The car door obscured the best part of him—that gorgeous ass—but through the window, she got a lovely eyeful of a broad back filled with swirling ink. The sounds coming from the Jeep now included muffled cursing, and she giggled as she reached for the door handle and pulled it wide.
“Coño.” He erupted from the car, his torso still turned inward, guarding his secrets. “Go away…”
Risa let him look. She wasn’t a woman to hide her assets, and she knew she had them. Not that she flaunted herself, though, she merely stood.
“What are you doing?” he demanded, before going quiet as his gaze dropped.
It was sweet, this moment. Sweet to see this strong, arrogant man fall silent. Sweet to understand she had power in this relationship, where before, she never felt she did. A sexual power that had nothing to do with what had gone on previous to this moment and everything to do with what had bloomed in the last hours as they came closer and closer together.
“Here.” He thrust out a towel.
“I think you should probably use that for yourself.”
His scowl deepened.
“Since you seem to be a bit more uptight about this situation than I am.” Draping her hand on the car door, she gave him another sunny smile.
His focus dropped to her swinging breasts again and he sucked in a deep breath.
“Like what you see?” Maybe she was flaunting, something she’d never cared to do before. Yet, she wanted this man to acknowledge what she did to him. Somewhere between the second he gave her his bed last night and when his shorts fell, revealing his beauty, she’d decided.
She was going to take this man.
Take his body into hers and enjoy every minute.
Confusion crossed his face and then, a look of fierce defiance swept behind. His scowl disappeared to be replaced by a sultry stare. With a twist, he turned, exposing himself, all of him, to her inspection.
Every part of her stilled.
Her body. Her brain.
Her heart.
Because never, not with Spencer or any other man, had she seen such a perfect male. His deltoids and biceps rippled and rolled. The planes of his chest were broad and hard. His waist narrowed into taut hips, his abdomen a line of taut muscles.
Her gaze slid down.
Yes, he was big. And completely erect.
Her body thrummed in female invitation, and her mouth went dry.
“Like what you see?” he countered her.
But unlike him, she didn’t mind being truthful about what she wanted. “Oh, yes. I like everything.”
She gave him a hum of appreciation to make sure he understood she told him the truth.
The towel fell to the sand.
Jiggs woofed.
The soft breeze blew around them, bringing a humid heat to their skin.
Tearing her attention away from his cock, Risa looked into his eyes. The misty blue had cleared into an azure gleam. He wasn’t hiding any longer. Hiding his need or his want. Her heart galloped in her chest with a frenzied happiness. A happy that was more than taking a new guy or having some good sex. This happy was something more she couldn’t quite define.
She wasn’t sure she wanted to.
“Well?” His brows arched. “What’s next?”
She was possibly the prettiest princesa he’d ever encountered.
Not possibly.
She was the prettiest.
Her wet hair clung to her jaw and graceful neck, dripping droplets of sea water down her naked breasts and arms. They dribbled onto her, like tiny beads of glitter. The play of tan and white skin, indicating where she’d worn a bikini, threw a design on her rather like a golden tattoo. He liked how she stood—aware of her appeal and not shying away from his inspection.
She had a right to be proud.
“What would you like to do next?” she purred.
He let his gaze flicker down to her mons and he sucked in a breath.
She was bare down there. It wasn’t as if he hadn’t been with a woman without hair—he’d heard more about Brazilian waxes than he’d ever wanted to. But for some reason, with this woman, the nude skin seemed more provocative, more sensual.
“Jesús,” he croaked.
Her eyes went wide, as though she was surprised at his reaction. “What? You don’t like it?”
“I like everything,” he echoed her.
And he knew. Knew he was going to take what was clearly on offer. His brain tried to yell a warning, except the lust running through his blood was too hot to ignore.
“Come here.” He reached out and pulled her into his embrace.
The feel of her was more than he’d imagined. The smooth silk of her skin brushing against him. Her arms, warm and willing, encircling his neck. She lifted her lips and he dived in again, to this mouth that had become as familiar to him as his own in such a short time. The taste of her—salty and sultry. The wet of her—wild and wicked. The way she accepted his tongue and his need with a sweetness belied by her tart words when he provoked her.
“I want you,” she whispered.
The passion in her voice made his hips bump against hers in an involuntary response.
Her soft laugh gusted across his lips.
And he forgot himself. Forgot his need to prove anything or take the dare. Forgot he wasn’t supposed to like this woman and what she represented. Forgot everything in the face of his desire.
He had to have her now.
With a fluid move, filled with male yearning and desire, he twirled them both until she stood in the circle of the Jeep’s door and his body. “Lay down.”
She glanced over her shoulder at the seat and then, back at him. For a moment, he thought the princesa might appear and demand something more comfortable than the backseat of a car.
But she surprised him.
Again.
With a jaunty grin, she scrambled into the Jeep and stretched her luscious body out, a long, uncoiling slink of woman.
“Come here,” she husked.
His mind blanked into a white void, filled only with the static of heated, hot male urgency.
