Jill took a Misenall tablet to prevent teleportation sickness and waited five minutes. Then they both stepped into the ready room and held hands as the computer teleported them down to their summer beach house. The girls stabilized inside the kitchen of their temporary home. The first thing they both felt was the incredible warmth that enveloped their bodies. Jill looked around and discovered the owner had left all the windows closed. There were blinds that covered the lower halves of the windows for some privacy. Jill said, “No wonder this house is so incredibly hot, the windows are all closed.” She began opening the top sections of the double-hung windows to allow some air to blow through the house, then proceeded to remove clothing until she was perfectly naked. Trish stood and watched, then said, “I think a tiny yellow bikini would look very nice walking on that beach while our new friends play volleyball and watch the new girls strut their stuff.” Jill agreed, except she pulled a white bikini from her tote bag for her grand debauch on the beach. Trish’s skintight bikini pushed her small breasts up nicely. Jill’s body was just as petite as Trish’s was, except for her breasts. Jill gently stuffed her body into the bikini top, which supported her large breasts perfectly. She looked to Trish for approval and Trish just licked her lips and said, “Heavens cousin, you look spectacular.” Trish said, “I only see one problem.” She walked up to Jill and gently rubbed Jill’s nipples until they stood out like marbles. The only words Trish needed to speak to express her approval of her cousins body was, “Perfect.” Jill giggled as they walked out the back door and began their slow decent down the steep wooden stairway to the hot sandy beach.
When the girls reached the bottom steps and were just about to put their feet in the sand, they heard a voice to their left that said, “Don’t even consider putting your bare feet on the sand.” Jill looked at the man, smiled and said, “Are you planning to carry us to the edge of the water?” The male voice chuckled and said, “The sand is hot enough to burn your bare skin. You will need sneakers or shoes to protect your feet this late in the afternoon.” Trish knelt down, touched the sand with her fingers and quickly moved them away. She looked at the man and said, “Thanks my friend, you just saved us from a major error in judgment.” The man looked at the girls and asked if they had brought shoes with them? Jill said, “I brought my birthday suit, one bikini, and a tube of suntan lotion, but no sneakers.” The man said, “If you two beauties would walk back up to your house, go out the front door, turn left and walk one block, you will find a nice store where you can purchase sneakers. You can wear the clothes you have on as everyone else in the store will be wearing similar clothing here at the beach; and by the way, you both look spectacular.” Then he said, “Jill, I would not wear your birthday suit to the store no matter how much suntan lotion you apply, they do have rules around here. As you enter the store, you will see the sign that says, no clothes no service.” The girls giggled, turned and began their ascent up the stairs to acquire sneakers to protect their feet. As they climbed the steps, Trish happened to look back down to the beach and realized that play had stopped at the volleyball court and the males were watching the two cute girl’s bodies as they climbed the stairs. Trish spoke to Jill and said she really should stop, turn around, and wave to her fans. When Jill turned around and waved, she felt the heat of a blush form on her cheeks, and the heat of over forty eyes on her body. When they got to the top of the stairs, Jill said, “I think I may like this vacation a lot.”
The girls easily found the clothing store, and not only purchased sneakers, but also lightweight white robes to cover their bathing suits when they had been in the hot sunshine long enough for one day. Trish had very light colored skin that easily burned if not carefully protected by suntan lotion or clothing. Jill on the other hand had much darker skin, but it would also easily burn if left exposed under the hot California sun. When the girls walked back into their summerhouse, they realized that they had had company. There were two beautiful bouquets of cut flowers in vases, one sitting on the coffee table, and another sitting on a table near the door leading down to the beach. The flowers had notes attached and both flower arrangements were from the owner of the house they were renting for the summer. Another note on the table beside one arrangement explained that he had visited and found them not at home. He gave them his cell phone number again, and reminded them they could call anytime they might need his assistance with the house. He explained that he would not enter the house again unannounced, but needed to put the flowers in water and get them out of the hot sun. He also told the girls that he had known of their arrival because he was one of the guys playing volleyball when they had made their first visit to the beach. He explained that the man they had spoken to at the bottom of the stairs was one of the lifeguards and they would see a lot of him during their visit. He then warned them that the oceans could be dangerous to swim in, and to talk to one of the lifeguards on duty before they entered the water (sharks, jellyfish, riptides), especially if the surf was up, he warned. However, if you swim in the netted areas with the lifeguards watching, you will find the salt water very pleasurable to swim in, so enjoy the ocean, but do it safely.
