A Miami Love Tale 2 : Thugs Need Luv Too
Page 10
I got out of the shower and dried my body off, and threw on a pair of black tights and tank top from Pink, just in case I had to make a pop up. I swear to God, if this nigga wasn’t here by midnight, I was popping my ass up to that studio! What the fuck did he think this was! I never had to pop up on Sincere, but at this point he left me no choice. I sat my ass in my room and watched TV and sure enough, midnight struck and my husband still wasn’t home. I picked my cellphone up from my dresser and called Breesha. I knew her ass would be up.
“Hello,” she said into the phone.
“What are you doing?” I asked her, going into my closet to find my Uggs.
“Nothing, me and Mani at the house, just watching TV,” she told me.
“I’m about to drop Niy off over there. It’s fuckin midnight and Sincere still hasn’t brought his ass home. He didn’t even call a bitch to let me know that he was still alive,” I ranted on.
“Okay bring her, we’ll be here,” Breesha said, and I told her okay before hanging up.
I took my hair out of the scarf and let it flow down my back. I quickly went into the bathroom and gave myself a center part and a little bit of lip gloss. I hated to wake my daughter up for this, but I already made up my mind that I was going to let her stay home from school tomorrow, because I knew she was going to be crying in the morning about being sleepy. I went in her room and turned on her light. Walking over to the bed, I saw that my princess was knocked out. I picked her up and put her over my shoulders and walked with her downstairs. Picking up my purse from off the counter, I deactivated the alarm and was out the door.
12:45 a.m.
I pulled up to the studio and shut the car off. I was pissed that I had to be up at this time of night, but sometimes you have to go to the extreme when it’s your marriage on the line. I walked into the studio, and out in the lobby were a bunch of niggas and bitches just sitting around, talking and smoking. It’s like, shouldn’t they be in their bed or something right now? That wasn’t my business, though! I knew exactly where Sincere would be, so wasn’t no sense in asking anybody where he was–besides, I didn’t want anyone giving his ass a heads up that I was here so he wouldn’t get caught doing whatever it was that he was doing. I walked over to the studio that I knew belonged to Sincere and stood by the door. I watched as he had his back on the wall and some bitch was all in his face, and he looked very comfortable–comfortable in a way like they may have fucked before. The way she was looking at him and vice versa made me think that something maybe going on between the two of them
I watched as she kissed him on his jaw, and he didn’t even flinch. Don’t get me wrong, the bitch was pretty, but let’s be clear here, this bitch couldn’t come for me on my bad days. She was normal height, about 5’5, weighed about 135 pounds, and had beautiful dark skin. He hair was cut into a feathered bob, and she was a wearing a pair of red Robin jeans with a white and red Robin tank. On her feet were pair of white and red Sperry’s. I was gon’ give credit when credit was due. The bitch was bad, point blank period, but I didn’t appreciate her all in my husband’s face.
I cleared my throat and made my presence known in the room. The look on my husband’s face was fuckin priceless. That look alone made me think that his ass just got done fuckin around. Lord knows I’ve seen that look on his face plenty of times over the years. Whenever Sincere would get caught doing some shit he had no business doing, his face would tell his story, and right now, the story that his face was telling was about to write his ass a check that he couldn’t cash.
“I was just riding through the block and I thought, hmm why not surprise my husband, being as though I haven’t seen or heard from his ass all day. So what’s this, Sincere?” I asked, pointing towards his bitch. I mean, clearly she had to be his bitch or something since he was fine with having her ass kiss him on his jaw and shit. Let a nigga even pat my back if I coughed, Sincere would try to kill me and the nigga. I swear to God, when it came to relationships, men had double standards like a motha fucka. They could dish out all the dirt, but as soon as a woman do it, we’ll be every bitch and hoe in the book.
“You told lil mama that you got a whole wife and child at home? No, I bet you didn’t! Because I doubt if a bitch knew you were married that she would be all in your face like that!” I snapped. The bitch didn’t even have the balls to say anything, but I was itching for her ass to even breathe wrong, because I was ready to tag that ass.
