“Saying it out loud makes you sound like a loser though,” Alicia says, pissing on Matt’s parade.

“You can’t be serious?” he pouts, making his lower lip quiver.

“You should feel special that we are hanging onto you like you’re God's gift to mankind.” I nod and grin, Alicia agrees with me.

“Bitches.” He snickers and opens the door to the restaurant for us. “Ladies.”

“Going from bitches to ladies? Changing your game plan rather quickly there, Matthew.” I grin and walk in with Alicia.

“I gotta stay on top of my game, what can I say? I’m the best.” He smirks and we follow our waitress. We come here so often that she doesn't pay attention to our shenanigans anymore. She seats us in our usual booth and gives us a bowl of prawn crackers while we look over the menu.

“We want to know everything that went on. Don’t leave a single detail out,” Matt demands.

“You know we were invited to Valentine’s Halloween party, right? Well, we got there and Valentine asked Spencer to have a chat. They walked off and left me with Valentine’s sister, she’s a sweetheart and we get along well so I didn’t mind. Anyway, we went to our booth and had some fun, drinks, dancing and all that good stuff. While they were having their 'man talk', they planned this trip to Valentine’s cabin. Apparently he offered for us to go spend some private time there, because we needed it or something. So we went and the place was absolutely amazing. You know those amazing pictures you see on Tumblr? Well, it was like Tumblr threw up all over the cabin and surrounding area. We didn’t leave the cabin much; we did hike once, but the rest of the time, well it was Spencer hiking me. We did enjoy the hot tub.” I smile as I remember how we spent our evenings.

“Did you fuck in it?” Matt asks and grins like a kid.

  “Yes.” I roll my eyes.

“Way to go, Gorgeous.” Matt goes to high five me, but I don’t move my hand. “Spoilsport.” He frowns and I chuckle.

  “Was it good?” Alicia asks.

“Yes. It was amazing. We talked the day before about how awkward it could get, but it was passionate and incredible.”

“Well you had an amazing time, that’s all that matters.” Matt smiles whilst rubbing my back.

“True that. It’s just seems surreal to think that he’s my boyfriend and not just my best friend anymore.”

“He’s not just your boyfriend, he’s your best friend as well. Anyone who saw you two together knew you were made to be together. Who in their right minds stay friends for as long as you did despite acting like a damn couple? No one but you two. I still can’t quite believe it took you two so long to realize it.” Matt chuckles.

“I know, I’m glad in a way that it happened when it did. We might have broken up if we had realized when we were younger.” I shrug.

“Who knows, but at least you’re together now.” Alicia smiles.

  “Finally.” I sigh happily.

We don't get much work done today, to say the least. We spent our morning and most of the afternoon when we returned to the office talking about what they all did for Halloween since everyone already knew about my night. Our chat goes from talking about Halloween to my favorite holiday, Christmas. We discuss what we all have planned and to be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing. It won't be mine and Spencer first Christmas together, actually, since his parents kicked him out, we’ve spent all of them together, but it’ll be our first one as a couple. I want to find something meaningful to give him this year by the man is impossible to shop for; he has everything he could ask for, including me. Jeez, his cockiness is rubbing off on me now!

We talk about getting together with our significant others for a pre-Christmas dinner the week before the madness begins. We all agree that Alicia and I are in charge of the Secret Santa which we are both really excited about.

Alicia and I are in the staff room, making another round of coffee. She looks nervous and fidgety.

“Everything okay?” I ask her suddenly worried.

“Yeah. Umh do you think I could move in with you temporarily? I broke up with my boyfriend, well he broke up with me, last night and I don’t have anywhere to stay.”

“Yes, of course. Why didn’t you mention it to the others?” I look at her confused.

“You know how they are.” She tries to pass it off as it not being important, but there’s more to it than what she’s sharing.

“What did he do?” I look at her warily as she subtly moves her hand to her face.

She hesitates for a moment and sighs. “He came home drunk, started talking shit and back handed me. I didn’t mention it because I didn’t want them to go and beat him up.” She shrugs.

