I let the soap drop to the floor of the shower. My hand moves underneath to brush against the inside of her thighs. A fine tremble racks her body, and I place a kiss on her shoulder in reward. I push my fingers inside her, stretching her pussy, and groaning at the way her muscles instantly squeeze and try to pull me in deeper. I feel her pussy fluttering, the muscles contracting. She’s ready to go off, and when she does, I need to be buried balls deep inside her.
“Jesus, Carrie. You’re ready to explode now,” I moan, pulling my fingers out of her depths to rake them against her swollen clit.
“Hurry Jacob. Please. Hurry.”
“I’m right here baby. I’m right here with you,” I tell her, taking my throbbing cock in my hand. It’s so fucking hard I can feel the beating of my pulse against my fingers where I’m holding it. I rake against the lips of her pussy, the feeling nearly making me come right now.
“Jacob,” she cries, her head going back as her whole body shakes. She’s there—right there, and I can’t hold back any longer. I thrust hard inside her, sinking in completely, and not stopping until my balls are pushing against her. I hold myself deep inside her, refusing to move, and enjoying the feel of her…of finally being inside her. It’s something I’ve been craving all fucking day.
“Honey. I need…I need you to move,” Carrie gasps, her ass pushing back against me. She sounds almost desperate, and my instinct is to give her exactly what she wants. But, something inside of me wants this to last a little longer, because I know the minute I move it will be over for both of us.
I’m pressed as tight as I can manage against her back, I wrap my hand around her pulling her into me, my hands cupping her breasts and squeezing them. Her nipples stab against my palms, so hard, I wonder if it is painful. I let my thumbs flick against the swollen nubs, smiling when her ass pushes even harder against me, and she clamps down on my dick.
“You’re so fucking perfect, Carrie.” I have no idea if the words come out loud enough for her to hear them, because she’s trying to take control. Her hips rotating and working her body on my cock. My hands leave her breasts and move down to her hips. At first, it’s to keep her from moving, but the minute my fingers press into the soft flesh of her hips I feel her orgasm start, and my restraint is broken.
I move her hips, pulling her back into me as I thrust forward. Soon she takes over, meeting me thrust for thrust, and rotating her hips so that my cock scrapes against her walls. I can feel my cum gathering, her orgasm demanding my own. I close my eyes, scrunching them up tight, trying to concentrate on the sounds around us. I can feel the now cooling water as it runs and splashes against my body. I try to concentrate on anything but the feel of Carrie, and the way her orgasm rocks her body, the way her greedy little pussy milks my cock, and the warm, hot, silken depths of her. It doesn’t help. I can’t hold back. I pull out until only the tip of my cock remains inside her, I freeze there for just a second, and then I thrust so fucking hard back inside of her, her body falls against the shower wall. For a minute, I’m afraid I might have hurt her, my heart stops as fear hits me.
Then, Carrie gives me words that sends me over the edge. “Harder, Jacob. Fuck me, harder.”
I give her what she asks, coming so hard inside of her I get light headed. I fuck her until we’re both barely able to move, and every last drop of my cum is gone. I fall against her, my lips pressed against her shoulder.
“I can never get us close enough, never get deep enough inside of you, Carrie,” I whisper, my voice hoarse.
“For me either,” she says in a breathy sigh.
“Let’s get in bed beautiful,” I tell her, forcing my arms and legs to work. I turn the water off, pull her out of the shower with me, wrapping her in large bath towel, and taking another to towel dry her hair.
“I love you, Jacob.”
“I love you too,” I tell her, wondering if I will ever get over this feeling of joy when she gives me those words. I hope not. In fact, I pray I never do. It’s the best feeling in the world.

“You okay, sweetheart?”
“Mmm…,” I whimper, stretching in the warm bed, and snuggling under the cotton sheets. Jacob’s body heat is relaxing me even more. We’re snuggled in the bed, and I feel like my bones have actually melted. The orgasm that he gave me was so intense, that I feel almost weightless.
