“Um, is there a way for me to speak with Master Grant or Sir Harrison?”

“Is that really what you’d like?”

Lydia’s question was obviously phrased in a way that made Elena realize that it wasn’t a good idea. Butt plugs weren’t on her limit list, neither soft nor hard. Maybe she was just having trouble with the fact they wanted someone else to insert it inside of her. Elena reluctantly lay back down, but couldn’t get her lower half to relax.

“Just listen to the music as Esteban massages your muscles.”

Elena tried. She really did. And Esteban was damn good with his hands, as they rubbed up and down her back, his thumbs pressing deep to knead her knotted-up tissue. But he wasn’t good enough to keep her mind off of what was coming next. The twenty-minute massage felt like two hours and when he removed his hands, Elena immediately tensed.

  “Troubled, my sweet Elena?”

Relief, excitement, and arousal washed over her. She knew better than to move from her position, though.

“Master Grant,” Elena whispered, as her body immediately responded to his voice.

“Did you really think we would allow another to penetrate you?”

Elena didn’t answer, because she just hadn’t known. She wanted to please them like no others before. She felt like because she hadn’t used her safe word and trusted them, this was her reward. Trust equaled reward. When was she ever going to get that through her head?

“You will accept this plug for us, for we have big plans for you this evening.” She could still hear Lydia and Esteban move about the room. To know they were going to watch as her body accepted the plug from Grant’s hands only seemed to arouse her further. “This will stay in you through the remainder of the evening, and yes, even during your scene in front of the entire membership.”

Elena’s anus was clenched and no matter how much she willed herself to relax, the thought of those three inches stretching her was almost unbearable. Would he allow her to come? She heard him uncap the lube and within seconds, felt the large bulb slip in between her crevice. Why wasn’t he positioning her on her knees? It would be so much easier to accept.

The wide tip, if she could even call it a tip, pressed against her tight ring. Grant pushed it in with his fingers until she felt that welcoming sting. It was the burn she wasn’t sure she wanted, because it would keep her on edge unless he commanded her to come. He pulled back. Gently, he repeated his motions. She moaned as it widened her muscle.

“That’s right. Take what I give you.”

Elena couldn’t help but raise her hips, trying to push back against the plug.

“Did I tell you that you could move?”

“No, Master Grant,” Elena said, although she knew it came out as more of a cry.

Over and over, Grant worked her anus with the wide gumdrop plug until he was almost fucking her with it. She had to curl her hands into fists at the burn he’d created. She wanted to come so badly. Her body was ready to explode. Couldn’t he see that? Maybe he would say her special word.

“Harrison is now setting up your scene. I will be there, watching and observing, as he takes you higher and higher.” Elena was so conflicted. Her body was on the verge of an orgasm, yet his words were like ice water. “Know that I will see every emotion that crosses your face, whether it be pleasure, pain, fear, or panic. I want that to reassure you, my sweet Elena.”

Why would she need assurance? She’d gotten very good at preventing subspace, not that either one of them would know that she was doing it on purpose. They didn’t, did they? He pushed the plug in farther than before, her sphincter practically wrapping itself around the base to keep in inside of her.

“Your scene will wrap up beautifully, and then we will retire for the night in one of the guest cottages. Are you in agreement, Elena?”

Grant pulled out the plug, only to press it back in. This time, he let her muscle grab tight and it was finally inside of her. She felt full, with a constant burning to remind her that the plug was there and what its intentions were. Her body was being prepared to accept both of them. She’d been thinking he’d permit her to come, but his next words left her cold.

“Sir Harrison is waiting for you. You’ll be on the receiving end of his whip, but know that you will love every second of it.”

Elena wanted to rail at him that no reassurance could get her to go up on that stage now. Her entire body tightened as if it hadn’t just had a massage. Images were now running rampant through her mind of her last experience with a whip. She knew the pain it could bring. She knew the pleasure it could bring. And she knew that if she reached subspace, she’d beg for more despite her physical pain. Her safe word was at the tip of her tongue, when he practically threw her own words back at her.

