CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE
NIKI
I had just picked up Bella from school when my phone rang. I had the best ringtone for Jordan. I’m a little surprised he was calling me.
“JT, what a wonderful surprise.” I got a little excited.
“Niki we need to talk.” Awesome, maybe now he’s seeing my side of things.
“Really, I hope it's good news that you have to tell me.” Maybe now he was ready to be permanently in my life.
Oh! My! God! He must have broken up with Cara. I’m a little embarrassed that I giggle.
“Look I need you to come into the office tomorrow afternoon and have a long talk with me in person.” Tomorrow was the fifteenth that means I would have to get my mother to pick up Bella.
Oh...I’m thrilled to be seeing him in person.
“I will be there JT. I can’t wait.” Then I heard the click of the phone as he hung up on me. Well, that was a little rude. I hope it has nothing to do with her. He better have broken up with her. I want to spend some private time with him.
I smiled and began to giggle. I needed to pick out the best outfit to grab his attention. I have a sexy little skirt I can wear. I start to roll my head from side to side as I tap my lips.
Oh and I can match it with the white lace top I own that’s see through.
Hmmm, I can wear the deep red camisole that makes my breasts look great.
Oh. My. God. I can pair everything with my sexy red bra and thong set.
I need to find my knee high stilettos. I look killer in those.
“Mommy?” I turn to Isabella.
“Yes,” I say softly.
“Look at the picture I drew you, can it go on the refrigerator?” I let out a sigh.
“I guess.” She gives me a little pout as I take it from her. I don’t even look at what she’s drawn.
“Mommy?” OMG! What is it with all the questions?
“What Bells?” I don’t even look at her.
“Are you still eating the funny candy?” What is she talking about?
“What funny candy Bella?” Now I’m interested.
“The funny candy you would take at our old house. You ate it before breakfast.” She walks to the kitchen counter and points to the pill bottles on top of the microwave.
“Did grandma ask you to talk to me about those?” That crazy woman, she’s so annoying with nagging me about taking my medication.
“No, she told me to tell you that I love you. I just know when you ate the funny candy that you were nicer. You loved me then.”
“I do love you, Bella.” She crosses her little arms over her chest.
“No, you don’t mommy. You love the man in the picture that you talk to. Mr. Travis loved me and now he’s gone away. Grandma loves me, you don’t anymore mommy.”
“Well I just show my love differently; you’re going to your grandmothers after school tomorrow.” She then runs into her room.
I take out my phone again and call my mother. I don’t want to talk with her, but I have to.
“Hello, Nicole.” Yippee,…not…why does she always use my full name?
“Mom, I need you to pick up Bella from school tomorrow. I have some things to take care of.” I can hear her frustration through the phone as she breathes.
“I don’t even want to ask any more Nicole. I can get her tomorrow. Have you taken your medicine?” Damn her with the questions.
“No mother and I won’t take it.” I’m pissed off now.
“Do you have dinner ready for Bella?” Oops.
“Not yet.”
“Damn it, Nicole. Just bring Bella over right now. I can take her to school in the morning. I don’t know what has you so distracted, but this needs to stop. I can’t have you committed, but I wish I could.”
“Mother, I’m not going back to the hospital. I hate it there.” I say my goodbyes after tell her that I would be bringing over Isabella.
I don’t waste any time getting Isabella over to my mother’s house. She wanted me to stay for dinner and I was having none of that. Her intention was to get me to talk to her and that’s a nope.
I knew what I had to do and I was going to do it. I needed to get my man back in my life and that crazy bitch won’t get out of my way. I swear I’ll do whatever it takes to get Jordan back.
I grab some food before I get back to my house. Once I’m done eating I go in search of my clothes for tomorrow. I’m able to find everything I need. I spend the next few hours washing and ironing them.
I have to look my best.
I hop in the shower when I’m done. I spend time deeply washing my hair. I might have to go in the morning to get my nails done.
“Yeah, that’s what I’ll do.” I shave my legs and make sure to even clean up my bikini area. JT likes to get frisky in his office.
Maybe he’s not getting it at home with the princess.
“She doesn’t deserve to be fucking him.”
He’s mine, always has been.
Bitch!
I grab my oils and rub them over my body. I picture Jordan I as do this. The way he used to play with my large breasts. I had them done after we graduated high school. I wanted them to be eye catching. I mean he did have fun playing with them when he got back from being deployed.
I think about trying to get myself off, but I want to save that for tomorrow. I spend a moment longer thinking about all the ways I used to get Jordan turned on. I’m so excited from just the memories.
When I get out of the shower I spend a little more time prepping my body. I have to look perfect for tomorrow. I climb into bed close to midnight. I pull out the burner phone that Travis had left me.
I hope you're keeping Jordan close to you. Sweet Cara, you’re not the only one that he’s spending time with. Be ready to lose what you hold dear.
I hit the send button. I hope she likes the new message. I mean no one seems to be looking into her messages. I would know about it. I pay close attention to what’s going on in the office.
I finally fall asleep super excited for tomorrow. I awake early and jump out of bed. I grab some easy clothing and fix up my hair a little. I’m going to get my nails done.
