“Paramedics. We need a paramedic,” Milton yelled and Bill spoke into his wrist mic.
“Okay, baby, what hurts worst?” Nevin asked her as he went into medic mode.
She lifted hands up that were shaking profusely.
“Jesse? Is Jesse okay?” was all she asked about. Not a care for herself or what she went through.
“He’s fine, baby, it’s you we’re worried about. What hurts worst?” Nevin asked and pulled the jacket away that covered her body. She was black and blue along her thighs, her arms, and her breasts. Her lips were swollen and split, her cheek bones black and blue, too, and there were finger marks on her throat. Nevin felt sick.
“I should have killed that bastard,” he said.
Carina’s knuckles were split open and bleeding from striking Steven and fighting him off. Her head injury was Nevin’s biggest concern as he began to look into her eyes.
“Is she okay?” Jack came running over. He had helped one of the other teams of federal agents raid the small cottages around the area where these men were staying the night after they partook in the order’s party.
“What the fuck happened?” Jack asked and knelt down and caressed her shoulder. She blinked her eyes open.
“Jack,” she whispered and then cringed.
“We’ll talk about it later. She’s okay, that’s what matters,” Nevin said.
Milton locked gazes with Jack, who squinted at him.
“Do you believe this sick shit?” Jack asked Milton and he looked around them, too.
“Her pupils are dilated. I think she has a concussion,” Nevin told them and then the paramedics got there. He asked for what he needed and Milton watched, knowing Carina was in great hands with Nevin.
He looked around them as the chaos continued and he took in the sight. Prostitutes were being arrested, men arrested, too, including the local sheriff and the town board members. There had to be at least sixty men there all being taken in. The sick fucks wore deep burgundy robes that showed off bare chests and it looked like they only wore boxers underneath them.
The sight before him of food, alcohol, and women made him feel like he entered some prehistoric cavemen celebration. Where women were only good for sex and to appease a man’s appetite. These gluttons should be hog tied and placed over a fire pit to burn in hell for what they did and were doing. To know that this type of organization had functioned for years, that they were more than likely responsible for the murders of those innocent young woman, and that Carina was next, had him nearly throwing up his insides.
He looked at Carina. Her eyes were closed and they were getting her onto the gurney.
They could have lost her today. The fact that she was able to get away from this town, these evil men the way she did was a damn miracle. She deserved nothing but pampering and love after all this abuse and trauma.
He and his brothers were going to love her, cherish her, and respect her for the rest of their lives, but looking around this room, and knowing what these men did, would haunt his dreams forever.
“Milton,” Nevin said his name and Milton looked at his brother. He knew that he had anger and tears in his eyes and Nevin swallowed hard and nodded. He looked at Jack and gave his brother’s shoulder a squeeze.
“We got to her in time. We saved her. Let’s just focus on that and love her.”
Milton and Jack nodded and the three of them hurried up to follow the ambulance and escort Carina to the local hospital.
Epilogue
Carina slowly walked into Jesse’s hospital room. She hadn’t even gone home to change or shower as Nevin and Milton wanted her to. Instead they traveled for hours by car to finally get to Repose and to see Jesse. He was her only focus. She needed to see him and know that he was okay.
Jack held her by her waist and guided her toward the bed where Nevin and Milton stood.
“He’s doing well. I think if he keeps this up he’ll be coming home to rest within the week,” Nevin told them and then put his medical chart back into the holder at the foot of the bed.
“Has he woken up at all?” Carina asked, feeling the tears roll down her cheeks. She walked next to the bed and stared at him. He had a huge bandage on his shoulder, bruising that ran along his neck and shoulder from behind him, probably from when those men hit him with the tire iron. She cringed and sniffled then felt the large hands on her shoulders.
“He’s okay, baby. I promise,” Jack whispered and then kissed her shoulder.
She wiped her eyes and willed herself not to cry. It made that constant headache she had from the concussion feel ten times worse.
Just then Jesse began to open his eyes. As they landed on her, they widened.
“Carina,” he said and lifted up then winced and lowered down. Nevin placed his hands on Jesse’s chest.
“Don’t move around so fast. Take your time. She’s okay. I told you that she would be here soon,” Nevin said and smiled.
Jesse licked his dry lips.
“You’re all banged up, baby. What did they do to you?” he asked her.
She lowered down and kissed his lips and then laid her head on his uninjured shoulder.
“It doesn’t matter. I’m here now. I love you, Jesse, I’m so sorry they hurt you because of me.
“No, baby, it wasn’t your fault. I never should have stopped,” he said to her.
She inhaled his scent, which was combined with the hospital smell, and she hated that. She wanted to just smell Jesse’s cologne and nothing else.
“Well, I guess if you hadn’t, then you would have had me against your truck like you promised,” she whispered, but apparently loud enough for the others to hear.
“What?” Milton asked.
