I find I care about Fiona, and I am conflicted about her romance issues. That is a problem I’m not terribly fond of having.
Normally, I am a “one girl, one romance” type of story person.
I’m not AT ALL fond of romance triangles or any other situations when it comes to romance. I have found in this series that Auburn has a way of not causing me nearly the amount of angst I associate when a guy tries to get the girl.
I could be because Fiona doesn’t want a guy, period. She isn’t leading anyone on, and she isn’t waxing philosophically about this guy or that.
So, the guys all know that they are on even footing. They can wait for their shot eventually or bow out.
That’s fair, right?
Well, it works for me, so kudos to Auburn for dealing with my triangle-romance anxiety issues.
So, I’ve read the first 40,000 words of book three. Hold on to your…uh…hats? Sure, let’s go with hats because the ride is fantastic all the way through!