It takes the lady I use only an hour. I paid her extra to be available for me early this morning. I like the white glittery tips she gave me. I rush home because I have to get ready.
I get dressed first. I stare at myself in the mirror because I look great. Travis never knew what my real intentions were. I mean he thought I was trying to help him get his revenge. However, I wanted him to help me get my man.
My man, what a sweet sound. I roll my head.
I’ll get to taste him later.
I had a teaser on New Years. That was priceless to watch Cara flip out. I mean okay they did get on me for kissing him. Amber wanted to kill me. She can’t lay a hand on me. I will ruin them.
It was nice to see that Ryan brought another woman to the party. Fucking little sister needs to know if she isn’t going to take him, he won’t stay. He won’t chase her forever. I had no choice but to be gone for years.
“Thank you, mommy dearest.” She sent me to my aunt who put me into a program to take care of my mental issues. It was more about the fact they want to shove pills down my throat. I’m fine just the way I am.
“If they can’t love beautiful me for who I am then they don’t get to love me.” I also had to wait for the right timing with Travis.
I take a moment to think of him. He was kind to me. He would come visit me when he could. He’s been a part of Bella’s life since she was born. I hate that. I mean it’s possible that she’s his kid, but she could have been my boss’s at the time.
“My man beat up my boss. He loves me.” I curl my hair to make it look sexy and spend most of my time doing my makeup.
“He will beg me to fuck him now.” I look at myself in the mirror.
“I look damn good.” There’s no way Cara can compete with me. She’s fucking crazy. If anyone should be popping pill
s it should be her. I mean I don’t know how she has everyone wrapped around her crazy little finger.
“I should have filled charges when she slapped me in the restaurant bathroom.” A chill runs up my spine. Jordan had yelled at me not to when I cried to him about it.
“Really! How dare he yell at me? He’s supposed to love me. He promised me forever?”
Did he promise me forever? I don’t know if he did. My heart sinks to my stomach as I think about all this. I have finished getting ready and walk into my bedroom. I grab my jewelry and look at the little items on my bed.
Each piece was something that Jordan had given me. I put on his class ring around my neck. I’m hoping it will remind him of times when things were fun with us. I tuck the ring into my shirt so it hangs between my breasts.
It’s time to go seduce my man. I grab my long coat that will cover me up and head out the door. I will be fucking him today if it’s the last thing I do.
CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
CARA
It was Friday morning. There was still a little tension between me and Jordan. I was in the bathroom taking care of my hair when he walked it. For a moment, I thought he came in to talk to me.
I had just put my hair in a ponytail when he walked up behind me. I watch him from the mirror wrap my hair in his hand. It’s still early in the morning.
I wondered for a moment why he was still here. He told me he had somewhere important to be at. He has yet to tell me what that is.
I catch his bright blue eyes with mine from the mirror. Jordan tugs my head lightly to the side and then smiles at me. I watch as he places his lips slowly on my neck. Holy wow if that’s not the hottest thing I have ever seen. Well, I take that back watching us have sex is something to see.
Jordan lightly plays with my hair as he kisses up and down my neck. I feel my body warm and then he stops. I’m so turned on that I’m a little confused.
“I have to go pretty girl.” I turn to judge him. I want to see if something is wrong.
“Why? I mean you just…” He was teasing me.
“I wanted to touch you. I’ll be late if I don’t leave now. I might also be home late.” I look at the time on my phone.
“Okay. I hope not. I want to go to the gym and spend some time with you.” He smiles, tells me he will try and leaves the bathroom.
I grab what I need and get ready to go. I let out the puppies one more time and then head over to the gym. I’m a little excited to be here today. It’s nice to get out of the house. When I walk in I see Sierra standing with a group of women. I notice that she looks frustrated.
She spots me and says something to the women. Next thing I know she is coming towards me. She looks irritated.
“Cara, I’m thankful that you’re here. I forgot I had a group coming in today. I mean, how stupid was I not to reschedule them?”
“What does this have to do with me being here?” She smiles and right there I freak. This might be bad.
“I have to go with Rachel and Kristina to sit in court. We have to go pick up this little girl who needs us to be with her be there with her. Anyways all you have to do is take the women up to the third floor or whatever and talk with them.” Huh. I’m shocked.
“You want me to talk with them.” Me, why me?
“You have been in a traumatic experience tell them how you are coping with it.” No way.
“Sierra, I’m not coping very well.” She shakes her head and laughs a little.
“Yes you are. I’ll introduce you.” She drags me over to the group of four women.
“Ladies this is Cara; she will be running the group today. Cara this is Nicola, Heather, Robin and Candy.” I smiled at everyone and then Sierra said goodbye. Well darn what am I to do now.
I looked at Nicola. She had long brown hair and seemed to be watching everything. Candy was a blond and I wasn’t sure what to think about her. Robin seemed timid with me and Heather looked scared to death.
No, going outside would be a bad thing. I could take them upstairs. I had an idea. Luckily I don’t really have to go to my locker.