“Yeah, I’d like to know more about this promise,” Jack asked with his hands on his hips, his one hand resting on his holster and looking Carina over.
She chuckled and kissed Jesse’s lips and then lifted up to caress his hair.
She held his gaze.
“Just a small promise of immense pleasure from Jesse that I expect him to come through on as soon as he’s all better.”
“Come on up here right now and I’ll show you how good I feel because of you,” he said to her and she felt her cheeks warm.
“There’ll be none of that for either of you,” Nevin scolded and they all chuckled.
She looked at them and she couldn’t help but to smile, bruises and all.
“I heard your grandparents are okay. That was good news to hear,” Jesse said to her.
“Yes, and they’re looking forward to meeting you,” she told him.
“I can’t wait,” he said and winked.
Her four men were all there, all gathered together in support of one another and in a bond that stood against some of the purest evil she had ever known of. She tried not to think about the violence, the other young women who were killed, or the possibilities of the violence that could have been inflicted upon her by a group of sixty men. Instead, she leaned on her four sexy strong men. She trusted them, she loved them, and they loved her, battle wounds and all. The danger appeared to be behind them, with all the men arrested and charged for various crimes, and the gift the Feds had found as they looked for evidence in the homes and work place of the main members of the order. The fact that the sheriff kept souvenirs of items belonging to each of the murdered victims was a huge break for the Feds. It also led to the sheriff ratting out every man and woman who helped him or was a part of the organization and the killings. None of those men would see beyond a prison cell for quite some time.
She shivered with the fear she would probably have for a while, but then felt Jack pulling her back against his chest and hugging her softly.
“The two of you need to focus on recovering quickly. That way we can be home in one another’s arms, loving you and cherishing you the way you deserve,” Jack told her. He suckled a sensitive spot on her neck and she smiled as she held his hands and leaned back against him.
“Plus we
have a lot of work to do in the bedroom upstairs,” Milton said to her.
“What do you mean?” she asked.
“You guys be sure to get her input. It’s going to be her bedroom as much as ours, but don’t let her make it girly,” Jesse said to them.
She knew what they were talking about. That special room where they first made love. The room they intended on completing with their wife. She swallowed hard.
“As soon as Jesse is ready we’ll do this together,” Nevin said and walked closer to Carina. He took her hand and pulled her close. He slowly wrapped his arm around her waist, being gentle and cognizant of her bruises and injuries she was recovering from.
“We love you, baby, with all our hearts. We want you to move in with us and start a life together with us. Right away,” he added and winked.
She smiled wide, her cheeks felt flush and she thought that Nevin looked so sexy and handsome right now.
“I want that, too, and I love the four of you so much. You saved me,” she said and then hugged Nevin tightly and he caressed her back and her ear.
When he pulled back, Milton reached out to take her hand and brought it to his lips and kissed her knuckles.
“She needs rest and pampering. Can the three of you handle that for another day and until I’m set free?” Jesse said. They laughed and Carina gave him a smile.
“You better take your time, Jesse. You were shot. That’s serious,” she said to him.
“It wasn’t the first time, sugar. I’ll be just fine,” he admitted and she was shocked.
“You were shot before?” she asked him.
“Oh, brother, here he goes building up the macho stuff. Don’t give him so much sympathy, it will go to his head,” Milton teased.
She held Jesse’s gaze.
“I guess there’s still a lot for us to learn about one another,” she added.
Milton ran his hand along her waist and then up over her breast, cupping the mound.
“And we’ll have all the time we need exploring every inch of this sexy body.”
“Oh, yeah, I miss the sound of my woman screaming for more,” Jesse said and gave her a wink.
She lowered her eyes and Nevin cupped her chin.
“Don’t worry, Jesse, we’ll keep her very busy and even teach her how to take the top position so that when you get home, she can take care of you right,” Nevin told her and then leaned forward and gingerly kissed her lips.
“Fuck, Nevin, that’s just messed up. I’m laying here in pain and now have a fucking hard on,” Jesse said, complaining.
Nevin released her lips and smiled. He turned to look at Jesse.
“Which will be even sweeter when you get home and Carina relieves that deep discomfort.”
“Only if he behaves and does as the doctor orders,” she added and pointed at Jesse.
“Damn, is this how it’s going to be? When one of us is a little under the weather, you all take our wife’s side?” Jesse asked. Carina was shocked.
“Wife?” she asked.
Nevin wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight.
“Of course, baby, we’ve been waiting a long time for you to come into our lives. We love you Carina, and went to spend the rest of our lives with you.”
“I love you, too,” she said. She couldn’t help but get emotional just thinking how lucky she truly was—to not only wind up in a place a perfect as Repose, but to win the love of four amazing men who were going to be her husbands.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.
My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.
Being that my momma’s families were descendants of the original English speaking Southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.
Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true Southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.
Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.
