“I hope he ain’t trying to take my son too,” Robert snapped.

“Nah, just the girls,” I lied.

Even though Mayhem knew that Mace wasn’t his, he still included him in his petition for full custody.

“I swear I got something coming for all of their asses!” I shouted.

“What your ass gonna do?” Robert asked.

“I’mma fuck with all of them, one by one, starting with Tiny,” I spat.

I was pissed at how she came in and took my man and kids from me. Mayhem was in love with her and when the girls were home, all they talked about was her. Before Tiny, I was my little girls’ shero. Now all of a sudden, they were always comparing the two of us.

“Let me help you,” Robert said.

  “Are you sure?” I asked.

“Yes, I hate seeing my baby hurt. Let me help you get back at those motherfuckers one by one,” he smirked.

“You’d do that for me?” I asked.

“I’d do anything for you,” he replied, kissing me on the lips.

The way Robert went hard for me had me feeling bad for the way I was treating him. As soon as I brought pain to every single one of those Godfreys, I was going to settle down with him. It didn’t matter that he was living off of crumbs. As long as I held full custody of my girls, my pockets would stay fat.

“What are we going to do?” I asked.

“We’re going to start with that bitch Tiny like you said. I got something special planned for your ex-husband; you don’t even have to worry about him,” Robert said, causing me to smile.

“I like the way that sounds.”

“The first thing I need you to do is tell me everything you know about his operation.”

“What do you mean?” I asked, puzzled.

“I’m not stupid; I know the Godfrey brothers are in the drug game. In order for us to walk away from this plan rich and untouched, I need to know everything,” he stressed.

“I don’t know much. I mean, Mayhem never really talked to me about ‘work’,” I truthfully replied.

I remember one day I questioned him about a duffel bag filled with coke I found in our garage and he almost chewed my head off for snooping.

“You got to know something,” Robert probed.

“I do know that the Godfrey Brothers empire is split in two sections; one-half specializes in legit businesses, and the other was where all the illegal money was made,” I replied.

“Tell me more about the illegal money.”

“I don’t really know too much; Ramsey was the one who dealt with that. Oh, wait, I do know that every first and twenty-fifth of the month were important days.”

“Why do you say that?” he asked.

“Those are the only days Mayhem really dealt with the illegal side of the empire. Mayhem really didn’t like getting his hands dirty, but those two days out of the month, he would spend the whole day with his brothers, handling their drug business.”

  “Could it be re-up days?”

“I’m not sure, possibly. I do know that he used to come home with a bunch of duffel bags and place them in the vault we had in our house.”

“Is the vault still there?” Robert anxiously asked.

“No, the night before Mayhem turned himself in, him and his brother cleared it out,” I replied.

“With that little information we have, we’re going to fly back to Florida and lay low while we prey,” Robert said, as he broke down the weed in the crisp hundred-dollar bill he grabbed out of my wallet.

“I do have this cop friend that is willing to help us. He’s Tiny’s baby daddy and he really wants to take the Godfrey brothers down,” I suggested.

“I don’t fuck with pigs,” Robert spat.

  “He can help us.”

“I don’t give a fuck! You never trust them pigs in blue. As soon as he gets what he wants, he’s gonna come for your ass,” he said.

“Well, we don’t have to use him. As long as we can turn Tiny’s life upside down like she did mine, I’m all in,” I smiled.

“This Tiny bitch must be a baddie,” he chuckled.

“She ain’t fucking with me on my worse day.” I sucked my teeth.

“Whatever, man. Come suck this dick while I puff on this good shit,” Robert said, as he grabbed my arm.

“OUCH!” I cried, once his hand made contact with my wound.

“Sorry. I still want my dick sucked tho’.”

Slowly dropping down on my knees, I unbuckled his pants and freed his dick. Once his one eyed monster was standing at attention, I wrapped my lips around it and saluted that motherfucker.

“Ahhhhhh!” Robert moaned, as a cloud of potent smoke filled the air. “Suck this shit,” he said in between coughing.

“Like this, Daddy?” I asked, as I deep throated him, allowing my tongue to drop out of my mouth to tickle his ball.

“Yes! Fuck, like thattttttttttttt! Damn girl.”

  Tiny

Everyone falls in love sometimes I don't know 'bout you but it ain't a crime If you let me love you, love you, love you for long time baby If you let me touch you, and if you let me love you 'til the morning, oh…

Tory Lanez’s “Luv” blasted through my phone speakers letting me know my man was calling.

  “Hello?” I answered the phone.

“Yo’, where the fuck are you?” Mayhem asked.

“At the gym with Emma, why?” I asked.