“Ladies since you all look ready to work out why don’t we go to the third floor.”
“I’m good with that.” Candy was the first one to speak up. I liked that she smiled at me.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been to the third floor what are we going to do there?” Nicola said softy.
“I figure we can walk laps and just talk. Oh hang on one second.” I ran over to Justin and asked if he could keep the third floor free for me.
“I’ll make sure no one goes up there to disturb you, babe.” I think he calls every woman babe.
“Is there going to be more people up there?” Robin asked when I got back to the group.
“Nope just us.” Heather was the only one who didn’t say anything. We took the elevator to the third floor. When I got into the room the lights were already on. I went over to the speaker system I had bought and pulled out my IPod.
I set the music to something fun and let it play. I turned to the women and wondered how well this will work. Do I ask them if they want to talk first or begin walking? I think we should walk.
“Why don’t we start walking and we can talk as we go.” Everyone shook their head and we began to walk. I started to think about what to say.
“So, what’s your story Cara?” Candy asked me. I shrugged my shoulders.
“I don’t have much of a story. In April of last year, I was involved in a violent altercation. My cousin was about to be kidnapped and I stopped it.” I flashed my fingers to them. I had taken off the bandage this morning.
“Are they supposed to look that irritated?” Nicola was checking out my scars.
“No, I have anxiety and when I panic I rub them. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even realize that I scratch them.” Both Nicola and Candy look at Robin.
“I don’t self-harm anymore I swear. I mean you all saw me change early. The scratches on my arm are from my new cat. I swear she is a demon when she wants attention.” We all laugh, but Heather stays silent. I don’t push her to talk.
“In September the man that tried to take my cousin took me. I don’t remember how he took me, but I’m here now.”
“Wow, how long were you with him? Did the police come and rescue you?” I let out a breath as we start our second lap.
“I don’t remember how long I was with him. I think it was like two days. I don’t know really. My boyfriend works for a protection and investigation company that he owns. He saved me with is friend.” This is a good start for all of us.
“Nice for you to have such a good boyfriend.” Robin says with anger in her voice.
“You don’t sound pleased with that.” Her whole body changes which makes me think this is a horrible topic.
“Men are jerks. I mean my ex-boyfriend used to beat me. He would tell me that I’m not good enough, that I was too fat…” Robin went on talking and that’s when I noticed that Heather wasn’t liking this conversation. I put my hand up to stop Robin from talking.
“Heather are you okay?” She freaked and backed up from me.
“Cara it’s not worth your time. She never talks.” Candy was informing me, but I wasn’t caring.
“Heather it’s okay.” I took a step closer to her and she stopped moving. When I was right in front of her I lightly touched her. She freaked and shoved me.
I didn’t say anything and went back to where I was. I touched her again. She shoved me harder. Okay, I’m getting something from her.
“What are you doing Cara?” Nicola was now standing close to us. I waved my hand at her to back up.
“Heather, talk with me. I’m not your enemy.” She wasn’t even looking at me. I touched the same spot and this time she reached up to slap me. Thankfully I had listened to everything Justin taught me. I was able to catch her hand in time to stop her.
Her eyes went wide like she was scared of me. I rushed her and wrapped my arms around her. I was gentle
when I touched the top of her head in comfort.
“It’s okay Heather. I’m here for you, talk to me.” She didn’t say anything, but broke into tears. I let her cry on me. The other women just stood there.
After a little while Heather pulled from the hug and wiped off her tears. She looked at my shirt. I thought for a moment that she was going to break into tears again.
“I…I’m sorry…I ruined your shirt…and I pushed you.” She spoke in this soft little voice to me.
“It’s okay Heather. My shirt can be cleaned, you shoving me is nothing compared to what I went through with Justin up in this room.” Her eyes went wide on me. “Oh no, he wasn’t hurting me, he was teaching me to defend myself.”
“I like Justin, he’s nice to me.” Just then there was this strange beeping noise. “I have to take my medicine.” Heather walked over to this little bag she had with her.
“May I ask what you’re taking?” She pulls out this little bag of pills. I count about five of them.
“I take some in the morning, some right now, and some later. These are to help with my headaches. My ex-husband used to beat me bloody. My head is so messed up that if I don’t take all my pills then I get very sick. My head hurts terribly.” Wow, why would someone that loves you do that?
“I can’t believe some men do that. I swear any man that hits a woman they say loves them needs to be shot.”
“Amen.” Nicola hollers.
“Can we beat them and then cut off their pecker.” I laugh a little at what Candy says.
“All of the above.” Is what Robin says. “Men can be great, but some don’t deserve to live. I have my son and I will raise him right, but he will be nothing like his daddy.”
“I have a daughter. She’s the reason I’m here. I want to be stronger for her.” I smile listening to her talk. “My ex-husband would yell at me for every little thing. My clothes being not good enough. I mean he would pick out everything I wore. This,” She points to her outfit. “He would have burned. ‘No man will look at my wife looking like that. You’re just asking for trouble.’ He would call me a slut.”
“My ex never liked what I wore either, but he never picked out my clothing.” Robin announced.
