Sagana Elant
Name Star; Sagana (Arcturus/GL 541 --69673, a K2IIIp star); Sagana was a priestess of Hekate and a Janae sorceress, who lived in Imperial Rome. She was said to be the descendant of Janus himself and Crane, an owl-witch celebrated for her craft. Capital: Thenti.
Thenti, Sagana System (Arcturus/GL 541 --69673, a K2IIIp star); rich in minerals, Thenti has a thriving mining industry and serves as the governmental center for the Sagana Elant.
Persephone, Demeter System (Gl 502--64394, a G0V star); a remote agricolony and Kaly n’Deena’s motherworld. Named for the daughter of Demeter and the goddess of the Greek underworld who ruled alongside Hades.
Storm and Siren, Agleope System (GL 525--67090, a K2 type star); Storm is known for its fierce weather and Siren for its excess UV radiation and a local insect capable of emitting sounds loud enough to cause permanent hearing loss. Siren is the motherworld of Annya T’Jinna.
Ananti 4, Trikala system (GL 538--68682, a G8V star); a local port mentioned in Book 1 “Pallas Athena”.
Almaran, Titanis System (NN 3809 A, an M2 star); the location of the local Star Service Field Headquarters for the Sagana Elant
Flora, Gaea System (GL 534 --67927, a G0IV type); famed for its exotic flowers and vegetation. From the Latin ‘flora’, for vegetation and the name of the Roman goddess of flowers.
Planet 9-A, Phantasma System (GL 480--61706, an M4 type); Latin for ‘ghost’, Phantasma is the site of an archeological dig sponsored by the University of Thermadon at Thenti.
Solara Elant
Name Star; Solara (Sol, a G2 star); after Sol, its principle star, which was named for the Roman god of the Sun (also known as Helios to the ancient Greeks). Capital: Zommerlaand.
Zommerlaand, Sunna 3 System (Alpha Centauri A, a G2V star); the location of Waanderstaad Spaceport and Grunvaald Haarmaaneplaatz. Motherworld of Katrin Bertasdaater, Ingrit Bertasdaater, Helga Mariasdaater (Grammy) and many others.
Mars and Old Gaia National Monument, Sol System (Sol, a G2 star); Mars is the oldest non-Gaian planet settled by humanity that is still in existence after the devastation of the First Widow’s War. The neighboring National Monument marks the site of Old Gaia herself which was destroyed by the Hriss in revenge for their defeat at Fomalhaut.
Calaphis, Alissar System (B. Can. Venaticorum A/GL 475, a G0V star); principally known as the home of the USS Naval Academy.
Telesalla Elant
Name Star; Telesilla (GL 841A), a talented musician, and the warrior leader of the ancient Argave women, an Amazon tribe. Capital: Tithari, Ashvah System.
New Covenant, Tamrah System (GL 838, a G0-V star); the center of the Marionite Faith and Jon fa’Teela’s motherworld. New Covenant is also the birthplace of the Redeemer.
Faith, Magdalen System (GL 838.6, an M3 type); rumored to be the home of renegade Marionite enclaves secretly practicing heterosexuality and pre-Sisterhood ‘natural’ child-birthing. As a planet, Faith itself is unique. Its primary is a red dwarf, and the native life on Faith is older and more evolved than what might have been found on Old Gaia at the time of its destruction.
Hope, Miryam System (HD 217107, a G8IV star); another Marionite world.
Thalestris Elant
Name Star; Thalestra (HP 1672, a K3V star), after a fictional queen who ruled the Amazons living between the Caucasus and the River Phasis. Her real-life counterpart may have been one of the female rulers of that area, or a Scythian princess. Capital: Thermadon, Myrene System.
Thermadon, Myrene System (Beta Hydri/HSL 1/Gl 19); both the national and provincial capital, Thermadon Val is the largest city in the Sisterhood. It derives its name from a river in the Anatolian region of Turkey on Old Gaia which comprised one of the borders of the Amazonian kingdom of Themiskrya.
Tethys, Galene System (Delta Pavonis, a G2 variant); A world of shallow seas and small islands, it honors the Titaness Tethys who ruled over the primordial oceans before the advent of the Olympian Gods. It is the motherworld of Lt. Commander Mearinn d’Rann.
Ara, Eileithyia System (GL 442 A - 57443, a G3-5 V); Lilith ben Jeni’s motherworld, Ara was colonized during the First Widow’s War when vital manufacturing facilities were relocated there for safety. Its inhabitants live largely underground in a gigantic cavern system, and its official motto is “All Good Things Come from Under the Earth.”
Nemesis, Rahdwa System (Alpha Mensae, GL 231 29271, a G5-6 V type); Covered with dense forests, this world is famous for its medicinal exports and lumber products, as well as its fierce predators and the aboriginal lifestyle of the native women. In classical Greece, Nemesis was the spirit of divine retribution against those who committed the sin of hubris. It is the motherworld of Captain Erin taur Minna and Skylaar taur Minna.
Nyx, Morpheus System (82 G. Eridani, a G8 star); in the ancient Greek religion, Nyx was the goddess of the night itself. It is a world where the successful lifeforms evolved along nocturnal lines (due to excess solar radiation during its day cycle) and home to the famous University of Nyx at Nocturne, where the Sisterhood’s finest physicians are trained. It is also the location of the Great Nightlands Waste and the home of Lady Ananzi.
Cingulum-X, Cingulum System (GJ 1277, an M class star); The USS Naval Shipyards on Cingulum-X are responsible for the construction of the majority of vessels in the Sisterhood Navy. It is where the first Isis-Class supercruisers were constructed during the First Widow’s War, and where the USSNS Pallas Athena (SBC 1323) was commissioned. Cingulum comes from the Latin word for ‘belt’, and was so named because of the many planets that orbit its primary.
Thamari Elant
Name Star; Beta-Thamaris (GL 555, an M4 class star); after Thamaris, Queen of the Massagetai, a nomadic confederation centered in Iran and Central Asia on Old Gaia. She is famous for being the slayer of Cyrus the Great (the founder of the Persian Empire). Capital: Tipande
Shana Legendre Naval Base, Sequana System (GL 526-67155, an M4 star); commissioned in honor of the great heroine of the First Widow’s War who defeated the Hriss invasion fleets, ultimately leading to the Treaty of Almari 6.
Anahita Border Zone (Annexed Sisterhood space/ETR space)
Name Star: Anahita, a Zoroastrian goddess of the waters (HSL-137 10, a G6V star)
The School (HSL-48 2124 A, a G2V variant); Part of the ETR, La Escaul hosts an experimental community officially dedicated to the study of human interaction. Unofficially, it also serves the Republic’s intelligence community by gathering information on Sisterhood culture, language and customs from the crewmembers of a Long Range Reconnaissance vessal that crash landed there.
Non-Sisterhood Systems and Worlds (Not Including the ETR)
Ashkele, Hallasa System, Xee Protectorate (HSL-2258/HP 56832, a G5 sub giant); the location of the Free City and the planet spanning Necropolis. It is the home port for the C-JUDI-GO.
A’latar, Evaar’eea System (HSL-29997, a G1-G2V star), Pa’lla Space; a water-world similar to Tethys and known for the healing properties of its many resorts. Due to the unique structure of their eyes, the Pa’lla are able to perceive the green spectrum of their primary, and equate this color with their concept of God.
