It sounded resolute and unbending coming out of her mouth. When Xander just winked and strolled out of the room, she somehow felt as though the words had rolled right over him.

I’ll admit it took me a while to plan the next band romance after I finished Unsteady Rhythm. The central romance in Driving Tempo is between two quiet characters who aren’t used to being in the spotlight. As a result, I had to allow their voices to be heard over all of the others. (Yes, I’m a writer and I hear voices.) In the end, their romance ended up being one of the most memorable I’ve ever written. I hope you enjoy reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it!
