Love Me (Trust Series #2)

I make it through the rest of the ordeal, unscathed.

I mean, really, how could it be any worse than what I just did?

Finally making it back to the skybox, we receive cheers as we walk in. The humiliation is never-ending as I smile, praying this moment ends quickly.

The game has just kicked off when Sam comes up and gives me a little push with her hips. “Damn, that was hot.”

I roll my eyes. “Sam, it was just a kiss.”

“Girl, if that was just a kiss to you, then the real thing must be off the charts.” She’s fanning herself as she pretends to have a mental image.

I try to imitate how her mother scolds her. “Sam.”

“What? Hey, you’re the one with the panty-dropping chemistry.” She picks her black hair off the back of her neck, pretending she’s having a heatstroke.

Geez, I need some self-control around my sexy-as-sin husband.

Needing a subject change, I decide it’s time for payback as I sweetly smile at her. She’s about to lose her bet to Damien, and after the harassment she just laid out, I can’t wait to rub it in. Time to demonstrate my newfound sports knowledge.

Looking out the glass window, I say, “We should take our seats. The game began.”

Sam, Damien, and I all make our way over to the seats in front of the windows and sit down. Sam starts chatting up the person sitting next to her.

I give her a little nudge. “Sam, I suggest you pay attention. We just got a third down, which means your kicker might have to make a sixty-yard field goal. He’s good but not that good.”

Sam’s mouth falls to the floor.

I give her a pat on the shoulder. “I’m going to get a drink. You need anything?”

Damien chuckles beside me as Sam is still gathering herself.

Upon my return, I think she’s still in shock from my earlier comment. I continue to watch and follow the game.

When a play ends, I voice my thoughts, “Wow, I can’t believe they didn’t get number twenty-two for clipping.”

From the corner of my eye, I see Sam looking at me like I’ve grown two heads. Our team has just gotten a touchdown, and cheers erupt.

As the kicking team comes out, I continue to throw fuel onto the fire. “I wonder if they will go for the two-point conversion.”

She slaps the arm of the chair. She’s obviously completely off-kilter at my new ability to talk sports lingo with the best of them.

What did she think would happen from being married to Mr. Sports Mogul himself? Of course, my education was stellar.

“Allison, what the hell? Has someone swapped out your brain? Who are you?”

I can tell from how she’s watching me that she’s all kinds of confused. I bite down on my lip to keep from laughing hysterically.

At this time, Damien leans over to goad her. “I believe I just won our little bet, sis.”

  I do laugh this time.

  Sam sputters, “But…I mean…when…what…shit.”

This is Damien’s moment to shine. “Sam, one thing you’ll learn about your brother-in-law is that he rarely loses a challenge. Maybe your fee for the kicker should be a freebie.”

“How the hell did you do it?” She’s so dumbfounded, just sitting there.

I bring my water glass up to my mouth to hide my laughter. There’s no reason to blatantly rub Damien’s win in her face.

Damien responds, “It just took the right inspiration.”

I choke on my water as I think about what went behind those inspirations.

She’s staring at us, not moving. “Damn, after that kiss down there, I knew you guys had to be off-the-charts hot behind closed doors. If the sports thing doesn’t work for you, porn films are always an option.”

Damien gives me a wink as I blush ten shades of red.

“Shit, I’m irritated with you, Wales. I thought I had this bet in the bag.” Sam leans over and gives him a high five. “Well deserved, brother, well deserved.”

Damien says nothing, but his triumphant smile says it all.

The halftime show is about to start when Damien says to me, “I’d like to show you something. Come with me for a few minutes?”

  I respond. “Sure.”

Sam gives me a smirk and a wink as we head on our way.

Damien grabs my hand, and I follow. He leads us out of the skybox room.

“Where are we going?” I ask.

  “You’ll see.”

We go down the hallway and enter a private elevator. We go up one floor, and with a ping, the doors open into a little slate-colored foyer area with a wooden door, just like the one to the skybox.