“They should go kick his sorry ass.” I frown.

  “I know.” She smiles softly.

“You can stay at mine for as long as you want.”

“Thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me.”

“I have a pretty good idea. I was you not too long ago.” I give her a knowing look.

“That’s kinda why I asked you. I knew you would understand.” She gives me a small smile.

“Even if it hadn’t have happened, I’d still have said yes.” I wink at her.

“What are you two lovelies whispering about?” Matt asks walking into the staff room.

“Plotting your death,” I say as serious as I can.

“But I’m so nice!” He whines.

“Too nice, it’s suspicious.” I grin. He separates us and stands between the two of us, linking his arms with ours.

“I’m as nice as can be. Might be a bit perverted but that’s not too bad, is it?” He grins.

“Nah, you’re pretty alright.” I smile at him.

“Good.” He beams and walks with us back into the office. We are all greeted by a huge assortment of flowers and donuts.

“There’s a note.” Alicia smiles and picks it up, looking at the envelope. “It’s for you, Have.” She hands it to me and I open it.

I hope these flowers brighten your day as much as you brighten mine. If they don’t, I’m sure the donuts will.

  Love,

  Yours forever,

  Spencer xx

  “Oh he’s good.” Jorge chuckles.

“He is.” I sigh happily and grab my phone to send him a text.

Me: Just thinking about you brightens my day.

Spencer: So do you. Did you like them?

Me: Love them. They look amazing.

Spencer: What about the donuts? How many are left?

Me: Besides the one Matt is trying to steal from me, they’re all still there.

I slap Matt’s hand away. “Hands off. They. Are. Mine.” I give him an evil look before I look back to my phone.

Spencer: Don’t forget to share them. I love you, I have to go frolicking in the woods again lol <3

Me: Enjoy, beware of the ticks and I love you too. It’s no fun if I have to share them :(

Spencer: Thanks, now I’ll think one is crawling over me. Well you don’t want to make yourself sick…

Me: No, I don’t but still! Itsy bitsy ticky…

  Spencer: I’m in love with a weirdo…

Me: Don’t act like you don’t enjoy it.

  Spencer: Alright, I do.

  Me: Later, Angelface.

  Spencer: Later, Sweetbutt.

  Me: Sweetbutt?

Spencer: Yep, your ass is pretty freaking sweet :P

  Me: Nutter.

  Spencer: Love you too ;)

  Me: <3

“Alright, you can all have one, apparently I must share.” I pout and they all dig in.

The rest of the afternoon is rather quiet as we all focus on work after polishing off the box of donuts in the space of about ten minutes. We all love these heavenly sugary treats. We talk about random topics going from the economy to what we have planned for New Year's Eve; from how we all met our significant others to the use of sex toys. Don’t ask how we got on that subject, all I’m saying is that the instigator of that
topic was Matt.

Just as I leave work to go back to Spencer’s place, I make a quick stop at home to get my car and a surprise for him.

  CHAPTER 24

  Two Days Later

I smile feeling proud of myself and what I’ve managed to do. I’m standing in Spencer’s kitchen, wearing panties and one of his button down shirts, attempting to make the perfect meal before he gets home from his trip. I’ve been cooking since I arrived wanting to make sure everything is right and on time. He’s always the one cooking and taking care of me and for once I’ll be able to do the same for him.

I’ve decided to make cheese ravioli with chicken parmigiana and so far, fingers crossed, things are going well. I hope I don’t burn something, or the house, or myself. I wanted to make chocolate cake for dessert, but I didn’t have time so we’ll have to skip dessert tonight.

I smile as I dance around to Lady Gaga whilst cooking, or more like attempting to cook. I’m not a pro by any means, but it does surprisingly smell quite nice. I turn around and come face to face with a very surprised Spencer.

I scream bloody murder when I see him standing right behind me. “Are you trying to give me a fucking heart attack?”

  “Not particularly.” He chuckles.