As the girls planned what to eat for supper, a knock on the street side door startled them. They walked into the kitchen area to see who their visitor was. When they opened the door, they discovered two women and two men. Their guests quickly introduced themselves as their next-door neighbors and asked if Jill and Trish would like to accompany them to the local sports bar for some food and refreshments. One of the women said, “We are dying to meet our new neighbors, so please don’t say no unless you are already obligated for this evening.” Jill looked at Trish, who had a huge smile on her face, so Jill said, “We would love to join you but as you see we are not properly dressed.” One of the men said, “You look quite nice to me,” and received an elbow in the ribs for his statement. The women that had elbowed her friend said, “We can give you a few minutes to change, but don’t overdress, as this sports bar is very casual.” One of the men explained that they had a very nice dance floor at the sports bar. He then told the girls to wear their sneakers or comfortable shoes if they wished to dance tonight.
Chapter 3 – A Night on the Town
As they walked to the sports bar that was two blocks from the house, Jill memorized their new friend’s names. She also tried to remember who was hugging on whom. The first couple, both almost six feet tall, had very blond hair. Jill thought to herself that they looked more like brother and sister than they did partners. The man went by the name of Bill and the woman, Becky. The second couple, both much shorter than their friends, looked to have some American Indian blood running in their veins, and both had the most beautiful long black hair that Jill had ever seen. The man went by the name Tom, and his girlfriend was Valerie.
When they entered the front door of the sports bar, Trish and Jill realized that this was much more than a simple sports bar. There was a nice dance floor and a live band was playing at the far end, near the wall. The dance floor was between the band and the front entrance but looked to be a very long way from them as they stood looking around. The dance floor had five or so couples dancing to a very slow and romantic waltz. Jill and Trish’s four new friends walked to the far end of the room and sat at a round table for eight. Jill discovered they were far enough from the band that they could actually talk comfortably with their neighbors. The conversation quickly progressed with a few drinks into giggling, backslapping between the men, and the girls yelling at the participants of a hockey match playing on the big screen television.
As the girls stood shouting at the players on the television, Jill watched a very nice looking man walking towards them. As she watched him saunter in their direction, the man walked up in front of Trish, looked her directly in the eyes and asked if she would dance with him. Trish instantly blushed, but recovered quickly. The man held out his hand and Trish quickly placed her fingers in his.
Then Trish did something that stunned Jill and the oth
ers as they watched. Trish curtsied to the gentleman and he in turn bowed deeply to her. Then he repeated the question again, but this time formally. He said, “My lady, would you do me the honor of dancing with me. I have asked the band to play a nice waltz so we will not embarrass ourselves, as I have no knowledge of your dancing skills.” Jill said, “Sir, it would be my pleasure to join you on the dance floor.” Trish walked hand in hand with the man to the very center of the dance floor where they both assumed a very formal dancing stance as the music began to play. The people around the dance floor watched the couple dance, amazed at the skill with which they floated around the floor: Both obviously well trained in ballroom dancing. Jill walked to the edge of the dance floor and was simply amazed at how graceful they danced together. When the music stopped playing, the two bowed and curtsied their way back to the table.
