The Next Level: A BWWM Billionaire Marriage And Pregnancy Romance Page 11

by Stacey Pond

“Nah,” Sangi said as she took a bite, “it’s normal. It’ll go away soon enough.”

They sat together in silence eating slice after slice of pizza until they were both stuffed. As they did, they watched reality tv, yelling at the screen or rolling their eyes in unison. Finally, Chelsea pushed the box away, washing it down with the last of the two-liter.

“So,” Sangi said as she muted the tv, “what’s going on with you and Matthew?”

“I don’t know. I just feel like he’s never around. Or that he doesn’t want to be here. I think he’s cheating on me,” she said quietly.

Sangi let out a loud laugh making Chelsea stare at her with wide eyes. “Come on, Matthew cheating on you? Do you really think that man has the time or the energy, let’s not even talk about the fact that he’s madly in love with you.”

Chelsea nodded slowly. “More hormone induced, temporary insanity?”

“Oh, yeah. Besides, the man hasn’t stuck his dick in anything in two weeks. Does he pester you for sex? Does he whine?”

“No,” Chelsea said. “He doesn’t even mention it.”

“Does that sound like Matthew to you? I guarantee the base of all your troubles is that he hasn’t gotten off since before you gave birth. Men need love too. Just a different kind of love, to their dicks.”

Chelsea threw a pillow at her. “You’re so immature.”

  “You love it.”

  “Speaking of dicks, how’s Andrew’s?”

“Happily satisfied. We’ve been together six months now you know? I think he might actually love me.”

  “Has he said it yet?”

“Not yet. You’d be surprised how he clams up at the mention of feelings. Sometimes, he’s like the epitome of romance, other times he’s like a robot named Andrew.”

“It’s all the Rawlins,” Chelsea said as she leaned against the headboard. “Back when you thought he was gay, Matthew was like that.”

Sangi grinned. “Oh yeah, I did ask him that?”

They burst into a fit of giggles at the memory. The rest of the afternoon, Chelsea let Sangi take care of the babies. Every time she did, it got a little easier. Sangi flopped back into bed next to her with a heavy sigh.

“That Melanie is ornery. I wonder where she gets it from?”

Chelsea feigned innocence. She chewed on her bottom lip in thought. Would it really be so bad to get some help? She could use another pair of hands.

“I think I should hire some help.”

“About time, stubborn. You know, I grew up with a nanny and I turned out fine.”

“I don’t think you’re the person I want to hear that from right now.”

“Shut up, jerk! I’m perfectly fucking awesome.”

  “Okay sailor mouth.”

Later that night when Sangi had to go home, Chelsea felt rested, happy. She sang to the babies to put them to sleep. Then she cleaned the house. When it was time to go to sleep, she drifted off easily, a smile on her face.

The next morning, she contacted a nanny agency and looked for a housekeeper too. She’d finally come to the realization that there was no point in having that much money if she was always going to shy away from it. There was no point. She knew she had to enjoy her life. With nanny and housekeeper interviews set up, she went ahead and decided on hiring a chef too. There were only a few more weeks before she’d have to go back to work, she might as well be prepared.

When Matthew came back home, he was surprised to see people milling around the house. He was even more surprised that they greeted him by name. Concerned, he ran up the stairs leaving his bag on the ground. The nursery door was open as he turned the corner, but it wasn’t Chelsea he saw. The woman in front of him was a young, blonde woman who smiled at him softly.

“The twins are fine. Chelsea’s in her study.”

Matthew nodded absently. He wondered if he’d bumped his head on the way home. As he walked into Chelsea’s office, she was behind her computer, a phone in her hand.

“Yes, I understand. I promise you, we’re more than onboard for taking possession of the estate. Yes. I’ll speak with you tomorrow then. Bye.”

As she hung up the phone, she saw Matthew and smiled. He looked out of breath as he stood in her doorway. She got up from her chair. When she was in reach, she wrapped her arms around him.

“Welcome home. I missed you,” she said before she kissed him.

“I missed you too,” he said absently. “What is all this?”

“I took your advice. We have a nanny, housekeeper, chef and gardener. Just for now, until the kids get a little older. I’ve gotten so much done. I even started working on a few cases. It’s been amazing. Also, I wanted to say I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that, no matter the reason. I’m really glad you’re home.”

