I kneel down to the stone.
“Thank you for my daughter. Thank you for the good years. Thank you for being my wife. Thank you for making me stronger today than I ever thought I could be.”
I stand up and turn on my heels, walking back to my car. Sharon had been a great wife and friend in the beginning and something did go wrong. Although, I’ll never know what happened, I know I can’t dwell on it.
My future is ahead of me and there will be no more secrets of my past because I don’t live there anymore.
