“I’m cumming… I’m cumming over your big fat cock and how you fill me with every fucking an inch. I’m cumming…I’m cumming, so damn hard that I don’t know if I’m going to be the same again… AHHHHHH,” She said with her eyes now rolling into the back of her head.
I was lying beside her with my head near where they were completing this transaction. The vein in his neck was quite pronounced. I had to wonder if his need for other women would supersede his bonding love for me. Could I seriously see him sharing the wealth and why was it that I was getting such a thrill out of seeing him please another?
I ran my hands down the sheen of his chest, tweaking his nipples and making him jerk a few more times inside her. It was such the load that it was actually dripping around the thickness of his member.
I had sacrificed a lot to be with him and all on the promise of money. I still wanted the money, but it wasn’t as important as the feelings that had developed between us.
He slowly pulled out and I could see that her lips were trying to hold him in place. They were sucking on each inch of his shaft until it finally slipped past. I took it into my mouth and that sensitive part around the head was now that much more so. His hips were moving on their own and I could feel that knob tickling the inside of my throat.
Before I came to his island, I wasn’t very experienced sexually, but those days had long been dead and buried. If I could go back in time, would I want to start this journey all over again from the beginning? I couldn’t even imagine my life before any of this. He really did get the best of me and I knew that I did the same thing in return.
“I can honestly say that I wasn’t expecting it to be that good. I think that we have Lucy to thank for that. She could’ve easily lie there and watched, but she decided to help things along. I’m not sure that she did that for her own pleasure or for the reason of getting this over with as quick as possible. A deal is a deal,” Harper said as she reached underneath the bed and pulled out the sword.
She passed it to Devlin. He lifted it with two hands to let the gleaming metal shine off the light of the moonlight and all the candles lit around the room. We had what we came for and had gotten a lot more in return. We had what Desmond wanted. We just had to arrange a suitable meeting time. It would have to be preferably some place that wasn’t private and more public to prevent him from going back against his word.
Chapter 43
Harper had escorted us to the door. She may not have been able to see like other people, but she could see a lot more than most. I wondered how her other senses had come alive while doing the deed with myself and Devlin. She had the ability to make you think that she wasn’t blind and maybe that was her superpower.
“I don’t know how quite to tell you this, Devlin, but I believe that I’m going to have your baby. It’s up to you how much you want to be a part of it or not. I know that it’s early and that I probably shouldn’t know, but for some reason, there’s something telling me that what I wanted from you is exactly what I got. I’ll be sure to verify it with my own private Dr., but I do believe that fatherhood is in your future,” Harper said with that sheet draped around her making her look like very delicious with that glow about her.
“I know that this was a matter of convenience for both of us, Harper. I never thought that I would make a good father, but it doesn’t look like I’m going to have much of a choice. I have to give this some serious thought. I’ll surely be in touch to find out how everything is going. Stay healthy and make sure that you do nothing to jeopardize the well-being of the baby,” Devlin said and he took my hand and we walked out of there with the sword.
I turned to him and I put my head on his shoulder to give him some moral support for the momentous event that was going to turn his life upside down. I wasn’t sure if he would want to be there for the birth, but I wouldn’t have blamed him in the very least. I would gladly stand by his side and this was, after all, a group decision and one that made us all have to live with the consequences.
“I want you to know that I may have had misgivings at the beginning, but she really does grow on you. I want to hate her, but I can’t do that for some reason. You obviously knew what kind of control she has over what a person thinks. It’s most likely the reason why you didn’t object to the opportunity to sleep with her again. I know that it was getting your hands on the sword that made you do this. I won’t let you go through this alone. Of course, I would have loved to have carried your child myself, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have our own down the road,” I said knowing that I was the one that he had chosen and not her.
“I can’t ask you to do that, but I’m grateful that you’re willing to live with this strange family dynamic. There are times that I feel like I’m small and nothing at all. I’ve always stumbled and fallen on my face, but I’ve always been able to get back up. You were the one that had to start to crawl before you were able to stand on your own 2 feet. I know that this might sound wrong, but I’m a bit of a proud papa already for how you have emerged from your cocoon into a butterfly,” Devlin said as he held my head to his shoulder.
He arranged for the meeting in the only place that made any sense. The market where we had seen the locals come to peddle their wares was exactly where we were going to have this little transaction. I wasn’t exactly thrilled by how easily Devlin could manipulate. It made me aware of the fact that he could be doing the same thing to me.
