  “But today—”

  “Yesterday,” she shrieked, unable to contain her elation a second longer. “We miscounted. I was due yesterday !”

  “You’re pregnant!”

  “I’m pregnant!” Though the very best part at that moment was the joy in his eyes.

  He swept her up off the ground and around, then held her in his arms so tightly that she thought she would burst with the excitement of it all. When he set her down, he put his face level with hers. “When did it happen?”

  “One of the hundred times we made love in the last two weeks.”

  “But you didn’t feel anything. No little spark. No woman’s intuition.”

  She started to laugh. “How could I feel anything but you? That was all I felt those times. Just you.”

  And there was a message in that.