“Why the fuck can’t you sit your ass home like the doctor ordered?”

“Mayhem, I came to the gym to walk. All I’m doing is walking on the treadmill. You act like I’m out here lifting weights,” I argued.

“If you wanted a walk so bad, you could have went to the damn park!” he barked.

“I’m sick and tired of sitting in the damn house like I’m some type of inmate. I have a life too, ya know?”

“Your life don’t start until you give birth to my baby, now bring your ass home!” he yelled before hanging up the phone.

“Mayhem giving you grief, girl?” Emma asked.

“Yes. Ever since I started seeing that high-risk doctor, he started treating me like a cripple.” I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t trip, he just wants to make sure you’re good, ya know?” Emma assured me.

“I hear ya, but that shit is mad annoying.

“Excuse me, sorry to bother you ladies. The gym is promoting these fruit smoothies and as a part of the promotion, we’re giving them away for free,” a pretty, brown skinned girl said with a smile.

“I’m pregnant. I can’t have any of those workout shakes,” I declined.

“These smoothies are made with fruits, ice and almond milk. I used to crave these when I was pregnant,” she said.

“In that case, I’ll take one,” I said, grabbing the smoothie.

“I’ll take one too,” Emma chimed.

“That was the last free sample, but I’m sure I can go grab you another if you have a sec,” the girl replied.

“Em, it’s cool, have some of mine,” I said, sticking the straw in the drink and taking a sip.

“No, it won’t take but five minutes. I’ll be back with your drink,” the girl said before heading towards the back.

“She really pushing these smoothies,” Emma joked.

“Umm, I see why; this shit is good. Try it.”

“Uh uh, honey, my mother used to always tell me not to eat after a pregnant woman,” Emma replied.

“Shut up, I know you don’t believe in that shit.”

“I do,” she said, holding up a cross at me.

“You and Ramsey will be next,” I said, taking another sip of my smoothie. Lil mama was going to have to give me this recipe because this smoothie was bomb.

“I missed my period,” Emma softly said.

  “Wait, come again?” I asked.

“Here’s your smoothie,” the smoothie girl interrupted, as she handed Emma her drink.

  “Thank you,” Emma replied.

  “D
o you ladies need anything else?” she asked.

  “No, thank you,” I replied.

“Ummm, this smoothie is good,” Emma moaned, disregarding what she just said.

  “Don’t change the subject, hoe!”

  “I’m late,” she frowned.

“Did you take a test yet?”

  “I’m scared of the results.”

“Why? If you are, I know for a fact Ramsey would be there for you every step of the way. He may be crazy, but that nigga worships the ground you walk on,” I assured her.

“I know, but I don’t know if I want a baby right now,” she replied.

  “You don’t?”

“I mean, I do love Ramsey, but I feel like I just really started my career and I want to work in my field for a little bit longer, get a promotion, get married and have a strong foundation before I start building a family.”

“You don’t think you have a strong foundation with Ramsey?” I asked.

“I think we have a firm one, but it’s not strong yet. We’re still fresh, ya know? I just don’t want to rush things.”

  “Like me,” I said.

  “No, that’s not what I mean, T.”

“I know, but you need to buy a test and find out first.”

  “I know.”

“Cheer up. At least our babies will be close in age,” I joked.

  “Stop it!” she shrieked.

Before I could open my mouth, Mayhem was calling me again. I wasn’t in the mood to argue with him, so I forwarded his call.

“We better go before he brings his crazy ass up in here,” Emma said.

“Girl, he will be alright; he ain’t my daddy.” I rolled my eyes.

We sat there sipping our smoothies and having girl talk about Emma’s situation.

“You ain’t see my ass calling you?” Mayhem asked with a mug on his face.

“Mayhem, what are you doing here?” I asked, embarrassed that he actually brought his ass in this gym filled with people.

“You thought I was playing when I told you to bring your ass home?” he asked.

“I’m not even working out; I’m chilling with Emma, talking.” I rolled my eyes.

“See, this the shit I be talking about,” he said, snatching me up out of my chair. “Bring your ass on!” he demanded.

  “I’m Emma’s ride!” I yelled.

Mayhem snatched my keys from me and handed them to Emma.

“Drive yourself home, sis. I’ll come get the car later,” Mayhem said.

  “You’re a fucking fool,” I huffed.

“When I say bring your ass home, I mean it! The fuck you need to come to the gym for when we got a mini one in the house? Your ass ain’t even supposed to be doing anything but going to school and bringing ya ass back home! You taking this high-risk pregnancy shit as a game,” he ranted.

