“I wish you could see what I see. You're laid bare waiting for me all except for this.” He flicked a nipple covered with her bra. “And a red, tiny scrap of material at your knees keeping you from spreading your legs.” His fingers drifted downward and teased her clit.

Her bright eyes sparkled, her hips lifted just enough to say take me, even as she licked her lips making them shiny for him.

He reached down bunching her panties in his hand and pulled. The came apart like they had no substance in his hands. Wetness rolled from between her legs, he leaned down and licked it up causing her to beg for more.

He gave her a smile that made her heart flutter as he laid beside her.

  “Now, where were we?”

Before she could answer, he was kissing her. This time her head was spinning from the taste of him. His animal side was close to the surface, and she could taste the dragon mixed with the man. The wildness of him of his kiss was turning her on. Her tongue pushed into his mouth savoring his taste even as her hands were working their way over his hips.

She moved down to his neck kissing him slowly before she placed little bites on him making the skin sensitive.

  “You make me happy Willow.”

She stopped mid bite. He loved her he told her so, but this was even more. To know that her presence made him happy. She wasn’t a thousand things she could think of, but she was just enough, and that was what he liked about her. Her arms went around him and held him close. She couldn’t lose him.

  “You’re leaking.”

  “No, I’m rejoicing.”

He leaned over her and licked up her tears keeping them safe within him forever.

“Just like my medallion, they will be forever with me.”

  “Sweet talker.”

He gave her a grunt before he took the bra off with his teeth, then he took a nipple into his mouth. He sucked hard making her buck underneath him. Her voice came out in a sweet song to his ears. Gasps mixed with moans that made his cock harder even as he fought for control.

Her hands went into his hair stroking his scalp until she hit a sensitive spot. She stroked it again, and he growled. He moved her body playing with it, but he focused on one spot.

“Open.” His deep voice had her spreading her legs so he could look at her.

He ran his finger over her smooth pussy. She made it the first order of business so she would know which he liked the best. He got closer to her until his nose was pushed into her pussy and he sniffed. Her body stilled as she waited.

“Fragrant, I want you.” His tongue came out and licked the seam of her pussy before pushing in.

“Javon.” His name came out at the end of a long moan.

He licked her tasting her wetness and growling around it. His fingers came out to play as he inserted one then another inside of her. She loved the way he was flexing them. Her body curled up wanting more even as her greedy pussy convulsed around his fingers. He brought his mouth up to suck on her clit, and she almost went overboard.

  “Not without me.”

He lifted his body up so that he was leaning over her. The look on his face was enough to make her weep with desire. Then he lowered pinning her to the bed as his cock found her entrance surging in as his hips pounded against her making her keen.

His growl met hers as he moved in and out. Her heart overflowed with desire for him, her need for him kept taking her higher. She finally found her home, and it was in her arms. She rejoiced as the walls of her pussy clung to him.

He was so thick she felt like he was filling her making her his. He would never let her go.

“Javon!” His name came out as a scream as the lights flickered around her.

“Will you be my mate Willow? Will you take me as your mate?”

“Yes.” Her voice was solemn even thought it was filled with joy. She made this choice willingly. He pounded into her. Her body shook refusing to stop this time as she flew high. He bit her shoulder, and it drove her higher.

He found her, his sweet, passionate Willow. He wanted to hold on tight so he wouldn’t ever lose her, but he had to allow her to be free so she would always stay with him.

“I feel you inside my head. I can hear and feel you”. The sheer wonder of the moment made her want to scream in joy.

“You’ll always be able to hear me.”

She reached out for a rainbow before the darkness around her eyes caught up with her.

  Chapter Twenty-one

The ringing of the doorbell woke them up. Javon made his way to the intercom to send whoever it was away, except it was Syn. So he let him in. She hadn’t been all that happy since she was looking for a repeat performance. She knew like he knew that Syn wasn’t just in the neighborhood.

She could still hear his teasing voice about her passing out from the pleasure. A smile crept over her lips. Next time would be his turn.

Maceo and Nadia turned up along with the Oracles, then Zeno and Skye came along, so it was a full house.

  “Javon, what happened to Selena?”

“She’s down in the room I was frozen in. Mutufa can’t reach her there which is why he trapped you inside the mountain.”

That made sense. If he could reach Javon, he would have destroyed his body while he was still frozen. She went and took a seat at the table. The smiles on everyone's face was forced. They were acting like they needed one more normal meal before they said it was all over, they had lost.

Nadia made a beautiful breakfast that comprised of thick steaks and no bacon or sausage. That right there told her they were in trouble.

  “What’s happening?”

“He’s coming, I can feel him.” Alexa pinned her with her electric blue gaze. Nadia nodded her head, and Skye joined her.

  “Why don’t I feel him?”

