“But I bet you know a lot of other people. People who know a lot more than you do…”

She moved back in her seat a bit. Her eyes narrowed like she was suspicious.

  Shit.

“What’s it to you?” she said.

“Nothing,” I said with a shrug. “I just figured you know people around here.”

“What are you asking me for? Trying to score some dope? Looking for a hook-up?”

“What?” I exclaimed. “I was just—”

  “Bryce!”

She shouted out suddenly and interrupted me, her eyes still locked on me. A few moments later, a man appeared out of the back of the bar and walked up to Judith.

“What is it?” the man said.

“This guy over here,” she said. “I think he’s up to something. Drugs, I’m thinking.”

The man looked up at me.

It was so dark in the bar that I immediately noticed how striking he was in contrast. A fair complexion. Dark blond hair that was short. He had a bit of a boyish face that made him look a couple of years younger than he actually was. A strong jaw and chiseled cheekbones that couldn’t grow any hair. And then his eyes… Light green eyes as round and wide as you’d ever see on a man. A strange kind of innocence coming from him that you wouldn’t expect in a place like this.

“What are you doing?” the man said to me. “We don’t deal with any of that stuff in here. If that’s what you’re interested in, I suggest you leave—”

“I’m not looking for any of that,” I said. “I was just trying to make some friendly conversation and maybe a drink. Your bartender doesn’t seem to care too much for me.”

He looked me up and down. He had a smaller frame though I could see his bicep rippling underneath the sleeve of his shirt. The man was built like an Omega. I could take him if it came down to it but I wasn’t interested in a fight just minutes after stepping foot into the bar.

“Just a beer,” I said as I put my hands up. “Honest.”

The man was still skeptical but he turned toward the bartender and gave him a nod.

“You have to excuse Norman,” the man said. “It’s not often we get people who aren’t from around here.”

“How do you know I’m not from around here?” I said.

“Do you really want me to answer that?”

  “I guess not…”

I gave him a shrug and he turned around to leave.

  Something about him.

  “Hey, Bryce, is it?”

I called out to him without thinking. He turned around and arched an eyebrow at me.

  “Thanks,” I said.

He gave me a smirk and nodded.

“Enjoy your beer,” he said before turning back around and leaving.

“What’s his deal?” I said to Judith.

“Bryce? He doesn’t have a deal. He’s just the guy who runs the joint.”

  “Right…”

“I suggest you stop asking so many questions unless you wanna get kicked out.”

The bartender shoved my beer in front of me. I was only just getting started in Brickstone. There was no need to rush things.

“Right now, all I want to do is enjoy this beer.”

  Chapter 4

  URIAH

A few hours at Brickstone was all I needed to make myself comfortable. The patrons themselves didn’t seem to mind my presence when they saw that all I wanted was to have a few beers and enjoy myself.

Most of the crowd didn’t seem to have any of the information I was looking for. Not that I could ask any of them directly. I didn’t mind it either way. I enjoyed getting to know them as well as you could know a stranger. All of the alcohol I poured down my throat to fit in certainly helped.

I was so distracted by the friendly atmosphere of the bar that I lost track of time. Later into the evening, I found myself in my seat and leaning up against the bar.

“I know what you’re thinking,” Judith said. “You probably heard stories about the West Bay. All of the roaming gangs. All of the biker clubs. Even some of the drugs that are being moved on the streets. But the docks are right there. People in this part of town are just honest, hard-working folks trying to live their lives. Northsiders live a cushy life. Hell, I’d be lying if I didn’t want to be there myself. But I won’t complain with where I’m at now.”

I nodded in understanding. The old woman’s demeanor was friendly like everybody else’s throughout the night. But now I grew so comfortable that I almost wanted to tell her why I was here in the first place.

“Judith,” Bryce said as he walked out from the backroom. “Closing time.”

  “Already?” she sighed.

“You’ve still got work tomorrow. I think it’s for the best.”

“Hey, you should see me work. A little hangover won’t stop me from getting the job done.”

  “I’ll see you tomorrow, Judith.”

  “You know you will.”

Judith got up out of her seat and stumbled toward the doorway.

“Are you just going to let her walk out there like that?” I said. “By herself? Shouldn’t you at least call her a cab?”

“Judith has lived here longer than either one of us has been alive. She knows how to take care of herself. Trust me.”

  “Right…”

Bryce took Judith’s place and leaned up against the bar.

“How about you?” he said. “You finished for the night?”

I looked around and everybody else had cleared out.

“It looks like I am,” I sighed.

“Norman,” he said to the bartender. “Go ahead and take off now. I’ll clean up from here.”

The bartender was the last man in the place. He gave his boss a nod and followed out where Judith had just left a few moments ago.

“Well,” I said as I got up from my seat. “I guess it’s my turn to go now.”

  “It looks like it.”

I headed toward the exit then stopped in my tracks. I slowly turned around and saw Bryce putting the chairs up on the tables.

“Are you sure you’re all right?” I asked.

  “What?” he said.

“Closing up by yourself. Will you be okay?”

