She arched her back in response, unable to hold still. Gord grinned through their kiss, then left her lips for an oral journey down her body. He nuzzled her neck just under her ear and lapped at her throat. Moving slightly lower, he settled himself on the bed beside her. With small kisses, little licks, and tiny nips, he focused his attention on her breasts.

Beaded nipples hardened, and she moaned, instinctively moving her hips and flexing her pelvic floor muscles. That tiny flex added something to her arousal, and so she did it again.

“Mmm, I can smell her. She’s wet for you.” Clay’s voice as he assumed the role of voyeur sent a zing of excitement through her.

She splayed the fingers of her left hand in Gord’s hair and reached out with her right for her other lover.

Clay came to her, and when she raised her face to his, he kissed her. Warm and wet, his mouth suckled hers, and as his tongue danced with hers, Gord shifted his attention to her pussy.

The twin invasions—Clay’s tongue and Gord’s fingers—worked together, fanning the flames of her arousal, pushing her higher. Needing to give, to reach, she began to roll her hips. She chased Gord’s electrifying caress and sucked Clay’s tongue into her mouth and enjoyed the thrill of horniness.

  “Over, darlin’.”

Tasha obeyed the pressure of Gord’s hands. Breaking her kiss with Clay, she rolled over onto her stomach. Gaining her hands and knees, she pushed her ass toward Gord, wiggling it slightly.

“You’re sassy, woman. Love that, too.” Gord’s tone told her his arousal was soaring as high as her own.

The tear of plastic made her look over her shoulder in time to watch Gord slide the condom onto his burgeoning cock. She watched as he squeezed some lube onto his hand, and then used that hand to fist his sheathed shaft.

Covered and coated, his cock stood straight up and Tasha shivered. She wanted it—wanted him.

He moved toward her, and she licked her lips in anticipation.

  “Look at me, baby.”

Clay’s voice drew her attention. She met his gaze and he moved in and gave her a light, sweet kiss. “If it hurts too much, you tell us. Understand?”

  “I want this.”

“So do we, darlin’. But it would kill me to hurt you. There’s going to be some pain, but hopefully it will help your arousal and not hinder it. Okay?”

Of course it would wound him—it would wound them both to hurt her. She desperately wanted this, but more, she wanted to reassure her men that she took them and their concerns seriously. “All right.”

She sighed as Gord stroked more lube over her ass, as he played his fingers up and down. She figured she must have some pretty sexy nerve endings right there, because his stroking really got her juices flowing.

He pressed against her, one finger. The burn this time was slight, and when his finger slid into her, she made an “mmm” kind of sound and pushed back.

  “Be still.”

Clay isn’t the only man in this relationship who can be bossy. Tasha sighed and reigned in her inner nymphomaniac. Gord moved his finger in and out and she licked her lips, letting her eyes drift closed.

“Hey, pretty girl, look at me.” Clay’s coaxing tone made her do just that, and in an instant she understood he was watching her, their own little improvised fail-safe measure to ensure they didn’t hurt her overmuch.

Gord inserted a second finger, and the burn returned. But she was so hot, so aroused, the burn just felt good. She felt a brush against her pussy and then a slight delving.

“You’re nice and wet, Tasha.” Gord sounded pleased, and that made her feel as if she’d done something extraordinary.

His secondary touch had pushed her arousal higher. “Please, Gord. I need you.”

“I need you, too, darlin’. Easy now.”

He eased his fingers out of her and in the next breath she felt the heat and girth of his cock pressing against her anus.

Tenting her, he leaned in closer, the weight of his body working to push his cock against her rosebud. The burn returned, bigger, stronger, and as he continued to push, the burning turned to pain.

“Oh…I need…” The feelings shocked her, the desperation, the urge to push back for all she was worth. Clay seemed to read that need in her eyes.

“Hold still, honey. You can drive this car another time.” Then he winked at her and she very nearly laughed.