They looked back and forth before one of the Oracles spoke up.

“Maybe you’re not supposed to feel him.”

Once again she was the one person out. Then she took herself in hand, this was a war not some petty game, and she needed to figure out what was happening.

“What’s my role?” The Oracles smiled at her like she just spouted the wisdom of the ages.

“You’ll know when the time comes. There are a few more people coming.”

Serenity appeared by the table. “Sorry, I’m late, but I do like to make an entrance.”

“Have a seat.” Willow waved her to an empty chair.

“More company,” Samantha said just as two more appeared.

“Does everyone know my brother and his wife? George and Tamia.”

  “George?”

“Sorry, Syn that was the one thing I couldn’t tell you. Nice to see all of you again. Willow.” He gave her a bow. “Sorry to throw you overboard.”

“You threw me overboard? It was this—.”

  He became Mr. Creepy.

“Are your the reason no one seemed to remember me?”

“Guilty. I couldn’t have them trying to find you.”

Well hell, she wanted to be pissed, but she was the one who won in the end.

“You didn’t get a chance to meet Tamia. Tamia this is Willow. Willow this is Tamia.”

“I’ve heard a lot about you, I can’t wait till we can go shopping.”

Shopping, Tamia was talking her language.

  “Hun.”

“If you think I’m staying on that plane after knowing freedom and friends, think again.”

  “Why don’t mates ever listen?”

The females laughed, and the men gave him that look that said if you figure it out.

“Javon you’re the only one in the room who thinks he’s never met me.” His form changed and now he was the male who gave him the medallion.

  “Why are you here?”

“The world needs to be saved, and all of you are the best chance it has, but you need someplace that Mutufa can’t escape from.”

“As long as he is a shadow, he can get out of anyplace.”

  “He’s
no longer shadow Nadia. He has a body.”

“A body that doesn’t belong to him. That means my plane will be perfect for him. All you have to do is get him there.”

“That will be easy.” Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

“That’s the spirit, Willow.” Jillian gave her a big fake smile.

They each turned their thoughts to eating. Soon they would need all the energy they could get.

“Where will the battle take place?”

“The only one that happened on the island was by the river. Although he did have his people around to stir up problems in other sections.”

Willow took the last bite of her food and went to stand when the floor began to shake.

“Earthquake.” She dived for the floor but found herself in Javon’s arms instead.

“We don’t get Earthquakes. Come one lets’s go visit the group that makes sure the island stays in one piece.”

She looked at the others none of them were getting up. It was just the two of them.

  “You don’t get Earthquakes?”

“Our island is filled with the people the humans wanted to throw away. We weren’t human enough to them. The group we are going to meet doesn't have a name. They don’t believe in titles unless you mean an individual name. They got tired of being called Hey you.”

“That one would get to me also.” They traveled opposite of the mountains until they came to an area that was flat but beautiful. “I love all the different terrains here.”

“Right here is the main fault line for the island.” He stopped when he pulled up to a beautiful two story wood house. It had a retro feel that made you want to sit on the porch and stay a while.

  “Who lives here?”

“Joe, don’t ask. He tells us we can’t pronounce his name so Joe it is.”

He came out the house before they reached the second step.

“Have a seat.” He sat on the top step and Willow tried not to stare.

His skin color was a blue-black. It was incredible with a slight shine, and his blonde hair looked natural.

“I look strange to you, but this is natural to me.”

“It’s going to take me a minute to get used to it. Not because it’s strange but because I never realized you existed.”

He nodded at her. “You came about the Earthquake?”

  “What happened?”

“Mutufa got to several of my people, they will live, but they can’t monitor. I called in replacements, but you need to end him before he comes for more of mine or some of the others.”

  “How much harm was done?”

“Very little because we saw it coming and worked to contain it. If this keeps happening, there will be a problem. If he hits us with an Earthquake, weather issues as well as dropping the shield around the island. He could tear us to pieces.”

“We'll find him just keep concentrating on the fault lines. Send a message to the others that we are actively hunting him. They just need to hold on for a little while longer.”

“I will. We have no other choice. We live here, or we die here.” They clasped hands like they were warriors before Javon rose and reached to help Willow up.

They started the drive back watching as gray clouds began to cover the sky. They were trying to hide the sun.

  “What’s happening?”

“The energy from the sun powers the shield. It was the most powerful source of energy we could find. Even when the sun is down, it gives off energy.”

“Is this the same sun we use?”

“Yes, one day humans will marvel at what the sun can do for them.”

“First we have to survive Mutufa. Are there people who monitor the sun?”

“There are. For everything on this Earth, we were given someone who could make it easier for us. Unfortunately, our intelligence grew at different rates. The humans were still in the be afraid of anything different stage. The people here were in the look what we can do stage.”

  “Does it make you mad?”

