The Ultimate Fight

“Isn’t that the nothing from the party?” Thomas asked once they bid the family goodbye. They were walking down the hallway.

“Hold that thought, block this hallway.” Barron said and walked towards Mya as she stood writing something on a clipboard. Her back was to him so she wasn’t aware of what was going on around her until she was snatched into an empty patient room and the door was closed.

“What the…” The words died on her tongue at the seething look she was getting from Barron. She had never feared any man but her father but right now she honestly could possibly shit bricks she was so nervous. Once she considered his stature was sexy but now it looked extremely intimidating.

  “Hello to you too Mya.”

  “Hi.”

“Is that all you have to say for never calling me?”

“B.A. or Barron, what do you want me to call you?”

“Call me what the hell you want they are both my names. One is just a nickname.” He mocked.

“I didn’t know what to say.”

“Oh I don’t know how about; how are you? Maybe even filled me in on how the tests went. Something, I never heard from you once I left.”

“You may have experience in calling a perfect stranger whom you had a one-night stand with but unfortunately I wasn’t blessed with that knowledge. Excuse the hell out of me.”

“Miss me with that attitude Lil mama, you know damn well why you were supposed to call me. Screw the small talk, why don’t you start with how far along you are?”

  “Three months.”

“Three months?!” Barron shouted causing her to flinch away from him. Instead of continuing to scream he reached out to touch her stomach only to have her recoil away from him as if he was going to hit her. He held his hands up in surrender. Suddenly he knew this wasn’t the place for this conversation. Soon there was a knock on the door letting him know that his thoughts were accurate. “Obviously this isn’t a good place to talk. What time do you get off?”

“I get off at seven tonight.”

“I will be at your house at seven and don’t even think about trying to dodge me. Understood?” She nodded and he left to cool down before their conversation later tonight. He feared that this wasn’t going to be good at all.

Three weeks after Barron left her she was still in a state of disbelief that she had been with him. Kim and Shannon couldn’t wait to rub in her face that she was now one of them having bagged the infamous B.A. This whole time they knew she was with him at the party and never said a thing. They figured if she already had him why not kick it with his henchmen. Well that’s how it started but they turned out to be some losers. Shannon was convinced the Toby guy was gay and Kim said that Davey had no head game so she just faked a cramp saying her period felt near getting as far away from dodge as possible. Not wanting to kiss and tell she kept to the excuse that nothing happened between them. They just kissed and fooled around a little before he had to leave.

Damon on the other hand wasn’t as easily fooled as he started to notice something different about her as soon as he touched down three days after their rump. His face lit up like a light bulb as realization had set in that she not only got her some but she got some so fierce she had a different walk. Blushing profusely didn’t help her argument that it was nothing, Damon wasn’t buying it. He didn’t push thankfully but once her appetite started to shift, became extremely moody, and sleepy all the time he knew then that this wasn’t just about some goody good. She had gotten herself knocked up. Denying it for over a month had him kidnap her taking her to the drug store against her will. Once there they grabbed three different tests and checked out.

“Damn do you have to stand right by the door?” Mya asked with an attitude when they got back to her townhouse. Damon waited for her to piss on all three sticks with his back against the wall near the bathroom door.

“Shut up and just do it.”

“Why are you being so mean to me?”

“Cause you living in denial, ass walking around here pregnant as all get up and not taking proper care of yourself. Knowing how ugly you are being, you might try and throw the damn things away without even taking them.”

“But you gotta watch me pee on them?”

“Quit acting bashful, I’ve seen or heard you do a lot more than just piss. Remember when you had that stomach virus?” He started bringing up old stuff but it gained a groan and a laugh from her. That was his goal, she was so down on herself for letting the one time she get careless possibly affect her life from this day forward.

“Shut up! Do not bring up that embarrassment.”

“I’m just saying.” Mya washed her hands and sat on the ledge of the garden tub. Damon was now leaning against the sink. The tests had already changed to give her the answers to what her head or heart may not be prepared for. “Are you ready?”

  “No not really.”

  “Well get ready.”

  “What does the test say?”

“Normally folks would say congratulations but since I know better I’m gonna say I got your back whichever way you want to handle this.” Mya just cried silently because she didn’t have words to express how she felt at that moment. Damon just hugged her tight rocking her back and forth.

  “It’s okay baby girl.”

  “How?”

“What do you want to do?”

“Abortion is not an option. Adoption is not going to happen, my family would kill me. Hell they may kill me anyway for getting pregnant and by someone I don’t know at that.”

“You never told me who this cat is you bumped.”

  “It doesn’t matter. I can’t tell him.”

“It does matter and why not?”

“Please can we just drop it? I’m tired.” Damon wanted to continue to push because he wanted to find this dude to at least give him an opportunity to step up before he has to kill him for being a deadbeat. He didn’t want to add stress to her so he let the argument die down. For now anyway.

“Go lie down and I will go fix you something to eat.”

