He snagged the condom he'd laid on the table when he climbed up earlier and went about tearing open the package and rolling the latex over his cock. Just the feel of his own fingers running over his steel-like rod almost made him lose his control, still inhaling the scent of her beautiful, pink, wet pussy wasn't helping matters either. He'd been reduced to a virginal teen in a matter of seconds.

Running his middle finger through her slit once more, he gathered more of her juices to smear over the head of his cock. He pressed the thick, sensitive head against her opening, she arched up at him, her tits bouncing from her movement. He'd never taken so much time thrusting into a woman before, but the waiting, the increased arousal, only made his girl hotter for him.

"Dane. Dane, please." Urgency, the pleading he wanted to hear rang loud in her plea for him to give her what she wanted, what she needed. She'd been so good for him all night. Shedding some of her fears, opening old wounds for him to help heal, every moment of their time together had started to heal their past. If she was worried he'd walk away from her once the party ended, she was wasting her time. After finally getting her back, having her kneel at his feet, hearing her call him sir, there was no way in hell he was walking away.

"How do you think you should ask?" He forced sternness into his voice, taking a moment to regain some fucking semblance of control.

"Pretty please, sir." Not a second of hesitation. Fuck, he was a goner.

He grabbed her hips, pushing her thighs open wider with his elbows and leaned forward, plunging into her with one swift, hard thrust. She cried out, throwing her head back, her hands coming up to his biceps and digging her nails into his flesh. Ah, fuck! He withdrew until he was almost out, and plunged forward again, groaning when his balls slapped against the curve of her heated ass.

"Oh fuck!" Her nails bit into him more, but it only drove him further.

"God damn, your pussy feels so good. So hot, so fucking tight. How the fuck are you so tight?" He didn't care about her answer, he just wanted to keep going, letting her muscles grip him and drive him closer to insanity. Any ideas he had of making this last any length of time, quickly evaporated when she looked up at him with tears brimming her lids.

"Please, Dane. I can't wait. Please, let me come? Please, sir. Pretty please?" The softness was there, the desire to please, the urgency to seek his permission. She'd hold as long as he demanded, but she'd held on long enough.

"Such a good girl. When you're ready, let go."

He pulled back and slammed into her again and again, grinding his hips into her pelvis, making sure her clit never wanted for attention as he took his pleasure and thrust hers into her grasp.

"Good girl, my good girl. My girl." He thrust again harder. "My girl. Mine." With that word, he slammed into her. She cried out, her nails dragged across his arms and she screamed his name. The pulsations around his cock pulled him in further and with one more thrust he found his own release. His body melted into hers as his mind blanked, his vision blurred, and everything that could possibly be wrong in the world wasn't even a speck on his radar. All that existed for him in that moment was in his arms, beneath him, gasping for breath and holding onto him as though he were the only thing in the universe for her, too.

Finally, he came back to reality and collapsed on Riley, careful not to crush her, but not able to do much else than that.

Her chest heaved against his, her breath washed over his shoulder as she tried to regain her own composure. After several silent minutes, he pushed up on his elbows, staring down at her.

The spit from earlier was dried on her face, a new trail of tears stained her cheeks, and her eyes were looking at him with such sincerity and such openness he thought he'd lose himself in her forever.

"Good tears or bad?" he asked, kissing them away.

"Good, I think." She shuddered beneath him.

"You ready to get up, or you need another minute?" He nuzzled her neck. She could be covered in horse shit and still smell like a princess to him.

  "Where are we going?"

"Showers." He slipped away from her, hopping off the table to take care of the used condom. When he came back from the trashcan, he found her wiping down the table. "I'll do that." He tried to take the cleaner from her, but she was already finished. He shoved his legs into his pants and tossed his shirt over his shoulder just before he scooped her up into his arms. "Let's go, girl. You're filthy."

  Chapter 6

Back in the dungeon, some of the crowds were starting to thin out. Riley could hear more scenes coming to a close, more moans of sexual release than snaps of whips. She snuggled closer to Dane as he carried her. Everything in the last three hours had been intense, more so than she would have thought she could handle. But nothing was regrettable. Even if he said goodbye to her now, if he walked away, she would not regret a single moment of their time together.

A loud cry caught her attention, and Dane's, as he paused in his step to turn around. Over in the stockades, a woman yelled out while the man behind her fucked her—hard. If her own body wasn't sore from her own intense pounding, she'd be jealous of the woman. As many of the spectators had to be, as much of the dungeon paused to watch the intense scene before them.

Dane chuckled. "That would have been you if I hadn't been selfish and took you in the semi-private," he told her and maneuvered to open the door to the men’s locker room. “Wait right here.” He disappeared inside for a brief moment. “It’s clear,” he announced when he reappeared and pulled her into the locker room.