Kenneth was there when we called and he was waiting for us outside Harper’s residence. We climbed into the back seat with the sword hidden underneath a long length of fabric. I saw Kenneth looking with curiosity, but he did nothing to question what it might be. He knew that his money was on the line and that anything that he did could ruin the chances of us using him in the future. He had promised to be all about discretion and he was showing to be a man of his word.
“I would say from the looks on your faces that you had quite the time. I get the feeling like I should’ve been a fly on the wall. I reached out to a few contacts on the island and they tell me that Desmond is ready for war. He has personnel ready to intervene on his behalf. He also has several locals that he has paid quite handsomely for the information of what you are doing on any given day and time,” Kenneth said as he pulled that steering wheel to the side to avoid an oncoming pedestrian on a bicycle.
Anyplace else and the person on the bike would be screaming obscenities and pounding on the hood of the taxi as it drove by. This guy didn’t even flinch and the only thing that made me come to the conclusion that he might have felt like his life was in danger was the way that his eyes seemed to go wide with alarm.
“I thought it best that I tell you what was going on. You obviously have people that talk to you that may not be the most trustworthy. They will tell you things that they won’t tell us and that’s worth the money that I’m putting in your hands,” Devlin said as he held my hand tightly to give me that strength and courage to walk into the unknown yet again.
“Everybody that I’ve talked to says that Desmond can’t be trusted. He will tell you one thing and do another, but I don’t think that I’m telling you anything that you don’t already know,” Kenneth said as he looked into the mirror and made eye contact with me.
I wasn’t even able to think straight and these last few days had pushed me into things that were not exactly for the faint of heart. I just wanted a little bit of his heart and knew that a part of it would always belong to the one that he lost. I would not take that away from him. On those days that he could easily break down, I would be there to console him in his hour of need.
I’d finally found the words to say what I needed to say. I was a fool for him, but I didn’t feel like I had done anything to deserve him. All I wanted was to make him see me and not treat me like any other one of his experiments. It had gone beyond that, but I wasn’t quite sure what was going to happen when he finally had to let me go. I was hoping that there would come a time that he would say that he didn’t want me t
o leave.
He had already told me that he wanted to extend my stay, but that was a far cry from actually asking me to stay with him in life and in love. I didn’t want to say anything, in case I made him feel like I was laying down some kind of ultimatum. That was not how I was built, but I had to admit that I was close to saying something on this subject.
With Desmond waiting for us and most likely about to spring a trap, there was no choice but to leave any kind of indecision for later. There was a part of me that wanted to make my way back home, but a bigger part said that I was already where I was supposed to be. It was those sands of time that reminded me that life could be over at the snap of somebody’s fingers. To waste it by sticking my head in the sand was only doing myself more harm than good.
I had no idea how I could be this reckless and not feel like running in the opposite direction. There were times with Devlin that I looked around and I couldn’t quite believe that this was where I was at. It soon dawned on me that I didn’t have to fear my feelings. Where others would wait for the right time, he had taken that choice out of my hands.
“I don’t suppose that you got me that package that I requested,” Devlin said as Kenneth reached back with a plain brown wrapper.
He reached inside and pulled out the gun. It wasn’t much to look at, but it didn’t have to be pretty to get the job done. He handled it like a professional, pulling the clip and finding that it was fully loaded and ready to bring down the enemy.
“I don’t think that I have to tell you that I’m not very comfortable around guns. I’ve never liked them, Devlin, and I don’t want the chance to use it. I’m not going to ask why you have it because that’s pretty damn obvious from the way Desmond treated us from the moment that he met us. We can’t take any chances. To think otherwise is only asking for him to become the king of the jungle,” I said.
To me, we were hopeless hearts passing through, but I had a feeling that we were both made to love one another. He really didn’t have to say anything to what I had to say. He knew my feelings and this was just a necessary precaution to keep us both out of danger.
“You won’t see them, but I have a few people at the market that are going to keep an eye on you both. You did the right thing by coming to me. I do like the money, but I also have loyalty to the one that I work for. I will not back stab you or turn my back for more money to line my pocket,” Kenneth said as he fingered a shotgun that was lying between his legs like some kind of phallic symbol of strength and virility.
We arrived at the market and there were still many people milling around. This was the kind of market that was open for several hours. It gave each vendor the chance to get rid of their merchandise before the sun went down.
It didn’t take all that much to spot our query. He was standing there amongst the hustle and bustle with two of his men shadowing him. We had no doubt that he probably brought more than that with him. We had already been told by Kenneth that he couldn’t be trusted. I had to put my faith in Devlin that he knew exactly what he was doing.