He ducked and landed on her. Being a big guy, he’d gotten used to easing onto a woman with care. Many times, he found it easier to slide them on top, so he didn’t have to worry about his heft hurting them.
For a second, his brain twitched to life, apprehension circling at its base. “Princes—”
“No.” Her Marine-blue gaze went dark, turning into a wash of cerulean determination. Her legs came around him, locking him into place. “My name’s Risa.”
Apparently, she wasn’t worried about his weight. But he still was. “I’m heavy.”
Her brows rose and surprise flickered across her face. “You feel great. Don’t worry about that.”
Grunting with relief, he settled onto her and dipped his head for another of her kisses. Her kisses were addictive. More addictive than any other woman’s.
In the back of his befuddled brain, a call of caution echoed.
Cuidado, it said. Cuidado.
Yet, he was far beyond heeding any words of wisdom about watching out or paying attention. Too far into this woman and this moment to care about what would happen next.
To his shock, she drew back, a clear rejection of what he wanted.
A kiss.
Her kiss.
“What?” he gasped, trying to keep from humping into her like a teenager.
“My name.”
Riq stared at her mouth, watching those pink, pretty lips move. His imagination flashed with the vision of those lips around him—just as he’d dreamed in the shower so many days ago. His hips arched into her, a male plea. The movement caused his aching cock to slide across her bareness and into the slick channel waiting for him.
His groan filled the Jeep. “I need you.”
“Say my name, then.” She brushed her hand across his unshaven cheek, and her expression turned from a sharp intensity to a wistful look that tugged at something in the cente
r of his soul. “That’s all I want.”
“All?” He sucked in a deep breath of humid heat and sexual scents, trying to focus. “I don’t think so.”
She laughed, a soft choke of sound. “Well, maybe not all.”
His hands slid under her, rushing over her lower back and stopping at her tight, taut ass. An ass he also remembered with vivid detail. But now, instead of watching it walk away from him and being reminded it wasn’t for him, he had it, and her, in his grasp.
He positioned himself.
“My name.” The blue of her eyes drew him in as much as the slick welcome of her body.
“Risa,” he murmured.
At the same time, he eased himself into her, relishing the feel of the womanly flesh taking his hard maleness in.
“Yes,” she hissed as she arched into the taking.
After surviving his teenage failures with girls, Riq had savored every sexual encounter he got. He’d gone from an eager student to a happy winner to a choosy connoisseur. But nothing he’d experienced prepared him for this sex.
This mating.
His body took over, as it had never taken over before. He felt a frantic frenzy growing inside, as if he’d jumped off an airplane without a parachute. A wash of sweat, not caused by the heat of the sun, coated his skin and the flame of lust burned straight through to his core.
He pumped. Pumped again.
The frenzy broke for a moment when she moaned beneath him and then, he dropped back into the ocean of desire so intense he couldn’t catch his breath.
“Kiss me.”
Another female demand from her. This woman who’d changed from a poisonous princesa into this alluring creature who captured him with her long legs and winsome gaze.
Leaning in, he capitulated.
To her demand.
To her.
“Mmm.” Her lips encircled his tongue and sucked.
Just like that, with no finesse or technique, he came. A harsh sound of agonized joy rushed from him. His conscience blurred into a haze of pleasure and almost painful bliss. His muscles jerked and shuddered, until he finally sighed out the last of his orgasm. His body sagged on her, replete, dazed with overwhelmed satisfaction.
A quiet hush filled the Jeep, barely penetrating Riq’s foggy brain. He closed his eyes to the weave of the backseat’s cloth. Closed his eyes to reality and let himself just be. Not since he’d been a boy had he allowed himself this simple succor. The realization fluttered in the deep recesses of his mind and he didn’t question it.
He let it settle inside.
Chapter 21
Risa had experienced her fair share of sex. Before Spencer, there’d been her high school boyfriend. She’d also had a one-night stand right before her freshman year in college which she hadn’t enjoyed, but it counted as experience. For the last four years, the love of her life had been the lover in her bedroom. He’d been everything she wanted and desired. He’d made her happy and excited, and she’d loved his body.
Spencer couldn’t even claim a silver medal compared to the man sprawled on top of her.
To her astonishment, the pleasure she felt had nothing to do with orgasms. She hadn’t experienced one and didn’t care. Because what she’d received in these last few moments was something far more precious. She’d found something she never dreamed of wanting or needing.
She’d given. Completely and utterly, without thought for her own satisfaction.
And with it, she’d discovered how wonderful it was to give another human being complete pleasure and expect nothing in return. Yes, she’d demanded at first—that he say her name and kiss her. But somewhere after that, she’d lost her desire to be the center of his attention and instead, wanted only to satisfy him fully.
He huffed, a quiet, contented sound that radiated a light inside her. The light spread slowly through her body and her brain, like a soft seep of elated ecstasy. She’d done this, brought this man…
Not to heel.
Not to his knees.