This time, Matthew took her up in a deeper kiss. She gasped as he finally let her up for air. The look in his eyes said it all, but still he didn’t ask. It was one of the reasons she’d married him, wasn’t it? His thoughtful, compassionate nature? Still, he didn’t have to ask.

“I have a surprise for you,” she whispered quietly.

  “Really? What’s that? “

Chelsea closed her office door, the quiet click filling the whole room. She turned the lock. As she walked over to Matthew, she pushed him against her desk. The look on his face, wide eyes, opened mouth, was delicious to take in.

  “You don’t have to...I mean, I know you’re still healing…”

  “Shhh.”

Chelsea ran her fingers over the fabric of his jeans, the scratching sound filling her ears. Her hand laid flat over his cock as it jumped to life in her hand. A moan escaped his lips, his eyes never leaving her movements. She unzipped his pants before she pushed them and his boxers to the ground. He kicked out of his shoes, yanked his t-shirt over his head disheveling his blond hair.

As he watched, she dropped to her knees. First, she pulled off the shirt she wore, discarding it along with her bra. Her breasts popped into view. Matthew reached a hand down, squeezing one after the other. She could tell he was having sensory overload. She wasn’t done yet.

Chelsea trailed her tongue from the base of his cock to the tip, swirling her tongue seductively. She took her time, wetting every inch of his flesh. Her tongue switched between long, languid strokes, to fast darting trails. Every time she sped up out of the blue, he shuddered, moaning loudly. The sound of his moaning made her want to please him even more.

She wrapped her lips around his cock, loving the way he filled her mouth. For a moment, she held him there, her breath warming him. He groaned out in frustration, tried to grab her hair and thrust forward. She slapped his hand away, pushed his hands down on the desk. He looked at her in shock, the action turning him on.

Chelsea stopped teasing him. She sucked her lips in, moving her mouth up and down his shaft. The wet sound of her lips against his flesh sent shivers down her spine to her pussy. She took every inch in her mouth, into her throat. Slowly, she released his hands, her fingers trailed the inside of his inner thighs. She knew that spot never ceased to make him lose it.

She was right. Matthew began to moan, this time she let him grip her hair. His hips were moving in time with her lips, the steady motion making his orgasm build and build. She felt the muscles of his legs tighten in her hands. Chelsea moved her mouth faster, the suction getting stronger. Above her, Matthew’s eyes were closed as he mumbled oh God, oh God over and over again. He held her in place as his cock twitched and throbbed. Pools of warm cum invaded her mouth. She swallowed them down, wiping her lips after he’d slowly removed his cock.

“Well, that’s one way to welcome someone home,” he said still out of breath.

She grinned. “You deserved it. “

They spent the night together like they hadn’t in weeks. Both of them curled up in bed, wrapped around each other. When the babies were hungry, Chelsea fed them. They cooed over them, playing with the pair before they became sleepy again.
Matthew put them to bed before he climbed back next to her. The warmth of his body pressed against hers shut out the cold.

“I love you,” he said softly.

  “I love you too.”

Chelsea going back to work was harder than she thought it would be. She trusted the nanny now, but it was still a case of separation anxiety. She sat in the office that used to be Mr. Whitehill's, glancing at a picture of the twins. It took all that she had not to call home to check on them, again.

She forced herself to get back to her work. After a while, she was able to work without worrying. Chelsea wasn’t just doing well at her new position, she was excelling. Between her and Matthew the company was running better than ever.

New Year’s Eve, Chelsea and Matthew invited their family and a few close friends. They were having a small get together to celebrate the New Year rolling in. It had been awhile since she’d gotten to catch up with everyone. Chelsea was excited.

She slipped into a white dress that hugged her curves and ended at her knees. A pair of heels were slipped onto her feet before she pinned her hair up in soft curls. Matthew had given her a pair of diamond earrings for the night with a matching bracelet and necklace. She gazed at herself in the mirror, satisfied not only with her appearance, but with her life.

Matthew walked up behind her, hands on her shoulders. She turned around, giving him a soft kiss. He leaned forward, his lips brushing over her ears, his warm words making her tingle.

“Are you sure we don’t have time?”

Chelsea laughed as the doorbell rang. “I guess that’s your answer.”

  “Damn it. Until later then.”

  “Of course.”

