And so on and so on…

Once she set everyone straight: “no, I am not gay”, “no, I am not afraid of commitment”, “no, I didn’t meet another man”, she found out that Brian will definitely be at the wedding and he will be bringing his pretty, new girlfriend (who just happened to be a successful attorney).

Holly’s first thought: What. The. Fuck.

Holly second thought: What. The. Fuck. Also, where was she going to find someone to be her date to a fricking wedding at this short of notice?

  ***

Can I get you anything to drink, Holly?” Jack asked.

They were sitting at a table, along with another couple she had never met before. Here they were, at the Marquis – some fancy, schmancy ballroom, for Julie and Trey’s wedding reception and there wasn’t even an open bar. Holly couldn’t believe that she forgot her money at home when she squeezed everything (apparently not her cash) into a teeny purse for tonight. Fortunately, Jack was too much of a gentleman to allow her to pay anyway.

“A glass of red wine would be great. Merlot if they have it.”

  “You got it.”

Holly watched Jack walk up to the bar, enjoying the view. He looked just as fine going as he did coming. She couldn’t decide if she should kiss Olivia or strangle her the next time she seen her…

Jack returned with her wine and as he was placing it down in front of her, he whispered into her ear, “Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?”

Okay, she was leaning more towards kissing her.

  ***

Flashback a couple weeks prior when Holly and Olivia had their fun girl’s day out:

“I think you should invite my brother to be your date for the wedding.” Olivia said.

They were sitting in the café that Olivia had raved about the first day she met Holly. They had already gone out to lunch, did some shopping, and ended up there when they needed something sweet to top it off. They polished off a couple chocolate croissants and were now sipping cinnamon cappuccinos. Olivia was right – she definitely knew her pastries. This place was utopia.

Olivia was the type of person that could draw you in immediately with her easy-going nature and sweet disposition. If someone couldn’t get along with her, they really had a problem. Holly had felt so comfortable around her, that before long, she had told her everything about the wedding shower and her current dilemma over finding a date.

“I don’t feel like I know him well enough to ask him to a wedding. Besides, I don’t want to come in between any other women he may be seeing.”

“Pfffft, don’t worry about that. There aren’t any other women, at least not any worth worrying about. I can run it by him first if you’re feeling nervous, but something tells me that he would have no problem saying ‘yes’.”

“Am I that much of a charity case?” Holly asked.

“Don’t be silly!” Olivia playfully slapped Holly’s arm and let out an infectious laugh. “I just know my brother, that’s all. And you, Holly dear, are far from a charity case. Any guy would jump at the chance to take you out.”

If Jack felt that way, I’m sure he would have asked me already, Holly wanted to say, but instead she threw caution to the wind and said, “Okay, sure. Why not? It’s not like I have that many options at this point.”

“Eeek!” Olivia shrieked. Actually shrieked. And jumped up and down. In fact, she was bouncing so enthusiastically that Holly was worried her enormous breasts would take out a passerby. She couldn’t figure out why Olivia was this excited, but she just chalked it up to her bubbly personality.

“I will talk to Jack soon. He has been crazy busy with work stuff lately, so I know he’d love to go have some fun!” Olivia said. “Let’s go! We’ve got to go shopping again and find you a sexy drop-dead-go-to-hell-ex-fiancé dress. But first, we need to get more of those croissants for the road - a body like this doesn’t just happen!”

  ***

And that is how, thirteen days and two hours later, Holly happened to be attending a fancy-schmancy wedding with Jack as her date. ‘Technically not a date’ date, but everyone else didn’t know that. She’d seen all the envious looks other woman (and a few men) gave her as she walked in with him. It was thrilling to know that he was with her, even if he wasn’t with her.

Jack really came through for her; Holly would have no problem facing down her ex and Miss Perfect now. Speaking of…they had been there nearly an hour and still no sign of Brian. Maybe she would luck out and he wouldn’t show at all. Yeah, right.

