Angie McKeon. I met you before I started writing this book, when I was writing another one that is lost somewhere in my files. You read that and encouraged me to keep going and never stop. You have listened to me cry and get excited. You have listened to me freak out and always calmed me down, helping me see reason. You are a wonderful friend and I’m thankful to be yours. Your blog, Angie’s Dreamy Reads, has helped get my name out and I will always be grateful.

Karyn Luke. You read Distorted from the very beginning. You saw each change and cheered me on when I thought it sucked. How many times did I tell you I was quitting and you threatened me every time? If it weren’t for you, I’d never have been able to complete this book and you will never know how much that means to me. You came in my life when I needed you most. You have a special place in my heart. I love you and would say something from one of our many inside jokes here but I’d better stay silent. You know what it is.

Fred LeBaron. Holy heck, Fred, where do I begin? I’ll never forget seeing your name for the first time in our lovely BA group and thinking, ‘There’s a man in here now?’ Well little did I know how much that man would mean to me in my writing journey. You are one of the most genuine and kind men I have ever met and I am so grateful to call you a friend. Your love and support for Distorted has meant more to me than you’ll ever know and there is no one else I’d rather have for my head cheerleader. You rock and I look forward to more discussions in our future.

Vanessa Proehl. Little did I know how much a random Facebook message would help me with my book. Telling you I was writing a book and you telling me you needed to beta read it made a world of difference in how Distorted turned out. Your words of support and your suggestions to make it better did just that. I love your distinct personality and I never once had to question if you meant what you said. Thank you for listening to me when I felt like I wasn’t good enough and letting me know in your awesome way that in fact, I am. You are now a forever beta reader of mine, whether you want it or not. You’re stuck.

Special thanks to: Laura Ayers, Author Kyla Linde, Janet Elison, Maryanne Lyon, Pam Hutton, Amy Haigler, Author Madeline Sheehan, Author Crystal Serowka, Jennifer Diaz, and Taryn Cellucci. You all hold a special place in my heart.

The Readers and Bloggers. Thank you for giving Distorted a chance. You are what make writing a book worth it.

  Thanks dpgroup forum.

Laura Dunaway has been married to her prince for 17 years and together they are raising three amazing kids. While she’s always had a passion for reading and writing, it wasn’t until this past year that she finally realized she should pursue her dream of writing a book. After many many attempts at starting one, Distorted was finally the one that flowed and before she knew it, she’d written The End. When she’s not busy shuttling her kids to lessons and practices and making dinner, she’s busy behind her computer writing her next book.