Matthew looked so handsome in his blue suit that she wanted nothing more than to throw him on the bed. She held back the urge as he slipped from her fingers to go downstairs and start greeting their guests. Chelsea finished putting on her makeup before she slipped across the hall into the baby’s room. They were both fast asleep. Chelsea ran a hand over each of their cheeks before she gave them a kiss.

She walked downstairs with the baby monitor in her hand. Matthew knew she’d carry it around the rest of the night, but he also knew that was just how she was. Chelsea hugged her parents tightly as Sangi and Andrew walked through the door. Andrew helped her out of her coat before he hung it up for her. Matthew’s parents came through the door next. Catherine gave her a hug and a bottle of champagne for when she could drink again. Chelsea thanked her with a smile.

They spent a while catching up with each other. Andrew had moved to Boston, still helping his dad with construction. Catherine was on some new health kick that involved beets and seaweed. Chelsea shuddered. It was nice to hear their home filled with the laughter of their friends.

  “Dinner’s ready,” Matthew called.

They moved into the dining room, taking their seats as the food was placed in front of them, steam still curling from the hot plates. Everyone complemented Chelsea on the dishes she’d prepared herself and the work of the chef who took their compliments with a humble smile. As dinner finished and midnight was fast approaching, Andrew stood up. Everyone’s eyes looked at him as he cleared his throat.

“I just wanted to say thanks for a great night, you two. I couldn’t be more proud of my brother and you Chelsea. I, well we, wanted to tell everyone something. We thought tonight would be best.”

  “You’re pregnant!” Chelsea shouted.

  Sangi glared. “Hell no!”

Andrew laughed along with the others at the table. He reached down beside him, taking Sangi’s hand into his. As he did, Chelsea noticed the stunning diamond right away. Cut into a heart shape, faintly pink, it was brilliant.

“Sangi and I are getting married!”

The table erupted with applause and cheers. Sangi actually looked embarrassed from all of their attention, but the smile still hadn’t faded from her lips. Calls of congratulations filled the air as Andrew and Sangi thanked them. Even Catherine was clapping politely. Chelsea found herself grinning from ear to ear.

On the baby monitor, fussing could be heard through the speaker. Chelsea rushed upstairs, taking both of her babies out until they were nestled safely against her body. As she fed them, she rocked in the white rocking chair Matthew had bought as she sang them a song to lull them back to sleep. It didn’t take long before they were fast asleep again. Matthew showed up just in time. He took Melanie first, placing her in her bassinet before he took Mason next. With them put back to bed, they held hands gazing at their babies together.

Matthew checked his phone as Chelsea gently closed the door to the nursery behind them. It was almost midnight. Matthew led the way back to the party. It was almost midnight. The countdown would begin any minute now.

As they waited for the ball to drop, they counted back the seconds. Matthew held her hand tightly, the warm, secure hand squeezing her slender hand. Sangi was excited, bouncing up and down as she counted along with everyone else.

Together, everyone yelled “3...2...1...Happy New Year!”

Matthew grabbed Chelsea, dipped her low before he gave her one of his famous black and white movie kisses. She kissed him back deeply, a smile playing on both of their lips. She couldn’t wait to see what the New Year held for all of them.

  My Russian Dream Preview

Here's a preview of My Russian Dream, the first book in the series:

The wave seemed to be thirty feet high; she watched it from the shore, rooted to the spot. It was coming for her and there was nothing she could do about it. Her whole body was frozen. She opened her mouth to scream, but her vocal cords were not working either. The huge black wave came closer and closer; but just before it engulfed her in silently screaming agony, she woke up.

Sophie Devereaux had this dream a lot, especially when she was stressed. Ever since Hurricane Katrina had forced her ejection from her home and the loss of her family. She shrugged inwardly trying to shake the dream. Her grandfather Elijah was still with her – that was something at least. But her little brother Joseph was in the wind and her grandmother had been too weak to run. They had tried to save her, but the waves had engulfed the house before they could get the wheelchair out. Sophie and her grandfather had moved to Boston after searching in vain for her brother. There was no news of him that they could find – not in the refugee camps, the message boards, nowhere. Grandpa Elijah had gone back to work as a watchmaker. He had been well known in New Orleans as a master craftsman; here in Boston, he worked in anonymity in the back room of a jeweler’s while Sophie interned at an accounting firm. She was trying to earn her qualifications as an accountant. It might not be a happy life, but it was theirs at least.