“I’m fine. I do this every night.”

I didn’t know what came over me but there was something about him.

I walked forward and held my hands out.

“You know… I really appreciate you not kicking me out. It’s tough for a guy to find a good place to drink.”

  “Sure.”

“Maybe I can stick around and help you out while you’re closing. Wouldn’t hurt, would it?”

Bryce gave me a puzzled look.

  “…It might.”

I chuckled softly and shook my head.

“Let me help,” I said. “As a thank you.”

Bryce sighed a deep breath then headed toward the exit. He pulled his keys out and locked the door to make sure nobody could come in.

“People would think I was crazy for locking myself in with a stranger but it’s better than letting another stranger walk in…”

  “Uriah.”

  “What?”

  “My name’s Uriah.”

I gave him a friendly smile.

“Now I’m not a stranger anymore.”

“All right, Uriah,” he said, a growing smirk on his lips. “You can help me by putting those stools up on the counter. I need to mop.”

  “Sure thing.”

I got to work. It was quiet in the bar but the music from the jukebox was still playing softly in the background. I still had my wits about me even though the alcohol was coursing through my veins at this point.

“So… What brings you to the West Bay?” Bryce said. “Work?”

“Yeah… Work… How did you know?”

“It’s not hard to figure. They’re always looking for people at the docks. It’s a nice place to work, from what I’m told. All the salt in the air. Working out in the sun.”

>   “Why aren’t you working at the docks?”

“The docks aren’t for everybody. An Omega like me… I’m just fine running this bar for myself.”

“You run this place by yourself?”

“Most of the time. Sometimes my brother stops by and…”

I was distracted by putting stools up on the counter that I didn’t notice he’d stopped talking.

  “And what?”

I turned around and he was suddenly standing right in front of me. He was so close to me that I could smell him. I looked down into his narrowed eyes. I couldn’t tell what he was thinking.

“You sure you’re not looking for dope?” he asked.

“I can assure you, I’m not,” I said with a laugh.

  “Right…”

He didn’t move from his spot. I kept staring down into those green eyes of his. I lost track of my thoughts. The only thing I could think about was how striking his face was.

  He was handsome.

  Uriah… What are you doing?

I was staring hard at him. I wasn’t even blinking.

Bryce didn’t budge from the spot. He was moving closer to me, his face drifting toward mine.

  Uriah…

The alcohol burning in my blood wasn’t helping. I wasn’t thinking straight.

Without warning, I rushed my face to his and kissed him. He didn’t resist when I pushed my tongue between his lips. A loud, messy smack echoed through the small bar.

Just like that, I’d lost myself. I wrapped my arms around him, enjoying the feeling of his small but strong frame against me. I pulled him close and fell back against the bar.

He worked his tongue down my neck and peeled my shirt up over my stomach. He gasped as he licked around my navel and toward my belt.

  “Bryce… Are you sure?”

He stared up at me. Not saying a word, he kept working his mouth around my stomach while he undid my jeans. My cock was swollen so hard at this point that I couldn’t stop him even if I tried. The sight of a man like Bryce falling to his knees before me was like nothing else.

He moved like he’d done it before. My zipper down, he grabbed my jeans and underwear in his grip. With one swift pull, he freed my cock from his restraints. The cool rush of the air in the bar against my bare shaft sent a shudder through my spine.

  “God…”

I groaned in ecstasy and leaned back against the bar, gripping the edges with my palms to brace myself.

Bryce took my cock between his lips and started sucking me off. Long, wet slurps were loud. He swallowed loudly, gulping my length down his throat like he didn’t care who could hear. The soft hum from the jukebox nearby seemed so distant now. The only sound came from him going down on me while I continued to try and catch my breath.

  “Bryce…”

I reached down and ran a hand through his hair. My fingers massaged the back of his scalp before instinctively gripping a handful of his messy hair. It was like my body had a mind of its own.

My hips moved back and forth. My hand squeezed his hair. Bryce took it well, his mouth opened wide while I punished his throat. The messy gags and desperate breaths weren’t enough to make either one of us stop. He breathed hard but he continued to let me have his way with him.

I was pounding his mouth so hard that I knew I couldn’t hold back for much longer. I released him from my grip and his head moved off of me completely.

Bryce stared up at me. Eyes watery. Chin covered in spit. Breaths hard and fast. I’d made a complete mess of him but he still didn’t protest.

I grabbed his arms and forcefully picked him up. Our tongues danced together for a messy kiss. The fire of desire continued to burn inside of me. I could no longer help myself.

“I want to fuck you,” I said. “I’m going to fuck you… hard…”

There was a part of me that couldn’t believe what I was doing. But it wasn’t enough to stop me. A man I’d only just met a few hours ago and here I was, ready to ravage him. I knew I’d lost control.

“Do it,” he said. “Do it… Fuck me—”

He gasped when I suddenly gripped his arms and pushed him forward. He kept backing up, our lips locked together the entire time. We moved across the bar until he suddenly bounced into the pool table behind him.