“Jasmine, go outside for a second,” my husband said to her, never taking his eyes off me.
“Nah Jasmine, stay your ass right here. You’re a part of this shit too! You made yourself a part of this when you put those dick suckers on his damn face!” I said, walking closer to her. “Sincere told you he was married?” I asked, getting into her face.
“Yeah he told me!” she said, rolling her eyes at me.
“Bitch!” I said, and slapped the shit out of her.
This bitch had me by a whole 15 pounds, but that didn’t mean shit. People underestimated me because I was small, but I don’t care what size you were, I would still get in that ass. I slammed her ass to the ground and just continued to lay blow after blow to her face. I was taking all of my fuckin anger out on her. All them nights I stayed at home waiting on this nigga to come home, I was taking all of that on her. I hated bitches like her. Why fuck with a nigga when you knew up front that he was married?
“Hoes like you make me sick! You knew this nigga was married, yet you still trying to suck his dick!” I yelled as Sincere pulled me off her. At this point, I was too hyped up. I was trying everything in my power to get out of Sincere’s hold, but he wasn’t letting me go for shit.
“Aye Mike, take her outside,” Sincere said, referring to Jasmine.
“Sincere, put me the fuck down! Right fuckin now!” I yelled.
“Brenae, you better calm the fuck down before I fuckin slam your ass! You may have beat her, but you damn sure can’t beat me,” he said into my ear.
I was so fuckin mad that I was crying. I couldn’t believe that Sincere would disrespect our marriage like this. I struggled to get him off me, and then he slammed my back into the wall so hard that I let out a loud cry afterwards.
“Shut the fuck up! I ain’t do shit to your ass yet! Fuck is wrong with you coming down here starting shit like that?” he asked me, pinning my arms down to my side. I didn’t answer him; I just continued to cry.
“Fuck you Sincere. Go back there and get your bitch. I hope it was worth it, because I’m done! I want a divorce!” I cried, shocking myself. I knew I was mad, but I didn’t think that I would go that far and say that I wanted a divorce.
“Till death do us part! You ready to die?” he asked me. The look on his face let me know that he would kill my ass dead if I tried to divorce him.
“I hate you so much Sincere, with your arrogant ass. You only care about your fuckin self! Fuck me and Janiya, right? You don’t even call to see if we were okay, all you care about is this fuckin studio!” I yelled, kicking over the chair that was next to me.
“Man Nae, go on with that shit” he said, finally releasing my arms.
He should have never did that, because I reached back and slapped the dog shit out of him. He grabbed me by my arms and slammed me back into the wall.
“You feeling yourself right now, Nae! I ain’t never lay a hand on your ass before, but slap me like that again and I swear to God, you gon’ be picking your fuckin jaw up off that floor,” he said, and I know he meant every word.
“You fucked that bitch?” I asked, getting all in his face.
“Man, no I didn’t fuck her! That’s my damn artist!” he yelled back.
“So that’s how ya’ll doing it? You let all your artist kiss you on the cheek like that? Let me find out!” I said.
“Nae, take your ass home before I fuck you up for real” he said.
“Nigga fuck you! Until your ass can learn to respect me, I’m done with your ass. Go console your hood rat bitch! I hope I killed tha
t hoe!” I said, and took my ring off and threw it at him.
All of a sudden, Sincere came charging my way, and he slapped me so hard that I fell flat on my ass. I looked at him in shock and started bawling my eyes out. He walked over to me and bent down in front of me and placed the ring back on my finger.
“Take the shit off again, and watch what happens. Take your ass the fuck home Nae, and let you not be there when I get there and watch what happen,” he said, and sat down in one of the chairs.