Again, they were alone. Dane slipped her onto the bench and went to the shower to get the water going. When he returned, his clothes were already gone, and his cock, standing at half-mast drew her attention.

"Give him a few minutes, then he's all yours again." He grabbed her hand and pulled her to the shower.

The water ran warm, not too hot to have any steam—she hated steaming showers—not cold enough to unman him either. She stood under the waterfall and let the water wash over her skin. Sore didn't quite describe how her muscles felt, but she didn't care. It was the best ache she'd felt in years.

Dane pumped some soap into his hands and lathered them up. "I think we can take this off now," he said as he moved his hands over the word tease. Just as he promised, the washable, black marker smeared then ran off her body. "And this one." He moved lower to the word naughty. "Although, I'm sure it still fits." He winked at her. Her heart hammered beneath his touch. After the shower, they'd be done. The party would be over, and she'd head back to her apartment alone. He'd head back to his bachelor pad, ready to move on with someone else. Someone who wasn’t so scared of herself, one that could give him everything he deserved.

He picked up her arm and frowned at the word. "This one you'll wash off." He took her other hand and wiped some of the suds into her palm. "Go on," he urged.

"You don't think public litigation is a step down?" she asked with her lathered hand hovering over the word.

"Not if it's what makes you happy. If it keeps you safe, and keeps you from having to see the horrible shit in this world that you can't stop, then no. I don't think so."

"And, us? I failed there. I failed you." She paused, looking up at him wishing she could read his mind. "I failed me."

"You failed to face your fear and try. That's not being a failure, that's just failing at one thing. And now, you've faced it. You came tonight and put yourself in my hands and you did more than I ever thought you'd consider. So, no. You aren't a failure. Now wash that fucking word off. It pisses me off to see it." The heat never reached his eyes, but she knew he meant what he said.

She wiped the soap over the word, scrubbing until it was all gone. "There." She smiled up at him, the genuine feeling of pleasure filling her chest as his lips curled at the edges.

"Perfect." He kissed her, a deep possessing kiss that made her want to sink her hands in his hair and beg him never to walk away. To forgive her for giving up on them, but he broke the kiss and flipped
off the water.

He grabbed a towel from the hook and handed it to her, watching as she wrapped it around her body. Having her body shielded from him somehow felt wrong, as though it had just closed the door on their evening.

After drying himself off quickly and throwing on his own clothes he pointed to the door. "I'll go get your things. Did you have a bag with other clothes, or you want that skirt you had on?"

"You didn't like it?" She'd meant for it to be a tease, but his dark expression wiped away her smile.

"Oh, I fucking loved it, but it’s cold out there. And if the wind picks up, you’ll be flashing the parking lot. You have other clothes?"

She sighed. "Yeah. Jeans in my bag. Pink and black bag by the stage."

He eyed her for a moment in silence. "You’re worried about what happens now."

"It's okay. Don't worry about it, Dane." She could feel the heat back in her cheeks and hated it. The bright lighting of the room didn't shield her embarrassment – and not the erotic sort of embarrassment that wet her pussy and made her yearn for his touch.

"My neck." He stuffed his hands into his pockets and faced her. "I broke it two years ago, going after a recruit that couldn't get off one of the towers. Freaked out once he hit the top and couldn’t get himself down. I went up to help. As I was getting him in position to climb down, he freaked out again and starting flailing. Knocked me off the rig. I fell straight down, him right behind me. I broke his fall and my neck."

Riley's hand covered her mouth. Of course, he'd get hurt helping someone else.

  "Oh my God," she whispered.

He took a step toward her. "Do you know what I was thinking as I fell, what thought kept spinning around in my head?"

She shook her head, unable to speak.

"You. I kept thinking I should have chased you down. I should have made you stay." His toes touched hers. "As I lay there hearing everyone barking orders at the recruits, heard the ambulance coming, I just kept thinking about you. I knew you'd made DA, and I wondered if you were happy, did you have someone new? Every moment of my physical therapy was painful, more than any flogger to your ass could ever be, but every time I wiggled a toe, took a fucking baby step, or managed to get myself to the bathroom without help, I saw it as one more step to getting back to you. The first time I saw you here, I just about exploded with relief. And every time I saw you play with someone, saw you hold yourself back from what you really wanted I got so pissed, but I couldn't confront you."

Her face heated even more. "Dane—" he put his hand up to stop her from continuing.

"When your name hit on that roulette wheel," he took a shaky breath, "it was my turn, my chance to make you see yourself, your real self. Fuck, Riley, I was so scared."

"You? Scared?" She reached for him, touching her fingertips to his jaw, then his lips. "I was terrified you'd hate me forever. That you'd walk away after tonight, and we'd go back to seeing each other but never talking."

