Calling to the earth, air, water and fire, Blair dropped one piece of the snake-like creature into the magical fire as she sang to the elements. Her power at her strongest combined with Dietrich’s and Gray’s.

Sweat dripped down her chest and onto her stomach as she dropped the last worm slug into the blue fire and started reciting the last and the most important part of the ritual.

Where there should be no wind, a strong breeze drifted over her when Dietrich moved his body with hers in a dance to make any man or woman hot.

“In the name of the earth, air, water, fire, we bind you to the flame which burns as long as we do. You will hide no more Jamael, we are everywhere, we are one with the earth, air, water and fire. We cast you Jamael to the wind so he may smell you, we bury you in the earth so he may taste you, we clean you with water so she may seep in your skin tracing you, and last the fire inside you burns inside us joining us together for all time. We join our energies, fellow friends in the Craft, you cannot escape. So mote it be, so mote it be.”

Both of them sang this three times as the others joined in. As they sang the last round, the torches flickered, spiders and scorpions crawled out of the walls. Snakes covered the floor and the building started to tremble, but everyone held their spots as they finished the last words of the ritual.

Blair glanced up at Dietrich, her nails dug into his arms, as the binding took hold. A cold shiver went up her spine all of sudden feeling dirty. She glanced at her sisters who turned to her and nodded. They too felt the connection and it seemed Jamael was closer than anyone had thought.

  Chapter Thirteen

Dietrich held onto Blair as a whirlwind blew through the dining room. Jack moved through the room, banishing the creatures that covered the floor. When all was clear, his wife knelt and whispered the words of thanks as she broke the circle.

She glanced back at him, her dark green eyes filled with the knowledge of what was to come. “You’re going to meet him head on, aren’t you?”

He took her small hand and helped her stand as he covered Blair’s body in a pair of jeans and a sweater. Dietrich now wore a pair of black leather pants, hiking boots, his sword strapped to his back over a black flannel shirt. “I want this mess behind us. I want our lives to have a fresh start.” He glanced up as Gray and Jax moved to either side of them and as one all three of them got down on one knee in front of Blair.

The room fell silent as everyone watched, but they only had eyes for Blair. She glanced around her, then back at him. “Get up Dietrich. What are you doing?” She tried to pull him up, but he held her dainty hands in his grasp and refused to move.

“Blair, look at us.” Her hands started to tremble, but she held his gaze, taking a deep breath. “We have not known you long, we are husband and wife according to our heritage, but I know you have dreamed of a wedding, like that of old days. So we ask you here and now in front of our god and our families.”

Jax handed him the ring they had chosen, the triad symbol covered in diamonds and gold. He slipped the ring onto her finger. “When this is done this night, and Blair it will be done this night. We would ask for your hand in marriage. Will you marry us Blair, this weekend, in front of our families and in the presence of our god. We promise to protect you and your family always, but most of all in this short of time you have taken over our hearts.”

Jax leaned in and placed his hand on theirs. “You are our angel, the one that binds us together.”

Gray covered Jax’s hand. “We know you will keep us in line, but most of all, we know there is no other woman for us. We see no one but you and we want no other. Let us grow together, to love.”

“To worship your body and mind,” Jax finished for Gray.

Dietrich squeezed her hand. “Will you be our everything Blair?”

Tears dripped down her cheeks as she glanced around the room and turned her attention to all three of them. “I’m stubborn and have never opened myself up to anyone before. You three ask for all and I want to give it to you, but I’m afraid. I’ve fought all my life…” She rubbed her face on her shoulder brushing the tears away.

“Teach me to trust…” She kneeled in front of them. “I’ll be your wife, but I ask for one thing from all three of you.”

He glanced at Gray then at Jax, before they all nodded. “What would you like Blair?”

“We discuss anything and everything. I want to be your love slave, but in our marriage, I won’t have anything else, but a partnership. Can you three live with that?”

Gray snorted next to him and he laughed. “Blair you haven’t been in our world long, but we will teach you. One of the most important aspects about the world we live in is trust, communication. You will always be our partner in everything we do, even in the club below.”

Blair’s eyes lit up and she smiled her skin turned a slight pink color. “Well if that is the case would you mind if we have our wedding outside, in the clearing I saw earlier?”

Dietrich stood as did Gray and Jax pulling Blair into his arms. “You plan it and it will happen. Jack has agreed to stay and marry us.” He kissed her lips softly. “I want you and your sisters to stay in the house, the walls will protect you.”

She shook her head. “Let me come and help you.” Blair‘s grasped onto his arms grew tight and smiled at her.

“We will be fine. This isn’t the first time we have had to go into battle.” He kissed her nose and stepped back when Jax pulled her into his arms.

“We will be leaving guards all around the compound outside. Be safe inside Blair. If we even hear of your foot stepping outside these walls, you will be punished. We can’t concentrate on what has to be done if we are worried about you.” Jax tilted her back, Blair’s hair dragged on the ground.

