One More Chance: A Secret Baby Second Chance Romance

Page 8

by Amy Brent

Flashes of lost virginities and crumbling innocence rolled through my mind. I saw something spark behind her beautiful blue eyes, but it was gone before I could question it. I reached over and took her hand, watching as our fingers laced together. Her touch was warm and her skin so soft, and my throbbing groin pushed blood to the one place I didn’t need it at the moment.

“If it upset you—or her—I’m sorry. That wasn’t my intention, Ana. But I didn’t know how else to get your number. I didn’t know how else to get in contact with you. Seeing you in that bar brought back so many memories, and I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about them during my law school years.”

  “You what?” she asked.

“Yeah. You were on my mind a lot. And when I made the decision to move back here and be with my family again, a big part of me hoped to run into you. And I did. Then you blew me off. But I remembered you mentioning your store, so I walked in to find you. You weren’t there, so I did the only thing I could.”

“You posed as a lawyer to scare my employee into giving you my number.”

“In my defense, I didn’t have to pose as one. I am one.”

She laughed and shook her head before a sigh left her lips.

“Why go through all that?” she asked.

I snickered in shock as her eyes came back to mine.

“It’s a valid question. The last time we saw one another, we fought. We said terrible things to one another. Why come back with the want to see me?” she asked.

  “Isn’t it obvious?”

  “No, it’s not, Tyler.”

I turned my body to hers and lifted my free hand to cup her cheek. I grazed my thumb over her skin, watching it tint as her eyes danced between mine. Those big, innocent, beautiful blue eyes that reminded me of a sunny day just before a surprise thunderstorm, sparkling with a bit of mischief in the air.

I ran my thumb over her lower lip and watched her lips pucker.

“Because I still love you, Ana.”

Her eyes widened in shock as my lips fell to meet hers. I expected her to pull away, to shove me back onto the blanket and start rattling on about things. But instead of getting her anger, I got her passion. Her lips pressed against mine as she rose from the blanket, and I felt her bosom mesh with my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and hoisted her into my lap, my cock jumping to life. Our tongues battled. I breathed her air. I ran my hands up and down her sides, clutching her hips and thighs with a fury I wanted to release on her naked form.

She moaned into my mouth as I slowly moved her over, laying her back on the blanket I had spread out for our impromptu picnic dinner behind our sign. In the same place I lost my virginity to her, I was about to proclaim my undying love to the one woman who would forever be the one who got away.

And if I played my cards right, Ana would also be the one I got back.

  Ana

Because I still love you, Ana.

His words hung in the air between us as I shuddered under his lips. He still loved me? After all these years? My heart leapt at the prospect as he moved my dress up my body. His touch ignited me, set me on fire and shivered me to my core. He kissed up and down my thighs. He mouthed over my clothed pussy. He dipped his tongue into my belly button and nibbled on my hips, all the while massaging every place he could get his hands on.

The thrill of getting caught and the memories of this spot made my tits tighten. I gave my virginity to him right on this spot ten years ago.

As his face came back into view, my heart stopped in my chest. His beautiful green eyes gazed into mine as a small chunk of his light brown hair hung in his face. The light of the Hollywood sign illuminated the night behind him, coating his strong jawline and chiseled features in a darkness that made my toes curl.

I reached up and caught his lips with mine, and that was all the approval he needed. Our hands made quick work of our clothes, exposing only what was necessary in case we got caught. It was salacious, forbidden. Sweat coated my chest as his fingers teased my folds. He dipped his hands into my panties and found my clit, and I jumped against his hand.

“There she is,” he said, grinning.

  “Tyler, don’t stop.”

“Trust me, Ana. I have no intention of stopping. Not even if someone comes by.”

  “What?”

“I hope you can keep quiet.”

His grin was positively lewd. My juices dripped onto his hand as he slid two fingers into my tight folds. I rocked against his hand, feeling his thumb press deeper and deeper. My legs tensed and released. They shook against the ground as I reached for him. My hand fell onto his chest and rushed down his body, finding his pulsing cock dripping for me.

“Oh shit,” he said as I grabbed it.

I pumped it in time with his circling thumb.

His precum dripped onto my skin, and it made me moan. He throbbed against my palm, and I could no longer take it. I wanted to taste him, to feel him, to have my throat filled with him. I reached for his pants and tugged him toward me, and soon his knees were planted beside my face while his cock dangled above my lips.

I smoothed my hands along his chiseled ass cheeks as his lips fell to my pussy.

I slid his cock down my throat and moaned when his tongue grazed my clit. The sounds of the city below echoed up to us as I groaned around his dick. He hips rolled into me. His balls nestled against my nose every time I pulled him back down to my lips. I hollowed out my cheeks and felt him groan into my pussy, a sensation that rushed goosebumps down my legs.

He spread my thighs and lapped at me, causing my throat to open for him.

“That’s it. Oh fuck, Ana. Your throat is so warm. So good for me.”

“Don’t talk with your mouth full,” I said around his cock.

