“I have captured the rare and extraordinary miniature Earthian female! You are mine forever, now, and you shall be my pet,” he declared theatrically.
“Pet, huh? I’ll show you pet!” she gasped, curling her fingers into claws.
“Oh no! No tickling! I take it back!” he yelled, his eyes widening and his middle tensing up in reaction to her threat.
“I accept your surrender,” she announced, raising her chin haughtily and cocking a brow.
“Besides, pets are better behaved,” he added, twisting around and falling back to the bed with her held securely in his arms.
Mira gasped and popped up to straddle his chest as soon as they stopped bouncing. Zaek didn’t have time to protect himself before she had her damnably nimble fingers dancing up his ribs, sending him into a fit of deep, booming laughter.
If the walls of their quarters weren’t soundproof, anyone who passed and heard them laughing and hollering would probably think they’d lost their senses.
They ended with him over her, covering her small body with his so she was all but hidden to the empty room around them.
Gently brushing the hair off her face, he gazed down at her, at her sparkling blue eyes, her laughing smile, the flush on her cheeks, and the love that shone up at him. Before Mira came into his life, he had not known such happiness was possible. Losing her would have destroyed him.
“I love you, my heart,” he rasped.
He thought he was unfit, defective, and would never find his Hondassa, but he’d been wrong. He was perfect for her, just as she was for him. As the humans say, they were puzzle pieces, lost and missing with no one to fit them, until they found each other.
“I love you, too.” She lifted her head to place a soft, sweet kiss on his lips before lying back down to smirk up at him. “Now come here and remind me what you can do with that tail of yours.”
A shiver worked its way down his spine and a low, hungry groan vibrated his chest.
“Anything for you, Fluffy Bunny.”

She can usually be found dancing like a loon with her child, lost in a book, or frantically typing away on her laptop on her porch swing, trying to get the scenes written before they disappear as quickly as they came.