“There better not be one scratch, or you haven’t seen how angry I will get.” Blair countered before Jax kissed her.

Dietrich laughed and glanced up as the Green Man patted his back. “Congratulations old man. You do know you could encounter more than you believe is there if you go after him?”

“We have no choice. It’s time this headache is banished back underground. Plus, how can we move on if our woman is always looking over her shoulder. They all need to know about their parents. No one should be stuck in limbo.” Dietrich snapped the last part. “Sorry, guess it’s still a touchy subject.”

Jack nodded. “And mine, believe me. Jamael has done this one too many times. I have my army searching now. We are close. Either way…” He nodded to Blair and her family as they all gathered around her, hugging her. “I’ll bring them back to say their good-byes. Their time was up long ago, but to be left in limbo without moving into the next world is wrong. For their suffering, I will give them this one chance to say good-bye and to watch their oldest wed.”

Dietrich, Jax and Gray all knelt before Jack. “Thank you, what you promise will bring such joy to them all. Once more we are humbled by your gift.” Dietrich turned and glanced towards the West as he stood. “It’s time, he’s on the move.”

Over two hundred men surrounded him and waited for their orders. Blair stood next to him as he glanced out at the number of them men then down at her. “Tonight…” She placed her finger on his lips.

“I will be watching, if you need my power, please use it.” She put her hand out and a black leather string appeared in her hand. Attached to it was a wolf charm surrounded by a lock of her hair. She held it open as he lowered his head down to her so she could tie the choker.

“This is so you will always have a piece of me with you. The wolf is our animal now and it will protect all of us. Dietrich…” Her eyes filled with tears and she grasped his shirt tightly. “Come back to me…” She pulled him down and whispered in his ear. “I understand you are the best when it comes to flogging, I think it’s time for me to sample it, don’t you?” She nipped his ear and tried to jump back, but he caught her around the waist.

“Oh my dear, you are bad. It’s going to be my pleasure to show you m
y toys. Now give me a kiss and get in the house.” He wrapped her hair around his hand and pulled her head back while he plunged his tongue into her mouth, dueling with hers.

The men all around them hooted and whistled as he broke the kiss and smiled at her. “Go, Gray is waiting for you.” He swatted her ass as she moved out of his arms.

Blair jumped and glanced over her shoulder. “Umm…” She licked her bottom lip. “Can’t wait.” She laughed as Dietrich snarled and took off towards Gray. He caught her and swung her around, teasing her. Her laughter brought a peace to his heart as nothing had done over the years.

Not waiting, Dietrich nodded to the first group and they disappeared, heading toward their target. Jax nodded to him as he shifted and took off into the woods with his men. Gray disappeared with the second regiment of men. With one last glance over his shoulder, Blair stood in the doorway, tears slipped down her cheeks; her long red hair blew gently around her as he disappeared, heading towards the battle now in full force.

  * * * *

Blair stood in the doorway, Lizzy and Opal next to her as she watched Dietrich give the orders to his men. He stood tall, with wide shoulders, the black flannel shirt was snug against his muscular form. The black leather pants hid nothing, as he moved through the crowd of men, his long black hair tied back with a leather wrap.

“I do have to admit you have three of the most amazing men. Look at that ass, it’s enough to drool over.” Opal nodded to Jax as he grinned and shifted to what had to be some kind of beast form. He stood over seven feet tall, with a large snout, but his eyes were the same as he met her gaze before taking off.

“Be careful Jax, and keep that cute butt free from scars.” Blair teased him and he howled, taking off towards the woods. “He does have a cute ass, doesn’t he? Don’t worry, Opal, I’m sure when you find the man you are supposed to be with, you will drool over him too.” Blair smiled and patted her arm as she turned her attention towards Gray, who now moved through a different group of men.

He wore gray leather pants, his dark brown hair was braided down his back with two black feathers in it. Gray only wore a black muscle tee shirt showing off the wolf tattoo on his arm. Turning, Gray smiled and nodded to her. His mouth was sinful by itself, with his full lips and what he could do with his tongue should be outlawed.

Blair giggled and he arched his eyebrow as if he could hear her from a distance. She stopped moving and held his gaze. “Can you hear me too?”

Gray threw his head back and laughed. “Honey, all three of us have been able to hear you since the Triad.” He and his men disappeared on his last word.

Her face heated and she glanced at Dietrich who turned to her. Blair could have sworn fire danced in his eyes as he slowly moved his down her body.

“Damn sis, you’re lucky you still have clothes on the way he’s looking at you.” Lizzy teased her.

She smiled and watched as Dietrich disappeared. “Go inside Blair.”

Blair snorted and turned to go inside all the while watching the events unfold around her men. Jax and his men had just joined the others in surrounding the large underground haven. Gray and his group came in from the South while Dietrich now came in from the North. Magic filled the area, but something wasn’t right. Blair stumbled and stopped as she once more followed the bond back to Jamael. But something wasn’t right instead of one path to this demon there was two.