“Hey you.” I smile as I start to calm down and lower the volume of the music.

“Hey yourself.” He smiles at me and kisses me deeply. He subtly backs me against the kitchen counter. He cups my face gently, slanting my head to the left, deepening the kiss. He claims my mouth completely without wasting any time and caresses my tongue with his. His right hand cradles the back of my head as his left travels down my body, grabbing hold of my hips and pulling my body flush against his.

“Wow. Maybe you should go on short trips more often,” I say breathlessly.

“Not the only reason why.” He smiles at me, he’s as excited as a kid in a candy store.

“I wonder what the other reason might be?” I ask.

“You moved in while I was away,” he whispers, resting his forehead against mine.

“Oh, you noticed,” I reply innocently.

“First thing I noticed before seeing you dancing around our kitchen wearing your panties and one of my shirts was Bernard sleeping on the couch and that table we struggled to get up to your flat.” He squeezes my ass in a possessive way. “I’m not sure I want to know how it got here.”

“No you don't, and is that so?” I smirk.

“You live here now. I'm never letting you go. Never ever.” He laughs happily, hugging me tight to his body and spins me around.

I squeal. “Put me down, Spence!”

“What made you decide to move in?”

  “Do I need a reason?”

“No, but you were so adamant to stay at yours until your lease was up. I’m just surprised, in a good way obviously, I get you here every day for the rest of our lives but I’m wondering what changed your mind.”

“Well, I always loved living with you, me wanting to stay at mine was just a way to regain some independence but after being with you at the cabin, even though it was such a short amount of time, I couldn’t face going back to my flat and being away from you. What really sealed the deal was the donuts and flowers.”

“So if I buy you flowers and donuts every day you’ll never leave me?” he asks and I can’t tell if he’s joking or not.

“You don’t need to, especially with the donuts, I’d become a chunky blob in no time.” I grin.

“I’d still love you,” he says and kiss my cheek.

  “You’re just saying that.”

“No I’m not and you know it.” He smiles. “How long do we have until the food is ready?”

  “Five, maybe ten minutes, why?”

“Can we turn down the heat? I want to christen my room with you.” He smirks.

“It was christened long ago.” I roll my eyes.

“The couch has been, well my old one, in case you hadn’t noticed. It'll need to be christened too. Anyway, nobody but you has ever touched my bed, let alone slept in it.”

  “Oh…”

“Yes, oh.” He smiles. “What do you say?”

I grin as I turn around and turn off the stove. “The food can wait a bit longer.”

“Good answer.” He chuckles and picks me up, throwing me over his shoulder. I squeal as he rushes up the stairs and playfully drops me on the bed.

“That was interesting.” I giggle as I land on the bed.

“I’ll give you something interesting to talk about with your girlfriends.” He smirks and grabs the collar of his shirt behind his neck, pulling it off in one swift move. I can’t help but stare at his perfectly sculpted chest. “Enjoying the view?” he asks with a smug look on his face.

“Very much so.” I match his smug look and slowly take off the shirt I’m wearing, leaving myself sitting in the middle of the bed in just my panties. He makes quick work of his pants and my underwear, throwing them away before joining me on the bed.

I sit up and make him lie down so I can crawl between his legs. Kneeling in front of him, I lean down and slowly take the tip of his already hard cock into my mouth. I flick the tip of my tongue over the tip, making him hiss in pleasure. I pat myself on the back for finding something he enjoys; I've never been one to particularly enjoy giving blow jobs. I usually try to rush it and mainly use my hands, but I want to please Spencer and give him pleasure. I suck more of him into my mouth, taking as much as I can, which is proving to be difficult as he’s rather big. I stroke the base of his cock with my hand while I suck the head, earning another long hiss from him.

“Fuck.” He groans bucking his hips.

“Easy, Tiger.” I smirk, happy that he’s letting me take control. I lick the underside of his cock, from bottom to the tip and he shudders in pleasure. His skin breaks out in goose bumps and I tease him a little bit more. I take a little bit more of him in my mouth again, but I’m quickly pushed away and suddenly find myself underneath him with my hands pinned above my head.

