I cast a sideward glance at Lillian. She was wide awake and had her focus on the sides of the road. It seemed like everything was going pretty good until I start to hear a light sound coming from the engine of the truck. I ignored it at first, but then the van began to push forward and I was forced to find a good place to park and step out to go see what the problem was. I could feel the eyes of my daughter following my every step. She probably was thinking “Here we go”

I took up the hood of the van and immediately jumped back as thick steam filled everywhere, almost like smoke. I walk to the side of the vehicle and took a look at Lillian. She had a slight smirk on her face. Snowflake stuck his head out and tried to come out of the van. I helped him with the door and he jumped out. I knew that he could control himself. He was a good dog and wouldn’t cause any troubles on the road.

Once things had cooled down, I walked to the front of the car and poured some water into the water compartment and topped some other lubricating fluids. The van roared back to life when I stepped back in and we commenced our journey once more. It drove some more problems along the way, but I was able to handle most of it. Finally, we drive into Denver and I realized that in just about two hours, we would arrive at our destination. I stopped at a small pastry shop to get some hot doughnuts for us. I turned off the ignition and took slow and calculated strides into the shop and made my order. As I was about to step back out, I noticed another young beautiful woman walking into the shop.

I took a quick look at her and I could sense that something was wrong. However, since I didn’t know her, and I couldn’t wait to get home, I took my concentration back to where my truck was parked with my daughter and dog inside. But something was wrong. Lillian was standing outside the truck with Snowflake sitting near her legs. She seemed to have her gaze transfixed on me. I stopped and look at her before I noticed that she wasn’t really looking at me. She was looking at the closed door of the pastries shop.

“Are you okay?” I asked immediately I reached where she was.

“That was NatashaHarwood… NatashaHarwood” she said in an excited voice.

  “Who?” I asked, looking back.

“She is NatashaHarwood” she said again.

“Who are you talking about, hone?” I asked my little daughter.

“That woman that just passed you… I recognize her from my fashion magazines. She is NatashaHarwood, a fashion photographer.” She said, sounding quite certain.

  “Are you sure”

“Of course, dad” She said, still looking in the direction of the door. And just then, the woman stepped out again, carrying a small bag of doughnuts like the one I was holding.

“Oh my God, she really is NatashaHarwood” Lillian’s voice rang through the air.

I couldn’t stand it anymore and I knew that I just had to go talk to this woman that my daughter seemed to be so fascinated about. Maybe Lillian would be glad that we decided to take the back roads after all because she got a chanc3 to meet someone that she liked. I noticed that she was standing with her phone on her ear, making a phone call. She seemed upset about something. I still walked up to her anyway.

Getting nearer, I realized how truly beautiful she was. I had not looked at any other woman in this way since Stacy died. I noticed her pure and natural features. Her hair was dark and straight with a bit of curl in between. Her asymmetric face with all the right curves around the edges perfectly accentuated by her trim lips and pointed nose, made her look Brazilian but I could tell that she was not.

She finally dropped her call and turned to look at me. She forced a smile as her eyes met mine. I could easily tell that it was a fake one.

“NatashaHarwood?” I said immediately to prevent the awkwardness that threatened to ruin the moment.

“Yes, I’m sorry, do I know you?” She asked, still with that smile on her face. Even if it was forced, it was still very much beautiful. She sounded polite, yet rudely sophisticated and professional.

“No, actually, my daughter is the one who recognized you. She is fascinated with fashion and everything that has to do with it. She totally adores you and the moment she saw you, she was star struck.” I said and looked away but when I looked back at her, I discovered that she was already waving at Lillian who was also already waving back with a wide grin. And then she began to run towards us and Snowflake followed her. I noticed that NatashaHarwood stepped back a bit. She probably was scared of dogs.

“Oh don’t worry, he’s a good boy” I said immediately to calm her down.

“Hi little girl, what’s your name?” Natasha’s voice sounded absolutely angelic and her smile looked quite genuine now. She hardly had any wrinkles on her face or any sign of blemish. She is a perfect description of what an over pampered city girl is supposed to look like.

“Lillian… Star Riley” my daughter said with a wide grin on her face. I was definitely drawn to this pretty lady now. I could not believe how happy she made my little girl. They looked like they had absolutely known each other since Lillian was a little girl. If I didn’t know better, I would say Natasha was Lillian’s favorite aunt that she hadn’t seen in a while.

I continued to watch as the ladies talked and Natasha ended up signing an autograph for Lillian. Although I knew that Natasha wasn’t that much of a celebrity yet, my daughter saw her as someone she looked up to and that was enough for me. I hold Lillian’s hand as we walked back to the truck with Snowflake leading the way.

As I got into the driver’s side and turn on the ignition, I noticed that Natasha was still on the phone and that look of gloom and frustration had returned to her pretty face. I could sense that there was something wrong and so after I reversed the truck and turned toward the road, I turned off the engine once more and walked up to NatashaHarwood. This time, she caught my frame in her sight before I got to her.