“Is that a yes or a no?” he laughs. I turn to my side, kissing his chest and wrapping my arm around his waist.
“A yes, definitely a yes,” I grin. “God, your body is warm.”
“That’s good, because you’re still cold.”
“I don’t feel cold. I feel…exhausted.” It’s true. The excitement of the day combined with making love with Jacob, makes me feel like I could sleep for days. My eyes drift up to the glossy wood ceilings. The cabin is all wood. It’s on the ceilings, the walls, and the floors. It fits the mountains outside. I almost feel like I’m in an old western movie. I wonder if I could get Jacob to wear a white hat and let me save a horse and ride a cowboy…
“That must mean I did something right.”
“You did all kinds of things right,” I laugh. “Like you didn’t know already.”
“Hey, it’s always nice to hear. A man needs to know when he makes his woman happy.” I look at him and he’s smiling, but his eyes seem more serious than they should be. Does he really need reassurance?
“Jacob, you always make me happy.”
“You deserve better, Care Bear. You always have.”
“We’re married, Jacob.”
“I know, and I’m a lucky son of a bitch, but the truth is the truth. You deserve better than me.”
“You’re all I’ve wanted from the time I was five years old.”
“I’m still broken. Hell, Carrie. I might have put my past behind me, but even now, there’s parts of it still here. I’ll never be completely healed.”
“And that’s why you go to therapy. Your past is just that, your past. We deal with it like we have always dealt with it. Together.”
“Someone else might be easier…might give you an easier life, I mean.”
“I don’t want anyone else. I haven’t since the first moment I laid eyes on you, and I never will. I couldn’t make it one day without you, Jacob.”
“Carrie—”
“Could you, Jacob?”
“Could I what?”
“Be able to go on without me? Build another life that didn’t involve me?”
“Fuck no. You and Jazz are my life.”
“Then stop it, because believe me when I tell you it’s the same for me. We’ll face whatever life throws at us together. Because you and I are stronger together.”
“I married a smart woman.”
“You did,” I answer, smiling as some of the shadows leave his face. He brings his hand up to capture mine, threading his fingers in mine. He stares at our joined hands for a minute before looking at me again.
“You think we succeeded in getting you pregnant tonight?” he asks, grinning and that definitely looks better on him than shadows of the past.
“Doubtful, since I just stopped taking the birth control.”
“Damn.”
“Of course, practice is always good to have.”
“True, and I mean it is our honeymoon. It’d be kind of sad if we didn’t take advantage of that.”
“That’s an excellent point, Jacob Blake.”
“Actually, if I didn’t make love to you that would probably make me a failure as a husband.”
“God, you’re so smart,” I giggle, as he rolls so he’s braced over me. He reaches over and grabs a pillow and then lifts me, pushing the pillow under me. “What’s that for?” I ask, gasping as he slides inside of me without warning. He enters easily. I’m always wet and needy when Jacob is close to me.
“To get you closer,” he groans. “I need you as close as possible,” he adds, sliding in and out of me slowly at almost a sweet pace. His eye
s never leave mine, and I’m able to see every feeling, every moment of pleasure shining there. “You’re never close enough, Carrie. I will never get enough of you,” he promises. “I love you, Care Bear. I’ll always love you.”
“I love you, Jacob,” I vow, as I pull my legs up, stretching so he sinks in just a little deeper. My nails dig into his back as I do everything I can to hold him tightly into me. “I’ll always love you.”
My eyes slowly close. It’s okay to close them now. Jacob is mine and he knows I’m his. Nothing else matters. Past or present, or even future. Jacob and I are a team. We’ll handle it all together.
No matter what.

“We’re going to get in trouble,” Thomas says.
“We are not,” I mumble, ignoring him. Thomas is my younger brother. He’s only three. I’ll be six...well soon.
“We will. Mom said we needed to clean up for the krissy’ing.”
“It’s not krissying. It’s a ba’tismum.”