“I can’t take it anymore. I need to be in you, to feel you. I’m clean, I know you are too…”

“Whilst I know we’re both clean, you do know that I could get pregnant thou-”

“I know.” He looks at me intently.

  “Are you sa-”

“I might have changed my mind.” He leans over and kisses me long and hard. “I want you, all of you. Forever. If that means that in a couple of months we could be parents then I’m okay with that.”

“What made you change your mind?”

“You, Haven, you did, with everything that you do. You’ve never stopped believing in me, you’ve been supporting me since the beginning, listening to me and being there for me no matter what. You are my everything. I don’t want anybody else. Listening to the other guys on my course talk about their families and how it changed their lives for the better made me realize that I want that with you. I want to have my very own family. Things weren’t the best growing up, but this is my chance to rewrite my history.” He finishes a little breathless.

“I want that too.” I smile at him.

“Thank God.” He smiles and slowly pushes into me. The feeling of having him, all of him with no barrier between us, is mind blowing. Whilst I thought the sex before was amazing, this is so much more and it means so much more to the both of us.

With each thrust he sends sparks of desire and pleasure through my body bringing me closer and closer to orgasm. This isn’t soft love making. This is pure, carnal, raw sex. His thrusts get increasingly harder and faster.

I manage to roll us over and take control. I’m surprised he let me do it, but I’m not about to stop and question him. I rest my hands on his chest and dig my nails into his skin as I slowly lower myself onto his hard cock before slowly rolling my hips.

“Fuck, I’m so fucking close.” His voice sounds strained. I can feel his orgasm building as well as my own and it doesn’t takes us long to both fall over the edge and come hard. I sl
owly ride out my orgasm and the relentless waves of pleasure are incredible and I embrace each and every one of them.

Spencer slowly pulls out of me and sits up suddenly; he wraps his arms around me before kissing me deeply. He slowly turns us around and lays me down so he’s resting half on top of me.

We lie like that for a long time, just content to be in each other’s embrace and relishing in being together again after the two day separation.

After a while we both chuckle as our stomachs grumble loudly.

  “Food?” He smiles.

“Yes, I’ll go clean up quickly.” I kiss him softly and waddle to the bathroom. I clean up and when I get back into the bedroom, I put his shirt and my panties back. I can hear that Spencer is already downstairs by the time I return and I can smell the aroma of the food again. I join him in the kitchen and we eat dinner in front of the TV with Bernard is sleeping in his usual spot.

Later that night, we climbed into bed and spent the first night in our home in each other’s arms. I don’t think I’ve ever slept that well in my life. It was the most restful night’s sleep I’ve ever had. The thought of falling asleep and waking up in Spencer’s arms as a couple is truly perfect.

  EPILOGUE

  A Few Weeks Later

These past few weeks have been insane.

Spencer absolutely loves the fact that I moved in without telling him. He keeps saying how it proved to him that I loved and really wanted to be with him. I knew when I did it that he’d love it. The decision came at the perfect time since Alicia needed a place to stay. Luckily my landlord was really understanding and easily switched the name on the lease, letting Alicia move in straight away. We explain what happened with her ex and he fully understood, he even asked for a picture of her ex and his details so he could warn the guards not to let him in.

Although things have been amazing, Spencer still drives me insane.

  Sometimes in a good way.

  Sometimes in a bad way.

Unlike before we got together, we never go to bed mad. The longest time we’ve been mad at each other was for a couple of hours, we yelled at each other, I slapped him, he pinned me against the wall and then we had sex. Raw, passionate, animalistic sex. By the end of it, we couldn’t remember why we were mad in the first place. Sex always solves things for us. Our fights aren’t as intense as before, or about the same thing. Now it’s mainly about us not spending enough time with each other because work is crazy for me and his classes are taking up more of his time than he wishes. I keep telling him it'll be worth it in the end, but he often fails to realize that I’m right.