“Do you need a lift or something?” I asked.

“Yes, I definitely do right now. But that depends on where you are going” she says. I can see the look of anticipation in her eyes; almost like she is silently prying that the next words that would escape my lips would definitely be the direction she is going.

“Colorado… we are going to Breckinridge” I announced.

“Oh my God, that’s so great” she almost screams. “I am going to Aspen. I took a flight to Aspen but the weather forced a diversion to Denver and now I am stuck with no means of transport to get to Aspen on time” she ended with a wide smile.

“That’s so sad… but maybe it isn’t such a bad thing. Pardon me for being selfish, but seeing you here today has made my daughter very happy. It would be my pleasure to take you as close as we can to Aspen” I let out a chortle.

“I guess so… That would be wonderful. Thank you so much” she says as I lead her to the truck where she makes herself comfortable in the back seat.

Lillian was unapologetically crazed about the fact that she is travelling with NatashaHarwood. She talked so much more than I had seen her talk in a while. I couldn’t seem to take my eyes off her while I drove. My eyes continually latched at the mirror above my head just to catch her smile.

Things soon settled as Lillian became so tired of talking and all the happiness that she started to fall asleep again. I continued to cast intermittent glances at the woman seated at the back. Whenever she caught my eyes, I was quick to take them off and I started to feel like a High school student all over again. I couldn’t explain what was going on with me. It was unclear if I was fascinated by this woman because of her amazing looks or because she made my daughter so happy. But then, maybe it was because she reminded me so much of my wife. Those sapphire blue eyes that turned brighter when she smiled and her beautiful dimples that properly accentuated her face and gave her the look of a South American beauty queen.

I looked sideways at Lillian and caught her eyes on me. She probably had been watching me steal glances at NatashaHarwood. I couldn’t begin to understand what was going on in her mind

br />   After I dropped NatashaHarwood off, Lillian waved goodbye as we turned to go our way. Natasha was all smiles as she waved back.

“She’s pretty” Lilliansaid when Natasha’s image escaped from sight.

“What?” I asked, casting a sideward glance to look at my little ten-year-old.

“She’s pretty” She said again apathetically.

“Oh, yes, she is. Well, she is supposed to be… in her line of work” I remarked.

“Do you stare at all models like that?” She asked without looking at me. I turned to look at her abruptly.

“What?” I asked like I did not hear what she had said.

“You said she is supposed to be pretty because of her work. And you spent the whole time staring at her more than you looked at the road. Do you look at every model like that?” She said, still not looking at me.

“Do I look at every model like how?” I almost choked from my own chuckle.

Lillian made a face that seemed like she was looking into nothingness… that face that says that you adore whatever it is you are staring at, at that point. And then she opened her mouth in a mockery of a gawk.

“I did not do that, Lillian” I chortled as I watched my little daughter tease me.

“You were looking at her like this” She demonstrated another much weirder face with her mouth still wide open. And just then, Snowflake barked, almost as if he is in agreement with her.

“I can’t believe you two are ganging up on me right now” I laughed while I drove, making sure that I didn’t keep my face off the road for too long. It was not that much of a long drive from where we dropped Natasha to our home and I can already see home from afar.

“Look… we are here already” I said, pointing at the windscreen at the large expanse of land that led to the house that once belonged to my father before he died… the house I grew up in.

“Grand ma is standing there… look” Lillian pointed at the figure of a woman whom I immediately recognized as my mother.

  **

Lillian was having much more of a splendid time in Colorado than she had expected too have. Her grandmother had made sure of that. But she still wanted to go to see a dog race. I agreed to take her and my mother along. As the race progressed and came to a close, the women and Snowflake went out of sight to make Lillian’s hair. Surprisingly, I turned back and found none other than NatashaHarwood behind me. She had also come to see the race and we had met out of pure coincidence.

She was very happy to see me, but I was sure that I was the happier one. After she had said that she did not have enough time or the opportunity to say thank you to me the last time, she asked what she could do to make it up.

[How about you come over to visit Lillian and me for lunch? I am sure she would very much like that] I said. She nodded and said that it was a deal. Imagine my joy.

Immediately after Natasha left, I heard a bark behind me and I immediately recognized it to be Snowflake’s. I turned back and find Lillian and the dog walking up to me.

“Did you have a good time? Where’s grandma?” I asked, looking around for my mother. At her age, she still loved all the fun in the world, especially when it involves her granddaughter. They are almost inseparable when they are together. Although Lillian hated coming to Colorado to spend her holidays, she always felt better when she finally saw her grandmother. She spoils her too much.

“She’s talking with a friend… old people talk” Lillian said. She was standing right in front of me now and I took her hood down to look at her face very well. She was so beautiful; just like her mother. She had very striking resemblance.

“Are you too cold?” I asked.

“No, I’m good. Was that Natasha?” She asked, pointing in the direction that NatashaHarwood had walked towards.