“It’s silly. They pour water on Hawk!” he exclaims. Hawk is Uncle Dancer’s boy. He’s one-year-old today. He was really sick when he was born, and almost died. Aunt Carrie said she wanted to make sure God knew she was thankful he saved him. Adults are strange.
“Maybe he’s dirty.”
“Jazz said her mom and dad baffed him. She doesn’t like her brother. Says he smells.”
“Jazz is dumb.”
“Her daddy won’t let you say that.”
“He’s not here.”
“What you doing?”
“Watching Gabby.”
“Gabby’s here?”
“Yeah,” I tell him, my eyes glued to the girl we are talking about.
Gabby came with her dad, Skull, and her mom. She’s so pretty. She’s got hair the color of sunshine, and she’s always so sweet. She’s the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen. Prettier than even my mommy. Her skin is lighter than mine. Not as light as Jazz’s is, but it’s her eyes I like the best. They’re dark like mine, but they sparkle.
Thomas is walking to Gabby, so I quickly follow. She looks up at us when we get there and she smiles really big. Thomas sits beside her, so I go to the other side and sit down.
“Hi. I didn’t know you were here,” she says, looking up from where she’s playing with the sand.
“You want ta’ play?” Thomas asks, holding out his favorite purple dinosaur.
“Sure. I got to go soon though. I’m going to Papaw Tucker’s.”
“Why?” I ask. Not wanting her to go. Those big brown eyes of hers jerk up to look at me. Girls usually annoy me, but not Gabby. Gabby is cool. She even likes catching frogs.
“Papá is taking mama on a trip.”
“But not taking you?” I ask, helping her fill up her bucket with sand. Thomas is helping add to it too, while she holds his favorite dinosaur studying everything about it. Thomas must really like Gabby too. He never parts with that dino. I’m the only other one besides dad and mom who has touched it. Gabby looks over at me and shakes her head no.
“No, they celebrating being married.”
“Why do adults celebrate that? It’s silly!” Thomas answers.
“I don’t know,” Gabby says, stretching her arms out and shaking her head. “I guess cause they’re happy. When I grow up I’m going to get married.”
“You are?” Thomas asks. I watch them. I don’t talk as much as Thomas. I like watching. People are interesting.
“Yeah, cause then you can be happy, and have a house, and play all the time. Papá and mama are always playing.”
“What do they play?” I ask, wondering. Dad and mom are happy too, but I don’t know that they ever play. Well, besides with Thomas. I’m too big to play a lot. At six I need to be the big boy and take care of my brother. It might be fun to be married and have someone to play with though. That way I can still be big, but have fun too.
“Papá says they place house.”
“That sounds boring,” Thomas says, and Gabby scrunches up her nose at him.
“You can have fun playing house. You can even be attacked by dinosaurs!” she defends, and I have to admit that does sound like more fun.
“If dinosaurs attack your house, then you will need a strong man to protect you,” I reason.
“I can protect myself,” she says, shaking her head. “I’m a big girl now.”
“You can marry me,” Thomas tells her. “I know everything about dinosaurs! I can help you.”
“But, you’re younger than me. Husbands are ‘posta be older.”
“You can marry me. I’m older and Thomas can stay with us.”
“That’s not fair. I wanna marry too!” Thomas growls, crossing his hands at his chest.
“Cristo Dragon! You keep your sons away from my hija!” Gabby’s dad growls, standing beside me. Dad laughs, and I think he even winks at me. I stand up quickly, and I kick Gabby’s dad. I don’t want her to be kept away from us.
“We like her,” I growl at him. I can growl good. Mom says I growl as much as my Dad.
“Yeah! We like her! She’s kwind!” Thomas says, and he kisses Gabby on the cheek, then hugs her tight. I stand behind them giving her dad the face I always give the other kids when they pick on Thomas because he doesn’t speak real plain sometimes.
