A Teaspoon of Mistletoe
Page 10
“So we need a house with a yard for him,” Nick said. “Big enough for a swing set in the future.” He glanced at her.
She was grinning broadly. “I’m all for that!”
“So I thought about going to see my father next week. Would you come with me?”
She nodded.
“I, uh, I wasn’t sure you’d want to get engaged,” he said. “So I don’t have a ring. Shall we go shopping for one as soon as the stores open?”
She nodded, her heart blossoming in happiness. “I love you, Nick.”
“I love you, Annie. And I always will.”
He sealed that promise with a kiss.
