Jackie, Cherie, and Trina gave her a cold, hard stare; this scared her.

Willow looked confused. “What’s up? What’s with the looks?”

“What’s with you just telling your ex that you were at my house on Saturday night and not yours, huh?!” Jackie said.

“I didn’t say that,” Willow lied.

“Willow, don’t fuckin’ play games with us, okay? We were standing right around this corner, we heard what you said,” Jackie said.

“I meant to say my house. Sorry,” Willow said.

“Like hell you did!” Jackie replied.

Willow sighed as she looked at the floor, unsure of what to say.

“Did you really tell those fuckin’ cops that you were at my house or yours? Which one is it?” Jackie asked.

  “Does it matter?!” Willow asked.

“Yeah, it fuckin’ matters!” Jackie said.

“We could all be in a lot of trouble here, Willow, so what is up with you lying to us?” Trina asked.

“And you know they’re looking at the four of us more closely because of that picture of us standing outside of the front door of Felicity’s house,” Cherie reminded Willow.

Willow sighed. “Look, I know all of that, okay? How was I supposed to know what to say when they asked me where was I on Saturday? Huh? I wasn’t in the room with the three of you, and I didn’t get a chance to talk to you all before I went in to talk to those cops. I got confused, okay? They can’t prove anything.”

“I know they can’t, and I also know that as long as Felicity is still layin’ up in that hospital they’re gonna think we had something to do with putting her there. We can’t have those cops turning us against one another because that’s exactly what they’re gonna try and eventually do, and I believe they already started by having you talk to them separately from us, Willow,” Jackie said.

“You don’t have to worry about that, Jackie, and neither do the two of you. They’re not gonna turn any of us against each other. We’re all together and we’re gonna stick together,” Willow promised.

They all smiled at each other and nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Sloan went to go meet the person who sent him a text. “Hey, man. What’s up? What did you wanna talk to me about?” he asked Reamer!

Reamer sighed. “Well, it’s really been bothering me about who let the world of social media know about Felicity insulting my size, man. Those cops asked me about it when I talked to them on Saturday, and it was really embarrassing, man, and with that kind of embarrassment, I know I’m pretty high on the suspect list.”

Sloan shrugged. “I don’t know who put that info on social media, man. Maybe it was Felicity. You know how much shit she put up about people and then claimed that it was someone else who said or did something. That was all in the game of her fuckery. You know how people can say something and claim that someone else said it when it was really them, and then someone else who sees it can claim that this person said it and so on and so on. I wouldn’t worry about it, dude. It doesn’t appear to me and to anyone that Felicity’s gonna be bothering anyone anytime soon, maybe never again.”

  “And you’re happy about that?”

“No, man, I’m not happy about it at all. But the bottom line is that she shouldn’t be surprised that she’s in the condition that she’s in. I don’t want her to die from her injuries, but they’re saying that there’s a high probability that she’s going to. She’s not getting any better, that’s what Erin told me.”

Reamer’s head hung low. “I really liked her, and I thought I had a chance with her. If she doesn’t make it, I’ll never have a second chance for her to be mine.”

Sloan stared at him. “Man, listen. If there’s a tiny chance that Felicity does come out of this, only time will tell if she’ll change, and if she does come out of this, I would sure hope that she would. Maybe she won’t be the same and that will be a good thing, considering the fact that the kind of person that she is got her where she’s at to begin with. But just remember what she said about you, man, when I had you on the phone with me. You heard it with your own ears. I just hope that if she ends up coming out of this that she’s a whole different person and realizes that she got a second chance at life and decides to change for the better, then you can decide if she’s still worth pursuing.”

Reamer nodded at him with a slight smile. “Oh, and one more thing. Do you know who took Felicity’s phone?”

Sloan tried not to gasp as he stared at him. “How did you know about her phone being missing? Did Erin tell you?”

“Yeah, she told me,” Reamer replied.

“Okay, well, I just wanted to know because Erin was at the police station on Saturday night talking to those cops and she was told about the phone that was stolen out of their car and asked her what did it look like. She described it to them and they said that it was Felicity’s phone that was stolen out of their car, but not to tell anyone about it and that it was a piece of information that they didn’t want the media to know just in case it came up somewhere. She said she only told me about it because I’m her ex, but she didn’t tell me she told anyone else,” Sloan informed him.

“Oh, okay,” Reamer said. He looked at his watch. “Well, the bell is gonna ring soon. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Okay,” Sloan said, and watched him walk off. He waited until he was out of sight, and then called Erin.

Meanwhile, Erin was on her way to school and heard her phone ringing in her backpack as it sat on the front seat of her car. “Shit!” she said, as she tried to reach for her backpack with her right hand while trying to keep her eyes on the road. Her phone stopped ringing. “Dammit!”

A minute later, it rang again, and she was able to get it out of her backpack while she was at a stoplight. She saw that it was Felicity’s mom, Catherine. “Hi, Catherine.”

“Erin! We need for you to come to the hospital right away! Felicity’s condition has drastically improved! She’s trying to talk to us!”

