“There’s no and to that sentence. That sentence is bullshit.” His palm ran over the places he’d swatted, alternating between squeezing the flesh and rubbing. “Do you really think I’d have you in my lap right now if I didn’t want you here?”

  “Sir…”

He ignored her interruption and continued, “Do you think I would have taken you off the chair? Or made you come, if I wasn’t interested in you at all?”

Guilt surged through her as his fingers slid between her thighs, finding their mark as he pushed two of them inside her to tease that focal point. Sienna groaned, spreading her legs wider for him.

“Answer me, little girl. Do you really think I don’t care?” His other hand ripped the tie he’d used in her ponytail free, letting him grab a handful of the soaked hair to strain her neck back.

“Daddy…” she whined, and sprawled over his lap she couldn’t help but feel the weight of the trouble she was in for her off-handed comment.

“Alright then.” Alexander sounded frustrated, just before he tightened his grip in her hair and slid his fingers free to deliver a series of hard swats to her ass and thighs. Landing them randomly so she could never predict where the next would fall, but eventually she felt her entire backside glowing, pulsing, and she was squirming in his lap.

Her thighs parted of their own accord, and she lifted her ass so that his next swat landed even sharper, but Sienna moaned softly against the leather of the couch. “Daddy, please…”

“What do you want, little one?”

“Fuck me?” she begged, and the frankness of the request stunned her, but Alexander seemed to appreciate it, because he pulled her up by her hair, turning her so he could kiss her. The moment his tongue tangled with hers, she knew she was going to be his, even if she hadn’t noticed the hard press of his cock against her ass.

He slid her off his lap, standing up beside the couch to toe his shoes off. With a grin, Alexander pulled out his wallet and plucked a condom wrapper from it. “You know, you act like you weren’t the one I was hoping to spin.” His voice was a purr as he pushed her back to the couch, dropping his boxer-covered hips between her thighs. Miming a thrust against her like they were teenagers making out.

“Did you want…?” Sienna whispered the unfinished question, her doubts reappearing even as his erection rubbed against her center through the fabric.

“Of course I wanted you. You’re exactly my type.” He nipped at her neck as he rolled his hips, teasing her. “I’ve got a thing for brunettes with wide, innocent eyes.”

“My eyes are not innocent,” she argued, but it was difficult when he slid one hand between them to stroke at her, brushing her clit with his deft fingers.

“Not anymore, that’s for sure.” Alexander grinned down at her, and then he freed his cock from his boxers, tearing the condom wrapper with his teeth so he could roll it on. She watched his movements, hungry and mesmerized, because she’d wanted to feel his skin against her since he’d first kissed her. “You sure about this,” he asked, one elbow braced beside her on the couch.

“Please,” she whispered, rocking her hips up to meet his and he groaned against her shoulder, lining up, and then he thrust inside her in one powerful stroke. Their moans were almost simultaneous, a chorus of satisfaction as he filled her and settled his weight against her to start moving. Each slow, steady thrust was stoking the fire inside her, creating a new glowing possibility that she wanted to reach – but she could tell he was holding back. Tempering each movement. “I’m not breakable,” Sienna whispered against his skin, and he chuckled.

“You’re wonderful, that’s what you are.” Alexander groaned as he thrust deep again, and she wrapped her legs around his hips.

“More, Daddy,” she begged and that was it. He drew back and his next drive was harder, more powerful, and the pleasure was a thrumming ache between her thighs. Somehow, even after everything that had happened that night, she found herself inching closer to another orgasm. It didn’t matter that her body was tired, that every inch of her was sore for one reason or another, with Alexander Reed moving inside her, she only felt the pleasure. The promise of another blissful escape hovering just beyond her fingertips. “Oh God, yes,” Sienna hissed, and he started to fuck her harder.

No mercy, no holding back, and she loved the way his fingers dug into her hip, holding her still as he slammed home. It was demanding, and hot, and her clit pulsed along with each thrust, edging her nearer to her own completion. “I want to feel you come, little one,” Alexander growled, and she closed her eyes to focus on the pleasure now that she had permission.

Everything else in the room dissolved. There was no chatter, no random voyeurs watching them, it was just her and Alexander, and the bright, glittering haze that was slowly overwhelming her. Between one breath and the next, she came, her body squeezing him tight, drawing him in, and he groaned above her, his hips working until he joined her in bliss. It was somehow less than the first explosive release she’d had, but simultaneously better with his weight above her, his heat against her skin, the stretch of him filling her so completely. Their soft moans clashed together in her ears as her body shimmered, shattered, and then reformed just as Alexander drowned her breaths in kisses.

