Before Red stepped out of the condo, he glanced back up at that small hole in the ceiling and he had a vision of how Carlos and his boy pulled up and murdered Cross execution style. He shook his head as he closed the door behind him. Now he wanted that nigga just as bad as he wanted Justice.

“I’m up in here all the time.” Kim bragged as she and Chris stepped into BobCutz. “Deb always make sure my shit tight.”

Chris nodded her head. She liked Kim and felt a closer friendship with her than she had thought she would. Probably because Chris and Kim were a lot alike. They both liked money.

Kim wasted no time in pointing niggas out as they walked towards the back of the shop. “That second nigga right there—” She pointed to the young man in an orange barber jacket with baggy blue jeans, “That’s War. His uncle, Carlos, owns the place. And them niggas look just alike, too, you’ll see,” Kim rambled.

Chris made a mental note of War’s features for future reference.

“And that old man sittin’ on dat ugly ass green chair is Luther, he runs the place. The man sitting next to him with the long locks is Supreme—he always in here. He talk a lotta shit, but he perfectly harmless,” Kim said with confidence. She just didn’t know how ruthless ‘Preme really was. “And the nigga in the wheelchair that look like he could be Chucky’s daddy is Scarface.”

Chris shook her head at Kim’s description of Face. However, she had to admit, those facial features and that scar definitely put him in the running to play “Who’s the Father” on The Maury Povich Show.

“What up, Kim?” Carlos asked as he walked up behind them. He had just entered the shop. He and Kim hugged and then Carlos stepped back and admired her for a minute. Then he looked over at the fine stranger standing beside her.

“Hey Carlos. I didn’t see you come in.” Kim spoke. She saw him scoping out Chris so she made an impromptu introduction, “this my friend Jasmine. She just moved here from Alabama.” Chris was impressed at how quickly Kim had changed her name and came up with a lie about who she was and what she was doing with her. Kim had definitely won some brownie points with her for that. Carlos extended his hand to shake Chris’ and she obliged.

“You gettin’ that ‘do’ did today?” Carlos asked, not really caring because he was still checking out Chris’s thick thighs in the short skirt she was wearing.

“Nah, not today. I just wanted to bring Jasmine by to check out the place so she can make an appointment to get her locks twisted.” Kim lied.

“Oh okay, that’s what’s up. I’ll holla at ‘cha.” Carlos said, and then added. “Nice to meet you Jasmine. Hope I see more of you.” The flirtatiousness in his voice was hard to miss.

Chris smirked. “Oh, I’m sure you will.” she replied.

After the brief exchange, Carlos walked off and headed towards his office while Face rolled his wheelchair to the back after him. Chris did a double take between Carlos and War and noticed that Kim was on point when it came to describing their looks. She had taken in everyone in the shop from the young receptionist at the front to the baller who had just graced her with his presence. From what Red and Kim had already told her about Carlos she knew he wasn’t gonna be an easy mark, but she figured with the proper planning, she and Red could pull it off and probably end up with some paper as well.

  CHAPTER NINETEEN

Normally, Tan would have had one of her workers serve Loon, but she decided that she would meet Loon herself this time. She had visited Club Nikki’s, a popular strip club off Little Rock Road. There, she befriended a dancer that called herself Honey because of her moist-looking D-cups and cinnamon colored ass that had niggas licking their lips every time she graced the stage. Her curly, blonde-streaked hair had her looking exotic.

Tan had put a couple of hundred dollars on a pre-paid debit card and sent Honey to check into a hotel on Sugar Creek and she began to put her plan into action.

Honey was the type of chick that was down for whatever and thirsty as hell for dough. Besides, she was no stranger to getting involved in some grimy shit! In fact, the grimier the better. No one expected a chick that looked like Lisa Raye in the face, but had a body like the porn star Pinky, to be up to anything scandalous other than fucking for a buck.