“No, I’m right where I’m supposed to be.” The road in front of them disappeared. He turned the wheel and came to a sudden stop.

  “What do we do now?”

  “Walk.”

“You know I promised myself that I would never walk again like I did when I was trying to find your mountain.”

“Sorry to make you break that promise. But we walk, or we wait for Mutufa.”

“I think I’ll lay this one Mutufa’s doorstep.”

“Good, I didn’t want to start our life together by making you think you couldn’t trust me.”

He had a strange way of seeing things. They walked hand in hand along the cracked road looking for a place that would be easy for them to climb down and back up on the other side.

  “Help.”

They ran towards the sound. There were two parents trapped with three children.

“How are we going to help them.”

“My only excuse is that I was frozen for so long. I’m going to walk away and become the dragon. You’re going to climb down and lead them down to the wider break in the earth. When I come, I will set down, and you’ll help them climb onto my back.”

“Stay safe.” She leaned over and kissed him before walking to the edge of the tear in the land.

“That’s my line.” He called out walking away.

Did he really think it would be that easy? Not for her. A negative thought entered her mind, and she started singing a song from Mary Poppins that she loved. It was hard to be negative with that movie going through your head.

She went down carefully looking for places to put her feet and hands. What did she know about climbing down a hillside? The memory of her climbing up one helped to make her feel better. She was doing the opposite of what she had done earlier. When she got down, she met the wide eyes of the parents and the tear soaked eyes of the children.

“We couldn’t climb up with the children.”

“I’ve got a better proposition for you. How would you like to ride a dragon?”

Cheers came from two of the children. The other one was a baby.

“I need you to follow me if anyone needs help call out.”

She moved like she did this every day. There would be no hesitating while their lives depended on it. They climbed over rocks. Eventually, she took the baby so the parents could help the other two.

When they got there, she wiped the sweat off her forehead. It was pouring down her face and between her breast. At least she had put on a pair of jeans and her one pair of sturdy shoes. He was buying her another pair when this was over. That thought brought a smile to her face because it meant they would survive this together.

  “I see the dragon, Daddy.”

  “Me too, Mommy.”

She smiled at the beauty in the midst of war. Javon sat down waiting. She took one child at a time and let them pet Javon’s flank.

  “He won’t hurt you.”

  “He’s big.”

“He’s big enough to get us all out of here.”

  “Will he take us home?”

“He’ll take you where it’s safe.”

“I’m ready.” The little girl squared her shoulders, her brother followed suit not wanting to be outdone.

“This is how we are going to do it.” She looked at the parents to make sure they were listening.

“Child, parent, child, parent, I’ll carry the baby. We agreed?”

They nodded and waited. She gave the mother the baby and helped the little girl on first then the father climbed on board. Then she helped the young boy before she took the baby back from the mother. She climbed on board leaving Willow to wonder how she would get on.

“Mate put your foot on my flank.” He was closer to the ground now. She did as he said as he directed her up until she was sitting on his lap holding the baby in her arms.

“The baby is so cute I wish you could see her.”

“I can see her through your memories. Find out where they live.”<

He gave a powerful beat of his wings and up they went.

  Chapter Twenty-two

“Thank you.” The parents were talking to Javon who was still in dragon form.

  “He says your welcome.”

  “You can communicate with him?”

She looked at the father, his skin was a light brown, he could have passed for human except for his…How come she kept thinking of the people she met here as something other than human? He was as human as she was or as human as her friends had been. They simply looked different. Based on their looks they had been ostracized from polite society.

This wasn’t something new, it happened all the time.

“We can talk to each other. Although I think he can talk for himself, he doesn’t want to frighten the children. Are you sure you will be safe here?”

“We will, our people have a network of tunnels under the ground with many ways out. Don’t worry about us, just put Mutufa away for good this time.”

“We’ll do our best.” The kids waved and smiled before they disappeared into their house.

“That house looks like it will come down any minute.”

“It’s just for show. They mostly live underground. Don’t feel sorry for them. Think of the rooms I have built underground and know that their places are much nicer.”

“Where to now?” She climbed up until she was secure on his back. He took off those powerful wings beating against the air.

“I want to look for any additional damage. We might lose some portion of the sun, and I don’t want you on my back at night until we get Mutufa tucked away for good.”

“Why doesn’t anybody talk about killing him?”

“When we first sent him to serenities plane he was still alive. We sent him to where evil goes. Over a period of time, he died leaving nothing except his shadow. If we had known, we would have come up with a different plan.”

“Now that he’s in a body that doesn’t belong to him it will make him easier to cage, but what happens when the new body dies and what about the person he stole the body from.”

“Whoever used to own the body will never need it again. Once this body dies the shadow left behind will only be partially Mutufa. He will never bother us again if we can cage him.”