  “Do you trust us yet?”

  Chapter Sixteen

Any other time, Elena would have welcomed the burn in her anus as she was led across the floor of the main ballroom. She welcomed the dim lighting, as it probably hid the fact that she had no color in her face. Her heart was racing and her hands were shaking, and not for the reason these people might think. Fear had taken hold of her and she felt it constricting tighter and tighter the closer she got to the middle of the room.

“You will be secured, facing the St. Andrew’s cross. I will be standing directly in front of you, close enough to watch your expressions, but far enough away where I won’t interrupt Harrison’s swing.”

“Master Grant,” Elena whispered, trying to slow down their steps. It was impossible, for he held her leash in his hand. She had no choice but to keep up with him.

“You are to listen to Sir Harrison. You are to listen to me. I want you to feel and hear only us and his whip.”

He’d spoken like she hadn’t uttered his name. Couldn’t he see that she didn’t want to feel or hear the whip, regardless that Harrison was the one wielding it? But yet, she did. She wanted to feel the tip of his whip against her skin. She wanted to hear the crack of the supersonic fall as he pulled back on the handle. This was what she craved, but it was what her nightmares were made of. How could she want yet hate the same thing?

“Master Grant.” Elena stumbled slightly, causing Grant to turn around and face her. There was something in his eyes that frightened her. She had been about to use her safe word, needing time to come to terms with facing her fears in front of total strangers, yet she knew from the way his mouth tightened that she would lose everything should she say it. “I–I do trust you.”

  “Good.”

Grant turned and kept walking. That was it? Good? People cleared a path, which he led her through. As the crowd parted, she saw Harrison waiting for them. His appearance cut through the haze that had overtaken her thoughts. He’d removed his tuxedo jacket and rolled up his dress shirt sleeves. His bow tie hung down on either side of his collar, having been untied. His mask was still in place, yet she couldn’t mistake the intensity his blue eyes were shooting her way. He held in his hand a flogger, not a whip. He looked like a warrior. Multiple emotions washed over her.

Irritation was at the forefront. Did he think she wouldn’t go through with it? What was she thinking? Of course he did. She hadn’t given him any other reason to doubt that she’d use her safe word under such an extreme scene. His blue eyes practically dared her to say it, to end everything they’d worked for. But she trusted them. Didn’t she? She did!

Grant held up Elena’s leash to Harrison, while he took her hand and assisted her in taking a step up to the stage. The red velvet material that was draped over the stage felt soft underneath her feet. Harrison’s hand felt warm, and she tightened her grip to get more of his heat. She heard quiet murmurs throughout the crowd and knew every stare was directed at her. Her skin drew heat from their eyes on her, somehow different from being displayed at the club. Could she do this?

“Blossom, you will open up for me this evening and show everyone here your true colors,” Harrison exclaimed in a loud voice. If somebody hadn’t been watc
hing them, they were now. “You will be vibrant and electrifying, giving them a glimpse into what is ours. They will be envious, yet know that their brothers have finally found the one to serve us.”

Did that mean they had come to a decision regarding the end of their contract? Elena wanted to ask, but knew that it wasn’t the time now. She was theirs to do with as they wished. She wanted to make them proud, yet was fearful she would disappoint them. But Elena knew the secret now to keep herself from falling too deep into subspace and she would use it. If she were facing the cross, she would be able to grind her hips into the padded material, using her clit to keep herself grounded.

“Master Grant, please bind our beautiful sub to the cross.”

As Grant took her leash and led the few steps across the stage, Elena caught a glimpse of the whip that was lying close by. Recognition dawned and she knew he would use the flogger to warm her skin, similar to what she’d experienced before with Adam. Her breathing became slightly erratic as the memories started crashing down on her.