All of a sudden, Bane comes out of the room and gives Damien a nod. I am whisked through the door, and then I hear the lock click into place. The room is a more exclusive skybox than the one we were just in.

  Swanky.

“What’s this one used for?” I take in my surroundings, and it’s a posh living room setup all done in the team colors of blue and black.

“Celebrities and people who want to keep a low profile during the games use it. I kept it from being used this weekend,” Damien says.

  Oh…

My sex instantly becomes wet because I know what’s coming next. I push my thighs together to keep the throbbing at bay as I lick my lips. Damien is on me in a second. Since we’ve returned to the real world from our honeymoon, it’s been hard not having each other all the time on a whim. His hand goes to my waist as he hauls me to him. I’m pushed so hard against his body that I can feel his length pressing against me, which only heightens my need for him to an inferno. His tongue, strong and commanding, completely engulfs me.

I try to go for the buttons on his shirt, but I am spun around, and my dress is untied at the waist in one fluid motion, exposing me. My hands go up to the reflective glass of the skybox as I look out onto the field in the midst of the halftime show.

Damien is behind me as he whispers in my ear, “No one can see us. It’s a one-way glass.”

His hand moves up to my breasts, and he unsnaps my bra. My breasts fall free and are yearning to be touched. His hand moves to my lower abdomen, and he finds that I’m bare down there.

  “Fuck.”

His finger grazes across my skin over my stomach, causing a muscle down low to move. A craving spirals through my body. He nuzzles my neck as his index finger finds my clit. A deep, hard rub has me whimpering. Inch by inch, he starts moving his hands up. I don’t know if I want him to stay where he was or keep going to a new destination. Pushing off the glass, I arch my chest out, caught up in the sensuality. His fingertips finally make it up to my nipples. He traces around a nipple, causing it to further rise. I need him to squeeze them harder.

  “Damien, please…”

  “Shh…”

He pinches my nipples, and flutters of tingly pleasure go through my body.

“Alli, I have been hard for you ever since the kiss on the field. I’m about to fuck you hard.”

  “Please…now.”

He steps back from me, and I am about to protest when he pulls the dress and bra from my body before throwing them onto a nearby chair.

“Stay facing forward, baby. Lean your hands on the glass.”

My hands go up to the glass. I can see the crowd cheering as the band and cheerleaders perform below for the halftime show. His zipper sounds behind me as it comes down. Then, the tip of his member teases the crack of my ass. Instinctively, I tense.

“Don’t worry. We won’t do that until you’re ready,” he says.

That sounds exotic, and I want to try it someday. Putting more pressure on my hands, I tilt forward, exposing my sex to him. As he grabs my hips, he lines the top of his dick at my entrance before he plunges in, fast and hard. It’s so deep this way. A direct hit with that spot has me crazy, causing me to push back from the glass as he slides into me.

  Yes, oh, yes!

The way he stretches me, causing that pleasurable friction, is incredible. He complete
s me in a way I never knew. While looking at the crowd, I hiss out in pleasure as he continues to hit that inner part of me.

Damien strokes my clit with one hand and squeezes my nipple with the other. He’s pounding relentlessly into me. We both detonate in ecstasy at the same time as he exhausts every ounce of bliss out of us.

Both being thoroughly spent, he spins me around and pushes my back against the glass. He captures my mouth in another kiss.

I nip him and then breathlessly say, “I cannot wait until Texas.”

  “Me, too, baby. Me, too.”

We’re lying in bed, entwined and sweaty from our marathon of lovemaking in our bedroom. There’s something about our place in Texas. Damien inherited the ranch from his grandparents when they died. The moment we walked through the doors, the world slipped away, and we entered our bubble. We needed this time away from reality.

