Tame Me (Book #1 in the Blood Brothers MC Series)
Page 20
“Hey girl.”
I look up and see Daisy at the bar, smiling at me. “Hi, Daisy, how are you?”
“Good, hun. What are you doing here?”
“I came for the party,” I reply, winking.
“Oh,” Daisy says, frowning. “Are you looking for Quill?”
“Yes, I am actually.”
She leans over the bar and concern is written all over her face. My heart starts to thump and I’m sure it’s going to jump out of my chest.
“Listen, Jasmine, you’re a nice girl, so I think you deserve to hear this.”
I feel the effects of alcohol return and my stomach feels queasy, and something tells me I’m not going to like what I hear. “Hear what, Daisy?” I ask, biting my lip, anxious to hear what’s about to come out of her mouth.
She nods her head toward Quill’s room and says, “Maybe you should go see for yourself.”
I stare at Daisy, trying to figure out what she’s trying to tell me, but figure she won’t say it. So I take a sip of my beer and decide to head to Quill’s room. I feel like my feet are made of Jell-O as I struggle to make it to Quill’s bedroom door.
“Hey, darlin, you looking for me?” a biker says, grabbing me by the arm and sniffing my neck.
“Get off me,” I yell, pulling my arm out of his grip. Luckily for me, I break free and a club whore slides on his arm, saving me from having to kick him in the balls. I stop at Quills door and am about to knock on it when I hear a woman’s voice moan. I swallow hard and open Quill’s door slowly, trying hard to steady my breathing. What I see has me bolted to the spot. I can’t believe what is happening in front of me. The room is dark, but with Quill’s bathroom light on, I can make out their bodies.
There in a moment of passion, Jess is moaning out Quill’s name as she straddles him, impaling him over and over again. Her arms are resting behind her on Quills raised knees, and Quill’s bottom lip is sucked into his mouth like he’s trying to hold back his pleasure. His head is tilted on the pillow with his eyes squeezed shut, and I hear him grunt as Jess continues to fuck him. His strong hands squeeze her tits, and I suddenly feel bile rising in the back of my throat. I have to cover my mouth to stop myself from being sick.
Jess moans again and Quill’s hands travel down her body and rests on her hips. I gasp, and Jess’s head snaps over to the door. She smiles wide when she notices me. She doesn’t stop though. If anything, she rides him harder.
“Told you he’ll always come back to me,” she says with a smirk caressing her lips. I notice how her eyes are glazed over in passion. I’m about to slam the door shut and run out of there, when Hawke comes up behind me and snaps the lights on.
“Damn it, Quill. What the fuck?” he roars.
Quill’s eyes pop open and I hear him groan his release into that bitch. His head suddenly snaps up and I see his reaction when he realizes I’m in the room. “Jasmine?” he questions, looking up at Jess in surprise. His expression changes from pure pleasure to shock, and then I see his jaw clench and his hands grip her tightly as he throws her off him. She lands on the floor with a thump. “Jasmine, is that you?” His eyes focus on me, as if he’s trying to make sense of the situation, and then his eyes move to Jess on the floor. They widen in surprise, and then he demands, “What the fuck are you doing here, Jess?”
She doesn’t reply right away. She smiles up at him before saying, “Baby, you don’t need to lie in front of her. You asked me to come back here with you.”
Quill shakes his head, and in his defense, he seems drunk and confused, but that doesn’t excuse him from fucking Jess.
“I thought she was you, Jasmine,” he confesses.
“Are you fucking kidding me right now?” I shout, full of rage. “Do you think I’m that fucking stupid, Quill?”
He shakes his head, looking as if he’s trying to clear his mind. He’s clearly been drinking, because when he stands up, he wobbles on his feet and then grabs the sheet to cover his now semi-hard cock and heads toward me with pleading eyes.
“Don’t you fucking come near me, you asshole. I hate you for doing this to me,” I say with tears rolling down my cheeks.
“Jasmine, please, let me explain,” he begs as he gets closer.
“No, stop right there!” I hold him back with my hand. “I don’t want your explanations, but I do want you to answer me one thing.”
“Anything, I’ll answer anything for you, baby.”
I choke on my words when I ask, “Why her, Quill?”
He takes a deep breath and rubs his free hand down his face.
“Answer me, Quill. Why her?” I repeat, roughly wiping away my tears, not caring that I’m smudging my makeup.
“Jasmine, please, let me explain. It’s not what it looks like.”
My eyes blur with tears, and I feel Hawke’s hands on my shoulders. He turns me around to face him and gives me a brief hug before whispering in my ear to step out of the room. I nod in agreement, but as I walk away, a strong hand grabs my arm, bringing me to a halt. I turn around to see Quill pleading for me to listen to him, but then Hawke pushes him off me and they stare daggers at one another.
“Get the fuck out of the way, Hawke. This doesn’t concern you,” Quill demands.
“The fuck it doesn’t, man. How long have I known you, brother?” Hawke folds his arms, waiting patiently for Quill to answer. Quill stares at him, unsure, and rubs his hand down the back of his neck. “That’s right, forever, and you’re gonna act like this when I know how you feel about that girl over there,” he says, pointing to me. “Now go and cool off, and get rid of that skanky trash bitch before I do.”
Quill’s expression changes to one of pure rage, and I see him clench his fists. He steps closer to Hawke, their noses only inches apart, and he snarls, “Get out of the fucking way, Hawke, or I’m gonna make you.”
Hawke shakes his head. “Not gonna happen, brother. You’re not going to damage her any more than you already have. You fucked up big time. Let her go. I’ll make sure she gets home safe.”
Quill releases the breath that he’s been holding and looks over Hawke’s shoulder at me. He nods in agreement and watches as Jess walks past him to sneak out of his room.
“And you,” Hawke shouts, “get your trashy ass out of this club and don’t ever come back here, you got me?”
Jess stops and looks between Hawke and Quill, but knows better than to speak. She races past them with her clothes in her hand and head held low. Hawke turns to watch Jess leave, and Quill sees that as an opportunity to get his hands on me. Hawke realizes and grabs him by the neck and pushes him up against the wall. Quill’s so drunk that he can barely stand straight but still tries to punch Hawke in the ribs.
Hawke shoves him back up against the wall again and punches Quill right in the stomach. I scream when I see Quill fall to his knees, coughing and gasping for air.
My instincts tell me to run to him, but I can’t; I’m too hurt. And in a way, I need him to feel the pain that he’s inflicted on me.
“I warned you, brother,” Hawke states, pointing his finger in Quill’s face. “You might have just lost the best thing that’s ever happened to you. Do you really want to make it worse by forcing her to talk to you now?” Quill looks up at Hawke, defeated. “I didn’t think so.” And with that, Hawke walks over to me and with his hand on my back, announces, “Let’s go.”
We make our way out to the main room, and I hear Quill’s pleas as he yells, “Jasmine, please, don’t go. It’s not what it seems. Jaassssmiiinnee…”
