Closing his office door, he spoke to the room. “Privacy mode engaged, confirmation code G-7-T-4-6-2.”

Grai waited until the computer responded. “Confirmation code confirmed, privacy mode has been activated. All recording is discontinued until further notice. Phone and computer communications are now secure and cannot be traced.”

Grai sat at his desk for a few minutes, just staring at the phone while his mind ran through his options over again in his mind. Still he could think of no way around this.

Drawing a sharp breath, Grai picked up the phone and dialed a number he had not called in over fifteen years. He held his breath as the phone rang on the other end three times before a soft, husky voice answered the phone. “Daddy? Is everything all right?”

Grai’s heart dropped to the floor and his voice cracked as he responded. “How have you been Angel?”

The voice replied, “I’ve missed you, Daddy. Is it finally time?”

Grai sighed heavily. “Yes, little Angel, it is finally time. Are you ready? Are you sure you want to do this?” He asked, hoping like hell she would tell him no. Give him any reason at all to come up with another plan that didn’t involve her.

The voice didn’t hesitate. “I’ve been ready for twenty years Daddy. What do you need me to do?”

Grai felt his heart sink at her words and enthusiasm. “Angel, you know how dangerous this will be?” He had to ask, his conscience would allow him to do no less for her.

He expected her response and wasn’t the least surprised when she said. “I know exactly what the risks are, we’ve been over them many times. I am ready and I won’t let you down.”

Grai still cautioned her. “This will not be just an acceleration of our original plans. I will need more from you.”

The response was swift. “I will do anything that it takes. Anything. Just name it.”

Grai sighed and shook his head in frustration that it had come to this. “Little Angel, I will send you everything you need to know. Look for my message tomorrow.”

“Thank you Daddy!” Came the excited reply.

Grai smiled sadly. “I love you little Angel. You call me if you need anything. And if you put your life in danger needlessly, I will pull you out so fast your little head will spin like a possessed human. Do you understand?” Grai said, trying to sound stern.

He heard the smile in her voice when she responded. “Are you kidding? I’ve been waiting forever for this day! I’m not going to screw it up! Besides, I love you too Daddy, and the next time you see me it will be because I succeeded.”

Grai spent the next several minutes catching up with her before she was forced to leave for a party. He hung up the phone and laid his head on his desk, wishing there had been another way.

Angel hung up the phone and stared at it for a moment before bursting into tears. Finally! She thought. Finally, she would be able to do something to help. She had waited almost twenty years for him to call and activate her and every moment had been spent wishing he would call on her for her to complete her task.

Now was the time and she would finally be able to complete this and go back home. To her father and the brother she’d never seen except in pictures. She had missed so much. But every sacrifice would be worth it when she succeeded, she thought as she pulled herself together and got ready for the party with her faux friends and her faux life.

  Coming in March 2015

  Drago

Devon Sinclair loved her life. As one of the biggest parasites in DC, she spent every day bribing officials and ruining the American dream for the working class as she lobbied politicians on behalf of her clients. At the top of her game, she was highly sought after by every dirt bag corporation and scum with their own agenda to ruin America for financial gain and power.

None of them had a clue who her true employers were. The truth was, she had chosen sides in the hidden, dark war consuming the world long ago and she had never regretted it. Until she stumbled across the strange alien who literally walked into her path outside her apartment and set her heart and body on fire.

Drago fle’ te’ Trugh had come to the strange city of Washington, DC to help his brother Viper’s mate find a Prime hunter and to help track the traitorous Prime who had attempted to kill one of their own. He’d been in town only days when he ran into the beautiful, strong and enigmatic woman who short circuited his energy and left him aching to touch her.

The more clues that Drago and his brothers uncover, the more convinced he becomes that the woman of his dreams is among the members of the Relian cult trying to destroy the world and the human race.

With a Prime traitor close on their heels and the depth of the betrayal becoming clearer, Drago will have only one chance to save her, but only if he can convince her to turn from the cult determined to destroy them all.

  Authors Note:

Thanks so much to Tam and Beth for everything! You guys really are the best! I couldn’t ask for better friends and I’m beyond grateful to have you.

Thank you to everyone for your reviews, comments and most of all your support. It really does mean a lot to me.

I am taking off the rest of December to spend time with my own Traze, but will still answer all emails. Ha! That’s really a lie… there’s no way I can go for ten days without writing, so I will still work on Drago, just not as hard as normal. J

To each and every one of you, no matter what holiday you may celebrate (if any) I wish you all peace, joy and love from now through the new year.

Merry Christmas, from Mac, Traze, Gibly, Dog’ee, Thor, Jaws and Bailey
