Lush Curves (Dangerous Curves Book 8)
Page 15
He lowered her underwear over her lush thighs, down her legs, over her delicate feet. She was naked and glowing, arching and trembling, and he’d never seen anything so beautiful. He wanted her. Fuck, he needed her.
Sam ran his hands up the inside of her legs, past her knees. He touched the soft inside of her thighs, pressed them open, and damned if Annie didn't spread her legs open to him, just open up like a dewy flower. He touched her sex with his palms, completely covering her hot, pulsing centre. She let out a strangled sound, deep in her throat.
He rose up now, kissed her. She twined her arms around his neck and opened her mouth against his as his fingers started to tease her. He ran them up and down her pussy, avoiding her clit, just skimming around it. Her honey was all over his fingers and he loved it, wanted to taste it.
“Annie, baby... I want you to feel good.”
“I do feel good.”
He smiled and kissed her mouth, then her eyelids. “You can feel better.”
Her smile was radiant. “OK, then. Show me, handsome.”
Sam moved down her body, kissing her breasts, her stomach, the tops of her thighs. Gently, he turned her on the sofa. She sat up, her back pressed against the sofa behind her and her legs dangling on the floor. He knelt between her open thighs, lifted her legs on to his broad shoulders, wrapped them around his neck. She sobbed as his mouth moved closer to her hot sex, then closer.
Sam closed his eyes at the taste of her. Sweet, hot, pure. Perfect. He opened her lips and found the hard nub of her desire – he pressed his tongue against it, circled it, took it between his lips and gently pulled at it. Annie’s hips raised off the sofa and he grasped her under her generous ass. He lifted her closer, higher and sucked her clit without mercy.
Annie couldn’t believe how it felt: his hot mouth lapped her and licked her, his tongue penetrated her in the most amazing way. She was in the air, her hands holding on to the back of Sam’s neck, her whole body concentrated on what he was doing between her legs. She arched her back.
My God, I’m going to come already.
She felt the waves growing with his every thrust, every touch, and she shuddered. His head was moving between her legs, and she ran her fingers through his thick dark hair, directing him for her pleasure. She was shameless now, lifting her hips up, higher and higher, straining to be closer to his mouth, to his tongue. He burrowed deeper into her wet pussy, sucking her clit, loving her every moan and movement.
Annie closed her eyes as the spasms grew and strengthened; here it came, now. Her body lit up: the ripples of light started in her pulsating center and moved outwards, down her thighs and legs, all the way to her curling toes. Her chest caught fire and her fingertips tingled. And still, it built.
She was sobbing now. “I can’t – I can’t take it… Sam, please!”
He responded by pressing his tongue against her delicate pearl, wet and dripping against his lips, as hard as he could. It sent an electric current through Annie’s body and she exploded, completely. She jerked wildly on the sofa, fighting to keep her legs spread, and he coated his lips with her sweet essence; she knew he could feel every vibration, every shock-wave.
Her body went limp and she gasped for breath. Sam rose on his knees and kissed her, and his passion sparked hers again. She tugged at the towel, threw it to the floor next to her bra and panties. He almost growled when she ran her fingers over his hardness. He wasn’t interested in any more preliminaries: watching her come was more than enough to turn him on, almost to the point of pain.
He pulled her unresisting body to the carpetted floor, turned her on her stomach. She lay trembling, waiting for him to put on the condom and then take her. Sam ran his hands down her spine, around her waist, and then lifted her full hips up and back, raised her into the air. She leaned on her elbows, her forehead pressed to the carpet, barely breathing.
He lifted her more, ran his finger up and down her sex, opening her wider to receive him. Annie gave a small shriek and thrust her hips back, begging now for him to be inside of her.
“You feel so good,” he said in a low voice. “You are the fucking hottest woman I have ever known… you make me crazy. I love you, princess. I love you.”
And Annie believed him – she did. She was almost fifty, she was with a man fifteen years younger, she was jiggly and scarred from childbirth and her tummy sagged... and with Sam, for Sam, she was a goddess. She was all that he wanted. She was his.
