Margot
“Welcome to the third annual Fantasy Night at Club Inferno.” Jamie Teller looked around the room with a smile. “It only happens once a year, where thousands of people send us their sexual fantasies and the staff here at the club has to choose which ones of you get to live them out. There’s a lottery since none of the participants are members of the club and, once the winners are notified, stringent medical screening and paperwork to determine how to make this the sexual fantasy of your life. Those of you who are here made it through the lengthy vetting process and are going to have a blast tonight, so please have a drink while you wait, and the staff will be walking around giving you room or station assignments, depending on your fantasy.”
Standing in the back of the room, I looked around nervously. I was as anxious as I was excited. I’d entered the contest for Fantasy Night on a whim, after going so long without a relationship or sex, but I truly hadn’t expected my sexual fantasy to be chosen. This was one of the hottest, most exclusive sex clubs in the country, so I never thought I’d be one of the lucky ones. Of course, my friendship with Jamie probably had something to do with it, and that was what I was nervously excited about.
Thousands of people had sent in letters outlining their sexual fantasies, and the staff here at the club drew names and paired them with others’ fantasies to find out which people got to live them out.
Jamie came toward me now with that same sweet, lazy smile on his face, but there was something in his eyes that made me uncertain and I frowned a little.
“You look beautiful tonight,” he said, leaning over to kiss my cheek.
“Thank you.” I flushed, still unused to compliments from hot guys like Jamie, even though he was married and not someone I was interested in beyond Fantasy Night.
“Are you ready?”
I nodded.
“So…” He seemed hesitant. “I know you’ve been thinking that Viggo and I were going to be part of your fantasy.” Jamie was openly bisexual and Viggo was his husband.
“You mean you’re not?” I asked in alarm, my heart skipping a beat.
He shook his head. “We talked about it. You know we’re both bi, not gay, and we do occasionally treat ourselves to a night with a woman. But we’re always careful, because our marriage, our family, is more important to us than anything, and having a threesome with a woman we’re friends with outside of the club, well, it just doesn’t feel right.”
“I would never try to come between you,” I said quickly.
“I know, doll. This is about us, though. Not you.”
“But—” I started to protest, but he put a gentle finger on my lips.
“You trust me, don’t you, honey?”
I nodded automatically because I did.
“And we’ve talked about tonight’s possibilities for weeks. Did you prepare the way I told you to?”
I flushed again, because I still wasn’t used to talking about things like butt plugs and anal sex and threesomes. Even though I’d signed up for all of that tonight.
“Margot?”
I swallowed. “Yes. I did everything you told me to do.”
“You’re wearing a plug now?”
“Yes.”
“Tonight is going to be good for you,” he said softly. “I promise. I’ve handpicked the men you’re going to be with. Your fantasy is going to come true in more ways than one and that’s what you wanted, right? A night of the wildest sex you’ve ever dreamed of, with two men who—”
“But I thought it would be you and Viggo!” I whispered, on the verge of tears, panicking now that reality was setting in. “I thought…”
“I know.” He closed his big, warm hands around one of mine and brought it to his chest. “And we did discuss it. At length. I know you’d be more comfortable with us, but long-term, we like you too much to attempt something so intimate, and at the end of the day, our marriage comes first. Bringing in a woman who hangs out at our house, who’s our friend, might add a level of complication for all of us.” He met my gaze intently. “You understand, don’t you?”
“Yes.” I hated it, but I did.
“And you know the rules for tonight?”
I nodded. “But—”
“Stop saying but. I asked if you would trust me to make tonight good for you, and you said yes. Initially, I was going to do it personally, but the two guys I’ve set up for the evening are exactly the perfect match for what you—and they—need.”
“You know I’ve never done anything like this… What if I can’t do it?” I whispered. “What if I’m not attracted to them or…or…something?”
“There is no universe where you’re forced to do anything. You can leave or say no at any time. This is Fantasy Night, and if you’re upset, that ruins it for everyone. But you need to trust me. You trusted me when this first came up, and I want you to trust me now.”
“Are we ready?” Viggo came over to us, leaning over to kiss my cheek just as Jamie had done. “Hello, beautiful.”
They were truly the sweetest guys. Not to mention hot. Sexy. I’d thought I’d be getting to know just how hot and sexy firsthand tonight, and now Jamie had thrown me for a loop.