“You are incredible – perfect – wonderful…” he whispered the words between kisses, his hips locked against hers as the spiraling aftershocks slowed.

Sienna was floating somewhere between consciousness and a hazy dreamland, but it fit her completely as he grabbed the blanket from the floor. Sliding to her side, he turned her into the couch so he was at her back, before draping the warm, thin cloth over them both. With his arms around her, she felt like she could do anything, could say anything, and still be safe.

After a few, peaceful moments of silence where their breathing evened out, Alexander shifted so he could whisper against her ear, “I want you to work at my office.”

“What?” She asked, confused, twisting under the blanket to look up at his eyes, and he smiled down at her, tracing a finger down the line of her nose.

“I want you to apply to be the stenographer for our depositions. We have an open position, and I want you to have it.”

Sienna groaned and dropped her head back to her arm, avoiding his eyes. “No.”

“Excuse me?” He asked, pulling her hip back against him, but she just shook her head again.

“I’m not going to work for you as some glorified sex-bot.” Sienna was frustrated that he’d even suggest it. Their night hadn’t been perfect, but it had been wonderful. It had made her second-guess some of her decisions, re-think how she chose to play, and now he wanted to make it all some kind of sex-based job interview? Just the idea of it was making her angrier by the second.

“Sex-bot,” Alexander repeated, and she could hear the laughter in his voice from just behind her head.

“I have a job, remember? Two of them.” She growled. “Tonight was about trying something new, which I have. Several things actually. But it was not some opportunity to whore myself out for a job.”

His fist in her hair made her hiss air between her teeth, the grip sharp and biting, which was only distracted by the way his other hand dug into her hip, painfully tight. “First of all, little girl, I do not think you are a whore. Second of all, had you bothered to ask instead of making assumptions you would have learned that applying at my firm would put you in front of quite a few people, but I would not be one of them. Ever. I’m not involved in hiring.”

  “I –”

“Last, I only offered because it would make me very happy to know you weren’t killing yourself working two jobs to make ends meet, when you could have one job at my firm, which I happen to know pays quite competitively – and then you’d be fine.” The fierce pressure of Alexander’s fingers had only grown while he was talking, and she tried to nod against the fist in her hair.

  “I understand, Daddy. I misunderstood.”

As if he suddenly became aware of the strength he
was using, he released her completely, instead moving his arms to hug her tighter to his front underneath the blanket. “Dammit, Sienna… I just want you to be taken care of, even if you won’t let me take care of you.”

Alexander pressed a lingering kiss to her shoulder blade, squeezing her until she struggled to draw breath, and then she felt him roll out from under the blanket to stand and she turned to catch his arm. “What are you doing?”

His eyes looked shadowed, his expression dim, as he used his free hand to grab his slacks from the floor. “Event is pretty much over, you don’t have to spend any more time with me.”

Just as Alexander spoke, Chase was on stage again and the audience members scattered across the room started clapping, some of them cheering, but Sienna just tightened her grip on his arm as the ex-model started calling the event to a close. “I don’t give a shit about the event,” she growled.

“Okay.” Alexander nodded and tried to pull away from her again, but she held on and let him drag her to a sitting position.

“Wait! I want you, Daddy,” she whispered softly, but he flinched.

“I told you not to use that –”

“Unless I meant it, and I do. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be into that scene the same way you are...” Leaning down she picked up the bow he’d tucked into her hair that had fallen when he’d ripped the ponytail free, and she held it out to him. “But I get it. With you I mean. You treated me like a person even though I didn’t want you to. You made me recognize that I wasn’t happy just being an object, no matter what I’d told myself.”

“Right.” Alexander sounded unconvinced, and when he turned again he managed to tug his arm free of her grip.

“Terry told me the same thing!” Sienna was desperate not to let him walk away, and he turned back to her with such a look of confusion that she knew she had him for at least another moment. “At Overtime. He approached me after I played a role in this couple’s scene, and he said some of the same things you did, but I didn’t believe him. I didn’t believe any of it until you said it, until you showed me that I wanted more. That I could want more than I had, and that someone like you could give it to me. That a Daddy could give me what I really needed.”