“Lay your head down, now, Tasha and let go. You’re holding your hips and leg muscles too tightly, making it hard for me to enter you.”

She didn’t understand that she was doing that but she did as he asked, and rested her head and chest on the bed. Her ass rose higher, and she felt a change as his cock began to breach her ass.

Clay moved on the bed so he could still see her face, but now he stroked a hand from her nape to the small of her back. “Relax, Tasha. It’ll feel better when you do.”

Now she felt it, the way she was contracting her muscles. She inhaled deeply, then let her breath go, and let go every bit of control she’d been holding back.

“Yes.” Gord’s sigh of relief accompanied his cockhead pushing past her sphincter and into her ass.

“Oh…yeah, hold still.” Gord sounded like he was waging a Herculean battle. The heat, the pressure, the remnants of pain all added to her arousal. She wanted to move, so she said, “Please!”

“Do you want me to stop? Am I hurting you?”

“Fuck me. Oh, please, I need to feel…” Her words evaporated as Gord slid his cock all the way into her.

He pulled back, then slid in again. “I can’t last.”

  “More.”

His chuckle sounded rueful. “Greedy wench. Hang on.”

He eased nearly all the way out and then pushed into her again. Tasha whimpered, because the friction of his cock against her ring ignited nerve endings and sent shocks of electricity spinning through her entire body.

In and out he moved, and through the hands that held her ass cheeks opened, she could feel the powerful trembles of his control.

“I’ll help.” Clay moved just a little. Then he extended his hand and traced a path down from her bellybutton to her cunt.

He found her clit with no trouble and began to rub it back and forth.

The twin stimulation proved to be the perfect combination. Like a rocket soaring out of control, her arousal climbed and climbed, higher, wider, faster, until she knew it was in control and would no longer be denied.

Unable to stop, she pushed back, countering Gord’s thrusts.

“God!” He moved, two fast, deep thrusts, and Tasha cried out as her orgasm burst, as the waves of pleasure grew and grew, sucking the air out of her body and the strength from her soul. She heard Gord’s shout, and felt the spasms of his cock in her ass as he ejaculated into the condom.

The sound of panting, the scent of sex, and the sensation of Gord’s perspiration-covered chest resting on her back all told her she lived.

  “Tasha?”

The worry in Gord’s voice hurt her heart. After so blatantly disobeying him, the least she could do was reassure him. “So good.”

  “Vixen. Hold still.”

He slowly pulled his cock from her, and she sighed because even that had felt good. She heard the sound of his bare feet on the bathroom tiles. He was back moments later with a warm, wet cloth which he used to clean her.

He went back to the bathroom and she tracked his movements with her hearing. The toilet flushed, water spilled into one of the sinks. Finally, she heard his sigh, and his footsteps as he returned to the bed.

Gord lifted her and Clay pulled back the blankets. Clay covered them once Gord lay down with her still in his arms.

“I’m just going to check the kids,” Clay said.

He was back barely two minutes later.

  “They okay?” Gord asked.

“Still sound asleep,” Clay said. He moved so that he spooned her.

Tasha sighed and snuggled her head on Gord and her bottom against Cl
ay.

“I’ll accept your invitation on another day, woman.” Clay said.

“I’m sorry I pushed,” she said. “I couldn’t stop myself.”

“Training and control,” Gord said. “It’s all a matter of training and control.”

The words were so out of character for him that Tasha laughed. “You’ve been spending too much time with those damn Dom cousins of yours.”

“Hey, they seem to know what they’re about,” Clay said—as if he, too, thought the same thing Gord did.

These two are closer than brothers, so he probably does.

“Yeah, well they’re not quite as all-knowing as you think.” Tasha made a mental note to contact Jillian and find out how her “surprise” announcement went. But later. Much, much later.

  “Go to sleep, darlin’.”

  “Bossy.”

“Only when it comes to your well-being. You need to sleep.”

