Spin the Bottle
Page 26
Stepping through to the lounge, I place the bottle on the table in front of Toby, then gently slide my hands onto his shoulders, giving them a squeeze as he rocks back against me, leaning his head beneath my breasts.
“I love you.”
“What are you drawing?” I ask.
“Just some ideas for what maybe can be done with the end bedroom. I’m thinking of extending that end of the house and making it a bigger room.”
“Put that away because I want to play Spin the Bottle,” I say, sliding myself onto his lap.
“You do?”
I lean down and press my lips to his in a soft and gentle kiss, but quickly, he escalates it to being something sexier than planned as he slides his hands beneath the robe, touching my bare ass.
“Holy fucking hell. Woman I’m going to explode right here. Wait…this isn’t going to be another one of those sexy dance nights is it?” he asks.
I shake my head. “No, but you won’t want too many clothes to take off once we start playing.”
He grins at me. “Miss Reeves, I like you’re way of thinking, but one day I’ll make that Mrs Thompson.”
I get off him and pick up the bottle, moving to the lounge floor. Beckoning him over with one finger, he follows and sits opposite me.
“You wait until Henry sees this, he’ll want to play too.” Toby laughs.
“Probably, and he can when we are done with it.”
“Oh! I poured your wine, did you want it?” he asks.
“Soon.” I’m itching to get started I can barely sit still.
“Ladies first,” he says.
Picking up the bottle, I toy with it for a moment, making my fingertips dance up the neck. His eyes widen in lust and I know he’s imagining me doing that to his cock. I will, but later this evening once we’ve had some dessert and more wine.
“How about we do this instead? I want you to spin the bottle twice if you want me to move in with you,” I say.
He reacts by practically snatching the bottle from my hand and spins it.
“Once,” he whispers, then picks it up again and spins it around and around. “Twice. Do you mean it? Do you really mean it? You want to move in with me?”
“Yes. I do. Toby, I don’t want to be anywhere else and before you ask, no, I don’t feel like it’s too fast. It feels right. It felt right when you were asking me to fill a drawer and I should’ve said yes then.”
“It doesn’t fucking matter, you’re saying it now and that is all I care about.”
He pulls me into his lap and cradles me against his solid body. He pulls me to him for a battering of kisses against my lips as I burst into happy tears. Lemon senses I’m upset and comes over, nudging me and I reassure her that I’m okay; just very happy. She gives Toby a filthy look before wandering off.
“Oh great, not only do I get to put up with those looks from you, but her too.”
“That’s what you get for living with two females.” I laugh, pressing my lips to his. “Just promise me one thing?”
“Anything.”
“Would you grow back the beard? It’s kinda weird kissing you without it.”
He grins. “For you, my angel, anything.”
His angel.
His love.
His world.
That’s who I am and that’s where I belong.
Though we were apart for so long, that probably wasn’t a bad thing. We grew up, learned to love, learned who we are as people and we can make the decisions needed to be made in order to be in a proper relationship. I’m not going to say that I’ve loved him for fourteen years because I haven’t, but our love today is stronger and more powerful than anything we had before. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Epilogue
Sasha
I’m sitting in my classroom during lunch hour, watching my class eat their lunch whilst I sit and eat my own when there’s a knock on the door. Turning, I find Glenn standing there with a smile on his face and a large cake in his hands.
“I believe it’s your birthday.”
“It is, but you didn’t need to do this for me.”
“I know. We wanted to,” he says as the entire staffroom turns out in my classroom.
I can’t believe he kept me on as a teacher at the school after what had happened last year. It’s been almost seven months since the incident with Felicity and Toby and I have settled into a new routine of life and love.
Speaking of Toby, he gave me some gifts this morning before he left for work and now this. I’m one very lucky lady. Glenn places the cake down on my desk and lights the candles allowing me to blow them out.
“Oh ladies, there is one very nice looking policeman walking through the grounds,” one of the other teachers announces.
Policeman.
Toby.
He’s here.
Why?
Glenn steps out of the room and shakes his hand and then sure enough, Toby steps into my classroom carrying the biggest bunch of blue roses I’ve ever seen. Tears glisten my eyes as he steps towards me and I stand to take them from him.
“This is a surprise,” I say.
He holds out a bottle that I hadn’t seen behind his back. “Wanna play?” he asks.
“Not here, I don’t.” I laugh, remembering our very sexy night we had two nights ago that involved a game of Spin the Bottle, wine and a lot of foreplay.
“Spin it for me?” he asks. “Once means no. Twice for yes.” I look at him confused by what he means, but I spin it twice anyway not really sure what I’m doing. Suddenly, I hear squealing from all the girls outside and I turn to see Toby kneeling on the ground before me.
“Angel, we’ve been spinning bottles over and over again for love. You’re my one and only. I’ve waited fifteen years to do this and I won’t wait a day longer. You spun yes but I want to hear it from your mouth. Sasha Reeves, will you marry me?”
I shake my head. “Yes. Yes. Yes.”
He stands and wraps his arms around me and I look at Glenn.
“Just do it,” my boss says.
I press my lips to Toby’s as everyone claps around us. He lowers me to the ground and with shaking hands, he puts the ring on my finger. I look back at him and my heart bursts open. I never thought I’d meet my Prince Charming over a game of Spin the Bottle, but I’ve never regretted for a moment, sneaking out to that party with my friend that night.
It lead to love.