Sam is the only one who knows where we are currently. I told her yesterday that I was going to turn off my phone while we were out of town in order to ensure the outside world stayed at bay. Damien doesn’t have that luxury, but he’s barely spared his phone a glance since we arrived.

My head is on his chest as I trace the outline of his tattoo basking in the bliss of our love. One of his arms is wrapped around my waist, and he is drawing those soothing circles on my hips.

Damien kisses the top of my head. “Penny for your thoughts.”

I give an innocent small smile. “I was just wondering if it would always be this way between us when we make love. It’s like I lose touch with reality, and you’re all I can focus on.”

“I don’t think it will change for us. Our need for each other only seems to be growing.”

I giggle as I receive a swat on the ass.

I continue tracing his black tattoo on his chest. “You were pretty insatiable last night. I liked it.”

He raises a brow. “Baby, you drive me to the edge with desire and need every day.”

  “Me, too.”

Nuzzling deeper into him, I take in our scent and memorize this moment. I love the after-sex smell our bodies generate. This is what we always have to hold on to when times get tough. Coming here this weekend was a perfect idea. The stress can be tiring, and I never want to lose sight of what’s most important.

“Can I ask you a question, Damien?”

“Of course. Anything.” He puts his finger underneath my chin, so I can meet his serious gaze.

I know I might break this tender moment in time, but I have to get it out there, so we can talk when we aren’t in the middle of a stressful situation.

“Are you upset that I’m not ready to have kids yet? You know that I want to eventually, right? Our whole relationship has happened so fast, which I don’t regret at all. I just want to take a breath before this next step.”

His deep blue eyes search mine for a minute while his hand combs through his black messy hair.

“No, I’m not upset. I would never be upset about something like that. We both need to want kids before we start trying. I’m just as surprised as you are that I want them so quickly. When I read the first article that assumed you were pregnant, it awoke something within me. You carrying my child will be the most cherished gift you could ever give me.”

His hand moves to my stomach as he begins stroking it. Damien’s words and his touch melt my heart. Part of me wants to say yes right now. I want to agree to start trying, but with everything that’s going on, I know I’m not ready. Just like when we were dating, I can’t lose my voice with how I feel. The way he caresses the place where his child would be makes me smile.

Maybe someday in the not so distant future.

After clearing my throat, I ask, “What if we plan on me going off the pill next May? By then, we’ll be married for eight or nine months, which means it’d probably be closer to our year anniversary before I get pregnant. That way—”

He immediately sits up and pulls me underneath him. He positions himself to where he is straddled over my hips. The movement is so fast that he takes me by surprise.

He grabs my face tenderly with both hands. “Alli, are you absolutely sure about this? I’ll wait forever, baby. I don’t want to pressure you.”

The joy that passes through him is mindboggling. I lie there, just staring at his formed body and strong jaw, and I am still surprised that this man is actually mine.

“Yes, I’m sure. I want this, too, Damien. I just want to take it at a pace that allows us both to catch our breaths. I want to have your baby. I want to be a mother.”

With that, his lips collide with mine kissing me as he rolls himself underneath me, allowing me to be on top. My legs automatically go to his sides, and I can feel his erection hardening beneath me. I position myself and slide down on him.

“I take it you’re in agreement,” I say.

“Yes, you have no idea, baby.”

I love how we are barely able to get our sentences out in between kisses. I clench down on him, and he groans into my mouth.

  “Fuck, Alli.”

I slide up and down, and I continue to squeeze his length, using the muscles of my sex to massage him to an even harder state.

A little tip from that book Sam got me.

“Where the hell did you learn to do that?” he asks.

The pleasure on his face spurs me to keep the assault going as he grabs my hips and thrusts up, reaching that delicious spot that causes euphoria within me each and every time. My hands are resting on his chest. We both have a light sheen on our bodies. My sex continues to pulse around him.

He grits his teeth as he spits out, “Come, Alli, please…I can’t take much more of this.”

