Unveil My Heart (Wiccan Haus Book Seven)

“I’m glad you brought me here,” Blaine said as she rested her head on Hayze’s shoulder. “There really is no other place like Wiccan Haus, is there?”
In such a short amount of time, so much had taken place. So many things had changed. Hayze had gone from being simply a hunter to an Anubi…a being with a mate, a life, and a future to look forward to. And it was all because of Wiccan Haus and the brat pack. And Blaine, she had thought her life worthless. She seriously believed she was a walking talking time bomb for bad luck and that nothing good would ever come of her life. And now here she stood ready and willing to face their future with optimism and hope.
“No, there isn’t, love. There certainly isn’t.”
She smiled into his shoulder. “So, did Sarka really give us the okay to flash step off the island?”
“Yeah, but there’s only a very small window in which the magic surrounding the island will be down, so we have to time it just right.”
“What happens if we don’t?”
Hayze chuckled and kissed the crown of his mate’s head. “She’ll probably steal our souls and sell them to her master, Lucifer.”
“You’re kidding, right?”
He glanced back at the Haus and the woman standing on the steps with her arms crossed over her chest, and a “why are you still here” smirk on her face. He nodded his head in Sarka’s direction in a show of thanks and camaraderie. They definitely had a strained relationship, but they were always friends when it counted.
Sarka rolled her eyes even as she smiled at them and disappeared back into the Haus.
“Let’s find out. I think luck is definitely on our side this go around.”
“This isn’t about luck; this is about love.” Blaine tipped up on her toes and kissed the corners of his mouth. “Wait, does this mean I’m immortal now?”
“Of course. Your life is tied to mine, but is forever too long to spend with me?” Hayze smiled down at her.
“If I were only given a day, a decade, a century, or millennia to love you, I would still beg for more time. So, forever sounds pretty damn good.”
“You make loving you entirely too easy,” Hayze whispered, brushing a kiss across her brow. “Are you ready?”
“I’m ready whenever you are, mate.”
“I love how that sounds coming from you. Say it again.”
“Mate,” she whispered as the ground disappeared from beneath her feet and the world began to spin around them, “Mate. Forever and for always.”