“Mayhem, you didn’t have to come in there and clown me like that in front of Emma! You don’t have to keep treating me like a child. I’m a grown ass woman! All I basically did was slowly walk on the treadmill while Emma worked out. I know what and what not to do.”

“While you carrying my baby, you will chill out. Damn ma, why you can’t relax?”

“I need a life outside of this house, Mayhem. I don’t want to be lying around all day.”

“Just do as I say,” he said, waving me off.

  “Mayhem, I am—”

  “Yo’, you hungry?” he asked.

“Yes. I want some shrimp alfredo, baked chicken and garlic bread,” I replied.

“Iight,” he said, making his way to Walmart.

As we walked through the store, gathering the items for my meal, I could feel mild cramping. I remember the doctor telling me that could happen when you’re dehydrated, so I grabbed a bottle of water and downed it.

“I’m not going to jail because your thirsty ass stealing water and shit,” Mayhem joked.

“Shut up, you paying for it anyways.” I waved him off, grabbing another bottle.

The drive back home was an uncomfortable one. I didn’t want to alarm Mayhem, so I just sat in the car, praying this slight pain would go away. When we made it home, I went to our bedroom, took two Tylenol, then laid down for a nap.

“AHHHHHHHH FUCK!!!!” I cried, as I felt a sharp pain in my stomach.

“MAYHEM!!” I yelled, feeling the pain get worse.

I was in so much pain that I became paralyzed. The only thing I could think about was my baby and pray this wasn’t happening again. I felt between my legs get wet and I started bawling like a baby.

“What’s wrong… Oh, shit!” Mayhem said when he walked in the room.

“It hurts so bad,” I cried.

“Fuck man!!” he yelled, picking me up out of the bed and rushing downstairs.

He placed me in the car and sped to the hospital. I could tell he was upset because the vein in his neck stood at attention. His eyes got misty; therefore, I knew he was already preparing himself for the worse. When we arrived at the hospital, Mayhem illegally parked his car and grabbed me out of the car, making a dash towards the entrance.

“My girl… she’s pregnant and she’s in pain,” Mayhem said, once we made it to the front desk nurse.

“Ok, bring her back here,” the nurse said, swiping her badge to open the door.

Mayhem laid me in the hospital bed as we waited for a nurse.

“Tineah, honey, you’re going to have to calm down; your blood pressure is too high,” the nurse said, as she took my BP for the third time.

“I need you to check on my baby, not my blood pressure,” I snapped.

“Calm down. As soon as the tech is ready, we’re going to take you up for a scan to check on the baby,” she said. “I’m going to come back in ten minutes to check your vitals. Try to calm down for me, please.”

The nurse walked out of the room, leaving me with a bunch of unanswered questions. With the amount of blood that was coming out of me, I knew this wasn’t going to end well, but I still held on to some hope. I hated how I was being hard headed when Mayhem was only doing everything in his power to avoid this situation.

I looked over at Mayhem, but he wouldn’t look back at me. I already knew what was on his mind from the way he stared at the cream walls with a unit on his face. Mayhem was pissed and I knew it was only a matter of time before he blew up.

The nurse came in shortly after to take me up for a scan of the baby. I tried to look at the screen to see if I could see anything, but I didn’t. I tried reading the nurse’s expression, but it was blank. Closing my eyes, I held on to the small amount of hope that I would walk out of here still pregnant with my baby.

“Thank you very much, Ms. Thompson. The doctor will review everything and explain it all,” she smiled.

“Can you just tell me if my baby is alive or not?” I begged.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t. I could lose my job if I do,” she frowned.

“Yeah, whatever.” I rolled my eyes.

When we made it back to the room, Mayhem was still standing in the same spot I left him in, looking at the walls. I wanted to say something, but I knew I was walking on thin ice with him. I wanted him to reach over and hug me, tell me that everything was going to be ok, but I was asking for too much. I knew in Mayhem’s mind I was responsible for whatever happened to the baby.

“Ms. Thompson,” the old aged doctor said, walking into the room.

“Yes,” I replied with a shaky voice.

“I regret to inform you but you miscarried the baby,” he said, causing Mayhem to punch a huge hole in the wall.

“I’m sorry, sir, but we do not tolerate that type of behavior here!” the doctor sternly said to Mayhem.

“I don’t give a fuck,” Mayhem spat. “All of this is your fault! Your dumbass just couldn’t sit your ass home. You lost two of my babies back to fucking back. How the fuck did you manage to do that? I guess when I dragged your ass out of that abortion clinic you were determined not to have my youngins,” Mayhem snapped, as he s
hot me the nastiest look.