“That is a really great dress,” Jack said, snapping her out of her Brian-thoughts. She glanced over at the gorgeous man sitting beside her. Here she was, spending the evening with the hottest thing walking and she was thinking about her ex - what was wrong with her?

Holly finished her glass of wine and said, “Thank you. I love it too. Your sister has great taste.”

“Yeah, Olivia told me all about your day. She has nothing but good things to say about you.”

“Well, the feeling’s mutual. I’m so glad I took her up on her offer to call her. She is an incredible person – I can see us becoming good friends.”

Jack smiled, looking pleased that Holly and his sister were hitting it off. “I noticed that you were looking around a lot earlier, are you trying to find your ex?”

Holly wondered how much he really knew about her situation. “Yeah, I was just wondering if he was here yet with his new girlfriend. Doesn’t matter though, I really appreciate you doing me this favor and giving up a night to come hang with me at a wedding.”

“Holly… it wasn’t like that. I…you know what? The night is still young. Are you ready for another glass of wine?”

“I’m going to pace myself tonight. I definitely don’t want a repeat of last time. I wouldn’t mind walking around though. There are some people I should be saying hi to.”

Her and Jack worked the room for awhile, invaded lots of questions (“he’s a close friend of mine,” is all she would divulge), and ate lots of good food. Extravagant receptions served the best mini appetizers.

Just when Holly thought she was in the clear, Brian-wise, she noticed him. He spotted her also and sashayed his way over. On his arm, like a high-priced accessory, was a cool blonde. Jack picked up on Holly’s tense expression and as a result, he firmly grasped her hand. She startled a bit, it was so unexpected, but she quickly relaxed and offered up a silent “thank you”.

“Hello, Holly. So nice to see you again.” Brian gave her a peck on the cheek. “I trust you’re doing well. And who do we have here?”

“This would be Jack.” Holly felt no need to elaborate further.

“Hello,” Jack said. He released Holly’s hand just long enough to shake Brian’s, but then grabbed it again immediately afterwards and also pulled her a little closer.

A look of amusement washed over Brian’s face when he noticed Jack’s behavior. Holly wanted to smack it off.

“Nice to meet you. I’d like to introduce Elise – my fiancée.”

Holly stared at Elise and then looked at her left hand, noticing the ginormous rock on her finger. Fiancée?

Elise smiled, revealing a mouthful of perfect teeth. All veneers, no doubt. Holly just knew her eyes said, “you had your chance, but now he’s mine.”

After the introductions were completed, Holly couldn’t get away fast enough.

“Fiancée?” Holly said, to no one in particular. “Wow, he works fast. Or maybe he was seeing her on the side while still with me. Prick.”

“Are you okay?” Jack asked. He was still holding her hand, even though he didn’t need to be anymore.

“What? Oh yeah – I’m fine. I was just hoping to not have to deal with him tonight. I left him for a reason and I just want to put it all behind me.”

“Do you still have feelings for him?”

“No, not in that way…I thought I loved him once; I did agree to marry him, but now I’m not so sure I ever did. He wasn’t always a jerk. He cha
nged after coming into some money and taking over his dad’s company.”

It was at this point that Holly fully realized that Jack was still holding her hand. Hope flooded through her, followed by confusion. She wondered if he was holding her hand because he wanted to or just for Brian’s sake.

“Thank you for playing the boyfriend role earlier. I wasn’t looking forward to being the poor, pitiful woman who was all alone, while he’s strutting around with a brand new one.”

“It was all my pleasure, Holly.” Not only did he still have her hand, but he was now stroking it as well.

Damn, who knew that a hand could be an erogenous zone? Brian who?

“So, enough about me. I’m curious – have you and Olivia always been so close?”

“Pretty much. Our mother left us at an early age and there was always some kind of family drama going on. We looked out for each other. Even though she is my baby sister, she has always felt the need to take care of me. But that is a story for another day.”