And just like that, I fall off the cliff, screaming his name in a euphoric ecstasy. A warm wave of contentment engulfs me, causing me to collapse onto his chest. His hands come around me like a vise as he holds me to him while both of us try to slow our breathing. His dick is still inside me, twitching and spilling into me.

  “Baby, that was incredible.”

I breathlessly giggle. “Good. Thought I’d try something new.”

“Where the hell did you learn that?” His tone is possessive.

“Let’s just say girl time with Sam can benefit you also.”

“Geez, I’m never letting you go out with her to a club without me there.”

I give him a weak mock slap on the shoulder. It’s about all of the energy I can muster at this point.

“I hate that we have to go home tomorrow. I love our bubble,” I say.

His hand starts caressing my back, leaving a trail of tingles.

“Me, too. We’ll come back as often as we need to.”

  “I’d like that.”

I’m already starting to feel re-energized and vitalized from our time here. I had no idea the extent of how draining our situation with the killer had become on us.

It’s later on in the morning, and I’m in the closet, getting some clothes. I begrudgingly agreed to get out of bed, so Damien could take me somewhere. He’s keeping his plans a surprise.

I hope it involves a horseback ride.

Pulling open my T-shirt drawer, I spot a black shirt that went missing a few months ago.

“Aha! I’m not nuts after all.”

I’m talking to myself, but it makes me feel good that I have finally found something versus losing yet another article of clothing. While I was in limbo between my place and Damien’s, plus all the traveling we did, I lost several pieces of clothing. This spurs my quest to start rummaging through the closet to see if any of my other missing items were left here last time.

  “Did you say something, Alli?”

Damien’s at the door, dressed in a T-shirt and jeans, with his messed-up hair. He seems amused as he’s looking at me.

“No, I was just talking to myself. I was excited that I’m not crazy. From living in two places and traveling, I’ve had so many things go missing over the last few months. Finally, I found a shirt I had been looking for. Just
felt like a small victory.” I give a shrug and keep rummaging.

  “What all has gone missing?”

I continue looking through the drawers. “Let’s see…from what I can remember, a red scarf, a teal cowboy shirt, a purple silk robe and nightie, some yoga pants and T-shirts, some jewelry…oh, and one of my black cocktail dresses. I guess living in between all these places just threw me. But I found this T-shirt, which was gone, so I’m not crazy after all. The rest will turn up.”

So far though, I’ve had no such luck in finding anything else. I start going through the racks of clothes. Most of the clothing still have price tags on them from when Damien stocked the closets with things for me to wear.

“Have you lost anything since we got married?”

Now, he’s just trying to rub it in that I should have moved in with him sooner.

“No, I don’t think so. And before you say it, I know it could have been solved if I had moved in with you sooner. I’m glad we waited though, aren’t you?”

I don’t get a response as I abandon my search and slip my newfound T-shirt over my head. I turn around, and Damien is standing like a stone, frozen in place at the entrance.

I walk over to him. “Hey, what’s wrong? We’re living together now. It’s a fun walk down memory lane.”

He looks seriously at me. “When did you notice you started missing stuff?”

“When I started staying at your place all the time. Why are you focused on this so much?”

He fishes out his phone and connects a call. “Bane, meet us down in the study in five minutes. Drop whatever it is you are doing.”

The way his posture has gone all possessive and dominant definitely has me worried.

  “What’s going on, Damien?”

“We need to give these details to Bane.”

  “Why?”

“Alli, I don’t think you’ve lost anything. I think that fucking asshole has been in and out of your apartment, taking your shit for who the hell knows how long. You finding this shirt was a fluke.”

My body roots itself to the floor as his words penetrate my mind. A small gasp escapes my lips, and my hand involuntarily goes to my mouth. I have no idea what to say or do as Damien rubs his forehead. His jaws pops from the pressure he is putting on it. I need to feel safe in his arms right now. He must sense it because he takes a step and envelops me in a hug.