  Chapter 32

Felicity’s drastically-improved condition spread like wildfire through her school and set social media sites ablaze. No one thought this would happen, and it was apparent that her condition was improving by the hour. She was now able to talk to her family, Erin, as well as the doctors and nurses that were treating her. Her voice was soft and frail, which was a stark contrast to how she naturally talked. But she was very much alert, and very much alive. Her prognosis had changed greatly. She was going to survive her ordeal, and none of the suspects at her school who were interviewed by Sherwood and Seals wanted to comment on this latest development, and neither did a suspect who didn’t go to her school, Carson.

Felicity continued to go in and out of sleep as her family and Erin stayed by her side. The doctors advised them not to ask her that much about what happened to her yet, and told them that as soon as she’s completely out of the woods and able to go back home, then they can discuss it with her, but that’s only if she wanted to talk about it.

But Sherwood and Seals wanted to know all they could from her since they were investigating the case, but were told that Felicity hadn’t told her family or Erin anything about that night so there was nothing new for them to know, but the doctors informed them that her memory will come back about the incident and that if Felicity agreed to talk about it then she should by all means talk to them about it, especially since there were so many suspects that they had when it came to what happened to her.

Sherwood and Seals left the hospital with no updated information other than the fact that it was confirmed that Felicity will survive.

“This is unbelievable,” Seals said. “I really thought she wasn’t gonna make it. I guess she really has a strong will to live.”

“And since she’s going to, I hope she changes for the better because if she doesn’t she could quite possibly be in this situation again, and the next time she may not survive at all,” Sherwood said.

  “Oh, absolutely. But I’m glad
that this is over in terms of knowing if she was gonna survive or not, but now that we know that she is, we don’t have to hand this over to the homicide department so there’s still work to do. I’m just afraid that someone is still gonna try and finish the job on her. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s possible. Look what happened in the hospital?”

“I’ve been thinking about that, too. We definitely need to talk to all of our suspects again and especially now to get their reactions about her surviving and if they think she’ll be attacked again. I know what they’ll probably say, but we need to hear it for ourselves and have it for our records for this case, because I have a feeling that we’re not gonna be closing this case anytime soon. And we still need to talk to Audrey Gold and especially this Max Benson that Erin told us about, but I can’t seem to find anything about him,” Sherwood said.

Seals nodded. “Well, we still can, but I don’t think Audrey had anything to do with what happened to Felicity. But this Max is someone we do need to look into if we can ever find him, but it’s really not a rush now since Felicity’s gonna survive,” she replied. “But, yeah, we’re definitely thinking along the same lines about this case. I even told Murdock that even though it’s confirmed that Felicity is alive, we’re not through with this case by a long shot.”

“Very true. This is not the last we’re gonna hear about fuck girl Felicity, as people call her,” Sherwood said, as he slightly grinned.

“Absolutely not,” Seals said, as she returned the grin in agreement.

Meanwhile, at St. Vincent’s Military Academy, the school that Taylor attends, he was in the locker room getting dressed after Gym while he talked to his friends Rock, Javon, Jacob, and Chet about Felicity’s miraculous recovery.

“So, you can tell us, dude. How do you feel about her surviving what happened to her?” Chet asked.

“I’m glad she did. You know I didn’t want her to die, man,” Taylor replied, and then slipped on his plain white T-shirt.

His friends all looked at each other as they also got dressed.

“You sure weren’t acting like you wanted her to survive, man, especially after that picture she put up of you getting your dick sucked by her, and her making fun of your girl’s fall in the middle of the street,” Jacob said.

“Well, there’s nothing that I can do about it so why should I be mad about it anymore? A lot of people say shit like what I said, it doesn’t mean that they want someone to die over their fuckery. I still have Hunter so everything’s fine. I don’t care about Felicity because she’ll always be a fuck girl and not caring about anyone but herself. If she lives for a long time, she’ll end up dying alone because she would’ve fucked with about a billion people throughout her life and no one would wanna have anything to do with her,” Taylor predicted.

“Damn, man. That’s cold!” Rock said.

“It may sound cold, but it’s the truth,” Taylor replied.

“Well, are you gonna visit her when she gets home from the hospital?” Javon asked.

Taylor shrugged. “I don’t know, man.”

“Why do you say that?” Javon asked.

“Because I just wanna respect her and her family’s privacy. I don’t wanna seem like I’m all obsessed with wanting to see how she is and being over her house and getting some of the first pictures of her to post on social media because that’s exactly what people are gonna want me to do since everyone who knows her and knows about what happened to her knows that I live across the street from her,” Taylor replied.

“And why wouldn’t you do that?” Chet asked.

Taylor sighed. “Look, I don’t wanna talk about this anymore, okay? It’s clear that Felicity’s gonna survive, so when she goes home then I’ll just keep a respectable distance until it’s okay to see how she is for you guys so y’all shut the fuck up asking me about her!” he said with a grin.

  They all laughed.

“See if you can get some pictures of her tits, man!” Rock said with a laugh.

“Yeah!” the rest replied with a laugh.

