Master of My Mind BN

Page 31

by Jenna Jacob

We spent hours discussing every feeling, thought, and rationalization running through my mind. Tony’s persuasive yet gentle questions brought a sense of closure and healing. Not only in regard to Matt but the deep scars I’d carried from the rape, the loss of Nathan, George’s betrayal, and the resentment I felt toward my parents. When he was through I felt emotionally and physically exhausted.

“I’m proud of you, angel. You’re mighty strong for being such a little wisp of a girl.” Tony teased.

Leaning up on my elbows I laughed and stared into his eyes. “Thank you, Tony. Thank you for everything.”

“I love you, sweetheart. There’s nothing on earth I wouldn’t do for you.”

“Or me for you, Master,” I whispered before dipping to brush a soft kiss to his mouth.

When I tried to pull away, Tony gripped my hair and held me captive to his lips. Demanding. Untamed. His delving doctor side vanished, and his inner dominant roared to life. My heart soared.

When he rolled me beneath him and began stripping off my clothes, my pulse raced and my body ached. Soon we were naked and panting. And when he thrust inside my sodden cunt, I cried out, gripped his shoulders, and held tight as he drove into me with savage delight. Time blurred into a haze of explosive orgasms, adoring murmurs, and blissful embraces. Serenity enveloped me.

Three weeks later, Tony rubbed suntan lotion on my belly as I lay upon a chaise beneath the warm, bright sun of Palm Beach. Our private bungalow, facing the rolling, blue waves of the Atlantic Ocean, sat a few feet behind us. He surprised me with the romantic get-away, asserting that the change of scenery would do us both good. And as the sea gulls dipped and swooped overhead, I couldn’t have agreed with him more.

We swam in the ocean, took romantic walks along the beach at sunset, and spent hours tangled in each other’s arms, feeding our boundless appetite for one another. I could easily grow accustomed to the carnal splendor we’d cocooned ourselves within.

“I wish we could stay here forever,” I sighed.

“We can if that’s what you want, sweetheart,” Tony chuckled. “You have the means, now.”

My mind shifted back to the meeting with Paula in Reed’s office. I’d been so nervous, but Tony held my hand, and when she stepped through the door, Paula looked exactly as I’d pictured her. Tall with perfectly coiffed gray hair, the woman oozed poise and grace. She was a lady in every sense of the word. Controlled and direct, Paula declined Reed’s offer of thirty-seven million dollars, half of George’s estate. I was blown away at the figure but more curious as to why she would turn down such an obscene amount of money.

“I know it must come as a shock to you,” Paula began, addressing Reed as if Tony and I were invisible. “After my husband’s stroke, I was awarded guardianship over his holdings. The simple truth is, I don’t need the money nor do I wish to have my feelings for George reduced to a monetary number.”

Then Paula did a strange thing; she turned to face me. A warm, grandmotherly smile spread over her lips. “Take it, Leagh. Take it all. Donate to charities, support medical research, help those that need it, and live out your wildest dreams with the rest. All I ask is every once in a while you lift your face to the heavens and thank George. Regardless of his duplicities, you held a special place in his heart.”

I gazed up at the clear blue Florida sky and whispered a silent ‘thank you’ to George before turning and flashing a crooked smile Tony’s way.

“What do you think about a winter home here?”

“I think it would be a marvelous place to thaw out when we’re up to our ass in snow drifts.” Tony grinned.

That night he shooed me off to take a shower, telling me he had a surprise for me. Clad in a towel, I stepped from the bathroom to find the bungalow empty and a sexy red dress, matching thong, and a pair of low-heeled black sandals set out on the bed.

“Maybe we’re going dancing,” I whispered to myself.

After drying my hair and applying a dusting of makeup, I painted my lips with a shimmering red gloss and stepped into the silky, little dress. With a critical eye, I looked in the mirror and smiled. I felt like a princess. The dress Tony picked out for me was beautiful and showed just enough skin to be tempting. Just as I began to wonder where my sneaky Master had run off to, a knock came from the bungalow door.

I opened it, expecting to find Tony, but was instead met by a forty-something man dressed in a black tux and snow white gloves.

  “Miss Bennett?”

  “Yes?”

“I’ve been sent by Mr. Delvaggio. If you would allow me to escort you, he requests your presence on the beach.”

I couldn’t imagine what Tony was up to, but I agreed by slipping my arm through the stylish man’s elbow. He led me down the palm shrouded path and into the clearing. That’s when I spied Tony, standing at an elegant, candle lit table for two, right there on the beach. He was dressed in a black tuxedo, sans the gloves, wearing the broadest smile I’d ever seen.