He chuckled against my skin, kissing my thigh as he stroked my skin. His tongue explored my wetness. I felt him dip in and out of my pussy, teasing me to an edge I was tired of teetering on. His hips rolled languidly against my face as my hands tightened on his ass, the crescents of my nails marking his skin.

The second his tongue found my clit again, he soared me over the edge.

I bucked against his face as his fingertip played with the entrance of my pussy. My throat closed around his cock, and his hips stop. I dug my heels into the ground as I lifted my hips, my legs trembling and my pussy throbbing for him. Juices poured down my ass crack. I listened as he slurped me up. His tongue rushed up and down my entire slit, catching every drop of me as it fell from my body.

My hips dropped back to the blanket, but he didn’t stop.

  “Tyler, it’s too much. Tyler, please. I can’t. I don’t know if I—”

“Give me another, Ana. Just one more.”

His finger slid into my pussy and my eyes rolled into the back of my head. My mouth hung open for his cock, and he fucked my throat as precum dripped down it. I was useless to him, motionless as pleasure coursed through my veins. I tasted him after so many years, and tears rushed to my eyes as I realized how much I had missed this. How much I had missed him. Suddenly, it all made sense: why I hadn’t dated since Brody was born, why I threw myself into work and kept myself out of the limelight, why I always took Kristi to conferences instead of anyone else.

I had been waiting for Tyler to come back so I could experience all of it with him.

My body took over and my hips began to buck. Another finger filled my pussy, and I lost my mind. I hollowed out my cheeks around his cock, and Tyler’s hips began to stutter. I felt his balls moving. I watched them pull up into his body as he moaned into my clit.

“Holy hell, Ana. Yes. I’m coming. Oh shit. I’m coming. Fuck!”

His tongue flattened out over my clit, and I raked myself along it. Threads of cum shot from the tip of his dick as he sank it down my throat. I swallowed him whole, gagging at the sensation as he filled my stomach. My eyes rolled into the back of my head and everything vanished. I met my end once again upon his lips.

Not even I could deny th
e passion that coursed through my veins when I fell back onto the blanket. Not even I could deny the heat of his words as that phrase still echoed off the corners of my mind.

Not even I could deny how happy it had made me feel to hear him say it.

Tyler pulled his cock away from my face as spit and cum dripped down my cheek. He cleaned me up with his tongue before he kissed my pussy lips. Then he moved off to the side and helped me sit up.

The world spun. The earth tilted on its axis. My head went falling to his shoulder as something soft hit my cheek.

“Here, let me get that,” he said.

He cleaned up my mess before gathering me in his arms, and I lay there against him as he supported us both. He wrapped his arms around me as we gazed out at the city from behind the Hollywood sign, my heart fluttering a thousand miles a second in my chest.

  “Wow,” I said breathlessly.

He met me with a chuckle that caused me to smile.

  “Wow indeed,” Tyler said.

  “You think my car’s done?”

  “Does it matter?”

  “Probably not.”

“Then yeah, your car’s probably done.”

“Thank you for helping me with that, by the way.”

He kissed the top of my head, filling me with the strength I needed. As much as I wanted to stay there with him, I couldn't. Kristi was watching Brody at my place and I had to get back. I stood on my wobbly legs and fixed my clothes. The last thing I needed was to look like a hot mess when I walked back into my house. Kristi would bombard me with all sorts of looks and stay until Brody fell asleep for all the juicy details.

And I didn’t want to give them to her.

“I guess I should be getting you back if you’re dressing,” Tyler said.

“What time is it?” I asked.

  “Almost eleven.”

“Then yes, I really need to be getting back.”

  “Something waiting at your house?”

  “My job in the morning?”

“That’s right. The little clothing store thing.”

“Ha, ha, ha.” I stuck my tongue out at him, and he threw his head back and laughed.

“Don’t tempt me like that. It might take another hour for me to get you home.”

  “You’d need my permission first.”

“Don’t worry. I don’t think I’d have any trouble getting it,” he said.

I shook my head at him before I helped him pick everything up. We tossed the trash into a small plastic bag and put everything in the trunk. Then he helped me into his car and drove me back to my place. I still wasn’t a fan of the fact that he knew where I lived now. What if he popped by randomly and Brody was with me? My mind raced at lightning speed while he drove silently through town. Once we got to my place, Tyler got out and rushed around to open my car door.

“Thank you,” I said as he helped me out.

“Let me walk you to your door.”

  “That’s not necessary.”

“Ana, it’s what men do. It’s just to your door. I’m not asking to come in.”

“Tyler, that chivalry type of nonsense isn’t necessary. It’s just us. You're fine.”

“Let me treat you the way you deserve. That’s all I’m asking.”

  “Tyler, no.”

Disappointment rushed over his features before he looked at my house. I knew I was no longer being conspicuous about hiding something. After all, he was a lawyer. His bullshit meter was fine tuned. But he couldn't go barging in and find out about Brody. Not like that.

If I was going to tell him he had a son, it needed to be done with tact. He didn’t need to be blindsided or slapped across the face with it. He needed to hear it from me, not get the information secondhand.

  He deserved at least that.

“Thank you for a great night,” I said.

I leaned over and kissed his cheek, but I could tell he wasn’t happy.

