I gave in, buying the green dress, although I felt it was far from perfect. I went home, glad that the shopping was over, and nearly panicked when I saw that it was only an hour until the party. I hurried up and showered, washing my hair, then dried it and pinned it up while I put my makeup on. I rarely wore makeup, but tonight, I wanted to look perfect, and so I put on mascara and enough blush to accent my high cheekbones. I looked in the mirror when I was finished, not quite approving, but not hating my appearance, either. I took a deep breath, knowing it was almost time to go, nervous to see Tyler.

  Chapter 15: Tyler

I knocked on Ali’s door, holding my breath as she answered.

“Hi,” she said, and my mouth opened, but I couldn’t bring myself to speak. The dress she was wearing looked stunning on her—emerald green, the perfect color to bring out her eyes. At the same time, it draped over her perfectly, accenting the delicious, smooth curve between her small waist and her wide hips. I wanted to touch her all over then, to push her backward into her apartment and carry her into her bedroom. I wanted to strip that lovely green dress off of her and look at her face as I spent a long, long time eating her perfect pussy. Instead, I cleared my throat, finally dragging my eyes away from her body and up to her face.

“What do you think?” she asked, her cheeks flushed pink.

“You are perfect,” I said, meaning every word. “So beautiful.”

“Thank you,” she said, a sweet smile on her lips. “You don’t look too bad yourself.”

“Thanks,” I said, offering my arm to her, guiding her over to the elevator.

“So what should I expect from this party?” she asked once we were in the car.

“Expect a few drunk people. A lot of drunk people. Folks kind of go crazy at these things.”

“Great,” she said. “Drunk models everywhere.”

I laughed. “There will be a lot of that.”

I saw her roll her eyes out of the corner of my vision and grinned at her.

  “It’ll be fun, I promise.”

“It’d better be,” she said as we pulled up to the luxurious, opulent hotel where the party was being held. It was only ever the best for my people, especially my partner, Owen, who was obsessed with making the right impression. Owen thought that one of the most important things about our business was appearances, and with how successful we had become under his guidance, I was prone to believing him.

We got out of the car and I took Ali’s hand as we made our way inside. I watched as she looked around in wonder, drinking in the opulent décor of the old hotel, the rich, golden and marble walls and high ceilings. I guided her into the ballroom, where a live band was playing on stage. There were round tables set up all over where people were eating, drinking and talking to each other. Some were at the bar while others danced on the floor, swaying to slow music that immediately made me want to pull Ali against me and start moving to the rhythm. I decided to let her get a feel for the place first, though, knowing this wasn’t exactly her element.

Ali and I went to the bar and got drinks, and I watched as she sipped hers, looking around. I still couldn’t take my eyes off of her, despite the fact that we were surrounded by some of the most beautiful people in the country. It didn’t matter. To me in that moment, none of them were more beautiful than Ali, who was ample, full-figured, and gorgeous in the light there. She caught me staring at her and smiled, raising her eyebrows.

“What?” she asked. I opened my mouth to tell her again how beautiful she was but was cut off by someone walking up to us. I turned to see Owen standing there, his eyes on Ali.

“Hey,” he said, still looking at her.

“Owen,” I said, clearing my throat, wanting to snap at him to turn his eyes away. I didn’t like the way he was looking at her, with interest in his eyes. Ali smiled at him when he presented his hand to her to shake.

“Hello, Tyler,” he said. “How are you? Who is this ridiculous creature?”

“Ridiculous?” Ali asked with a giggle that made me tense. “Is that supposed to be a compliment?”

“Absolutely,” said Owen, winking at her.

“This is my neighbor Ali,” I said.

“The chef,” Owen said. “So delighted to meet you. I’ve heard great things about your cooking.”

“Have you?” Ali asked, glancing over at me.

“Not from him, no. All he ever talks about is work. From Constance Maybury. Have you seen her? She’s here somewhere.”

Ali’s face lit up in excitement. “No, I didn’t see her.”

“I’d love to talk to the two of you together,” Owen said. “I was thinking about a restaurant opportunity that I think you might be interested in.”

  “Owen—”

“That would be great,” Ali said excitedly, glancing up at me. “I’ll be right back, okay?”

  I nodded. “Sure.”

I watched then, noting that Owen put his hand on her waist, guiding her through the crowd. I saw her laughing at something he said and my jaw tightened. I took a sip of my drink, leaning against the bar. I couldn’t help but to watch them—my eyes naturally wandered to Ali no matter who I was speaking with, and I found that the jealousy was growing in me the longer they spent together. I realized then that my attraction to Ali was different—much more powerful than it ever had been with any other woman. I had never been this captivated before, this utterly overwhelmed with desire. It made me tense all over to think about, especially when I saw Ali with her hand on Owen’s arm, laughing as she talked with him and Constance Maybury.

I ordered another drink and walked around, mingling, talking to people and trying not to focus on Ali. I walked over to them casually after a few moments, and Ali met my eye with a smile before excusing herself to go to the restroom.

“How’s it going?” Owen asked, a big grin on his face.

“It’s fine,” I said stiffly. “Are you enjoying yourself?”