“She’s a little unsure about the change in plans,” Jamie told him. Then he turned to me. “Give it a chance, Margot. I promise, you won’t be afraid or disappointed. These guys would never hurt you, and their fantasies match up with yours perfectly.”
I hesitated.
“This was your idea,” Viggo reminded me gently. “You’re the one who said your life is boring and that even when you’d had sex in the past, it was lame… What’s the worst thing that could happen? If you find them unattractive or you’re scared beyond an acceptable level of nervousness, you walk away. But if you allow yourself to indulge in this, you might have the best sex of your life.”
His deep-set blue eyes we
re filled with sincerity, and I had to remind myself that Viggo and Jamie were my friends. They’d spent countless hours at the hospital with me when my four-year-old daughter, Gracie, had been going through surgery after surgery after a terrible car accident. I hung out at their house. I’d babysat their kids a few times when their nanny had the flu. Even if Fantasy Night turned out to be a dud, they would never put me in a situation where I would be harmed in any way.
“I-I can still change my mind, right?” I asked slowly.
“Let’s go to my office,” Jamie said. “You’re going to be in one of the private suites later because I know you’re way too shy to do anything in the dungeon or one of the public viewing rooms. You can say no at any time during the encounter—even after it’s started.”
“Just remember,” Viggo pointed out, “if you decide not to participate tonight, you’re banned from Fantasy Night for two years because we had nearly four thousand people on the list and only took a hundred, so a lot of people lost out for you to have a spot.”
I breathed in deeply, my fingers lacing with Jamie’s nervously. “Okay. I guess I’m ready.”
“I’m going to get the guys,” Viggo said, walking in the other direction.
I was still clinging to Jamie’s hand as we walked to the hallway where the offices were.
“Relax,” he said, his dark eyes filled with understanding. “You said you trust me, and this is my job. There’s a reason I’m part owner of a sex club. I know women, especially their sexual needs, and I know exactly what you need. What I have planned for you is going to blow your mind.”
“I don’t even know what I need,” I muttered.
“I know.” He chuckled as we stepped inside.
“You promise they’re hot?” I demanded as he closed the door. “Because if I’m not attracted to them…”
“You think I’d pick two guys who aren’t hot to fulfill your threesome fantasy?” he demanded playfully. “I might be offended.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle. “No, I guess not.”
“Just remember to breathe,” he said.
I tried to stay calm, but I was having serious second thoughts. This was so out of character for me. I’d only slept with a handful of guys, and I’d never done anything like this. Fantasies were dumb, and I wasn’t the type of girl who had them. This had been a terrible idea.
Crap, I couldn’t do this.
“Jamie, I don’t think—” I broke off as the door opened and a guy I’d never seen before came in. He was older than me, probably more than a decade, as I put him at about forty and I was only twenty-five, but he was definitely good-looking. He had a full head of wavy, light brown hair that was probably in need of a cut, nice features, and a great body, from what I could see. He wore black slacks that narrowed to a tapered waist and hips, and a black dress shirt that had several buttons open at his throat and that showed off broad shoulders.
“Hey, Josh.” Jamie grabbed my hand again, pulling me forward. “This is Margot. Margot, this is my friend, Josh LeBlanc. He and I went out on one date before I realized Viggo was the only man for me. He’s from Ottawa and came to town specifically for tonight.”
Josh held out his hand. “Hi, Margot.”
“H-hi.” I looked up at him, mindlessly shaking his hand, unable to think of anything else to say. He had long-lashed hazel eyes and perfect teeth surrounded by well-shaped lips. I could kiss him.
Right?
“Josh is gay,” Jamie continued quietly. “He’s been fantasizing about being with a woman because he never has, which is why he’s here.”
“Never?” I asked before I could stop myself.
Josh shook his head. “I mean, I kissed a few girls as a teen and such, while I was figuring out who I was, but I’ve never made love with a woman.”
“Oh.” I didn’t know what to say.
The door opened again and Viggo stepped inside, a faint smile on his face as he met my gaze. For some reason, my stomach squeezed painfully as I waited to see who the other man was.
Then my mouth fell open.
Tore Brekken?
No fucking way.
I shook my head the moment I realized who it was.
The professional hockey player of my dreams.
The man I’d been in love with for months.
The same man I’d shot down and friend-zoned after he’d kissed me two months ago.
Nope. This wasn’t happening.