“Sorry about your mom, but glad that you guys have each other. She –”

  Buzzz…Buzzz…

Jack frowned, looking at his cell. “I’m sorry, Holly. It’s work. I really need to take this call, but I shouldn’t be too long.”

Jack left for a quieter spot in the back of the room, which allowed Holly some time to start psychoanalyzing everything that happened so far tonight. She didn’t get too far before Brian popped up, sans Elise.

“I checked around, Holly. I know that Jack is not really your boyfriend. You can stop the charade now.” He ran a finger up and down her arm. It felt like a centipede crawling on Holly, and just as appealing.

“First of all, don’t touch me. And second, Jack is none of your business.”

“I didn’t mean to offend you,” Brian said, removing his hand. “Do you remember how good we were together?”

She remembered his tiny pencil dick pumping away at her, with little regard for her pleasure.

  “What’s your point, Brian?”

“I just want you to know that I forgive you for leaving. It is not too late to come back home; we can pick up right where we left off. I know you must be regretting your decision to end our relationship.”

Holly’s jaw dropped so wide, she could have fit the entire wedding cake in there.

She remained speechless for what felt like an eternity. “There are so many things wrong with what you just said; I don’t even know where to begin. You just introduced me to your fiancée! Your fiancée, Brian. Do you even know what that is?” Holly voiced escalated. “And, for your information, I have never been happier since I left. And another thing –”

“Is there a problem here?” Jack asked.

Holly hadn’t even realized that he had finished his call and was standing there, but for how long?

“I was just having a little chat with your good friend here. There are no problems. I’ll let you get back to whatever it was you were doing,” Brian said, getting up to leave. “You know where to find me, Holly.”

As soon as he had left to go back to his so-called-fiancée-whom-he-just-offered-to leave, tall, thin, blonde attorney woman – whoever the hell she was -- Holly turned to Jack. “The nerve of that man! He actually called me out. I’m not sure how he knows, but he figured out that we aren’t really together.”

“Holly, I’ll ask you once more – do you still have feelings for him?”

“What? No! I’m just frustrated because I want to move on with my life and I don’t ever want to see him again.”

Before Holly knew what was happening, Jack’s lips were on hers. It took her brain a minute to process what was going on, but then, Oh My God! His lips were so full and soft and she had never felt anything so wonderful. His tongue gently probed the inside of her lips and circled around her tongue. She wondered what else he could do with it. It was only a kiss, but she had never felt so turned-on. Her pussy was throbbing and the heat was smoldering up her body. She was suddenly way too warm and she wanted her dress off. NOW.

Jack pulled his lips away and looked into her face, which was flushed and pulsating just like every other inch of her. He seemed encouraged by her reaction and lightly stroked her cheek.

“Would you like to dance?” he asked.

Did she want to dance? She wanted him to take her home and rip these clothes off. Her breathing was erratic, but she managed to eke out a simple, “sure.”

Fully aware that Brian was watching them, and not caring whatsoever, Jack led Holly onto the dance floor. Some song was playing that Holly didn’t recognize, but it was slow enough to have their bodies touch and that was all that mattered to her.

Her mind was racing…Jack actually kissed her…She had never felt so excited in her life…Was he doing it all for show because of Brian…Or does he really like her? Could this perfect Adonis really be interested in her? I have wanted this for so long…Is this really happening?

Jack pulled her close and all doubts melted away. She could feel his hardness pressed against her and she knew that yes, this was really happening. Her body was feeling things she didn’t even know she could feel, not to this magnitude. All of this and her clothes were still on.

“You feel so good, Holly.” Jack had his arms wrapped firmly around her waist. She was so tightly forced against him that she could feel every ripple of muscle in his chest. She nuzzled her head against his shoulder, inhaling his scent. Even that was perfect – earthy, woody, spicy.