“It’s pretty lively. I’d say it’s a successful party,” he said. I nodded, taking another sip of my drink, my lips pressed in a thin, grim line. I felt irritable as I looked around, and when I turned back to Owen, he was frowning at me.

  “What’s up?” he asked.

“Nothing,” I snapped. He stared at me for a moment.

“It’s the girl. Ali. Do you have something going on with her?”

I shook my head. “She’s nobody. Just one of the usual women.”

I noticed too late that his eyes had gone over my shoulder, and when I turned to look, I saw Ali standing behind me, her mouth open in surprise.

  “Ali—”

She didn’t let me get the words out before she stormed off and through the ballroom, leaving me behind with Owen.

  Chapter 16: Ali

I jogged down the street, making it around the corner and away from the hotel before hailing a cab. I stormed into the apartment building, my heart racing, filled with anger and humiliation as I pressed the button for the elevator over and over, punching it with my finger. I heard the front door to the building open behind me and I looked over my shoulder to see Tyler there, his eyes on mine.

“Go away,” I hissed as the elevator door opened, hurrying on. He hurried on after me before I could close it, standing close to me as the door shut behind us.

“Fuck off,” I said when he tried to touch me, but he took my arm anyway, holding my eye with a steely look.

“No,” he said in a gruff voice. I snatched my arm away from him, glaring at him.

“I cannot stand you,” I said.

“Yes, you can,” he said to me. The elevator froze then and I sighed, closing my eyes.

“I know I fucked up,” he said, and I opened them again to look at him.

“You did,” I growled. He smiled at me.

“You’re using this as an excuse to hide from what’s happening here,” he said. “You’ve been looking for any excuse you can to deny what’s happening between us since day one.”

  “There’s no
thing happening between us,” I hissed. “I thought we were friends. That was all.”

“Really?” he asked, taking a step toward me, pressing my back against the wall of the elevator. “You have no feelings for me at all, is that what you’re saying?”

“No,” I said defiantly, looking up into his eyes as he stood in front of me, his hands on either side of my body. “No, I just wanted to get along with you. I don’t even like you.”

He grinned, lowering his lips to mine, making my breath catch in my chest.

  “Prove it,” he said.

  “How?” I asked him.

“A simple kiss,” he said in a quiet voice. “Just one kiss. I bet you won’t be able to stop.”

“A kiss is nothing,” I said, my voice trembling. “Especially with you—”

“So do it,” he growled. Shaking, I pressed my lips to his, taking his mouth in a rough, angry kiss just to prove myself. I pulled away, but was only apart from him for a second before I went in for another, electrified by the feeling of his mouth on mine. I kissed him again, then again as he breathed against my lips, responding by slipping his tongue into my mouth. He put his hands to my hips and pulled them against his, and I whimpered when I felt how hard his cock was. The elevator opened and he pulled me forward, walking backward to his apartment, fumbling for the door. He opened it and we pressed inside with our mouths connected, kissing furiously, hungrily as he led me over to his couch and sat me down. He continued to kiss me, lowering himself down, his hands on my thighs as he pressed my dress up over them. I allowed him to do so, allowed him to pull my tights down and over my hips, baring my legs.

“Does your pussy taste as sweet as your mouth, Ali?” he asked. “As sweet as those things you bake for me?”

I didn’t say anything, but blushed at his dirty words, not used to hearing them. I blushed even deeper when he spread my legs, pressing my dress up and over my hips. He gave a low growl when he saw between my legs, and I looked down in shame to see that I was soaked wet through my panties, the pale fabric clinging to every fold. I tried to close my legs but he held them open, nuzzling my thigh, kissing the thin fabric over my clit with just enough pressure to make me lose my breath. I felt his breath against my swollen pussy lips, felt his lips brush over them, sending a shiver through my entire body.

“I thought you didn’t want this,” he said, looking up at me with a cocky half-grin. “And yet your pussy is literally dripping.”

“Shut up,” I breathed, and he grinned as he lowered his face again, kissing me on the outer lips of my pussy. He pulled my panties down and off then, leaving me bare, spreading my legs so that I was completely exposed to him. I blushed again but didn’t resist when he put his mouth against my soaking pussy, swiping the length of my slit from the bottom to the top. The tip of his tongue traced my clit in a circle, not touching it, just teasing it over and over again before he started lapping up and down at my pussy. My legs were completely spread for him and I could feel myself soaking his couch, dripping down my ass, all over the fabric below me. I didn’t care; I leaned back and let him devour me, his tongue dipping inside to tease my opening in a way that made me want more and more. He ignored my clit for a long time, only toying with the areas around it, the sensitive spots that brought me closer and closer to coming.

“Do you like this?” he asked. “Does that feel good?”

“Yes,” I breathed, gasping when he took my clit between his lips and started to suck on it, flicking it with his tongue. I found my hips grinding upward against his face, riding against him, moaning as I rubbed my clit up and down his wanting tongue. I had never felt so wild before, so sensual and out of control as when he started devouring me in earnest, ravaging my pussy with his mouth. His fingers stroked up and down my thighs, making me tremble, making my body shake as I started to come on his face. He pulled his mouth away for a moment, instead bringing his fingers up to stroke the lips of my pussy, then slipped one in about an inch inside of me just to tease my opening. I moaned when he slipped his full, thick finger in, pumping it in and out.

