Heavenly Sin
Sin and I married a year later. He wanted to do it sooner, but I wanted the traditional wedding. I finished school. Don’t ask me how because Sin was a fulltime job. I moved in with him, or should say I never left, after the night he asked me to marry him. We were going to work on his control issues. At least that’s what I said.
It was impossible to deny him anything. When a man gives you so much love it’s hard to tell him no. Don’t let that hard outer shell fool you. Beneath that bad boy attitude, he’s a pussycat. I’ll deny it if you tell him I said so.
I gave up the dancing idea permanently. I really didn’t like the idea of flaunting my stuff for anyone but Sin, and it kept him from killing people. I decided that was a fair trade. We did enjoy private dances in his studio. Those nights we spent dancing were some of the hottest we ever had.
Sin wasn’t the only one that didn’t like sharing. I preferred keeping that beautiful body all to myself. I’d grown some claws. I knew he loved me, that didn’t mean I wouldn’t dress down a girl who got a little too frisky with my man.
The strip club kept him surrounded with sexy women. Since I now did the hiring, they were taught real quick who made the rules. I never thought I’d used my business degree to run a bar, but it wasn’t our only company.
Outside of the toy store, I had my own studio. I taught gymnastics. Mom was really proud that I’d finally used the talents my dad had given me instead of hiding them away in painful memories.
We paid off her house in Mississippi and moved her and Burke into a new place in Chicago. She was living out a long distance relationship with the man she mentioned when I visited. I really hoped things worked out for her.
It was great having my mom so close by. Finally she got the chance to stop worrying. Sin had fallen in love with her the first time they met. I would have been jealous if it had been any other woman. We were all just one big happy family.
Looking down at the tiny strip of plastic, I knew our family was about to expand. I wanted to run out of the bathroom and call Sin, but he was closing out end of the month at the bar.
I decided to surprise him over dinner when he came home instead. A little Sin. The thought made me smile. I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face when I shared the news.

ABOUT MICHELLE HUGHES
I love writing, from an early age I was fascinated with Harlequin Romance Novels. I would sneak them from my Granny's bedroom and hide in the bathroom to read them at eight years old. There was never a time in my life when I didn't want to entertain people. I started singing at three, I kid you not! The insurance man would pay me a quarter to sing Delta Dawn and I was hooked! My world has always been about the dream of someday making it big.
These days I'm a mom to five wonderful kids, wife to the greatest fisherman on earth (with a real job) and an author. It still amazes me when people buy my books. I began my writing career by roleplaying on Twitter. After I grew tired of making up stories for the world of True Blood, I sat down and decided to write my own vampire love story, and it's been non-stop since. I created the Tears of Crimson series, then moved on to contemporary romance.
No matter where this writing dream leads, I've had a blast learning the publishing industry. I can honestly say that I've loved every minute of my life because I followed my dreams. I wish you all the luck in the world living out your own!