  “Talk soon?” I asked.

He nodded, but he didn’t say anything.

I turned my back on him and started for my front door. I opened it a crack, slipped through, and closed it behind me. I knew what I was doing. Soon, everyone would be on the same page. I’d have a formal sit-down with him and tell him what had happened the day we fought. I’d tell him I hadn’t wanted to tell him about Brody because I hadn’t wanted to hold him back, and he would understand. I knew what I was doing. I had a plan.

Everything was going to be okay.

  Right?

  Tyler

As I smoothed my hands down the front of my suit, I sighed. My date with Ana still weighed heavily on my mind, even after twenty-four hours. Not only had she not told me she loved me back, but I knew now more than ever that she was hiding something from me. Granted, I hadn’t given her a lot of space to say those words back to me, but I had figured my admittance would at least get her to open up a little bit.

But all it seemed to do was close her off more.

I was almost ready to open my services in my office building. I had unloaded the last of my clients I had back in Massachusetts and collected the last of their payments, referring some of them to a woman I knew who would make a shark of a defense lawyer one of these days. My parents were throwing me a party at their place—a wonderful, Beverly-Hills-esque party where I hoped to snag a few clients. People in those kinds of places kept men like myself on retainer, and if I could snag three or four of them, I’d be set.

Building my reputation was the key, and the only way to do that was by putting my best foot forward.

I buzzed by the office and put the finishing touches on some online and website advertisements of my services, then headed over to the party. My parents had been kind enough to throw me this party without me paying a cent for it, so I was going to show up and put on my best successful son shtick. My father worked with some of the state’s richest men and women because of his profession, so his offer to help me network would come at a high price.

  Specifically, tolerating my mother’s drunkenness.

The second I stepped foot into their home, I heard my mother laughing. It wasn’t that refreshing sort of laughter many sober people gave. I rolled my eyes and closed the door, then cleared my throat.

“There you are, Son! Richard, this is my boy. You remember Richard, right?” my father said.

“Richard Faust. Of course I do. How are you?” I said.

“Your father tells me you’ve grown into a hell of a defense attorney. How long are you in town for?”

“I’m here for good, sir. Why? Is there something wrong?”

“I would like to talk to you about something later, yes, but not now. Tonight, we’re celebrating your success.”

“Then I look forward to celebrating with you before I take your money,” I said, grinning.

The three of us shared a nice laugh before Richard patted my father’s back. I heard my mother laughing incessantly and shot my father a look. He rolled his eyes and shook his head, then took my arm and ushered me into the main room. I was bombarded with people who wanted to talk with me, all of them picking my brain about “hypothetical scenarios” and how I might handle them.

They were essentially interviewing me, so I stayed on my toes.

While fielding their questions and making the women giggle like schoolgirls, I heard my father bickering with my mother in the kitchen. Even though it was their party and their home, the last thing I needed was them making asses out of themselves. I kept everyone occupied and their ears trained my way, but I could see some eyes wandering toward the kitchen.

“Mr. and Mrs. Kumar! Gosh, it’s been a long time,” I said.

I intercepted them before they entered the kitchen, then guided them out onto the patio.

“How have you two been? I think the last time I saw you, we were all at the beach,” I said.

“Is everything okay with your mother?” Mr. Kumar asked.

“She looks a little sick. Should we be concerned?” his wife asked.
>
“Everything is fine.” Lowering my voice and inclining my head, I continued. “But between you and I?”

They leaned in close. This couple was always ready for a nice tidbit of gossip.

“I think they’re trying to, you know, spice things up? With their marriage?”

  “Oh,” they said in unison.

“I mean, it’s weird for me to think about, but there’s a reason I haven’t dropped in on them much since I got back,” I said.

“You know, Mr. Kumar and I tried something like that a little while back.”

“Sweetheart, I don’t think Tyler wants to hear about our love life,” he said.

“Sorry. But tell your parents if they want any ideas to give us a call. We know all too well how spicing things up can get out of control and cause issues. It’s hard to navigate, but well worth the ride. Mr. Kumar and I haven’t been happier.”

I internally cringed as the they started cuddling and kissing on one another. Yikes. I had read that situation a little too well. I left them making out on my parents’ porch and walked back inside, relief coursing through my veins.

“Tyler! There you are. Get over here and tell me how you’ve been.”

“Mrs. Hinglebottom, I haven’t seen you in ages. How are you doing?”

I embraced the old woman before we sat down on the couch. We talked and caught up. She told me about her newest granddaughter and how cute she was. And of course, with those stories came photos. I tried to engage as much as possible while still keeping an eye out for my parents. I had no idea where they had gone, and that worried me.

Mom was already drunk and she had already pissed off Dad, but their outbursts wouldn’t be the first time they had ruined a party in my presence. In fact, it was kind of a staple for the rich wives of the area to see what kind of shenanigans my mother could get herself into before gossiping about it later. I’d overheard my fair share of stories from the kids at school. The way their mothers all talked about my mother, the drunk, was sickening.

Part of me knew that most of these people were here at the party to witness what my mother would do next. The least I could do was snag a couple clients before I had to put out the fire.