“Uh, yes honey that was Natasha” was all I could say as I saw the look in my daughter’s eyes. I could not read it. And then she smiled.

“She’s pretty” She said before turning the opposite direction and gesturing for Snowflake to follow her.

Christ, my little daughter had grown so much. Or was I the one who is making my fascination with NatashaHarwood too obvious? “Come here, Lillian. What did I tell you about walking about on your own? You are not home you know?” I said, walking briskly to meet up with her. I am very protective when it comes to my little girl. She is my world right now and I cannot allow anything happen to her.

As I walked along the light inches of snow on the ground, I rubbed my gloves together and thoughts of tomorrow fill my head. I could see something in Natasha’s eyes. That same thing was there in Stacy’s eyes when I had the feeling that she was into me. I guess I now had a chance to test things with Natasha.

  Chapter 4

Lunch with NatashaHarwood was awesome. Lillian was glad to have her over and talked like she would never see Natasha again so she needed to ask all her questions right there. But I knew better. I checked my watch, waiting for when my mother would arrive. We had started lunch without her. I wondered what was keeping her.

After lunch, I took the dishes to the kitchen. Natasha helped while I asked Lillian for some reason went into her room. I think she was trying to give me some space to talk with Natasha. That child was no longer a child after all. We spoke about many things and I told her about my family background. I told her about my father and my mother. I told her about how I did not really have much extended family, especially on my mother’s side. Mother had told us about her sister and they never really got along. It was so bad that I did not even know where her sister was, what of family she had, her husband or kids. Surely she would have adult kids right now. Natasha seemed to have that in common with me and it made us connect better. I only wished mother could be here to see her.

When I asked Natasha to take that special place in my heart, she kissed me without even saying any words. That was even better than the reply I had hoped for and the beginning of a new world of happiness for me.

Things continued to move incredibly between Natasha and me. I think even Lillian knew this. We went hiking together and even went to see a movie with Lillian. I wanted to take things to the next stage with her so I invited her over.

In no time, Natasha was at the house and she was dressed in very thick clothing because of the cold. She took part of it off as she entered the warmth of the house. After we talked for a long time she asked for some wine. She had a freaky look in her eyes so I didn’t ask any questions… I just poured her some wine and she drank it all in one gulp. She said she did not want any second thoughts while she did what she had planned for me. I prayed in my mind that it was all what I wanted; and it seemed like my prayers were swiftly answered when she quickly leaned closer to me and planted a kiss on my lips. I needed no further invitation so I returned the kiss and we indulged in a round of passionate kissing while my hands found their way to the hem of her shirt. I lift it up while I explored her mouth with mine. She helped me ease it out of her by lifting her hands. I gladly let my hands work on her soft feminine endowments while soft moans escaped her lips. She was very excited and every delicate part of her body was all too proud to show this fact. I got undressed in record time and before you could say Philip, I was already on my favorite position on top the woman I now loved with all of my heart.

I kissed her lips, and traced it down her neck and rest on her chest. When I looked up at her, her eyes were closed. She was somewhere in a world of her own… a world of pleasure. My tongue found the amazing taste of her succulent mounds, and I sucked, interchanging, and using my free hand to squeeze the softest flesh I had held.

The other of my hand went down her belly…slowly and deeper down, under the elastic bands of her underwear. She moaned. Oh my, she was soaking my fingers with her nectar. I kissed her lips again, shutting her up as I positioned myself to thrust into her. She moaned loudly inside my mouth as she felt the strength of each thrust. She is amazing and sweet. Our bodies glued together like they were a perfect pair made from the same pod
. And then we climaxed together. I stiffened as she convulsed her fluids in the passion of love.

After we were done, I prepared a light meal for the both of us. I knew that mother and Star were not coming back any time soon. We finished eating and she went into the kitchen to drop the plates. I was already dressed in jeans and a shirt while she just had a robe on… one of my mother’s. I silently want toward the kitchen and she turned back to find me smiling at her. Her robe was quite loose and I had been hard since we were eating.

I walked to her and ran my hands over her beautiful body… kissing her and watching her lift her head to the ceiling. She was a true woman and I wondered how such a woman was still single. My manhood was pushing hard at my jeans, fighting to get out. She returned my kiss as our lips met; holding me tightly like I would somehow disappear if she let me go for even a second. I let my hands go around her, and descend down to cup her soft bum that jiggle in my palms. Oh, the squeeze felt orgasmic.

I feel her hands on my jeans as she unbuckled the only button and let the pants fall to the floor. She smiled as she saw how much I was ready for her. Still standing, she ran her hands on my back as I tried to guide my raging tool into her. And she was eager and receptive as I slid delicately into her, forming a rhythm and listening to her soft moans in my ears. I heard her call my name in the softest tone I had heard her speak. She held me for support, and I held the kitchen sink to keep balance. We made love right there in the kitchen