They swayed together on that dance floor, bodies fitting perfectly into place, tuning everyone else out around them. He kissed her again, this time with more urgency. Holly’s body responded by melting into him further. The heat was radiating off of them in waves and all those months of wanting and yearning, peaked right there in front of everyone.

“Hey, get a room, you two!” Some guy yelled from one of the tables.

That lightened the mood somewhat, and Holly and Jack both laughed softly.

“Holly, there is no part of me that is pretending,” Jack whispered into her ear. “I am incredibly attracted to you and I have hoped for something like this to happen since I first seen you.”

Every nerve ending in her body was electrified by his words; the rush was mind-blowing. Was it possible to have an orgasm just from Jack telling her he wants her?

In between raspy breaths, Holly said, “Let’s get out of here.”

  ***

The drive home was hazy for both of them; they couldn’t get there fast enough. Jack drove and it took every ounce of mental effort to focus on the road. His cock was brick hard, overextended, needing to be released from his pants. Holly was not helping the situation by nibbling on his neck, trailing kisses up and down his jaw line, pausing only long enough to tease his lips with her tongue. Her hands caressed his hair, brushing her fingertips down the back of his head. She had wanted to touch him like this for so long and now that she could, she couldn’t stop.

“Jesus, Holly. You’re going to get us into an accident, or at least a speeding ticket.”

He could think of nothing else besides her, which was not exactly the best thing while operating a moving vehicle. All of this touching and kissing was driving him insane; his cock couldn’t handle the strain much longer. He needed to get her home and show her that she wasn’t the only one who could tease someone to the brink of madness.

Fortunately, they made it home quickly (but still not quick enough for them) and in one piece. Who knew how they decided to go to Holly’s apartment, and not Jack’s, but they greedily pushed themselves inside.

They were so hungry for each other; delaying their cravings for any longer would be agonizing.

Holly had never felt so alive with a man before. She didn’t want to wait another second before feeling him ravish her; she was desperate to be consumed by him.

She reached for his pants, for the first time really comprehending how thick and large his cock was. She squirmed, her wetness pooling between her thighs. Was she actually
panting like an animal?

Jack groaned loudly when she touched his painfully-stiff erection. It took every shred of his self-control to take a step back.

“We need to slow down, Holly.”

“What…what?” Holly said, in between her rapid breaths. “Is there someone else? Is it tube-top girl?”

Jack looked at her like she’d lost it. “Holly – No! I’m not sure what you’re talking about, but there is no one else. You’re all I’ve been thinking about since we’ve met. You need to start believing that.” He looked into her eyes. “I’ve been wanting you so badly, which is why we need to go slower. I don’t want this over before it even has a chance to start.”

Holly let out a sigh of relief. “Oh, Jack, I’ve wanted you too. No one has ever made me feel like this before.”

Jack, lust in his eyes, pulled her to him and slowly started to remove her dress. He was tormenting her, taking it off one inch at a time, grazing her skin in the process.

He left a line of kisses down her neck, just like she had done to him in the car, but he didn’t stop there. He ran his lips down her back as he unzipped her dress, causing her to writhe with desire.

He continued doing the same, nibbling and licking his way down her chest, her stomach, her thighs, making sure to avoid all the areas underneath her bra and panties. He wanted to save those for last.

“Jack…” Holly could barely get out a word now. Her need for him was barely tolerable and he hadn’t even touched all of her yet.

“God, Holly, you are so beautiful.”

She stood before him, wearing just her lacy bra and panties. His eyes invaded every part of her body, which only ignited her further. She reached for his clothes, needing to take them off, but he grabbed her wrists.

“There’ll be time for that later. Right now this is about you.”

He took her by the hand and led her into the bedroom. He pulled the blankets aside as he placed her on the bed.

“I could stare at you all day. Your body is incredible, Holly.”

He continued what he had started in the other room; kissing, licking, and sucking his way all over her tingling body.

  “Your skin is so soft.”