Lizzy and Opal glanced back at her and frowned. “What?”

“Jacob! Kirt, Tony, I need you now!” Blair called for her brothers behind her to follow her as ran past her sisters and through the hall up the stairs towards their private quarters. “He’s here Dietrich!”

The doors opened and she stopped dead. Jacob, or Jamael, held Betsy in his arms, all the while he smiled at her. “Nice of you to finally to join me. I don’t know why you performed that ceremony earlier. All you had to do was call to me and I would have been happy to come for you. After all, you are mine.”

“Do you really think I would call you, when I have three of the most handsome men alive, please. Release her Jamael, or are you one of those sick bastards that is into children.”

The demon hissed and his claw like hand tightened on Betsy’s arms. “Move away from your family and come to me Blair, then I’ll release her.”

“What the hell are you doing? Get away from him now. I forbid this!” Dietrich snapped, he felt close.

She snorted. “Forbid all you want!” Blair wasn’t about to let Betsy be hurt. Grabbing onto her sisters power, with a spell on her lips, she circled Betsy.

Jamael hissed and grabbed at the empty air as Betsy disappeared from the room. “How? Not even you are that powerful.” The demon lunged for her, but Dietrich appeared in front of her, sending his sword straight into the demon’s chest.

The sword would not kill him, but it would paralyze him long enough for Dietrich to banish him to the world below, and make it his home for the next few centuries.

Turning, Blair ran smack into Gray’s chest. She glanced up to see a very pissed off wizard staring down at her. “Jax take her to the new room. We’ll be there in a minute.” Gray moved up to Dietrich’s side as both of them started to recite the spell.

The beast’s fur brushed against her skin as Jax shifted as he lifted her up over his shoulder and slapped her ass when she tried to get up. “Don’t even try it Blair. We are so furious you put yourself at risk.” Jax snarled while they moved past her sisters.

Lizzy stepped in his way and blocked his path. “What do you think you are doing? She saved Dietrich’s daughter. Put her down now!” Lizzy hissed and she smiled until one of her sisters mates scooped her up and threw her over his shoulder.

“You need to mind your business. This is between the four of them. Right now you have an appointment with your husbands.” Henry smacked her ass and disappeared from the hallway.

Blair wrapped her arms around Jax’s neck and slid her body down into his arms. She stared up at his handsome face, his black and white hair hung down his back and his dark brown eyes stared straight ahead. “Why?” Blair reached up and traced the small scar on his cheek.

His eyebrows crinkled and Jax glanced down at her. “Why? Why are we furious? Do you really have to ask?”

Blair took a deep breath and laid her head on his chest when he pushed into another hallway. “Do you know that for most of my life I have never been afraid of anything, but when my parents died or whatever it is they are, it was the first time I was truly scared. Not because I was all alone, but because I was afraid of letting them down. Of not being able to take care of my sisters and brothers right. In less than two hours I went from just worrying about myself to having fourteen children to take care, arrange a funeral, and take care of a large estate.” Blair glanced at the room they entered as he lowered her feet to the floor.

The walls of the room were covered in black padded leather, manacles at different levels attached around the room, strange furniture she knew belong in the world of Domination filled the room, and a large oversized king bed took up one corner of the room. As she traced her hand over the large wooden table, a chill rose over her skin. “When I knew he was in the house, I knew the one place he would attack. Someone who could do nothing against him. Even my daughter Aimee can damage him, but Betsy, she was useless against him and once more that fear, the fear that starts in the middle of your stomach and spreads throughout your body rushed over me. There is no way I could have stopped protecting her or any child.” Blair turned to glance back, Dietrich, Gray and Jax stood at the entrance of the room.

“I will always, no matter what, protect a child and to ask me to leave a child, any child in the hands of such a creature…” She shook her head and turned to stroll to another piece of furniture and studied it. “The first few months after mom and dad died I would tuck Lizzy and Tony into bed each night. I made a promise to them and myself. As long as I lived, no child, and I mean no child, would feel hurt or suffer. I’ve kept that promise and
I will continue to do so. So if your plan is to punish me for what I did, well go for it, but it won’t stop me.” Blair jumped up on the bed and stared at them. “I will try and do as you say, but if a child is in danger, don’t ask me to walk away when I know I can help. I won’t listen. Maybe you should ask what you can do to help me?”

Dietrich lifted his shirt off and threw it to the floor as did Gray. Jax was already naked from his shift. They moved through the room to stand in front of her. Dietrich held out his hand to her, but didn’t say a word. Did she trust them, that was the question?

  Chapter Fourteen

Dietrich watched the play of emotions run across the face of their little witch. Oh he was furious, but not with her, with himself. Would she trust him after the way he had bungled this whole situation? It was late. Everyone was trying to wind down after what they thought would be a battle turned out to be naught. Only a handful of renegade vampires had joined Jamael’s cause.