“There’s been a terrible misunderstanding…” I barely got the words out before rushing past all of them and back into the hallway.

Tore
“Margot, wait!” Jamie brushed past me and went after Margot before I had a chance to wrap my head around what had just happened.
What the fuck?
I’d signed up for Fantasy Night two years in a row and had been surprised to get the invitation to participate this year, but the last thing I’d expected was to find Margot waiting for me.
I’d been chasing the sweet, sexy brunette for months and I’d finally worked up the nerve to kiss her at a friend’s wedding two months ago. After the most delicious, exciting and romantic kiss of possibly my entire life, she friend-zoned me so fast I got emotional whiplash. One minute we’d been kissing like characters in some sort of Harlequin romance novel, and the next she’d pushed me away and told me we could never, ever do that again. That our friendship was too important. That her daughter needed her and that a man would be a distraction. That she needed stability, both for herself and for Gracie, and that I was too busy with my hockey career to think about being a dad.
She’d gone on for so long I’d wanted to shut her up with another kiss, but then her words sunk in and they’d hurt my feelings, which was pretty hard to do. I wasn’t the most sensitive guy, and I was always up for lighthearted fun, so it took a lot to hurt me. And Margot had. Maybe it was because of my feelings for her, or because she’d essentially told me I wasn’t good enough to be a father to her daughter, even though she hadn’t said it in so many words. Whatever it was, it hurt, and since then we hadn’t spent much time together and none alone.
“Give us a minute,” Viggo said gently. “Why don’t you two get to know each other? Josh LeBlanc, this is Tore Brekken, one of my teammates on the Sidewinders. I think you can figure out each other’s fantasies while we try to talk Margot down off the ledge.”
“I don’t think this is going to work out,” I said quietly. “Nothing personal, Josh, but she friend-zoned me back in June and things have been pretty strained between us since then.”
Viggo winked. “We know all about it. You don’t think this is a coincidence, do you? Jamie is the master matchmaker.” He walked out into the hall, shutting the door behind him.
“Do I get to know the story?” Josh asked, leaning against the wall, his eyes twinkling as he looked at me.
I sighed and blew out a breath. “I’m into her. All of our mutual friends told me she was into me too. I spent almost a year working up the nerve to take things to the next level, and at a wedding, I kissed her. Afterwards, she basically told me I wasn’t the kind of guy she needed in her life.”
He grimaced. “What kind of guy is she looking for?”
“Fuck if I know.” I eyed him. “So, uh, what was your fantasy?”
He smiled. “Having sex with a woman.”
I paused. “Are you gay?”
He nodded. “And I’m guessing you’re…curious?”
I chuckled. “Yeah. Kinda.”
The door opened and Margot came back in, followed by Jamie.
“Tonight is about all three of your fantasies,” Jamie said with a smile. “Margot wanted a threesome with two men. Josh has never been with a woman and thought it would be more comfortable if there was another man involved. And Tore is straight but is interested in experimenting with a man, also with a woman involved. The three of you literally fit each other’s fantasies so perfectly, we couldn’t not put you together. I sense a level of discomfor
t here, but that’s half the fun. The three of you need to have a few drinks, maybe get out on the dance floor, get to know each other. Margot has the key card for the room reserved for you, so you can decide when you’re ready to go up.”
“And if she doesn’t?” I asked quietly.
Jamie smiled and winked. “Not gonna happen.”
He shut the door behind him, and the three of us were quiet for a minute. I didn’t know what the hell I was supposed to say or do, so I opted to keep it simple.
“I could use a drink,” I said.
“Me too.” Josh opened the door and motioned for Margot and me to walk out ahead of him.
We made our way to the bar, and I ordered a shot of Jack Daniel’s for myself and glanced at Margot. “Champagne cocktail?” I asked her, since I knew that was her favorite.
She nodded. “Yes, please.”
I turned to Josh. “What’s your pleasure?”
“The two of you, naked,” he muttered before turning to the bartender and saying, “Crown Royal, on the rocks.”
“This isn’t going to work if you’re still mad at me,” I blurted out to Margot.
She turned those big brown eyes to me and shook her head. “I was never mad at you. You don’t even get it.”
“Then explain it to me,” I said.
“Yes, please explain, because the two of you bickering wasn’t part of my fantasy.” Josh didn’t appear at all reluctant to interfere in our conversation.