She was his princess. She believed it now, in her blood and bones and heart.
Wild with impatience and need, done waiting for his moment, he pushed himself inside of her, all in one movement, as deep inside her as he could go, buried to the hilt. She exhaled sharply, pressed her ass back against his thighs, taking him even deeper. He groaned, pulled back almost to the tip of his cock, plunged in again. And again. And again. And again. He held her hips and just thrust and thrust, barely hearing Annie's rising cries, feeling nothing except her sex, hot and sweet and pulsing, so wet and welcoming.
One final thrust – as deep as he could go – and Sam came, hard. He jerked and cried out, his broad chest heaving; he didn’t think he’d ever stop coming. As his vision cleared, he saw that she writhed beneath him, close but still not coming, needing just a bit more, and he reached under her, found her swollen clit. As she started to come, he rolled it between his fingers.
Annie screamed, exploding for the second time in as many minutes. Her arms shook and she collapsed, stars bursting in front of her eyes. If Sam hadn’t been grasping her hips and massaging her pussy, she’d have landed flat on her face. She trembled all over, as weak as a woman with a raging fever, fighting to get back up on her elbows.
"I love you," she managed to say between gasps, between sobs. "Sam, I love you."
"Oh, God, Annie. I love you too. So, so damn much."
Annie pushed up a bit, but her arms were still shaking hard, and she almost fell again. Sam leaned forward and gently hooked her under the arms. He pulled her back until she was sitting on his large thighs, pressed back against his warm chest. He was kneeling behind her, still inside of her, and she closed her eyes to savor the sensation of the man she loved holding her close, running his hands all over breasts, kissing the side of her neck, murmuring in her ear, all while being buried deep inside her still-conracting pussy.
“How was that?” he whispered.
She turned her head to face him. Her eyes were bright. “It was perfect.”
“Yeah. I thought so too.”
She felt him swell inside of her and she gasped. “No way!”
“Oh, yes way.” He moved her on his swelling cock, her hips rolling and thrusting. He ran his tongue down her neck and she moaned. “I can’t get enough of you, princess.”
She threw her head back, closed her eyes, shuddered. She couldn’t get enough of him either.
Chapter Ten
Annie smiled at her customer, utterly uncaring that he was a rude jerk who was fussing about his bacon being not crispy enough yet again. She apologized – yet again – then spun off happily to the kitchen to tell Damon that the idiot at table six was carrying on being a pain on the ass. He did his usual silent glower, threw the bacon back on the flame, glared at it ferociously as it turned toasty.
“He want it black?” Damon growled. “‘Cause that’s about where we’re at, Annie.”
She shrugged, all sunshine and la-la-la. “He just said to make it more crispy.”
“More crispy,” Damon muttered. “I’ll crispy it, for damn sure.”
“I have to get to table four. Can you give that order to Talia when it’s up?”
“Yeah.”
Annie nodded, spun, almost danced back into the diner like someone in a corny musical. Talia watched her from the counter where she was pouring coffee.
“Someone’s awful happy today,” Talia observed. “What’s up with your love life, huh?”
“I don’t kiss and tell!” Annie sparkled. “And
before you ask – I don’t do anything else and tell, either.”
“You are just teasing me.”
“Yep.”
Annie grabbed a menu, headed over to the table by the window. She hadn’t seen the customer come in and the woman had her back to Annie as she approached, so it wasn’t until Annie was actually standing next to the table and opening her mouth that she saw who it was.
“Oh!” she said in surprise, shocked to near-friendliness. “Hello again!”
The bitch from the bathroom in The Cave stared up at her, and it was like she’d never laid eyes on Annie in her life. “Ummm… hello?”
“Do you remember me?” Annie said, suddenly wondering if the woman had been leglessly drunk the night before. If so, maybe that explained her rudeness, her staring, her quite bizarre behavior to a stranger. “From last night?”