I stayed my ass right there on that damn floor crying. I was not about to get up no time soon. I was hurt, embarrassed, the whole nine. I couldn’t believe this nigga had actually hit my ass. Since Sincere and I have been together, he has never raised his hand to hit me. Yes, I’ll admit he jacks my ass up every now and then, but that’s as far as that goes. I couldn’t believe that this was the same man that I fell in love with so many years ago that was causing me all of this hurt. I couldn’t believe that this was the same man that vowed to always love me, respect me, and most importantly, to never put his hands on me. I bragged to my friends and my cousins on how I had the perfect husband. I couldn’t even do that anymore, because there wasn’t nothing perfect about a man hitting his wife! I wasn’t about to sit there and make up an excuse for Sincere putting his hands on me. I hated when women did shit like that. Every time a man would hit a woman, the woman would always confess that it was her fault because she provoked him to do it. Sincere fucked up, and he was going to learn the hard way. I wanted him to know that there was going to be major consequences behind his actions. If I let him slide this one time, he may think that it was okay to knock my ass out every chance that he gets.
“Nae, get the fuck up man,” Sincere said to me. I hadn’t even realized that I was still sitting on the floor crying my eyes out. I shook my head no and continued to cry. He sucked his teeth and walked over to me and tried to touch me, but I pushed him away with my feet.
“Don’t touch me Sincere!” I cried, but this time he yanked me up off the floor by the front of my shirt.
“Nae, what the fuck is wrong with you? I’m sorry man. I didn’t mean to hit you, I should have never done that shit,” he said, carrying me in his arms.
I looked into his eyes and for this first time, I could see how stressed he was. I mean shit, I was stressed too! That didn’t mean that I went around hitting people. I hit Sincere because he pissed me off; there was a major difference. A bitch kissed him on his cheek and he didn’t do anything about it, so that slap was long overdue. I eased out of his arms and headed for the door.
“Nae,” Sincere called after me. I looked at him, but didn’t bother to answer him. “I’m not playing, take your ass home,” he said.
I left out of the studio and walked to my car. I cried the whole way back over to Breesha’s and Mani’s house. I had my key, so I opened the door and went into the guest room with my daughter. I kicked off my boots and cried myself to sleep. I knew after this incident that my marriage would never be the same. I’m not going to even sit here and say that I was going to leave Sincere, because me and everybody else knew that wasn’t going to happen, but I am going to teach his ass a lesson, though. As for that Jasmine chick, she better hope that I don’t see her ass on the streets, because I want my second round with that hoe!
Chapter 17: Nae
I woke up the next morning to a banging ass headache. I guess this is the shit that happens when you cry yourself to sleep. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth with the toothbrush that I kept over here and washed my face. Looking into the mirror, I couldn’t help but notice that that glow that I always sported was now gone. In fact, I looked like I was miserable. From all of the crying that I did last night, now my eyes were red and puffy, as well as my nose. Shaking those ill thoughts off, I threw my hair in a high bun and headed downstairs.
“Hey Mommy,” my daughter said, getting up from the table and coming over to hug me. I picked her up and kissed her on the lips, and patted her butt to tell her to go finish eating. I then joined Mani on the couch.
“Girl you look like shit,” Imani told me. I waved her off and focused my attention on the TV. “What happened when you went over there anyway?” she asked me.
I told her what happened and when I got to the middle of the story, Breesha had come down and I had to start all over again. By the time I was finished, I was back to crying again. Funny, because I wasn’t a cry baby by a long shot; I guess I just thought Sincere’s days of cheating on me were over. Plus, I couldn’t help but wonder if something would have transpired between Jasmine and Sincere last night had I not came to the studio. What I couldn’t understand though, was the fact that Sin was shocked that I beat Jasmine’s ass. I mean, what the fuck did he think I was going to do when I walked in on the two of them being too damn close to comfort? I couldn’t help but think that maybe this was karma from giving Chris my number that night at the beach.
“Ya’ll both were in the wrong though, Nae. Yes, he shouldn’t have had that bitch all in his face like that, and you should have never hit him, then he wouldn’t have hit you,” Breesha let me know once I finished with my story. I was taken aback by her saying that, because how the fuck was I in the wrong by spazzing out when I saw a bitch all in my husband’s face?
“So let’s see if Dontae slap the shit out of you, will you still be singing the same tune!” I fussed.
“I don’t put my hands on Dontae, so I’ll never know,” she smirked.