Jill giggled with Trish, and then asked where she had learned to dance like that. Trish told Jill that her father (who Jill would not have known) had taught her to dance when she was a teenager. Trish explained to Jill that she only spent a couple summers with him at his home in Atlanta, Georgia; but she loved his wonderful southern lifestyle. Trish explained that when she asked her father to teach her to dance, he did, and tonight was one of the waltz’s she had learned in her father’s arms. Jill asked what her father’s name was and Trish said, “Samuel Steven Richman.” Jill then asked if he was still alive and Trish lowered her eyes to the floor and said, “No, he died in a train accident in England when I was seventeen years old.” Jill stepped up very close to her cousin, put her arms around her and hugged her hard. Trish whispered in Jill’s ear, “Thanks Jill for asking about my father, but if we continue talking about him, I will cry on your shoulder and ruin our fun night. Would you ask me about my father again later, maybe tomorrow; okay?” Jill stepped back and said, “It’s very ok.”
Jill could not believe that Trish or none of the family had ever spoken of the death of Trish’s father to her. Jill now began to wonder why Trish had kept her father a secret all these years. Jill handed Trish her beer, and then tapped her beer mug against Trish’s mug. Trish’s eyes regained their sparkle, she smiled, and the party continued. Trish spoke again to Jill and this time said, “I hope Jim asks me to dance again, but this time really close so I can put my head on his shoulder and kiss him.” Jill looked at Trish and said, “Do you have to wait for Jim to ask you?” Trish looked at Jill and said, “Hell no,” handed her beer mug to Jill to look after, and walked towards Jim. As she walked across the bar towards him, he stood up even before Trish got close, hoping, willing her to talk to him. Trish walked straight up to Jim, looked him in the eyes, took his hands in hers and gently moved him out onto the dance floor.
As Jill, Trish, and their new friends and neighbors talked, laughed and ordered food, a very muscular man asked Jill to dance. When Jill returned to the table with her friends, she smiled and hoped that she and her dance partner would become more than just a onetime encounter. The man seemed attracted to her and Jill liked his attitude, the way he smiled, and the way he made everyone around him comfortable and relaxed.
As Jill ate her supper and laughed with her friends, she decided to talk to Fred a little more and find out if he was available. As she sat daydreaming, a hand placed gently on her shoulder from behind suddenly interrupted her thoughts. When she turned to see who was touching her, Fred kneeled down beside her chair and began talking to her. He said he hoped he was not being to bold, but he would like to see her again if possible. Jill told Fred that she felt the same way and maybe they could talk tomorrow if he had time. Fred handed Jill his business card with his phone number on it, and said, “If you still wish to see me tomorrow, please call me and I will take you to lunch at a very nice place two blocks from here overlooking the beach. Your friend Trish may also join us if you would feel more comfortable, as I realize I am a total stranger to you.” Jill said she would call by eleven tomorrow for sure and then they could talk. Fred said he needed to leave the party early or he would not be able to get up in the morning. Fred said, “Goodnight Jill, sleep tight,” then left the sports bar. Trish smiled at Jill as she carefully tucked the business card in her pocket for safekeeping.
Chapter 4 – New Friends and a Great Beach House
As the group walked back to their houses, Trish and Jill thanked their neighbors and friends for asking them to come along tonight. Trish could not just say “Goodnight,” and soon had everyone hugging.
As Trish and Jill prepared to spend the first night in their summer beach house, they looked out the back door, down to the ocean, and realized they might not be as tired as they thought. Five or more huge bond fires lit the beach and the music was loud, very loud. There were people dancing and playing all up and down the ocean. There were more people on the beach now after dark than there had been during the day. Jill and Trish decided they were dressed properly to join the party. They put their sneakers back on and began the long walk down the wooden staircase to the now cool sandy beach below. There were two volleyball games in progress and there were people everywhere walking or running in the cool night air along the water’s edge. Jill asked Trish if she was up to a few miles of running and Trish said she certainly was. As they ran north along the water's edge, they suddenly realized they had entered an area where many of the people on the beach were no longer clothed. Jill spoke to Trish, but Trish was too busy checking out the naked bodies to talk to her cousin. They slowed their pace down to a slow walk and continued along the water’s edge. Jill said, “I think I need to check out this beach in the daylight and get a little sun on my hard to tan areas.” Trish said, “These people have tanned places that should not be seen in the light of day.” Jill laughed and said, “Will you join me here tomorrow for some lotion and sun?” Trish said, “I think I will, just the thought of rubbing lotion on a hot naked body out here on the beach makes my kitten purr.” Jill started laughing and she sat down in the now cool sand to catch her breath.