“Oh my god,” I whispered in surprise. He’d gone to all this trouble for me? My heart flip flopped in my chest, and I found it hard to draw in breath. As I made my way to him, warm sand spilled between my feet and sandals, but I didn’t care. All I could think of was tearing away that pristine tailored tux with my teeth and devouring his sexy ass. Tony held me with his shimmering dark eyes, and I could see the lust burning bright within them. The way he looked at me, coupled with the hunger rising inside me, it would be a miracle if we even ended up eating the dinner he’d arranged.

As the older man handed me off to Tony, he tipped his head with a smile, turned, and walked up the beach toward the main hotel. We were all alone.

Tony stood staring at me, undressing me with his eyes before he stepped in close, wrapped his arm around my waist, and pulled me tight against his steely chest.

“Forget dinner,” he growled. “I want to lay you out over this table and feast on your slick, hot cunt, sweetheart.”

My knees turned to jelly, and I purred against his ear. “Anything you desire, Master.”

“Fuck,” he cursed under his breath. His cock pressed hard and hot against my belly. “Anything?”

“And everything,” I murmured, arching my hips and grinding my mound against his erection.

“Oh, already topping from the bottom are we, my little minx?”

“Oh no, Master. Never,” I replied with feigned innocence. “I just wanted to make sure you remembered where to put that when the time comes.”

Tony reached and swatted me on the ass. “Like I could ever forget?”

“God, I hope not,” I giggled.

“Let’s eat. My cock is already screaming to be released from these trousers.”

“I don’t mind a little sand on my knees, Master.”

“I’ll remember that. Maybe you can have dessert beneath the table…If you behave.”

My mouth watered as Tony turned and helped me into the chair. As soon as he sat down, a young man appeared carrying a bottle of champagne. He filled the empty flutes next to our plates then turned and left.

Tony lifted his glass as I did mine. “To the beautiful full moon, the relaxing music of the waves, and the most breath-taking woman I’ve ever laid eyes on sitting before me.”

I felt the heat rush to my cheeks as Tony brought the rim of his glass toward mine. “And to the most amazing Master on the planet,” I added before chinking my glass to his.

The sweet champagne exploded over my taste buds. “Mmm,” I moaned as I swallowed. “I like this. What it is?”

“It’s Italian. A favorite of mine. I’m glad you like it.”

“I love everything about this night, Master. It’s perfect.”

Course after course, the waiter brought our dinner. It was the most decadent and delicious meal I’d ever tasted. When dessert came, I shot Tony a coy smile; he threw his head back and laughed.

“Maybe in a little bit, angel,” he replied wiggling his brows. “Did you enjoy the food?”

“Oh yes. It was…I don’t know what to say, Tony. This has all been so amazing. Thank you.”

A strange expression fluttered over his face before quickly disappearing. Rising from his seat, Tony stepped in close beside me. When he eased down on one knee, I sucked in a tiny gasp.

“There’s only one thing I want you to say, angel.”

Reaching into the pocket of his tux, Tony pulled out a red velvet box, lifted the lid, and placed it in my trembling hand. I stared at the enormous, shimmering square cut diamond in the center. Smaller ones surrounded it; tears began to blur my vision.

“Will you make me the happiest man and Master in the world? Marry me, angel.”

“Yes, oh god, yes!” I managed to choke past the sobs of utter joy clogging my throat.

Through my tears, I watched Tony lift the ring from the box and slide it onto my finger before he stood and lifted me into his arms. Leaving the remains of our dinner behind, he carried me back to our bungalow. He set me down in the middle of the room before taking a seat in the wing back chair in the corner. A mischievous smile tugged his lips.

“Hand me the toy bag, angel; then I want you to stand in front of me and strip. Nice and slow. Can you do that for me?”

  “Yes, Master.”

Strip for him? Like a stripper? Oh, this is going to be fun!

After delivering the toy bag, I took a step back and pouted my lips. Gazing at him with a seductive stare, I slowly slid one thin strap off my shoulder. Licking my lips, I traced my fingertips over the swell of each breast invitingly before lowering the other strap with a languid sweep of my hand. Cupping my breasts, I caught the silky fabric before it could slide down my body.

Tony’s eyes darkened; his lids fell heavy in that familiar lustful way. Without looking away, he reached down, unfastened his pants, and released his zipper. His thick erection sprang free, and an audible purr rolled from the back of my throat. Tony wrapped a fist around his ready cock, gliding his hand up and down in long, slow strokes. It took all the strength I had not to fall to my knees and swallow him up.

“Don’t start something you can’t finish, sweetheart,” Tony warned in an edgy growl.

“Oh, I can finish this for you, Master. Trust me.” I countered with a playful wink.