Once at the room, they stepped out of the rental and Tan popped the trunk. She grabbed two large suitcases and handed Honey a traveling bag and a suitcase of her own to carry. She followed Honey into the hotel room and immediately went to work. Honey went into the bathroom to change into her outfit and Tan focused on taking down the hotel’s stale white curtains and putting up a mesh purple set she had gotten at Wal-Mart. She pulled the sheets off the King-sized bed and put on a foam mattress pad and white fitted mattress sheet that she had gotten from Bed Bath & Beyond. Then she put on a purple and crème sheet set that she had also gotten from Wal-Mart. After fixing the bed, she took the light bulbs out and replaced the white lights with blue ones. Once she finished, Tan sat on the bed, picked up the remote, and set the channel to BET. When she looked up, she saw Honey walking out of the bathroom in a French maid outfit.

“How a bitch look?” Honey asked as she modeled her outfit for Tan. Tan licked her lips, but remembered that this outfit was for Loon, not for her.

“You good, babe,” Tan said, letting the stripper know she was pleased. At that moment, the Loony Tunes ringtone blared and she put her finger up to her lips to tell Honey to be quiet. “Where you at?” she spoke.

“I’m getting off the Sugar Creek exit now. I should be there in a few minutes; traffic fucked up.”

“Cool,” Tan said as she gave him the dial tone. Meanwhile, Honey was cleaning up the room, setting up the air fresheners, and creating the perfect ambience for Loon. “Remember what I told you. Follow the script, boo boo.”

  “No doubt.”

Tan got up and gave Honey a hug, squeezing her ass a little. She shook her head, knowing that she would never be able to grab a piece of that again. She exited the room.

  ***

Loon knocked on the door and Honey opened it. Loon stared at the girl, momentarily dazed. Honey licked her lips and curled her fingers, enticing Loon to follow her inside. “Welcome to the Sex Room,” she cooed. Honey stepped aside and watched as Loon waddled in and took off his jacket. His rank smell offended her, but like a true actor, she kept the charade going, pretending she didn’t notice. “Why don’t you take a shower and loosen up while I finish cleaning up?”

“A shower? Fuck I’mma take a shower for.” Loon laughed as he walked around the room, checking shit out.

“Tan told me to take care of you. But if you in a hurry . . .” She let her words trail off.

“Business first, shawty. Money over bitches all day,” Loon lied.

Honey smirked. “Tan havin’ your work put in the trunk right now.”

Loon peeked out of the window and saw a man taking out the bag of money and placing the familiar looking duffel bag full of yayo in its place. Loon smiled at the thought of how much profit he was gonna make off the twenty keys. At ease that everything was going smoothly and that Tan had set him up with a sexy ass bonus as well, he wasted no time taking off his clothes. He was anxious as hell and silently thanking Tan for setting this shit up.

Once Loon was in the shower, Honey stepped to the window and gave the signal for Tan to come to the room. Tan was back in the room in less than two minutes. Seeing that Loon was still in the shower, she had changed into a khaki-colored trench coat. Underneath, she was rocking a purple leather Teddy that matched the décor of the room. Her gloves and her boots gave her the ultimate dominatrix look. She looked at the chilled bucket of chanpagne on the counter next to the nightstand and smiled at Honey. “Thanks, babe.” Tan took out three one hundred dollar bills and placed them in Honey’s garter.

Tan had opened her trench and smiled when Loon stepped out of the bathroom with an extra large towel wrapped around his waist.

“Surprise!” Tan yelled excitedly as she dr
opped her trench coat, revealing her dominatrix outfit to Loon.

“I’ll be got-damned!” Loon responded in shock. “I heard your ass was a freak, but I didn’t think it was true.” Loon was shocked beyond belief at the fact that he was about to fuck Tan’s fine ass.

“Well” Tan played coy even though she was repulsed by the comment. “Let’s just say money makes me cum and you’ve been makin’ a bitch plenty of that. So I just thought I’d show my appreciation.”

“That’s what I’m talking about.” Loon dropped his towel, showing off his thumb-sized erection peeking through the hair and fat. Tan and Honey tried not to laugh.