I reached down and unzipped his jeans quickly. We worked together to tug them down to his knees. His underwear followed. His cock wasn’t as big as mine but it was definitely hard.

But even more inviting was what was underneath. His asshole was dripping wet. I could tell just from the amount of fluids dripping down the insides of his thighs. He still had his shirt on but I knew every inch of him was covered in sweat the same as me.

“I want you,” I said. “I want your asshole.”

“Take it… Give me that big cock of yours… I want it inside of me…”

I looked down into his eyes while I positioned my cock between his legs. My tip hit his asshole and his eyelids flickered a bit. He was so wet that it didn’t matter how tight he was. I wanted him to feel every inch of me.

I gripped his arms and with one forceful plunge, I shoved as much of my cock into him as I could. His eyes shut and his mouth opened wide. He held his breath for a moment before shuddering with a deep gasp of ecstasy.

  “Oh… Wow…”

I started thumping my cock up and into him. He was short enough that I could get into his insides from just the right angle. Long, deep pumps made both of us grunt.

That wasn’t enough for me though.

I lifted him up and set him down on the edge of the pool table. He kicked his jeans off of his ankles completely. He spread his legs so that I could pound him nice and hard.

  “Holy shit…”

He sighed a deep whimper as I increased my pace. He collapsed back on the pool table and looked completely helpless. Arms spread. Legs wide just the same. Cock flopping back and forth, forced to move to the rhythm I gave it to him. Eyes closed and mouth open with an endless stream of ecstasy. Banging Bryce on the pool table was a sight like something out of a dream.

I gripped his waist and kept giving it to him harder and harder until I was close to the edge.

  “I’m gonna come… Damn… I’m gonna come…”

I grunted the words. A warning that I was going to explode. But Bryce was so distracted by his own ecstasy that he couldn’t respond. All he could do was lay there and take it.

  “Bryce…”

I gave him one last reminder. A last ditch effort to tell him what I wanted. It took every ounce of strength I had to pull out.

  “Oh, God…”

I groaned just as I felt my orgasm slam into me. I reached down for my cock and pumped it. Thick contractions were followed by thicker pulses of semen streaming out of my tip. The cum seemed endless. Jets of sticky white fluid fired out of me and painted Bryce. His cock. His stomach. His legs. I made a mess of him.

Bryce grabbed his own dick and started pumping himself. The sight of his cock coming only made my own orgasm that much stronger. We came hard on one another and made the mess even worse.

I emptied every last drop I could. My senses slowly started to come back to me. My muscles ached. My lungs burned. I was sweating so much that I had to take my shirt off.

  But there was something else.

  What is that?

There was something inside of me. Like my insides were on fire. I looked down and my cock was still raging hard. And when I looked into Bryce’s eyes, I knew that he felt the same way.

  “What is that—”

  “…No,” he sighed.

  “What is it? What’s wrong?”

His throat shifted with a swallow. His eyes were so wide that they stopped my heart in my chest. I knew he was serious.

  “I’m in heat.”

  Chapter 5

  BRYCE

Uriah had these brown eyes that were as intense as any man’s I’d ever seen. A handsome face with some scruff along his chin, he was better-looking than most
of the men who came around this bar. His dark hair was short and styled in a way that made it seem like he actually took some time on it. Maybe it was his focused stare that had my attention. Or maybe it was the rest of him.

Sculpted, rippling muscles that looked like he spent too much time on them. Tight skin with veins trailed all over him. From his muscled chest to that clearly-defined six-pack of his, Uriah was the picture of everything another man could want. Then there was that cock between his legs. So hard and so long… Just the thought of what it could do to me turned me on.

I was attracted to him. I couldn’t lie about that.

But now… The heat burning inside of me made me act on all of the desires I would’ve normally held back.

  “Are you sure you’re—”

I cut him off before he could say anything more.

I didn’t care that I barely just met him. There was something inside of me. Something that made my heart thump in my chest and my blood boil in my veins. My entire body was on fire. Electricity surged through my skin.

My mouth on his, I sucked on his tongue and swallowed it. My hands ran up and down his muscled frame. His skin was so tight on his body that it was almost impossible to grab hold of him. It didn’t help that he was sweating so much.

He’d already made a mess of me, spilling his seed all over me and covering me with cum. But I wanted more and I couldn’t make it any clearer to him.

  “Fuck me…”

I pushed him away just long enough to hop off of the pool table. I turned around and presented myself to him. The warmth between my legs was unbearable. I dripped down my thighs. My knees trembled so much that I would’ve fallen over if my hands weren’t pressing down so hard on the felt.

  “Fuck me, dammit…”

Uriah was a handsome man. A jawline covered in a perfectly-trimmed beard. Intense brown eyes that were burning a hole through me. I wouldn’t have admitted it before. But now that I couldn’t help the feeling inside of me, there was nothing holding me back.

I was never like this but now I was pleading with him, begging him to give it to me.

He took his thick length and held it before my ass. It was teasing me. Just the sight of it was enough to send another shudder through my spine.

  “I want you…” he grunted.