  “Okay. Thanks Damon.”

  “You’re welcome baby girl.”

“Damon.” She called before he left out of the room. “Love you.”

“Love you too boo. Get some rest. I’ll be back.”

Two months later she was adjusting to the fact that she was expecting a little person in six months or so. She contemplated several times on whether she wanted to call Barron to let him know that he was going to be a father but she would always chicken out before the phone would fully ring. Once she planned on calling late one night but was yanked from that thought when she saw him on entertainment news with a cute model on his arm. The caption read ‘Fighter and his love interest,’ right then the jealousy that poured out of her was suffocating. How could he just move on and never look back? He didn’t even try and get in contact with her. Sure he only left his number and didn’t get hers but how hard is it to find her.

Her parents took it a lot better than she thought. They expressed their heartfelt support, stating she was a grown woman and was stable in her career that she could afford a child. There was no room for finger pointing she was punishing herself enough. Her father on the other hand did express his disdain at her decision to not fill the father in on his pending parenthood. She may have Damon as the fill in but it still wasn’t right to leave the other half out altogether. Deciding to send him a text message instead to see if he would at least give her call, she waited. The return message was enough to come to the conclusion that she would be a single mother like so many others. She texted that they needed to discuss the results of her tests and the message she received said that she needed to ‘HANDLE IT.’

Not that she expected him to be overly excited but she didn’t think in million years he would be so cold about it. In her eyes ‘handle it’ meant she needed to get rid of it and that she wasn’t going to do no matter who the father was. He wasn’t running shit her way. She knew she would
never see him again considering that she wasn’t out and about like that. Of course her two money grubbing associates started to question whether the child was B.A.’s and she just denied it to save face. Plus she knew how they operated, they might try and sale the story to the press or something. That’s all she needed was to look like a money grubbing bimbo because all fingers will point straight at her if the story was leaked. Soon they started to point fingers at Damon but neither of them denied it so that’s what they ran with.

Everything was going perfect until the day she was face to face with the one whom she had been hoping she wouldn’t have to see again. The anger that radiated off of him was scary as hell. She didn’t understand why he was so upset, he told her to handle it and in her thoughts she did. By excluding him as her baby’s father, she handled it. When he said he would be at her house when she got off she thought about running for the hills but thought better of it. The consequences would only be worst if she avoided the confrontation awaiting her. Pulling up to her house she didn’t see any signs of company so she rushed in to take a quick shower and got comfortable in her lounge pants with matching tank top. No sooner than she put her comfy socks on her doorbell rang signaling his arrival or the Chinese food she ordered.

“Looks like I’m right on time.” Barron stated cryptically. Mya stepped out of the way to let him pass over the threshold. “Where do you want me to put the food?”

“Just sit it on the table. Thanks.”

  “You’re welcome.”

“Would you like something to drink?”

“Yeah just bring me whatever is fine.”

  “You hungry?”

“All this is for you. I thought maybe you ordered for me too.”

“How would I do that I don’t know anything about you let alone what you like to eat?” Mya tried to be snappy but it didn’t come out like she wanted. She was finding it hard to be mean to him.

“Well lucky for you we have similar taste buds when it comes to Chinese food because these are some of my favorites.” He chuckled at her failed attempt. She passed him a plate and fork. They ate in silence for a few minutes before she got self-conscience because Barron kept staring in her direction.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“I never knew the glow that people say they see was real but now I see that it is. How have you been?”

“Okay I guess. I have my days where I’m perfectly fine with no sickness and others where I can’t keep anything down. The excessive sleeping is starting to get better. How have you been?”

“Good. I’ve been on the road for the past three months.” She nodded her head. “Let’s cut the bullshit Mya.”

  “Let’s.”

“Is that my baby you are carrying?” At Barron’s question Mya scrunched her eyebrows at him before squinting her eyes as she laughed without a hint of humor.

“Fuck you Barron!” Mya exclaimed. “How dare you ask me something like that?”

“Fuck me? Got-damn Mya I thought I was doing the right thing by telling you about the condom breaking. I could have been a dick and just let you figure it out whenever. I told you to call me and you never even bothered to tell me that you were in fact pregnant. What the hell am I supposed to think? Maybe this good girl act was all just a damn act. How do I know that you weren’t already in a relationship? Hell I don’t. If I never walked into that hospital room, the hospital you work at I would have never saw you again.”

“Never contacted you? How fucking dare you come into my house spewing bullshit? I texted you asking that you call me because we needed to discuss some things about the test results. I received a text from you saying to handle it. Handle it? Do you know how that made me feel? I was done after that. Me not being as genuine as the person you met, hell how about you not being the guy I met? Yes I know I slept with you the first night and sometimes I regret it but if not then I wouldn’t be carrying this gift. I will not regret my baby just because you do.”

“I never received a message from you and damn sure never sent one telling you to handle a damn thing. I never said I regretted anything, stop putting words in my mouth.”

