Tattered & Torn

Martha stood and walked around the table to hug her mother and Charles. “Thank you, Mom and Dad. I love you both.”
As she walked away, Charles reached for Sarah’s hand and smiled. “I finally have a daughter,” he whispered.
“And a granddaughter!” Sarah replied just as Penny ran over to hug them both.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I want to express my sincere appreciation to four very special friends: Joyce Frazier, Janice Packard, Sharon Rose, and Phyllis Inscoe, all of whom have spent hours reading these chapters, bringing plot inconsistencies and errors to my attention, and providing me with their endless encouragement.
Thank you, dear friends, for all your hard work and for bringing fun and friendship to what could otherwise have been a tedious endeavor.
I also wish to thank Bonnie Hunter for providing the photograph of the vintage quilt used on the cover of this book. As you will see, it provided guiding inspiration for the Tattered and Torn storyline. I recommend that you stop in for a visit on Bonnie’s blog (http://quiltville.blogspot.com/) which offers quilting tips and techniques, patterns and tutorial, and lots of quilting fun.
I also want to thank my readers. Many of you have stayed with me for the long haul, following Sarah and her cohorts from the beginning. I love hearing from you and hope you will contact me at quiltingcozy@comcast.net or visit me on my website at http://caroldeanjones.wordpress.com.