Taylor threw his uniform top at them. “That’s all y’all think about! Damn!”

They all laughed as they finished getting dressed, and then left the locker room.

Several minutes later, Tierney, Taylor’s younger brother, met up with him in the hall. Taylor was alone. “Hey, bro. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you about what everyone’s talking about.”

Taylor sighed. “No, you don’t. So, what do you wanna know about it that I can’t tell you about?”

“Why do you say that?” Tierney asked.

“Because I don’t know what happened to her and who did it, that’s why.”

“Tay, I saw you come home after midnight on that Saturday night, like, around one-thirty in the morning. There was a car right behind you like it was following you, and it pulled into the driveway of the Gains’ home . . . but it wasn’t Felicity’s car or one of her parent’s cars, and even though it was still raining really hard, I knew it.”

Taylor stopped walking. “Just what are you tryin’ to say, Tier?”

“Listen, Tay. It just struck me as odd that this car pulled up in their driveway that was right behind you. I was downstairs looking out of the front window in the dining room since I’d come downstairs to make a snack. I went to the kitchen so it didn’t look like I was waiting for you to come home, and then you walked in the door a minute later and asked me did I wanna watch that movie that I’ve been wanting to see for that whole week. It was one-thirty in the morning, Tay. I didn’t feel like watching a movie, but you forced me to watch it. I never asked you about why you were so insistent on me watching that movie with you at that moment, but I’m asking you now, why?”

Taylor kept staring at him. “No reason, Tier. I wasn’t tired, that’s all. Look, I don’t wanna talk about this anymore, okay? I gotta get to class and you need to do the same. I’ll see you later,” he said, and then walked off from him.

Tierney stared at him as he walked away, but wasn’t fully buying what he’d said.

Meanwhile, at Chardon Rosalie Welsing Academy, Stacia’s boarding school, almost everyone she knew — and people that she didn’t know — were telling her that Felicity was going to survive her ordeal since she wasn’t on social media, and even showed her the picture that’s been trending on social media since the news broke — a picture of Felicity sitting up in her hospital bed all smiles with a still badly-beaten face as Erin sat on one side of her and her family on the other. She couldn’t take it anymore with all of the questions people were asking her in regards to it since after all, she was a suspect in the case. She went back to her room and closed her door and locked it, but before she could make a call to Jay, her phone rang. She sighed as she pressed the button to talk. “Hey, Jay. I was just about to call you. So she’s officially gonna make it, huh?”

“Yeah, that’s what I was calling you about since I know that you’re not on any social media, but I know that all of your friends are and that they told you about it,” he said.

She sighed. “Yeah, they did. I just don’t know what to say about all of this. This bitch is just gonna probably go on with her life still fucking with people and ruining girl’s expensive purses and accusing girls who look better than her of being a guy.”

“Well, I wouldn’t worry about her, Stacia. She’s lucky that she survived, and the sad thing is, girls like that won’t ever change. It’ll be a shock if she does, but I seriously doubt it. Girls like her would have to die to learn their lesson, and since that didn’t happen to her then I know she didn’t learn her lesson at all.”

She sighed. “Yeah, I know she didn’t. I just don’t want those cops coming up here anymore since that bitch is gonna survive. I mean, she’s gonna survive the good ass beating that she got, but my rep is ruined forever for what she called me and posted all over social media. I’m still seeing pictures of the two of us at Moves and people saying that I’m a guy, Jay! That stuff is forever out there! It could possibly a
ffect future relationships that I get in no matter what kind they are! And I’m already having guys looking at me at this school and almost everywhere wondering if I’m really a guy! Do I have to start showing people my fucking twat to prove to them that I’m a girl?! WHAT?! And this was never a fucking issue before that bitch said that shit about me and posted it all over social media just because she was jealous of the fact that all of your attention was on me and not her, so I don’t give a fuck how I sound but I’m really fucking pissed that the bitch survived!”

He sighed. “And you have every right to be, Stacia. Look, there’s nothing that we can do about her surviving, and just remember, you’re not the only one that’s had your rep ruined by her for life because I have, too. If we just stick together about this and people don’t believe everything they hear then people will know the truth about us. We know the truth about us, so the only person we should be concerned with is us. You just can’t explain it how some people can live through all of the fuckery they cause people, end up getting their ass severely beaten over it like what happened to her and was still predicted to not make it even just yesterday, and now she’ll be going home and probably going back to Moves every Friday and Saturday night as if nothing happened to her.”

“I don’t even wanna see that bitch at Moves anymore! If I’m there and I see her, who knows what the hell I’ll do!”

“I think everyone who Felicity caused fuckery to is saying that, Stacia, and it doesn’t matter where they see her at . . . and I’m one of them.”

  Chapter 33

  TWO MONTHS LATER

Felicity checked herself out in Betty, her selfie mirror, as she took her selfies with her new phone. She was ready to post her first selfie since her incident, since she had all-new social media accounts and wanted to create all-new memories, but what she wanted far from her memory was what happened to her two months earlier, and she still hadn’t talked at all about the incident that put her in the hospital and had her fighting for her life.