“Fuck you, man,” I said, and sucked my teeth.
She laughed at me and said, “Bitch don’t take that shit out on me because you took your ass down there thinking you was damn Floyd Mayweather and ended up getting your ass smacked the fuck up,” Breesha said, going into the kitchen.
I wanted to curse her ass out but I didn’t want to curse in front of my daughter, so I politely flipped her ass off. I picked my daughter up from the chair and carried her upstairs. I put on her shoes and put my boots back on. We headed downstairs and Breesha stopped me saying, “You coming over this weekend to help me and Mani move out?” she asked.
“Hell no! Bye,” I said, walking towards the door.
“Bye girl, with your miserable ass. Call me later,” she said.
I jumped into my car and drove home. Sincere had been blowing up my phone since last night with text messages, missed calls, and voicemails. I knew I was going to hear his mouth as soon as I stepped foot in the door, because the texts and voicemails that he was leaving me weren’t friendly at all. Sincere knew where the fuck I was at last night, so if he wanted me home that bad, he would have come and got my ass. This is the shit that I be talking about! I felt like Sincere didn’t fight for our marriage the way that I fought for it. I knew I wanted him home last night, which is why I went to the studio. I had plans on bringing him home last night when I got there; I didn’t expect that I was going to have to bring these hands from out of retirement. Ten minutes later, we were pulling up and I shut the car off, and got my baby from the back. I walked into the house, and I could hear the TV on in the den.
“Hey Daddy,” my daughter said, jumping into her father’s arm.
“Hey princess, where were you? I missed you!” he said, burning a hole at me with his eyes. He knew damn well were I was, so I don’t know why he would even ask my daughter that dumb shit.
“Auntie Breesha and Auntie Mani’s house,” she said, wrapping her tiny arms around his neck.
“Niy, come on so you can take a bath,” I told my daughter.
“I’ll be right back Daddy,” she told Sincere, and then kissed his cheek.
I took my daughter upstairs and ran her a bath. After the water was ready, I let her get into the tub. I sat on the edge of the toilet seat and watched as my daughter bathed herself.
“You know you don’t have to stay in here Mommy? I’m a big girl!” my daughter let me know, matter of factly.
I laughed and had to do a double take at my daughter. I’m sorry, but I’ll be damned if I
leave my daughter in the tub by herself. All these kids drowning in pools and tubs nowadays–so no, I was going to stay my ass right here. I was very overprotective of Niy, and I wasn’t willing to make that one mistake that could cause my daughter her life. Lord know that I would lose my mind if something were to happen to my baby. Every move I made was for her. Hell, she was the reason why I got my ass up every day and took my ass to sleep at night. That little girl was my everything, and I wanted to do everything in my power to make sure that I gave her the world.
“Niy hurry up so I can go take my shower,” I told her.
Ten minutes later, she stood up and I let the water out of the tub. I wrapped the towel around her, and put her Frozen stool in front of the sink so that she could brush her teeth. When she was finished, I dried her off, put on her baby lotion and powder, and threw on her pink Polo dress.
“I’m going to take a shower Janiya, so if you need me, I’ll be in the room,” I said, kissing her cheek.
“Mommy, later on today can we go see the new Cinderella movie?” she asked me, hugging my waist. Since I didn’t have class tonight, I figured that I might as well. Besides, I didn’t want to be nowhere near Sincere, so I figured I may as well have a day out with my daughter.
“Anything for my princess,” I told her.
“Thanks, love you Mommy,” she said.
“I love you too.”
I went into my bedroom and walked inside of my walk-in closet to find me something to wear. I pulled out a pair of my high waisted jeans from Armani Exchange, and it dropped to the floor as I searched my shirt section to find me a shirt to throw on with it. When I went to pick it up, I felt my husband’s presence towering over me.
“I thought I told your ass to come home last night,” he said, picking the jeans up for me. I turned around and looked at him like he had lost his damn mind. You know how many times I told him to bring his ass home and he didn’t? So what makes him think that I was going to listen to his ass? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!