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that, pet. You have no idea how deeply I can crawl inside your mind.”

I let the dress puddle to the floor and eased to my knees. Skimming my palms on the carpet toward him, my ass resting on my feet, I stretched my neck upward and looked into his eyes.

“Show me. Please. Show me all the ways you yearn to master my mind.”

CALLIE trembled as she lay back on the padded table and Sean Kirkpatrick’s strong fingers wrapped around her cuffed wrist, guiding it back to the bindings above her head.

“I don’t know if I can do this,” she murmured.

He paused, then drew in a breath as if he sought patience. “Breathe, lovely.”

That gentle, deep brogue of his native Scotland brought her peace. His voice both aroused and soothed her, and she tried to let those feelings wash through her.

“Can you do that for me?” he asked.

His fingers uncurled from her wrist, and he grazed the inside of her outstretched arm with his knuckles. As always, his touch was full of quiet strength. He made her ache. She shivered again, this time for an entirely different reason.

  “I’ll try.”

Sean shook his head, his deep blue eyes seeming to see everything she tried to hide inside. That penetrating stare scared the hell out of her. What did he see when he looked at her? How much about the real her had he pieced together?

The thought made her panic. No one could know her secret. No one. She’d kept it from everyone, even Thorpe, during her four years at Dominion. She’d finally found a place where she felt safe, com- fortable. Of course she’d have to give it up someday, probably soon. She always did. But please, not yet.

Deep breath. Don’t panic. He wants your submission, not your secrets.

“You’ll need to do better than try. You’ve been ‘trying’ for over six months,” he reminded her gently. “Do you think I’d truly hurt you?”

No. Sean didn’t seem to have a violent bone in his body. He wasn’t a sadist. He never gripped her harshly. He never even raised his voice. She’d jokingly thought of him as the sub whisperer because he pushed her boundaries with a gentleness she found both irresistible and insidious. Certainly, he’d dragged far more out of her than any other man had. Tirelessly, he’d worked to earn her trust. Callie felt terrible that she could never give it, not when doing so could be fatal.

Guilt battered her. She should stop wasting his time.

“I know you wouldn’t,” she assured, blinking up at him, willing him to understand.

“Of course not.” He pressed his chest over hers, leaning closer to delve into her eyes.

Callie couldn’t resist lowering her lids, shutting out the rest of the world. Even knowing she shouldn’t, she sank into the soft reassurance of his kiss. Each brush of his lips over hers soothed and aroused. Every time he touched her, her heart raced. Her skin grew tight. Her nipples hardened. Her pussy moistened and swelled. Her heart ached. Sean Kirkpatrick would be so easy to love.

As his fingers filtered into her hair, cradling her scalp, she exhaled and melted into his kiss—just for a sweet moment. It was the only one she could afford.

A fierce yearning filled her. She longed for him to peel off his clothes, kiss her with that determination she often saw stamped into his eyes, and take her with the single-minded fervor she knew he was capable of. But in the months since he’d collared her, he’d done nothing more than stroke her body, tease her, and grant her orgasms when he thought
she’d earned them. She hadn’t let him fully restrain her. And he hadn’t yet taken her to bed.

Not knowing the feel of him deep inside her, of waiting and wanting until her body throbbed relentlessly, was making her buckets full of crazy.

After another skillful brush of his lips, Sean ended the kiss and lifted his head, breathing hard. She clung, not ready to let him go. How had he gotten under her skin so quickly? His tenderness filled her veins like a drug. The way he had addicted Callie terrified her.

“I want you. Sean, please . . .” She damn near wept.

With a broad hand, he swept the stray hair from her face. Regret softened his blue eyes before he ever said a word. “If you’re not ready to trust me as your Dom, do you think you’re ready for me as a lover? I want you completely open to me before we take that step. All you have to do is trust me, lovely.”

Callie slammed her eyes shut. This was so fucking pointless. She wanted to trust Sean, yearned to give him everything—devotion, honesty, faith. Her past ensured that she’d never give any of those to anyone. But he had feelings for her. About that, she had no doubt. They’d grown just as hers had, unexpectedly, over time, a fledgling limb morphing into a sturdy vine that eventually created a bud just waiting to blossom . . . or die.

She knew which. They could never have more than this faltering Dom/sub relationship, destined to perish in a premature winter.

The responsible choice would be to call her safe word, walk out, quit him. Release them both from this hell. Never look back.

For the first time in nearly a decade, Callie worried that she might not have the strength to say good-bye.

What was wrong with her tonight? She was too emotional. She needed to pull up her big-girl panties and snap on her bratty attitude, pretend that nothing mattered. It was how she’d coped for years. But she couldn’t seem to manage that with Sean.