“What happened?” Elena whispered, trying to roll on her back.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Adam chuckled. “Man, you should have seen yourself. I’ve never seen a woman hit subspace like that before. You couldn’t get enough.”

She lay on her stomach and bent her arm, trying to feel for what she knew would be there. Elena vaguely remembered asking him to use the whip harder. Her fingers brushed over the bandages.

  “I–I was bleeding.”

“Hell, yes.” Adam sat down, holding out a bottle of water. “A little salve and some bandages will do the trick. You’ll be back in business within a week.”

  “But I didn’t want—”

“Oh, Elena, don’t play that card with me.” Adam set the bottle of water on the nightstand when she didn’t take it. “You asked for it. You begged me for it.”

The pain from the aftermath was not something she enjoyed. The stings were harsh and they were smarting with every move she made. Her muscles ached as well. This wasn’t what she really wanted, yet she could distinctly remember asking for more. A thought slammed into her.

“My hard limits included blood. We talked about that, Adam.” Elena tried to reach for the water with a trembling hand, but the movement of her arm immediately brought back to life the burn of the cuts. “You said you would honor my limits.”

“Hey, you changed them during the scene!”

Elena had gone about learning the lifestyle as she had obtaining her degree—by knowing every term, subject, and anything else in relation to BDSM. She lay there with her head in her arms, wondering where she went wrong. Doms were supposed to take care of their submissives, even if this meant protecting them from themselves during times of passion. Adam should have been aware that she wasn’t in her right mind after entering subspace. She had trusted him. She’d never experienced subspace before and now the dangers of it were making themselves known. She couldn’t trust anyone but herself apparently.

  “I want you to leave.”

  “What? You can’t be serious.”

Elena would not allow him to see her cry. She squeezed her eyes shut, gaining control of her emotions. That was laughable. It seemed as if she were a danger to herself. The one thing she wanted to hand over to a man was control, yet it was the one thing she would never be able to give one hundred percent. She was finally able to lift her head.

“Leave, Adam. I’m not the right sub for you.”

  “Your right wrist, please.”

Grant’s voice snapped her to attention. Elena sucked in a deep breath, willing herself to calm down. She’d already worked out how to stop herself from going too deep, so why was she nervous? Was it seeing the whip? She would just have to control her emotions, because she was going to see this through. Elena held up her wrist.

“Is there anything you want to tell me?” Grant asked softly, low enough that the people surrounding them couldn’t hear.

How mortifying would it be to tell him that when she reached subspace, she lost control of her inhibitions to the point that she would physically harm herself? Who lost control of their mind like that? She’d never heard of other subs losing their mental state. No, she wasn’t going to reveal that dark side of herself to them. She slowly shook her head.

  “Other wrist.”

Once he had her bound to the cross, her wrists and ankles secured, Grant stepped around as promised and took up a position not far from her. Elena could hear Harrison addressing the crowd, but she stayed focused on Grant, knowing he could be her savior. She would look at him when she felt herself slipping, grind her hips into the cross, and prevent herself from falling too far. She could do this.

“Blossom, I trust you to be honest with us,” Harrison whispered in her ear, startling her. She hadn’t realized that he’d stopped speaking and was now directly behind her. “I will start slow, warm your skin with a flogger and then graduate to my whip.”

Elena nodded, although she knew the movement was rather jerky. In a way, she was grateful for the mask. However, she felt only partially hidden. The rest of her was displayed, for all to see, but she concentrated on Grant’s eyes. A little bit of her confidence came back. She could do this.

The crowd hushed, while the music seemed to surround her. Had the lights dimmed further? Elena felt the light stroke of the flogger on her shoulder. She smiled slightly at the gentle lash. Grant responded in kind. She was safe.

  “Very nice, blossom.”

Harrison continued with the light strokes until she felt her skin warming in reaction to the mild swings. The music changed in tempo. He added a bit more power to the next few rounds, until Elena could feel the smattering of the strands start to sting. It felt delicious. She relaxed her muscles, enjoying the sensations. She never stopped looking at Grant.