“So tight,” he growled, barely able to say the words as another finger joined the first. He started to curl them upward inside of me, touching my most tender spot as he lowered his mouth against and started teasing and sucking on my clit with his lips and his tongue. I started to tremble, shivering beneath him before my hips started to buck against his face beyond my control.

“Tyler,” I breathed, and then felt something within me shatter around him, my pussy clenching around his fingers as I gasped and moaned and came as hard as I ever had in my life. I held his face there as I came on him, trembling, and caught my breath afterward. I was immediately filled with shame, and hurried to push my dress down, picking up my panties and my tights.

“I’m not—I’m not one of your girls,” I said.

“I know,” he said, and opened his mouth to say something else before I hurried past him out of his apartment and into my own, leaving him behind for good.

  Chapter 17: Tyler

I sighed once Ali was gone, the sweet taste of her still on my lips, the feeling of her coming still fresh on my fingers. She had been so tight, so wet and so perfect, and touching her had been even better than my fantasies had led me to believe it would be. Not only that, but she had been sweet too, the look on her face one of pure pleasure as I made her come all over my fingers and face.

I took a deep breath, getting up and heading to bed. There was nothing I could do but sleep, though all I wanted to do was go over to Ali and apologize, to make everything better. What I had said had been incredibly stupid and I knew now how hurt she must have felt. I felt like an idiot, especially considering that I was starting to feel differently about Ali than I had about any other woman in my life—I should never have denied it, should have been outright with Owen about my feelings instead of an idiot stewing in nonsensical jealousy. I had pushed Ali away, and I knew it was my fault if she would never let me make it up to her again.

I knocked on her door the next morning but she didn’t answer, nor did she later when I tried again. I didn’t know what to do—when I got to work, I sent her flowers, sent her candy, and everything else I could think of to make it better. I was so desperate to see her after a couple of days that I even went to the grocery store hoping to run into her, hoping to see her at least glaring at me, even if I’d never get to see her smile again. When I got home a couple of days later I knocked on her door, heard her shift on the other side without opening it.

“Ali,” I said softly. “Come out and just talk to me.”

  “No,” she said shortly.

“Please? You’re being a real brat, you know.”

There was no answer. I cursed myself for saying the words—I guess I had been hoping that teasing would get her to respond. Instead, I got nothing but a stony silence in return. I shook my head, disappearing into my apartment, looking in my cabinets for something to throw together. I turned on the oven and went back into the hallway, knocking on her door again.

“Listen, I’m cooking you dinner,” I said to her. “Whether you like it or not. You’d better come over before I make a mess.”

“Go away, Tyler,” she said, exasperation in her voice.

“Okay, but I’ll be back,” I threatened, and disappeared back into my apartment. I threw some stuff together—things that she’d left at my apartment on nights she’d cooked dinner for me—not knowing exactly what I was doing, but knowing that I had to try. I left the kitchen and went into the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror, pushing back my hair and trying to make myself remotely presentable. In truth, I looked like a mess. I hadn’t shaved in days, and even people at the office had noticed the difference in my mood. I had been down since the party and everybody knew it, though only Owen knew why. Every time he tried to talk to me about it, I ignored him, instead working through the day until it was time to go home.

I was in the bathroom when I heard the smoke alarm go off, and I cursed as
I rushed into the kitchen, fanning the smoke that was coming out of the oven. The front door opened and Ali rushed in, staring at the stove, glaring at me as she pushed me out of the way.

“Move,” she said, pulling the casserole out of the oven and grimacing at it.

  “What is this?” she asked.

“It’s a casserole,” I said lamely. She didn’t smile, but gave me an annoyed look.

“You need to give up,” she said stubbornly. “Stop trying to impress me.”

“No,” I said. “Never. I’m going to impress you if it’s the last thing I do.”

I saw the hint of a smile flicker over her face, then she looked down at the casserole and sighed. I bit my lip.

“Can you fix it?” I asked her. She nodded, then covered her mouth with her hand as she started to laugh.

“I’ll do what I can,” she said, meeting my eye. For a moment, it was quiet, the silence tense between us. She turned around, going to my refrigerator and pulling some things out, setting to work fixing the disaster that I had put together. I noticed that she was barefoot, her legs bare, wearing only a long t-shirt to sleep in. It made my cock ache and my heart pound, seeing how natural she looked, how perfectly at home.

  Chapter 18: Ali

I finished chopping the onions and tossed them in the half-cooked casserole, mixing it up and taking a deep breath. It smelled better now that I had added some spices—before it had been bland, and obvious that he had just thrown whatever he had together in a pan and put it in the oven. I shook my head, throwing it back in for another twenty minutes or so. I turned around to see Tyler leaning against the counter, his eyes on my body as I moved through the kitchen. I blushed at the look on his face—one of desire and interest, sensual curiosity. It annoyed me that my body responded to it in such a potent way; just looking at him made me remember what it had felt like to have his mouth between my legs, sucking and licking hungrily at my pussy.