“Sienna…” he sighed, and she winced, shifting to her knees on the couch, still completely naked and not caring a bit for the people watching her as she formed into a kneel.

“I want you. As my Dom, my Daddy, my Sir, my Master – whatever you want me to call you, I’m here and ready to use it. Respectfully.” She whined, wishing she were better with words as she struggled to think of what would convince him of what she already knew. “I suck at this, I’m not good at talking, but I know that you’re the only person that’s ever made me feel like a person and not an object.”

Tears sprung to her eyes, and the words he’d said to her earlier in the night came back loud and clear, so eloquent, so perfectly put, so full of almost supernatural observation skills that she was still stunned by them.

“You had every right, and every opportunity, to simply use me tonight. To do whatever you wanted within our activity, and be done. But you decided to talk to me, you made me talk, and if you expect me to just forget that, to go on to someone else and not think of you – well… well, fuck you!” Sienna slapped the arm of the couch beside her, trying to push back the tears, wiping her cheeks furiously so they wouldn’t show. “So, why don’t you talk now! You tell me if you were lying, if all of that shit was just part of the game!”

Alexander, for once, seemed stunned. Speechless. He pushed a hand into his hair, the only clothing on him his boxers, and his socks, as he stood beside the couch and surveyed Black Light. He stood in silence for so long that she felt something new and fragile inside her fracturing, breaking with each moment that passed – but then he turned to face her. “Come to my place. Tonight.”

“What?” she asked, confused, but then he moved to his knees by the couch so that they were almost eye-to-eye.

“I want you to come home with me. I want you in my bed so I can watch over you, so I can make sure you’re okay, and then I want to take you to breakfast before work.” Alexander reached up to interlace their fingers. “And then it would make me very happy, little girl, if you would obey me and apply for the damn position at my law firm, so that you’d have more time to see me after hours. I wasn’t lying, little one, I just didn’t want to corner you.”

“Really?” she asked, her voice wavering.

“Yes.” The strength in his voice should have been confirmation enough, but with all of her arguing, all of her bratty behavior, she needed more.

  “Are you sure?”

  “Absolutely.”

“What if you don’t like me tomorrow?” she asked, that small piece inside her still shaky, but he started laughing.

“Little girl, you haven’t seen me coming home from a bad day in court. I’m a fucking nightmare.” He placed his hands on either side of her face, holding her gaze to his blue eyes. “But no matter what, I want the opportunity to show you that you deserve having someone take care of you, having someone at your back, and someone to be there when you need them. And whether you put up with me for one week, or thirty years, I don’t care. I just want the chance. Just a chance. Will you give me that?”

Smiling, Sienna felt the warmth blooming at her core, that new and fragile thing becoming a little more solid just behind her ribs. “I think as well as we did at roulette tonight, that games of chance just might be our thing.”

“Is that a yes?” he asked, grinning.

“That’s a hell yes.” Sienna wrapped her arms around his shoulders as he kissed her again, and while she still didn’t believe in destiny, or karma, or any of that hoopla – she had a feeling that roulette wheels might just be her new religion, and Alexander Reed might be just the man to convince her that faith could bring her everything she’d ever wanted.

  Chapter 1

Yeah, her clit was definitely broken.

Chessie laid down her phone and sagged back against her pillows with a sigh. Muffled sounds from the porn clip she'd been watching continued to play until she picked her phone back up and stabbed the screen with a finger, silencing the video ‘Sexy Secretary II’.

Goddammit. She was an educated, intelligent, and successful woman, with a grad degree in poli sci, working in D.C. as a lobbyist – for women's rights, no less. Yet she was frigging her clit to a clip of a naked woman kneeling in front of a man in a suit.

  Not her finest feminist moment.

Pussy throbbing, she scrolled for another video. She'd gotten off work early for a networking dinner, and, having beat the rush home, she had a precious hour alone without her roommate, without distractions, just her and her cellphone and an internet full of porn.

  Bring on the self-loving.

But seriously, she deserved it. Other than this stolen hour, she had one night off for the rest of the month – and that was dedicated to her and her roommate’s annual ‘anti Valentine's Day’ celebration. Most years they celebrated by eating chocolate out of cheesy heart-shaped boxes, drinking wine, and comparing stories of their worst dates. Best story got to choose the restaurant where they ordered take out. Chessie wouldn’t be winning the contest this year. She hadn't had a date since... before the primaries. Way, way before.