“What?! Are you calling me a liar?”

  “I’m just stating the facts.”

“I have no reason to lie Barron.”

  “Neither do I. Mya.”

“Is this not your phone number?” Mya showed him the thread with three messages in it between her and the number to his phone. Looking at the date closely he remembered he had gotten a new phone earlier that day and was with Naomi that night.

“That’s my number Mya but you gotta believe me I didn’t send any message. As a matter of fact I couldn’t because I didn’t have my phone most of the day. I broke the screen while in the gym. I did send it to be uploaded to a computer so that I could keep all of my contacts, pictures, and such. I waited for you to call me, I felt in my heart that you were pregnant but after I didn’t get any new messages I figured you weren’t.” From the sincerity of his words Mya believed that he really didn’t send her a message. But who would?

  “What now?”

“When is your next doctor’s appointment? When do you find out what you’re having?”

“My next appointment is in two weeks and hopefully I get to see the sex of the baby.”

  “I’m going with you.”

  “You don’t have…”

“No, I want to.” Barron features softened. “Come here Mya.” He demanded with an outstretched hand.

“Yea?” He led her to stand directly in between his legs so leaning forward he could rest his head on hear rounding tummy. Lifting her shirt just enough to see the thickening of her waist. He rubbed her belly in a circular motion. Leaving a lingering kiss that traveled through her entire body. Feeling her body tremble under his grasp on her hips, he took several whiffs inhaling her natural scent. With her being so short without her heels on his face was right near the contour of her V where he ran his nose along the line of her pants that rode low on her hips. The scent coming from between her thighs was doing all kinds of things to his hormones. It wasn’t helping him a bit that she was running her soft hands over his waves massaging his scalp with her fingertips. All he knew was he wanted her something terrible. “Barron?”

“Yeah?” Barron looked up into Mya’s curious gaze. He had to bite his lip to keep from doing something more. Her eyes followed his lips and before either said anything. She attacked his lips with hers. Running his muscular hands up, down, and around her curves was turning her on to no end.

“Barron I need you.” Mya said in between kisses.

“You got me baby.” They both smiled before they deepened the kiss. Since he knew where her bedroom was, he wasted no time picking her up to wrap her legs around his waist carrying her to the bedroom. Barron paused for a moment when they were undressed completely.

  “What’s wrong?”

  “I didn’t bring any condoms.”

“Well at least I know you didn’t come over just to have sex.” Mya joked and Barron chuckled thinking how right she was.

“I have some that I got in a gift set about six months ago. They’re in the nightstand, the box has never been opened. So…” She trailed off and waited for him to check them for himself. Sitting back on his hunches he gazed down at her protruding midsection and further down to her open thighs showcasing her smooth peach. His hands had a mind of their own as he started to stimulate her already aroused body. “Mmm… Barron…” She bit her lip to hold in any more moans. At the sight before him he said to hell with it, what else could go wrong? She was already pregnant. Taking a nipple into his mouth at the same time as he penetrated her core, he found she was just as tight as the last time he was inside of her.

“Damn…” He hissed from the sensation of being in her sugary goodness with no sleeve. Always hearing how different it felt to be in all the way raw, he would have never imagined being in anybody raw before he got married. Having a baby mama at the age of twenty seven
is as close as he is going to get right now.

“Yea…” Mya let out a satisfied moan feeling where he was coming from as he moved in and out at a nice steady pace. Deciding he had enough four play he started laying the pipe with a sense of urgency. The moans quickly turned to screams as he kept going until they both blew their loads breathing heavily.

Soon enough she was asleep on her side leaving him to his own thoughts. The ringing of his phone woke him a couple of hours later. From the ring tone he knew it was Naomi. The chick he was seeing up until two weeks ago when she wanted to take it to a serious level and he was unwilling to do that. Instead of answering the call he just got dressed and dipped out. Taking her garage door opener that was on the kitchen island so he could lock up somewhat without waking her. He needed to clear his head because his thoughts were all over the place. He’d just call Mya later so they could discuss where this was going to take them.

  Chapter five

Mya woke up the next morning after an eventful night with Barron only to find out she was completely alone. Thinking maybe he went to the living room. She searched her house and sure enough he had left. Left without a goodbye, see ya later, or dog kiss my ass. Just a big fat nothing. The hurt she felt now was more excruciating than what she felt when she got that mysterious text message. A moment of weakness is only breaking her spirit more and more each time she is with him. The first time they were together, the experience was more than magical. It was explosive, he alternated between wooing her body to screwing her body. Obviously to him she is only a piece of meat and it was high time she just got over it. Of course she would let him have dealings with their child but other than that he needed to keep it moving. That is, if he even wanted to have a relationship with his kid.

“Baby girl?!” Damon yelled when he let himself into her house. Mya was just stepping out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel. After the whole rejection feeling seeped in, she started cleaning her house starting with the crumpled sheets on her bed.

  “In here!”