As they talked, a huge wave washed in and suddenly both of them were soaked in warm salt water. The wave had completely covered them and even their hair was soaking wet. The girls laughed and began the long walk back to their beach house. As their hair dried, Jill said, “The salt feels good on my body, but sure makes a mess of my long hair. Maybe, I need to have it cut shorter while I am here in California.” Trish thought about it a moment and said, “I will also cut mine a little shorter so it is easier to care for.”
As the girls stepped into their beach house, the house was still too warm, so they opened all the windows again and let the cool night air whisper through the house. The girls had not had time to investigate the beach house they had rented, so they began opening doors and checking in cupboards. When Jill opened a door just outside of the bathroom, she discovered an elevator. She spoke to Trish and showed her the find. The girls wondered where the elevator went to, but were certain it only traveled down. They had seen no place from the beach where the elevator might travel to, but they needed to check it out. There were buttons inside the elevator, one up arrow and one down arrow. Jill said, “I am game, you stand here in case I need rescuing,” then stepped inside and pressed the up arrow. Nothing happened. She pressed the down arrow and the doors between her and Trish closed. Then the elevator slowly moved down and stopped with a gentle thud. When the doors opened, Jill realized the house had an incredible recreation room in the basement. Jill found more light switches and then stepped out into the basement. When she looked around, she discovered an outside door, securely locked with a piece of lumber dropped down into two metal straps that looked like stirrups. Jill walked to the lumber and removed it so she could open the door. When she pulled the door open, she was looking outside at the sandy beach and the bond fires. This door was located just behind the wooden staircase and they had not seen it as they walked up and down the stairs.
Jill closed and locked the door, then inspected the rest of this recreation room. There was a huge television on one w
all with reclining chairs lined up so you could watch movies in comfort. Jill walked to a small door and opened it, she giggled over her discovery of a tiny bedroom with a mirrored ceiling. Jill giggled, and decided she would check out this love shack later when she had time to try the mirror and see what was visible when lying on ones back on the bed. Then she remembered Trish, who was waiting at the top of the elevator shaft, and would be pissed by now. Jill stepped into the elevator and pushed the up arrow. When the door opened, Trish smiled and said, “Don’t just stand there looking at me, tell me where the elevator goes.”
Jill began explaining, and then they both went down to the recreation room and checked everything out. Trish immediately turned the lights up to full intensity with the dimmer control, laid down on the bed and checked out the mirrored ceiling. Trish stood back up, smiled and said, “I guess we will need to find an extra set of sheets for this bed, so we can keep them washed between uses.” Jill began laughing and said, “I will check the cupboards right now.”
When they finally returned to the main floor, it was three o’clock in the morning and they both were very tired. They made up beds in two rooms, but finally both slept in the same king size bed because the windows in that room had a cool westerly breeze blowing in. The other bedroom with a westerly facing window had swimming things like tire tubes and such in it, but Trish said she would clean the room tomorrow and move her stuff into that room. Trish put her hand on Jill’s shoulder and said, “Did you have a good time today cousin?” Jill rolled over, kissed Trish on the lips and said, “Yes cousin, I had the very best day I have had in a long time. Thanks for suggesting this vacation. I did not realize how lonesome we become for the company of others.” Then Jill said, “I did not mean I do not like your company Trish, it is just that I think we both need many friends, more than just each other.” Trish said, “I understand exactly what you mean Jill, I think that we become very withdrawn when we have no other human stimulus other than the words of each other and the computer.” Jill said, “I hope to correct that need for a man’s touch tomorrow afternoon after a nice lunch with Fred. Trish, when Fred touched me tonight, I had feelings for him that I have not felt recently, and I hope that Fred takes me in his arms and loves on me until my toes curl.”