“Babe, won’t you give us a minute.” Tan told Honey and watched as she stepped into the bathroom. “Let’s get on the bed,” Tan said seductively as she crawled on one side and Loon fell on the other side. She handed Loon a glass and she took one and poured both of them some of the chilled champagne. “To gettin’ money . . . and gettin’ bad bitches.” She nodded toward the bathroom where Honey had gone. “And many more to come,” she added. They toasted and both of them downed their first glass. Tan refilled both glasses and she sipped hers slowly while she watched Loon down his like a glass of water. Repulsed, Tan refilled Loon’s glass while putting hers down. As Loon downed his third glass, Tan started playing with his dick, wanting to laugh at how firm the tiny dick got in her hand. As she stroked, she realized that the head peeked past her hand just slightly and that Loon was leaking pre-cum. Fortunately, her hands didn’t have to touch it as she was still wearing her gloves.

“Damn, girl. Yeah, stroke that big muthaucka,” Loon moaned as Tan continued to stroke him with one hand and reached under the pillow and pulled out three small syringes filled with rat poison and battery acid with the other. She switched hands and lowered her face to his dick as if she were going to give him a blowjob. “I’mma get you ready for my girl.”

“Hell yeah, suck this shit,” Loon commanded, not believing his luck. He couldn’t wait to get back to the ATL and brag about this shit to his niggas. He had his eyes closed in ecstasy, so he didn’t see when she grabbed the syringes. However, he felt the sting as she jabbed him in his ass with all three needles simultaneously and pressed the caps, releasing the poison. Tan jumped up from the bed and watched as Loon’s eyes widened in disbelief. He didn’t know what was happening to him as he felt his blood begin to warm in his veins. The acid was already eating away at his arteries.

“You mutha-fuckin’ bitch!” He foamed at the mouth while attempting to get up and reach for Tan, but his movements were slow as his circulation weakened. Loon rolled off the side of the bed and went into convulsions as the deadly combination sent him into immediate cardiac arrest.

Tan watched as he took his last exasperated breath. “I told you in the beginning, fat muthafucka . . . fuck with my money and you’d have to leave the country or leave this world. You had a choice to take a journey or take a gurney! Guess you chose the gurney, bitch!”

Just then, Honey came out the bathroom and saw Loon’s body lying on the floor with his eyes rolled into the back of his head and foam oozing out the side of his mouth. She let out a shrill scream that was quickly muffled by Tan’s hand.

“Bitch, be the fuck quiet!” Tan snapped. “You just as much a part of this shit as I am.”

Honey’s eyes were wide in disbelief as Tan’s hand slowly eased from her mouth. Honey was slowly shaking her head from side to side as if in shock. She mumbled, “You didn’t say nothing about killin’ nobody. I thought we was robbin’ him.”

Tan looked her square in the eyes and calmly replied, “We did rob him . . . for his life.” She knew she couldn’t let Honey leave the room after witnessing this.

Honey was still in shock as Tan walked behind her and coughed into her hand once, spitting out her signature razor. She reached around and promptly sliced Honey’s throat with the precision of a surgeon just the way she had done Monk.

Satisfied that her crew had cleaned the hotel room in record time and properly disposed of Loon’s and Honey’s bodies and Loon’s car, Tan called it a night and decided to go home.

When she walked in her house, she saw To’Wanda sitting on the couch reading a novel. She leaned over her and kissed her on the lips.

“How was your day?” To’Wanda asked, picking up a bookmark to hold her place.

“I feel so much better, like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.” Tan exhaled as she thought of Loon’s last moments and was convinced that she had made the right decision. “And in two days, I’mma be able to sleep like a fuckin’ baby.”

“I just want you to be careful,” To’Wanda said cautiously.

Tan looked at her like she was crazy. “What? Me be careful? Chile please!”

  “I’m serious.”

“That bitch a lightweight just like her brother was.”

To’Wanda exhaled, as she knew that arguing with Tan would be useless. She saw how happy Tan was when she walked in the house and decided not to mess up the mood. She knew that Tan wanted nothing else in the world than to be rid of Justice, and the sooner that happened, the happier they both would be.