Surrounded by her lovers, by the press of their flesh to hers and the scent and the heat of them, Tasha closed her eyes and felt herself slide into sleep.

  Chapter 18

“I thought I was going to have to cheer you up this morning. But as far as I can see, if you get any more cheerful I think you might just burst.”

Tasha looked over at Chloe, who stood in the doorway between the reception area and the main salon, arms akimbo, a huge smile on her face.

“Life is good,” Tasha acknowledged, “even factoring in the possible appearance of a crazy stalker chick.”

Chloe shook her head. “The whole town is on the lookout for a woman who doesn’t belong here,” Chloe said. “I can tell you from personal experience, that it doesn’t matter how long you’ve lived in Lusty. Everyone considers you one of them, and they’ll go to the mat to keep you safe.”

Tasha had never sat down with Chloe to hear from her own lips the story of how Adam Kendall had “gone to the mat” for her. She could only imagine the scene—Chloe being held captive by a convicted sex offender, and Adam making the decision to careen through a plate glass window in order to try and save her.

What neither man had known at the time was that Chloe had indeed been captive, but not defenseless. She’d hidden her gun under her pillow and when her captor had turned and aimed his weapon at Adam, Chloe had shot the villain dead.

Tasha sensed her boss still carried a few scars from that episode, although with each passing week, they seemed to fade a bit more. No wonder all those men had shouted “no” when I suggested arming myself. Being prepared was one thing, but actually using deadly force could be a heavy burden on a person’s soul.

“I’m not worried,” Tasha said now. And maybe, to ease Chloe’s fears just a little, she said, “I have faith in the people of this town. I know Sheriff Kendall and Deputy Benedict are on high alert. And, there are enough other highly trained men in this town that I really do feel safe.”

“And you’re in love, which shades everything a nice pretty rose color.”

She hadn’t admitted it yet—at least not to the men who should hear it from her first. So instead of answering she just smiled, and shrugged her shoulders.

Chloe seemed to understand her reluctance to confirm her statement. She nodded once, and then said, “We suddenly find ourselves with a very full day today.” The door opened. Ari and Carol had arrived together, laughing, likely at some quip Ari had delivered. A quick check of the time told Tasha that they would be opening the spa in twenty minutes.

Chloe stood aside and greeted the newcomers, then said, “I was just telling Tasha that we’ve received a few more bookings, giving us a very full day.” She held up a list. “My phone was ringing off the hook last night.”

Ari nodded her head. “Good.” Then she walked right up to Tasha and met her gaze. “Unless one of your men comes to take you to lunch, girlfriend, I’ll be escorting you to the restaurant today.”

It was on the tip of Tasha’s tongue to ask what Ari, all five-foot-almost-nothing of her could do to defend her. But she knew her diminutive coworker had held her own from the time she’d been just fourteen years old and living on the streets of Indianapolis—not to mention what she’d dared to do a few months before. She’d stood up to a man who’d meant her grave harm, and with the help of Grandma Kate, she’d come out on top. Some people gave off vibes that belied their younger years, and Ari was one.

So instead, Tasha nodded. “Good. I’d like some company for lunch.”

The morning flew by. They were indeed jam-packed with business—not that business wasn’t always good, but it seemed to Tasha as if there was barely room to stand in the spa that day. Something else she noticed, and that was at least one the families’ older women was there every minute.

Having heard how Ginny had gone after her own tormentor bare-handed, without realizing the kind of backup she actually had, Tasha wouldn’t be surprised if most of the ladies visiting the spa that day carried a little extra hardware in their purses.

Tasha didn’t know if she actually believed she was in any real danger from the woman obsessed with Clay. She didn’t feel the least bit afraid. Maybe that was something she should be worried about. What she did feel, as the minutes ticked by, was cared for in a way that she’d never experienced before.

It’s kind of amazing when an entire town has your back.

Rebecca Jessop Harper-Benedict extended her hand so Tasha could begin the process of removing her old gel manicure. “Did I tell you that I had a crazy stalker chick after me, too? It was when I came back here, from Seattle, last year.”