“You’re turning a beautiful shade of pink. So pretty.”

Time passed. The longer he rained the strands down upon her skin, her thoughts of the whip faded away. She was starting to feel herself slipping and relished the feeling, waiting until the last possible second before she ground her pussy into the padded leather. With the clenching of her buttocks, the shift of her plug brought reality back. She sucked in a breath and emitted a long, drawn-out groan. And there was Grant, still standing where he said he would be.

“That’s right. I want to hear you, blossom.”

Another round of strokes, this time harder and more pleasurable landed on her back. Elena wondered how long they’d been at this, but she really didn’t care. She let her head drop back for a brief moment. This felt like heaven.

  “Mmmmm.”

“I love appreciation, blossom. Especially yours.”

Over and over, harder and harder, he spattered her skin with the flogger. She knew she was supposed to do something, but Elena closed her eyes to savor the magic that was being woven around her. Were her toes still touching the ground?

  Crack!

Elena would have jumped had it not been for her heavy eyelids and the need to just exist. That sound meant something, although she couldn’t remember what. A feeling like someone slapped her upper right buttock spread through her, sending heat out in every direction. It was perfect.

“More.” Elena heard the word, but didn’t know where it came from.

  Crack!

It felt as if someone had scratched her, but as the heat blossomed throughout her thighs and buttocks, Elena didn’t care how it came to be. She only wanted more.

  * * * *

Grant had never been so mesmerized by anything in his entire life. She was beyond magnificent. Her head was thrown back, her luscious pink lips were parted as she chanted for more, and the coloring in her cheeks was glorious.

She hadn’t used her safe word.

Harrison was brilliant, making his whip seem as if it was just one long extension of his arm. It glided through the air as if in slow motion, the sound more for effect than anything. It br
ushed her skin just enough for her to feel the sting of it. Harrison had worked her up higher than he would have a normal sub before switching over to his favorite implement. Grant knew that it had everything to do with whatever fear she wasn’t facing. But she was facing it now.

In fact, Elena was soaring. Although she was begging for more, Grant knew that Harrison was well aware of how much she could withstand. Ever so gradually, Harrison slowed his strikes and started talking softly to her, reassuring her that she had done a wonderful job and how proud they were of her.

Grant waited, knowing that she would steadily return to them. Her face tilted and was now where he could see her eyes. They fluttered. Harrison had delivered his final, lenient stroke of the whip before tossing it over to land on his black bag. Grant allowed Harrison to be the one to reach her first, rubbing his hands up her arms and back down to her wrists. Her eyes sluggishly opened, revealing an unfocused stare.

Harrison was just about to release her wrists when Grant saw the panic hit her. As if she’d been struck, Elena gasped and then started to struggle against her bindings. Her head snapped back, catching Harrison in the nose. The murmur of the crowd grew louder.

“Grab her,” Grant demanded, rushing up to them. He slid his hands up and he quickly released her. “She’s lost control.”

“Get her ankles. I can’t let go,” Harrison said, his voice mixed with pain and apprehension. He wrapped his arms around Elena’s, trying to keep her calm. Grant wasn’t sure what he was saying, but Harrison was whispering reassuring words in her ear.

“The cottage is too far,” Sander said, his voice loud in order for them to hear him over the crowd. “Take the stairs out in the foyer and up to one of the suites.”

The minute Grant had released her ankles, Harrison swung Elena up into his arms, ignoring the fact that he was bleeding from the nose. She was still struggling, with tears rolling down her face. Her cries were like knives stabbing him in the heart. He couldn’t take seeing her in such a panic. He’d seen the triumph on Harrison’s face when he gave Elena what she needed. The scene had played out beautifully and he’d never seen her in such rapture. And now, Grant knew the only thing Harrison was feeling at the moment was guilt. What the hell had gone so wrong?
