“Well, all of that’s over. You’re safe here with us,” Jetty declares. “You know you can stay here forever with us. Hell, none of us are going anywhere.”

“Right now I’m tired. I just want to get some sleep.” I rub my eyes with damp tissues. One by one my brothers come up and hug me. Even Rip tells me he loves me and is happy to have me back in his life. I know there’s still a lot we need to talk about, like what they’ve been doing since leaving the Marines and why they’re all living together. I don’t have the energy or the strength to get into that tonight thought. It’s already late and there’s still something I need to tell Romeo.

Her brothers aren’t too happy when Katalina leaves with me to the cabin. But there’s no way I’m not spending the night with her. I need to have her in my arms again. After hearing everything she’s been through, I can’t blame her for leaving me. I only wish her father was still alive so I could have the pleasure of killing him myself.

“It definitely isn’t the Vegas penthouse but it’s better than not having you at all,” I say as I hold the front door open for her. She looks around and starts laughing.

“I can’t imagine my brothers in the penthouse. This is way more their style,” she says and looks around. “A one room cabin with a cot and a couch.”

She looks at me and smiles. “It’s good with me. We need to get use to sleepless nights and being tired.” Kat places a hand on her stomach and looks up at me with a bashful expression.

It takes me a few moments before I realized what she’s trying to tell me. “You’re pregnant?” If you would have asked me six months ago I would have said I’d never have a reason to ever ask any woman that question. I always used protection. But not with Kat. I can’t wait to hear her answer.

“Yes. I took a pregnancy test in the Denver airport. It was positive almost immediately.” Her beautiful face lights up.

“I can’t believe the woman I love is carrying my baby,” I say and pick her up and spin her around.

“Ugh, put me down. I can’t take spinning right now. My stomachs been so sensitive.”

I laugh and let go of her, falling onto my knee at the same time.

“It’s a good thing I brought this with me.”

Her eyes follow my hand as I pat the shirt pocket over my heart. She covers her mouth with both hands and gasps.

“Katalina Martinez, I knew you were the woman for me from the moment I first saw you. I promise to love you and our baby for eternity. Will you marry me?” I reach into my pocket and pull out the ring.

“Yes!” She screams and jumps into my arms. We fall over laughing and crying. And I spend the night making sweet love to the woman who owns my heart.