“I didn’t know that!” Probably because, over the last year, Rebecca and her husbands had been gone more than they’d been around. As a result, Tasha hadn’t spent very much time with the beautiful artist. The Harper-Benedicts worked together, seeing to the administration of the charity they headed, Maria’s Quest.

“Yes, indeed. I knew about her, and more or less acknowledged that she might be a threat. But I didn’t really believe she was actually gunning for me—quite literally—until the day she tracked me down out at the cottage.”

Tasha had never actually been to the place the families referred to as “the cottage.” Her understanding was it was like a small manor home, styled along the lines of an Alpine chalet. Located on Benedict land, it wasn’t far, as the crow—or helicopter—flew, but served as a good place to go to get away from the busyness of life.

Tasha shivered, the parallel between Rebecca’s stated frame of mind and her own obvious. “What did you do?”

“I ran like hell.” Rebecca nodded, as if to underscore her answer. “As fast as my two legs could take me. That crazy stalker chick started firing that Glock in my direction—stupid bitch didn’t know how to handle a gun, that sure as hell was clear—but damned if she didn’t send a bullet whizzing right past my head.” Rebecca stopped then and looked around, as if checking to be sure of who was close by and possibly overhearing the conversation. “There’s no need to ever mention that part to any of the men. They’d only get pissed off all over again.”

Tasha grinned. “The men of this town do seem to have an unreasonable attitude about women doing what they must.” She was beginning to understand the litany of codicils that Clay had issued the day before, when he told her to stay away from his crazy stalker chick.

“I mean, it’s not as if any of us have deliberately courted trouble,” Rebecca said. “But there comes a time when a woman just has to—well, woman up.”

“Well, I did,” Ari said. She was giving Bernice Benedict a manicure at the station right next to Tasha’s. “Deliberately court trouble, I mean. But then I’m a little batshit crazy myself.”

“It’s true enough the men don’t always understand,” Bernice said. “They seem all hell bent on protecting their womenfolk, which is how the good Lord made them. That said, it’s also very true that sometimes the womenfolk have to protect themselves—or the ones they love.”

“I promised Clay that I would behave. And really, how co
uld I not give him that promise? All things considered, I didn’t want him worrying about me any more than absolutely necessary.” He’d been through enough heartache for one lifetime. Tasha was determined to do all she could to ensure she didn’t cause him any more.

“How is he handling the situation, sweetheart?” Bernice asked. “He’s been through so much. My heart just ached for him last year.”

“Aside from the fact that he almost can’t believe it’s happening, he’s okay. The children will be staying at Gord’s for a couple of days, as an extra precaution.”

“That was a wise decision on his part,” Bernice said. “Hopefully, this will all be over in a day or two.” She shook her head and sighed. “I can’t help but feel a little sorry for this woman, whoever she is. Imagine being so damaged in life that you have to seek a sense of belonging where none exists.”

Tasha almost agreed with Bernice’s sentiment, except that it was her man this woman had fixated upon. She hoped that Connor was able to discover her identity soon.

Forty minutes later, Tasha escorted Rebecca to the reception area of the spa. “I really love these gel manicures,” Rebecca said. “I can just forget about my nails for two weeks. I’m too busy to be fussing over my appearance, anyway.”

“I feel the same way,” Tasha said. “And that French white style you chose means you don’t even have to worry about the outfit you wear. It goes with everything.”

She looked up when the door opened, and then grinned. “Hey, handsome, new in town?”

Clay’s gaze was fixed on her when he stepped through the door, closing it behind him. “You could say. I thought you might like some company for lunch.”

Tasha felt her heart melt. She didn’t doubt that he wanted to spend time with her, but she knew he also wanted to do his part to protect her. “I’d love it.”

Clay flicked a glance and a smile at Rebecca, and then walked right over, cupped Tasha’s face, and kissed her.