“Uh, no.”
“At The Cave?”
The woman looked her up and down, those amazing purple eyes lingering on the wrinkled waitress uniform, the large coffee stain on her elbow. Annie flushed, suddenly realizing that the woman had been perfectly sane and sober the night before, and had known exactly what she was doing – she was doing the exact same goddamn thing now.
Today, the bathroom bitch was dressed in tight black jeans, knee high boots, and a clinging jersey that perfectly matched her eyes. Annie fought to not tug her hem down to hide the run in her nylons, resolved to go right away and get the spare pair from her purse and put them on. Then she thought about Sam, thought about how he loved nothing more than ripping her nylons off, popping the buttons on her blouses, and she smiled again.
“No, sorry.” The woman’s voice was as cool as ever, and Annie mentally shrugged. She was clearly a very unpleasant person, and Annie wasn’t interested in playing nice with a bitch.
Yeah, OK. Whatever, lady. Carry on with your shit attitude.
“So what can I get you, then?” Annie asked, adopting a more distant tone, one that was friendly but a bit clinical. “Do you want to hear the lunch specials?”
The woman glanced at the menu, her gorgeous lips curling up in a familiar sneer. “Does this place have salads?”
Annie fought the urge to literally point at the ‘Salads’ section. “Yes.”
“Drowning in fatty bacon and salty dressing, I suppose.”
“You can ask for it on the side. Or, you know, just not get any dressing or meat.”
The woman looked up sharply, narrowed her eyes. “You don’t say?’
“I do say,” Annie replied evenly. “So, you want a bowl of lettuce, then?”
The woman studied her and Annie stood her ground, held her eyes. She was good and done with this nasty piece of work and her contempt; being stunning didn’t give her some God-given right to be a horrible human being. Not even to a person who was just an uneducated diner waitress and wore frumpy clothes to a hot club.
“A Cobb salad with no eggs and dressing on the side.” The woman snapped the menu closed, snapped out the words. “And a glass of water.”
“Coming right up.”
Annie flashed her a smile, picked up the menu, headed back to Talia and rolled her eyes. Her friend followed her into the kitchen.
“Is she a total diva?” Talia asked. “She looks like a total diva.”
“Oh, yeah.” Annie grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, threw ice into a glass. “Majorly total.”
“Probably needs to get laid properly,” Talia announced. “Unlike someone that I know.”
“I’m not telling you anything, so stop hinting.”
“Awww,” Talia whined. “Just tell me one thing, OK? I have a question.”
Annie shifted her weight to her hip and waited.
“Does he love you, sweetie?”
Annie stared. “How did you –”
“Ahhh.” Talia smiled, her eyes softening and glowing. “God, I was hoping so, hoping with everything that I had. He told you?”
“Yes. Last night.” Annie shook her head. “Are you a goddamn witch? I swear, in olden times they’d have burned you at the stake. Twice.”
“I can think of a few people in the here-and-now who’d love to do it anyway.”
“Ain’t that the truth.” Annie poured the water into the chilled glass. “Speaking of witches, I’d better get back out there to madam.”
“Yeah. Can’t keep her waiting.”
But as it turned out, Madam of the Purple Eyes was gone, leaving nothing in the window booth but a lingering scent of crazy-expensive, flowery perfume. Annie sighed a bit, drank the water herself, and happily forgot all about the snippy woman with the amazing figure and hair that she’d kill to have.
She had other things to think about after all: she was going to Sam’s later, and she was making lasagna. She was going to go out on her lunch break and buy a sexy teddy for that evening. And best of all, she was going to go to sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow in the arms of the man that she loved, the man who loved her back.
Yes, life was pretty damn good. No need to spare that nasty diva even a second thought. Annie mentally crossed her fingers that she’d never see madam again, then just got on with her day.
It was probably a good thing that she had no clue what was waiting for her at Sam’s that night; it was undoubtedly a great thing that she had no clue that her living, breathing fairy tale was about to be shattered.