He yanked her into his arms and held her fast to him. She could smell his musky aftershave, and tried to memorize it. "Never. I can't let you go now."

  "Don't. Please, never."

"You're mine now. We'll give this a real chance, a real shot."

He pulled away to look in her eyes, and she could see the vulnerability there, the fear in his own expression that mirrored hers.

  "I'm yours?"

  "Yeah. Mine."

Dane left her to get dressed once he brought her the duffel bag and waited outside the doors to the women’s locker room. She needed a minute to her own thoughts, and so did he. She wasn't running away screaming with her hands over her eyes.

If she was afraid, he was terrified. Everything could go wrong again. She could tuck tail and run, but this time was different because he knew the signs, and he would chase her. He wouldn't let her get away. Not after spending the entire evening playing with her dark side and seeing how she blossomed.

"Is Riley in there?" Sydney stepped up to him.

"Uh, yeah, just changing." He jerked a thumb toward Tate who stood several feet away eyeing them, but not looking like he was going to be joining them. "What's with your guy there?"

She didn't bother looking over her shoulder. "He's not my guy. He made that perfectly clear. Not his type, too much for him, whatever. Is she almost ready? She's my ride."

Dane looked over at Tate. He didn't look like he was quite finished with Sydney, but she seemed done for the night. "Uh, should be just a second. Are you sure that's what he said?" Dane scratched the back of his neck. The scar tissue still itched like mad some nights.

"That's what I heard." She huffed. "I'll be at the car. Can you tell her?"

  "Sure."

Sydney stopped mid-turn to look Dane over. "You two do okay?"

“We finished the game, if that’s what you mean.” Dane looked back over at Tate. “How’d you guys do?”

She ignored his question. “So, you get her to pull her panties out of the wad they’ve been in since you two broke up?”

"Sydney!" Riley stepped out of the locker room with a glare. "Shut up."

"Whatever. I'm going to the car."

Dane watched Tate as Sydney sauntered past, and shook his head. Whatever she’d heard, isn’t what that man meant. He did not look at all pleased to see her walking away.

"She's a little hard to handle. I can see why it didn’t work with Tate, he's a bit sterner than her bratty side can take."

"Uh, huh." Dane shook his head. Tate had his work cut out for him if he was going after that wild beast, but Dane wasn't going to get in the way. He had his own happily ever after to chase. "I was going to offer you a ride, but she said you’re hers. You want me to follow you?"

"Home?" She laughed. "I can manage."

"My number's the same, you know." He pushed a stray curl away from her face. "Never changed it."

  Her eyes widened. "Really?"

  "Yeah, just in case."

  She sighed softly. "Me too."

He laughed and pulled her into a hug. "I'll at least walk you to your car."

"Fine. If you must." She wrapped her arm around his waist and didn't even protest when he took her bag. "What about your bag?"

"I’ll come back in for it. It'll be fine. How’s your back and your ass?"

“Tender and sore, but in the best possible way.” She grinned up at him.

They walked through security where she gathered her cell phone from the lockers and headed to the tunnel that would take them back out through the psychic shop. The cool air of February embraced them once they were outside. Sydney was leaning against Riley’s car, smoking a cigarette.

"Text me when you get home." He pressed a kiss to her temple.

"You going to start micromanaging already?" It was a tease, but he wouldn't let it get out of hand.

"I just want to know you got home safe. We're going to ease into this, Riley. No fast track, no list of twenty rules and protocols. This is just you and me, getting to know each other again."

When they got to the car, Riley unlocked it and Sydney scrambled into the front seat, slamming the door once inside.

Riley sighed. "It's going to be a long ride home."

"I guess no bragging about what an awesome time you had." He tweaked her nose.

"I did. I had an amazing time, Dane. Even the scary parts, the hard parts, and the painful parts were the best parts."

Her lips were too tempting, he leaned in and kissed her. The blaring of the horn broke their moment.

"Shit. She must be really pissed at him." Riley laughed. "I better go."

"Text me. And if you're available, how's lunch tomorrow?"

"Lunch sounds good. Real good." She sucked in her lower lip. "Best Valentine’s Day in years." She laughed and turned to her car.

"Best spin of the wheel." He patted her ass and stepped aside for her to open the door.

The car roared to life and she slowly backed out of the space as he watched her. He didn't take his eyes off her car un
til she waved out the window and turned onto the main street.

  Best Valentine’s Day indeed.

  Chapter 1

“Why do you always wear that collar on your neck? And what does the tag hanging from it say?” The question was out of Sari’s mouth before she could bite it back. Apparently, all it took to erase her internal filters was one beer.