  CHAPTER TWENTY

When Lil’ Joe walked into BobCutz to meet with Carlos. His uniform was dirty from helping with a few tows that he had made in the area and he was tired as hell. He made his way to the back where the fellas were sitting down. He walked past Preme’s chair, observed that he still hadn’t cut the locs, but he was just hogging another seat and Lil’ Joe shook his head. He noticed Preme grilling him and squinting his eyes real low.

Lil’ Joe kept it moving because he wanted to catch Carlos in his office so he could handle his business and be out. Truthfully, even though he had asked Carlos to put him on, he only trusted Carlos as far as he could see him.

Lil’ Joe knocked on the door and didn’t get an answer. He looked at his watch and noticed that he was on time so he decided to knock again. He turned around when he heard Face rolling past him and then Preme hobbled by as he opened the door without knocking and saw that Carlos was on the phone. “You still a bitch nigga,” Preme hissed as he walked past Lil’ Joe and took a seat across from Carlos at his desk. Lil’ Joe walked in behind Preme.

“Fuck you say, nigga?” Joe wanted Preme to repeat himself. He walked in and took the next available seat across from Carlos’s desk. “I don’t like you and I don’t trust you. That’s what the fuck I said, nigga. Straighten it.”

“Fuck you, clown,” Lil’ Joe said in a voice no higher than a murmur as he leaned forward in the seat. Lil Joe knew Preme never really liked him. Moreover, it all stemmed from a no good ass bitch who they were both fucking back in the day. Sabrina, the bitch who had initially gotten the war started between them and Monk when she had told Carlos that she had seen Cross at the park with Monk and D.C. Throughout the years, that animosity just seemed to grow like the snowball effect. Preme had been more than happy once Lil’ Joe had called himself getting out of the game. Now that he was back on the team, Preme was salty because his paper was growing like grass.

“Don’t let the third leg fool ya, nigga. I’ll still wipe this floor wit’ yo’ ass.” Preme kept the beef going.

Lil’ Joe got up and stood over Preme, looking down on him. He wanted to punch the nigga in his grill, but instead, he kicked Preme’s cane across the room. Not satisfied, Lil’ Joe picked Preme up from his seat and tried to body slam him on Carlos’s desk, but Face was holding on to Preme’s leg. Carlos reached over his desk to break the two of them up.

“Both of y’all chill the fuck out!” Carlos bellowed, not caring if the customers in the lobby could hear him. He’d gotten between Preme and Lil’ Joe, pushing both of them to opposite ends of the room. War had entered the room and quickly rushed to hold Lil’ Joe back while Carlos maintained a grip on Preme. “Just chill the fuck out.”

Carlos was frustrated because Lil’ Joe, Preme, and Face weren’t the same obedient niggas he knew two years
ago, and even though he knew he couldn’t make the three of them like one another, he hated to see his old crew fall apart. He needed all three of them to be cohesive and bond like glue in order for his team to coexist.

Preme laughed after Carlos loosened up his grip. He reached in his pocket and tossed something to Lil’ Joe. Lil’ Joe caught it and looked down at it. It was a .45 caliber bullet. “The next one ain’t comin’ outta my hand, nigga. Trust that,” Preme taunted.

Carlos sent Preme out the office with War and closed the door. Preme was still talking loud in the hallway. “I’mma end up sendin’ that nigga to hell just like his partna.”

“Yo, shut the fuck up!” Carlos yelled, realizing that Preme had just confirmed Lil’ Joe’s suspicion. He looked at Joe and tried to read any expression indicating that he was listening to what Preme was saying. Joe acted like he hadn’t heard him because his expression hadn’t changed and Carlos was hoping that was the case. Joe was sarcastically smirking while looking at the bullet Preme had tossed him.

“I brought y’all niggas back together ‘cause I thought we could go back to gettin’ money like we used to. But if y’all wanna go to war with each other, do that shit in the streets and not in my muthafuckin’ office. Stupid ass niggas.”

Lil’ Joe reached in both of his pockets, slammed two knot-fulls of money on the desk, and reached in his waist for the paper bag full of money he’d stuffed in his pants. “Here go yo’ muthafuckin’ money, nigga. Y’all niggas ain’t shit.” He nodded his head slowly with fire in his eyes.