And not just by one female – but by two.
**
Annie knocked on Sam’s door, almost bubbling over with happiness and hormones. God, she was so painfully turned on just at the thought of seeing him, and she suspected that she’d spontaneously combust the second that door opened.
When the door did open, though, lust was the last thing that she felt.
“Sam,” she said, frightened at the look his face, so frightened that any and all horny fantasies flew out of her head immediately. “Sam, what’s wrong?”
“Annie.”
That was all he said, but that was enough: for the very first time since meeting him and hearing him say her name, she didn’t hear a note of calm welcome, of soothing warmth. No, she heard something else; something opposite.
She heard fear.
“What’s happened?” she said. “Sam? Is it your brother?”
He blinked. “No. Oh, no. Vic is fine.”
“So… what… who –”
“Come in,” he said, stepping aside, as if suddenly remembering basic social graces. “Let me take your coat.”
“Sam –”
“Annie,” he said gently. “We need to talk. Something… well, someone has happened.”
“Someone?” she echoed, totally lost. “What are you talking about?”
“Oh, God, Annie… I don’t know how to tell you this.”
“Just tell me, Sam. Whatever it is, just say it, OK? Because you’re completely freaking me out now.”
“Honey…” He glanced over his shoulder, back towards the living room. “Before I met you, I was living with –”
Just then, Annie heard fast, light footsteps, and she froze. She knew that sound, because of course she did: she was a mother after all, and she’d spent years and years listening to the sound of tiny feet on the floor above her head, in the next room, at her side, and she’d often heard it in stereo. She’d recognize a small child’s running footsteps in her sleep. She stared at Sam, then she stared down at the little person who had appeared at his side.
A little person with the softest, brightest, sweetest chocolate-brown eyes that she’d ever seen in a face… well. Except for the eyes of one other person, a person who just happened to be standing right there in front of Annie.
She met those eyes now, and saw nothing but torment and conflict shining out at her. And regret too, so much regret, and in that second, she knew that everything was different.
/>
Everything as she knew it was over.
“Hello,” the little girl said, twirling a finger in her dark hair.
“Hello,” Annie responded, feeling like she might pass out, but her Mommy instincts kicking in fast enough to both save her sanity and keep her vertical. “What’s your name, sweetheart?”
“Cindy.”
“Hi. I’m Annie.” She swallowed. “How old are you?”
“Almost three.”
“Almost…” Her throat closed up now, closed up good and tight, and she choked out the next word. “…three?”
“Annie… hey, Annie…”
Sam’s soft voice was almost her undoing, and she blinked hard, raised her eyes to his again. That was when she saw movement behind him, and she stared as a woman appeared around the corner from the living room. Annie was surprised at her complete lack of surprise; she almost felt the urge to nod.
It’s her. Of course it is. Jesus Lord.
“Annie,” Sam said. “This is Kathleen. Cindy’s Mom.” He hesitated. “My – my ex.”
“Right.” Annie was proud of her calm, because she sure as hell wanted to rip that dark waterfall of hair out of the woman’s head, smack that perfect little smile off her smug fucking face. “We’ve met. Twice, wasn’t it, Kathleen? Last night, at my daughter’s Hen Party, and then again just a few hours ago, at my place of work?”
“What?” Sam spun to stare at Kathleen. “You – you followed Annie around Denver?”
“She sure did,” Annie said cheerfully with a wink at Cindy to set her at ease. No sense upsetting a little girl just because her mother was a creepy bitch. “Guess you wanted to check out your ex’s current girlfriend, right?”
“Right!” Cindy giggled. “We wanted to see who Daddy is friends with now!”
Daddy.
Well, that’s that. Game set, match. Over. It’s over.
Hurting badly now, hurting too much to pretend or hold back the tears, Annie turned blindly, groping for the door handle. She barely felt the hand on her arm, and she shook it off almost violently. Then she was outside, the chill in the air both blissfully refreshing and terrifyingly clarifying, striding to her car.