She realized she might have had that motivation before the sex. But now, after the way he’d made her feel moments ago, she didn’t want to fight with him, or conquer. She wanted to snuggle into his arms and talk or laugh. After awhile, she wanted to take him into her body again, with a profound joy she’d never experienced. More than anything, she wanted to bring him pleasure and peace.
Even though she hadn’t orgasmed. Even though the sex had been more about him than her.
She still felt the joy running through her veins, sweeping away any disquiet.
He huffed once more.
His body slumped on her, letting the last of his weight slide onto her.
“Hey, big boy.” Snuffling into the crease of his neck, she let his scent permeate her own skin. The spicy smell mixed with the incense of their sexual joining, making it the sexiest perfume she’d ever taken into her nose. Better than any of her family’s perfumes. Better than all of them put together. She wondered if perhaps this should be the Migneault Perfumery’s new offering.
The thought blazed through her, bringing an adrenaline rush of excitement.
During the last day, she’d lost the thread of why she was here. She’d gotten distracted by this man’s fine ass and beautiful body, by the hurricane and survival. Yet, she still believed in her dreams and plans. She still believed in herself.
“What, sunshine?” His rumble of a voice rolled through his torso, stroking her with his sound.
Her nose brushed his skin, trying to cement the smell into her memory. His weight, though, was starting to get to be too much. “You’re heavy.”
Grunting, he placed an elbow near her shoulder and pulled himself up to stare down at her. “Better?”
“Yes, better.” She took a moment to take him in.
The light splattered golden streaks of gloss on his olive skin. The tattoos spread over his shoulders and down his upper arms, the points of the swords ending right before his elbow. His nipples were brown, tight discs on his broad pecs, and a trace of hair encircled them before running together in the middle of his chest. The trail of hair disappeared between their bodies and Risa wanted to keep following that trail.
First things first, however.
She stroked her hands down his sweaty sides and smiled. “I have an idea.”
“Do you?” His thick brows rose and a glitter of excitement filled the blue of his gaze. “What is it?”
By the look in his eyes, Risa knew he was thinking about sex, and while she had no trouble going along with him for another pleasurable session, she was too excited about her idea not to share it right now.
“We can make something amazing using us.”
His brows shifted into a frown. “What are you talking about? Making something?”
She opened her mouth, filled with an energy to make something happen that she’d never felt before.
Before she could explain, his olive skin whitened, and a look of horror slid across his face. “No birth control.”
“Shit.” She grimaced. Since she and Spencer were active until the day he split with her, she’d been careful to demand condoms and visit her doctor quarterly for her birth control shot. Even after the breakup, she’d gone to her appointment last month, hoping the inevitable reunion would happen at any moment.
The reunion she no longer wanted.
Shock ripped through her, making every muscle in her body tense.
The man above her went taut.
“Coño,” he muttered, “don’t tell me we have an issue.”
“We have an issue.” Her eyes narrowed at this man who’d effectively destroyed her wish to get back with Spencer. The realization frightened her into irritation. “You didn’t wear a condom.”
“And you’re thinking of making babies.” He growled the accusation.
“What?” Another shock raced through her, followed by amusement. “No, caveman. I wasn’t talking about that.”
“No? Then what were you talking about?”
Risa met his cynical gaze with a stout, determined one of her own. “Our scent.”
“Huh?”
“Us.” She shifted her hips and glided her hands across his fine ass.
The two simple movements got an immediate reaction from him. His cock hardened inside her, and the mist blew across the blue, making his gaze grow hazy and hot. He sifted his fingers through her hair and his rose lips softened. “I like us.”
“Yes, I do, too. And that’s why my idea is so great.”
“Idea?” The mist dissipated and the frown returned. “I’m not a big fan of your ideas, Princesa.”
“No.” Her breath caught in her throat at the thread of threat in his voice, and the return of the nickname. “Don’t call me that. It’s Risa.”
His cock still lay hard inside her, but his mouth turned tight. “I’m beginning to regret this.”
Before she could object, he jerked himself out of her welcoming body. She gasped at the feel of him leaving her. At the same time, he gasped when he balanced on the seat with his bad knee. “Jesús.”
The world raced back into her conscience. The humid air in the Jeep, suffused with the smell of sex. The hot sun shining down on the car. The salt in her hair and on her skin itched, and she suddenly felt extremely naked.
Standing, he placed his hands on his hips and scowled down at her. “Tell me you’re on birth control.”
Risa grabbed the edge of the seat and pulled herself up. “I am.”
“Gracias a Dios.” He huffed a deep sigh of relief.
“But there’s disease to talk about, isn’t there?” Irritation welled again. Why did he expect her to take care of this and when she did, he walked off scot free?
“STDs.” He smirked. “You should know all about that.”
Irritation turned to exasperated fury. “I’m clean.”
“Are you sure?” He eased his weight onto his good leg and compassion threatened to derail her anger. Then, he insured it didn’t. “After all, I’m not the one dating an actual STD.”
“I’m not dating Spencer any longer.” She folded her arms around her, covering her naked breasts. How had this wonderful, amazing moment in her life turned into an ugly argument? “Answer the question.”