“We’re claiming her!” I announce. I heard Dad tell Mom once that since the moment he claimed her he’s been the luckiest man in the world. I don’t understand exactly what it is. I reckon it’s something like asking someone to marry you. Thomas did that, and as brothers we stick together. “She’s ours.”
“Jesus,” Skull growls back and his growl might be louder than Dad’s, but Daddy says we can’t show fear, so I don’t. “Get your niños under control!” He moves around me, trying to grab Gabby, and I move quickly in front of her to block him. Thomas joins me and does his best to give Gabby’s dad, Skull a mean look too. His isn’t as mean, but it’s a little mean. I’ll have to teach him better. For some reason, this makes Dad laugh louder.
“Dragon,” Skull snaps. Dad can’t stop laughing, but he puts his hand on my shoulder and one on Thomas’s and urges us to come to him.
“Dad! We’re keeping her,” I argue.
“Hijo de puta,” Gabby’s dad says, and I don’t know what that means, but it must be a joke cause Dad laughs harder. Skull manages to pick Gabby up, and I hate that I’m so small.
“One day I’ll be bigger and no one will take her away!” I mumble and Dad, even laughing bends down and hugs me and Thomas.
“Yeah Me…me… me…too!” Thomas says, stuttering like he does sometimes when he gets excited. Mom worries about the way he talks, but Dad keeps telling her he’s only three and it will get better. I worry though, because sometimes when we’re alone, Thomas can’t say the right words. He needs me, his big brother to watch out for him.
Skull is walking away with Gabby. Her pretty hair is bouncing with each step. He’s holding her close to his chest and she’s looking back at me, Thomas, and Dad over his shoulder. She’s still holding Thomas’s dinosaur. She drops it with a smile.
“I’ll marry both of you,” she declares and my brother squeals, running to get his dinosaur. I feel happy. Happy and warm. We’re definitely claiming Gabby.
“Christo. I’m never coming back here, Dragon. Never. What the hell are you teaching your chicos?” he mutters, and Dad just laughs harder—especially when Gabby blows us a kiss.
Kisses are yucky…but I think I might like them from her.
A lot.
To be continued way, way into the future.

BONUS SCENE
Dancer & Carrie
“Jacob!” Carrie’s scream carries down the hall and panic wraps around my chest. I’m practically running through the living room and I’ve started down the hall when she slams into my body. I hold
her steady to keep her from falling, my heartbeat going crazy.
“What’s wrong, Care?”
“Jacob you were running,” she says breathless. She looks up at me with her eyes wide and her gorgeous bronze mane of hair framing her face. She looks beautiful, perfect and breathtaking—and most importantly, she doesn’t look like she’s hurt.
“Of course I was running. I walk in the house and heard you yelling my name. I was afraid something was wrong.”
“Wrong? Oh no. It’s not that. And stop yelling, Hawk just fell asleep.”
“You realize Care Bear that you’re yelling louder than I am.”
“I am?” she asks, as if the thought never occurred to her. I find myself grinning.
“What’s going on?”
“The doctor called!”
“And….”
“I’m not pregnant!” she says all excited.
“Is this the same girl that begged me for Hawk?”
“And I love Hawk, but I’m kind of wanting my husband back,” she says and fuck a duck if she doesn’t blush. The fact that she still does that even after all this time gets me every time. I decide to make her admit exactly what she wants.
“Care Bear last I checked, I’ve been with you every damn night.”
“Yeah with me and Hawk.”
“You’re the one who got him used to sleeping with us. I did warn you.”
“I can’t resist him, Jacob. He’s got eyes exactly like his daddy’s.”
I shake my head, though her words remind me that my life is pretty fucking perfect. Perfect and I owe it all to one woman.
“So no more babies?” I ask her, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was a little disappointed. I love Carrie’s body when she’s stretched tight with my child. I love everything about watching my child grow inside of her and the changes she goes through as she prepares to bring our child into this world. Every moment of it is a miracle and a joy that at one time in my life I never thought I’d get to experience.