“I would say that it was nice to see you again, Desmond, but that’s not true. We should just get this over with and go our separate ways. I doubt very seriously that you would want to do business with me again, but I need to reiterate that I’m not the same man that you used to know. You may not believe this, but the love of a good woman can change the heart of any man. I feel like I’m whole again and I have Lucy to thank for that,” Devlin said as he took out the sword and presented him with something that was most likely priceless on the right market.
“I’m not even going to ask how you got it. It will be nice to do business with you again, Devlin, but I don’t think that’s possible. I have many other ventures, but I believe that our business has been concluded,” He said as he lifted his hand and several men with guns came forward to finish the job.
“Why doesn’t it surprise me that you would want to kill the only person that knows that you have the sword? You know me well enough to know that I don’t come unprepared,” He said while motioning with his hand and this time several of Kenneth’s charges came forward.
Their weapons weren’t as shiny, but they did serve the purpose for what needed to be done. We were at a stalemate and this could either turn into a bloodbath or it could be a chance for everybody to lay down their arms in peace.
“I know that the both of you have a certain pride. I would rather that you just pull back and stop this measuring contest to see who’s the biggest. We can all walk away and it doesn’t have to go any further than this,” I said standing between them like I was some sort of mediator.
“I should’ve asked that you give me this little lady with the sword, but I understand that would’ve been asking for too much. We can walk away for now, but this is a tentative peace at best. We both know that you have other enemies that will not be as accommodating. It’s a pleasure to tell you that I’ve already been in touch with people that you have done business with. You can imagine that they weren’t very happy when they found out that I was dealing with a forgery. You probably have nothing to worry about, unless of course you tried this same tactic with others,” Desmond said most likely knowing that Devlin had a death wish for a long time.
“I wish that you didn’t do that. There are those that won’t take kindly to being fooled. I don’t want to be looking over my shoulder every day of my life and I don’t want to feel that Lucy’s life will end prematurely because of me. I want us to live a long and fruitful life together,” Devlin said not quite aware of the fact that he had never mentioned something like this to me.
“You brought this on yourself, Devlin. You played with people’s lives and there are consequences to your actions. You have to learn that not everything can be solved with money. I’m leaving knowing that the life that you have built will crumble around your ears. I look forward to spitting on your grave and believe me I won’t be the only one,” Desmond said as he turned to his men and they walked away with the prize in hand.
“I understand that what you said was in that heat of the moment, but did you mean any of it? I need to know and maybe you didn’t even realize what you said,” I said putting him on the spot.
He turned to me with a small box in his hand. It made my heart stop.
“I meant every word and I think that I want to marry you. I never thought that I would say those words again in my lifetime, but you found a way to heal my broken heart by giving me your own,” He said while getting down on one knee.
He placed that ring on my finger and Kenneth and his people were now applauding the official declaration of our love for one another.
The smile on Desmond’s face told me that this was not the end of it. He may not be coming after us anymore, but that didn’t mean that there weren’t others waiting to strike. Our happiness might be short-lived, but I was going to hold onto it and hope for the best.
We were going to have to live in the moment, but that was exactly what we were doing anyway. Nothing really had to change, except this time I knew where I stood. I would not second guess myself and the diamond on my finger gave me everything that I needed to know and more.

Chapter 1
I always wanted to be a writer, someone admired from afar and given those accolades usually accompanied by a pat on the back. I needed money, and I funded my quest for this stardom taking a position of tending a bar. I was never much of a social butterfly, but here I was; an unattainable fruit at the top of the tree. It didn’t matter how many times one drunk after the other would put a move on me; I would never take that walk of shame. I had seen too many young ladies step into this place and lose their dignity.
“I don’t know why you keep going with this pursuit when everything you have learned from one publisher to the next has been less than kind. You really do know how to take rejection, and still, you are able to stand without falling into a pit of depression,” Nicole Evans was the party girl with the attitude and the spiky hair that went with the ensemble of something more risqué than I would ever tempt to wear, except at work.
“I have to swing for the fences; I don’t think I would be able to look at myself in the mirror if I didn’t. This is not an easy market to break into. When I started, I thought all I would need was several names for the male and female genitalia. It’s a lot harder than that; coming up with characters realistic enough to make you want to root for them is not as easy as it seems. I’ve improved considerably over the last five years, and I’m crossing my fingers this manuscript will be received better than the others. It’s not about the money, although I could certainly use it to keep a roof over my head,” I said, knowing full well I lived beyond my means, even though I claimed a minimalist kind of lifestyle to be the best way to go.
