaxson feel any better.
“I’m not dealing with that right now,” he mumbled, finishing the last sip of his bourbon as the East and West coast teams on the screen seemed to recognize they couldn’t hear each other anymore. Finally, the groups settled down, and Jax leaned forward, raising his voice. “Can everyone hear me?”
Both coasts nodded in unison, although there was one middle finger, specifically from Cook. Jaxson just smiled politely as if he couldn’t see it.
“We’ve done this little contest for two years in a row, and while I will always give creative ideas a chance, I wanted to let everyone know that we will not be doing this competition again. I’m done putting up with you two,” Jax said, pointing at both Dungeon Masters. “If you guys want to have a pissing contest, you can do it without our involvement, or the added bonuses that came with us.”
He could see that people were irritated, but Jaxson really didn’t give a shit.
“Congratulations again to the West Coast team and thank you all for your hard work over on the East Coast. Despite whatever you may feel, this was a very successful event, and we’re going to do some great things in the communities we’re a part of on both coasts.”
“Should I unmute them?” Emma whispered, and Jax shook his head slightly.
“Have a great evening, everyone!” he called out, not caring if anyone was listening to him anymore. Waving a hand, Jaxson clicked the ‘end meeting’ button and snapped the lid of the laptop shut.
“Those guys need to take some tranquilizers,” Chase said, leaning back to drink whatever orange concoction he had in his glass.
“I don’t know, I kind of feel bad for the East Coast team. Should we send them something?” Emma asked, her empathy shining through, and Jaxson leaned over to pull her into a kiss. She tasted like sweet wine, and his beautiful wife, which was a hell of a tempting combination.
“I love you for thinking of that idea,” Jaxson said, cupping her cheek as he moved back to meet her eyes. “But my answer is fuck no.”
Emma let out a soft giggle, grabbing his hand to press a kiss to his knuckles. “You catch more flies with honey, sweetheart.”
“And who the hell has ever wanted to catch flies?” Scoffing, Jax stood up, stretching his back out. “I’ve got enough pests to deal with between Spencer and Elijah.”
“Okay, well, Kelsey is going to be at the park with the twins for another hour…” Chase said, standing as well, that sexy little grin moving over his mouth. “How would you like to spend it, sir?”
“I have some ideas.” Emma nudged her chair back, slipping to her knees on the floor in front of him, her hands quickly working at his slacks.
“Do I get a say in this?” Jaxson asked, smiling when she paused with her fingers in the waistband of his boxer-briefs, those gorgeous violet eyes angled up at him.
“Do you not like my idea, sir?” she asked, tilting her head as if it were a real question.
“Of course I like it, I’m just starting to think that the punishment last night didn’t stick.”
“Oh, it did, sir,” Chase murmured, pressing against him for a moment before his magical hands went to work on the muscles in his back. “We’re just offering suggestions. Feel free to tell us to stop.”
“I have a better idea. Why don’t we move this to the bedroom, so we don’t traumatize our nanny any further today, then we’ll revisit your suggestions.” Jaxson reached back to catch Chase by the back of the neck and caught a fistful of Emma’s hair to pull her to her feet. “Shall we?”
“Yes, sir,” they both replied, that same slightly dreamy edge of submission in their voices, and his cock stood to attention instantly.
It still surprised Jax sometimes that he’d found not just one, but two people he actually wanted to be around all the time. Chase and Emma were like missing parts of him, because he’d never felt whole until he had both of them in his life.
Two perfect partners that bent to his dominance without disappearing under it.
Two people who met his kinks with wild abandon and loved him harder than he’d ever been loved.
When he was younger, he’d thought that his life would be nothing more than a string of one-night stands, but now… somehow… Jaxson Cartwright-Davidson was married to two sexy as fuck people that he knew would always stand by his side.
On top of all that, they had two kids together, a real family, and a successful business that didn’t involve him sleeping in a different city every night.
Even if it came with two testosterone-fueled jackasses… Jax wouldn’t trade his life for anything.
He had everything he could ever want.
